About the author

Author of over 85 novels, Dusty Richards is the only author to win two Spur awards in one year (2007), one for his novel The Horse Creek Incident and another for his short story “Comanche Moon.” He is a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the International Professional Rodeo Association, and serves on the local PRCA rodeo board. Dusty is also an inductee in the Arkansas Writers Hall of Fame. He currently resides in northwest Arkansas. He was the winner of the 2010 Will Rogers Medallion Award for Western Fiction for his novel Texas Blood Feud and honored by the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2009.

Why did the author feel the need to repeat how they met over and over? It got extremely irritating. I found the characters lacking. I think it could have been a good book but it just wasn’t developed. Kind of sad.

Chet is a wonderful man!

I've read all books the this series so far and Chet is a man's man in the strongest sense of the words. His character keeps this series going supported by his close family relationships and his sense of responsibility to others in need.

I did enjoy it, but probably my least favorite. For me, it was just a little too quick and too much on how Burns met his new wife. Another thing, the author does fill in a lot of pages by repeating the same thing over and over. In saying that, I still do enjoy these western books.

Another grand slam! The next chapter in the Byrne family saga continues to be just as captivating as the previous chapters. Mr. Richards continues to draw me in page after page to make me feel as if I am witnessing each day first hand. This chapter seems to me to have a bit more of a whimsical romantic flare than an outright western tale but was just as enjoyable. Can't wait to read more!

Arizona Territory Ranch Series 7.

I love the Chet Byrne's series, I highly recommend for anyone who likes to read a good book, with action and a good story line. You should read these books. You will be very satisfied. These book are on Goodreads, and I use a kindle. Thank you Phil
