Acheron Angelou knows how fortunate he is to be blessed with a bonded mate. And to be a powerful Vampire King with a bonded Vampire Queen is an even rarer and coveted occurrence―one that has not been seen in over five hundred years.
Yet, as the years pass by without him finding or even sensing her, Acheron must face the uncomfortable truth of who his mate could be. Not a Vampire, as he’d hoped. Perhaps not even from the Otherworld.
But when a chance encounter leads him straight to his Queen, all thoughts of leaving her alone vanish at the sight of his perfect bonded mate. Now, nothing and no one will stand in his way of claiming Alice.
Not even her husband.
Author Contains cheating between the Main Characters.
Even if it’s a bit of different than what I usually read about vampire stories, still I wasn’t really into it. It’s well written and the story flows very well. Hero is a powerful vampire that finds he has a mate, but he isn’t able to find her. It takes him thirty years to understand that his mate is a human and she can’t feel him, she’s also married to another human and what’s worse, the hero is in the middle of a terrible war with some other vampires that can’t wait to destroy his mate, if they knew who she was. So he decides to wait and let her live safely with her human husband. The heroine meanwhile has had a difficult life, she’s a foster kid and she’s been suffering from vivid dreams and I suppose she’s been taking antipsychotic medications for years. When she meets the hero she feels an immediate attraction and she is confused and feels guilty because she, in her way, loves her husband. So, basically, I don’t want t spoiler much but the heroine is not just a common human and there’s more to the story, so, it’s interesting and riveting but the love story with the hero is slow and fragmented. Basically until well past 50% of the book they don’t meet but a couple of times. And then there’s the hero’s behavior. Before he met the heroine he was very promiscuous and this is the way of vampires, ok. Then he stayed celibate when he found out he had a mate but broke his celibacy when he found out the heroine had married om. Basically he had these visions of her, so it’s not as if it’s her fault if she couldn’t sense him. For her, he wasn’t a mate. So, afterwards, when he meets her, he tries to make her jealous with another woman but why. She was simply a woman who was married so it looks like he wanted to punish her for something that was never her fault. All this knowing she was his mate, his queen as he called her, and I don’t like this kind of childish games that hurt her since she felt something for him but couldn’t explain why. To me he was just cruel and mean. In the end their story wasn’t that great. Unsafe, both were with op. The heroine was married and the hero did what he did because he saw her with her husband. First part there were too few interactions between them to appreciate the love story.
I need more!!! What a fun read 🖤🖤🖤 Why is no one talking more about this book?! It's amazing!!!
I always love a good fated-mate story and this one just gave me exactly what I wanted.
Alice has always thought sth was missing in her life, she never truly knows where to settle down so she kept on moving. Little did she know she really was missing and not something but a someone!!!! Enters our very devoted and amazing vampire MMC, Acheron.
The moment Alice was born, his heart started beating, he knew his fated mate was out there and he tried his best to find her but by the time he found her, she was already married... So what's a guy to do? 😏
This was short but not at all fast paced, in my opinion. Since they didn't really get together quickly which I enjoyed. I did want it to be longer bec I wanted more more more from these two especially after seeing that ending!!! Now I can't wait for more books from this series 😚🖤
What a rush with this one! I got everything I love about paranormal romances in one book! These 2 fated mates had me hooked on their story from the beginning. I cried for the H and h when things happened in their lives to further separate them. It was heartbreaking reading about H's pain from seeing his fated mate, who didn't even know him, get married . Although the man she picked was a good man and a good friend, she did it only because she didn’t want to lose the only friend she had in her life. As for the h, she was always searching for happiness and it felt constantly just out of reach becasue she was meant for the H. I was shocked at the end about a deception I didn't see coming, but rest assured, it's all in for the h and H, they have a beautiful Hea and we get a lovely Epilogue for them. Now off to wait for the next book!
Good story with just enough world building without being too much.
Cheating = H and h are fated mates, but have not met. h gets married, H has visions of the h which included seeing h getting married. So that's not the h cheating, but it still feels like a betrayal to H. h has many dreams with the H, h's husband feels betrayed by h's dream (stupid on his part, and he's not understanding). When h and H finally meet, they eventually kiss (there's the cheating...h cheating on her husband).
OW/OM drama = H tries to make h jealous by having OW be around, it works but also backfires as H does not want the h to be hurt. OM (another king who is supposedly H's friend) attempts to end the h and then runs away.
Entertaining book and there is the possibility of more books in the series.

I can’t tell you how much I loved this story! Acheron is truly a dreamy vampire❤️. From the beginning when his mate was born and his heart started beating, I fell in love with him. Alice was a human and had no idea she was a fated mate to a vampire but she knew some part of her was missing. She would find him in her dreams but then they would fade when she woke up, only remembering his eyes. It broke my heart when he had to watch her marry her best friend. (And this was from visions he had of her as he was still searching the worlds for her) I loved the instant attraction when he finally found her and they met fave to face. They do get their HEA and I would love to see more of them in the future. ❤️
First time reading this author. I really enjoyed this story. I felt so bad for David, but he shouldn’t have pushed to obtain what he knew in his heart wasn’t his to have. It was stressful (for me 😁) that so many years passed before Archeron finally found Alice. I was content when they came together, but of course somebody had to try to f*ck it up. That cliffhanger hopefully leads to a second book.
I loved this! It had been a long time since I read a vampire book and this warmed my cold heart so much!!! 🖤 I really liked how different this was with the fated mates trope. Also, that teaser at the end! Illegal!! Please, please say there will be a book for Damon 👏🏻
I enjoyed this couple and the angst they went through to finally find each other. She accepted her best friend as husband, because she thought it will help her feel home.
I was completely immersed in thus story. It was written so well I could actually see myself as Alice. The hurt and pain longing i felt it all. Totally recommended I want more
I had to think about this for awhile before I wrote anything. This would be the forth book I've read by the author (who I've enjoyed) and I started this one on Wattpad. It was interesting enough I wanted to know where the storyline went so I grabbed this as soon as it hit kindle. Mostly it was the same to the point it stopped on Wattpad but it never seemed to really pick up again. Dare I say there was too much sex to the point I was skipping it. Somehow it lacked angst while coming off as ...bland? IDK I was expecting more feeling especially when they met. All their "connection" happened in dreams, barely had real conversation or bonding. The FMC spent the whole time lusting after the MMC when in his presence then chastising herself saying how she had to stay with her husband. I'll be honest I felt bad for the guy pretty much the whole way through which made it hard for me to like the FMC. She is lonely and scared to be alone so she has a relationship and marries her husband because she doesn't want to lose him. While I understand this logically it did not make her appealing to me. She led the guy on and wasted his time, could even say she stole his chance of real love for selfish reasons. She basically cheated on him in her dreams their whole relationship unless she was drugging herself to sleep. Ugh I just didn't like how she treated her husband and that made me not like her. When I don't like her I struggle to be invested in her future. Plus there was no real groundwork between MMC and FMC. I need a stronger story with my smut.
