Lily likes being a witch. Sure, aside from floating pencils and telepathically communicating with her three best friends, there aren’t many real perks. Until it brings two of the hottest guys she’s ever seen into her life. Of course, there are always strings, and this one comes in the form of a prophecy foretelling her saving, and eventually ruling, a realm she’s never heard about in this lifetime. With dark fey suddenly hunting them down, Lily and her friends are forced to make a decision, complete the prophecy or turn their backs. If that isn’t enough stress, Lily also has a choice to make of her own. Trust in their brooding dark haired guide, Larkin? Or the golden dream stalker Ronan? One claims he’s her soul mate. Both want her back in a realm she can’t recall. What’s a girl to do?

I'm going to need some help with this review...
Much better.
I don't even know how to start with this one.
On one hand, there's an interesting premise to the book. 4 teenagers are reincarnations of magical beings and have special powers. Bad people are after them and they have to try to protect themselves and learn more about their heritage and their powers.
On the other hand, it was everything but the kitchen sink when it came to the magical/supernatural beings and I was wondering when it would stop. Shall I list them?
A. Insta-love B. Insta-love + love triangle C. Insta-love for secondary characters D. Hot guy on a motorcycle E. Evil ex-lover type F. Absentee Parental Units
The characters and the story was interesting enough but there was just too much going on. Too many histories and stories getting mixed together with far too many magical beings. It works in something like Harry Potter because as far as the first book goes, there aren't major characters that are different beings from different planets. You cannot introduce all of these different creatures into a book without it looking like you are trying too hard.
I liked Lily, the main character, fine though. She wasn't completely helpless and she liked to take charge which was nice. Her love interests both occupied the dark broody boy character which was a little typical but it wasn't a bad description of a relationship. It did feel like it was trying to pull on the Shattered series a bit with the old love interest coming to you in dreams but I was able to overlook that part of it.
But there's one thing that doomed this book for me.
PROOFREAD. NOW.
There were typos or misspellings every ten pages if not more frequently. This book desperately needed some editing and a lot of love because there is absolutely no excuse for spelling "melodramatic" as two words. "Mellow dramatic".
So yeah, real rating about a 1.8 so I'm rounding it up to 2 stars. The saving grace was the interesting idea behind the book but there was just too much going on with not enough editing.
I love the way this book started. The ending was just as fabulous. The entire concept of this book was so great, so intriguing, and so very entertaining. The book follows Lily as the key, influential character. Lily and her friends consider themselves witches. Each person has their own gifts and abilities that come with a name.
Lily and her friends know they are different from others. They know they have lived before.
"Discovering she was a witch has been the best thing to ever happen to her. Discovering that she was also a reincarnate of a past self...less awesome."
The four friends have now discovered their powers and are trying to find answers as to where they have come from and what their past lives were about. None of them have any memories of their past lives. As they begin their journey of finding answers, they meet a Castor, named Ameliona, who helps them. Shortly after her tarot card reading with Ameliona, Lily, is visited in a dream by Ronan. Ronan is blonde and beautiful with eyes that change color depending on his mood. Lily instantly feels a connection to him but she can't remember why or what they means. That's when all the crap starts happening. Lily's friend is attacked at a tattoo parlor and another person shows up to help. Larkin, is a Faolan, a man who turns into a werewolf. Larkin is tall dark and handsome with piercing blue eyes. He is there to protect Lily and bring her back to Bevain. He has answers to her questions about who she is and where she came from but he is bound by "the rules." Lily is instantly attracted to him but can she trust him? From Larkin, Lily, learns about "The Six." The group then goes in search of the missing two people to the coven and they find resistance from the Fae.
Ronan and Larkin each share snippets of information with Lily. Both are equally stubborn and Lily is forced to trust then while also being cautious. From Ronan, Lily learns that they are from a different realm.
Lily, is able to telepathically reach each of her friends. She could enter someone's dreams and feel what someone else was feeling. This helps as they all go in search of the missing two. This book covers the secrets about the missing coven members. There is character development for all. I think more will come out in the series about each character, but this book does a good job of covering so many. Not everything will be answered in this book but I felt things really progress in an exciting way. I liked the characters and I enjoyed their journey. I felt the story to be creative. It sucked me in.
Overall, each character is wrapped in a mystery that the reader follows. I'd love to read this book again, to catch those clues that I missed and to watch the mysteries unfold. I enjoyed the characters. I thought Larkin was sexy, if a bit difficult at times. Ronan is mysterious. His character will be more interesting to me as the series continues. The book ends nicely, but there is still so much to learn about the characters. I'd love to read the next book.

**I received an ARC of "Within a Dream" by Tempest C. Avery from the group We❤ YA Books! in exchange for my honest review.
Lily is a witch, along with her 3 friends, and she enjoys being one. One day, they went to a new store namely "Mystik’s Mercurial Shop" at their local place and Lily's future was read. Ever since, she'd been thinking a lot on what the woman, named Ameliona, had said about her future. She's been seeing this guy watching her and this guy named Ronan. Ronan first appeared in her "dream" and said he's her soulmate. And then there's Larkin who's said to be their guide.
Tempest, this is one great story! There's something about her books that's just interesting. Within a Dream is a mix of witches, werewolf, feys, goblins, darkness and a lot of adventure! It's a very fun read though it can be quite boring at first since you'll be quite confuse because it has a lot of characters. But, you'll get hooked with the story and the mystery between who's this and who's that.
“Isn’t it obvious, Dreamer?” he whispered into the darkness, the words echoing around her as if being whispered directly against the curve of her ear. “To protect us,” the corner of his mouth turned up wickedly, “from each other."
So, when I've read this from Chapter 16, I think I shouted like a mad ape or something. I needed answers! I flipped pages from Chapter 17 so fast 'cause I though I'd find it there but nooo.
“You called me your boyfriend back there.” “It was a distraction tactic,” she rushed out. “Liar.”
I can't help but swoon over Lily and Larkin! Who wouldn't? Their chemistry is everything and worth swooning for! I often catch myself smiling because of these two. They're so adorable!
This is the 2nd book of Tempest C. Avery that I've read. As much as I've enjoyed reading this book, I can't help but be annoyed with some sentences that have wrong grammar. Compared to Unhinged, Within A Dream contains more wrong grammars. I honestly like Tempest's books because of her bright ideas and imagination but the frequent wrong grammars from her books are not very satisfying. I think her editor needs to double check her books.
Lastly, I would like to say that this book is a total CLIFFHANGER! WHAT THE HECK! I thought Unhinged's ending is a cliffhanger but this is more of a cliffhanger! I. NEED. MORE!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)
I feel like the author instantly knew everything I wanted in a novel, made sure it was perfect and then put it all in a brilliant formation that had me at its mercy, I felt like this author was like “alright Danni, this one’s for you, you won’t be disappointed.” And I wasn’t, I was anything but and my next step is to get a signed copy of this book and sit it proudly upon my bookshelf.
So we have Lily, she’s our main girl and she and her three friends have been able to talk telepathically, talk to plants, read stars and fortune tell since they turned twelve. But what all four of them have to wrestle with is the fact that their current life wasn’t their first and in their last life, they were from a different world all together. We then meet Larkin who’s this mysterious and hunky piece of man who can’t help but saving Lily’s ass on more than one occasion – his ultimate goal? To bring the four friends back to his homeland to save his people from The Dark. A power consuming his world and the people in it. And then there is Ronan – a gorgeous guy who stalks her dreams and reveals pieces of herself that Lily wonders how he knows. Lily is thrust into a world she doesn’t understand, prophesised to rid the Dark from her home world. But it’s not as straight forward as it’s made out to be and Lily struggles to deal with the consequences of her past life as she tries to remember who she was and what part she played – her limits are tested and every aspect of her life including her heart and her sanity will be pulled to breaking point. The question is, who can she trust?
I was never bored, not even once. From start to finish I was enthralled and mesmerised it had this electrical intrigue that spiced up every page. I was surprised by the inclusion of everything ranging from action-packed scenes to the love triangle. It had scary monsters that were actually scary – not just scary to the characters but to the reader. I loved that instead of being yanked back into memories, we just learned about them through the characters – there is nothing I hate more than boring flashbacks that take up an entire chapter and gave me maybe three pieces of vital information but wasted half an hour of my time. You get a paranormal fill without being overloaded. Witches, faeries and wolves – I promise, you’ll get a healthy dosing of it all.
Lily, a witch, discovers newfound magical powers that bring two attractive young men into her life. However, these newfound abilities also come with a prophecy about her saving and ruling an unfamiliar realm. As dark forces pursue them, Lily and her friends must decide whether to fulfill the prophecy or ignore it. Additionally, Lily faces a personal choice between trusting her dark-haired guide, Larkin, or the golden dream stalker, Ronan, both claiming a connection to her and a return to a forgotten realm. It's a tale of magic, prophecy, and romantic dilemmas.
I personally liked the first three books Tempest C. Avery did about these characters. The story initially had a somewhat confusing start, but as it progressed, the plot and characters gradually became clearer and more understandable. What stood out in comparison to other stories was the increased presence of adventure and suspense, which added depth and excitement to the narrative. While this particular installment wasn't bad, the experience might have been enhanced had it been approached independently, without prior exposure to the other stories.
***I received this book in exchange for an honest review, Lovers of Paranormal.***
This is the second book I've read by Tempest C. Avery and it blows my mind that she still has not published something. This book was AWESOME. So good.
What a great concept. Great characters. A great love triangle that confuses the hell out of everybody. Lily was a great strong character and perfect Dreamer for the Six. I love the fantastical elements and the mythological elements (that Avery is really great at explaining).
I LOVED Larkin. He was a great guide to come in and win your heart over. I'm definitely favoring him at the moment.
I'm ready to devour the next book Tempest C Avery has for me, she is definitely one of my favorite independent authors of the year.
I really enjoyed this book. I love the characters as always...but this time it was fresh, clean, and quite the page turner. I am eager for more...and the men are so sexy!!!
I received my copy of Within a Dream by Tempest C. Avery through the Lovers of Paranormal group on Goodreads. I give the book 4 stars. It captured my attention from the opening paragraph and maintained a consistent level of action, discovery and anticipation throughout. The story line contained witches, shifters, several courts of the fae, voodoo, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Fae form, alternate realms, prophesy, self-discovery and a very light sprinkling of romance. The light and dark elements at work are battling for both control of a throne as well as control over The Dreamer, Liliandra Bryg. This story contained all the elements one could hope for in a YA Paranormal/Urban Fantasy novel: a likeable heroine (in the form of Liliandra Bryg) who struggles to accept the role that she has been cast into, a supporting troupe of friends who are just coming into the abilities, a quest for missing members, a prophecy that dooms the Earth and several other realms if the heroine does not make the right choice. Lily and her friends Fiona, Caer and Ruarc are well aware that they possess magical abilities. While they do not consider themselves Wiccans, they are interested in the occult and are able to cast minor spells. Having been drawn together by chance during a fortune telling reading at a Fun Fair at their school, they became fast friends and actively grow their talents as a supportive group while still being regular teenagers. A chance visit to a new store in town changes their destiny. While checking out a new shop that specializes in Wiccan items, they meet the owner of the shop, an odd older woman who reads their fortunes. Interestingly, she is well aware of their individual talents, the names they go by, such as The Dreamer, the Warrior, the Fortune teller, the Stargazer. She makes several disturbing statements which resonate with Lily and leave her questioning herself. All four friends are well aware that they lived past lives, but their memories for the most part are blocked. Over the next several days the reader learns a great deal about the four friends burgeoning abilities, but most importantly, the friends discover that they are a part of something far greater. Tragedy strikes their group as Lily discovers that her friends at a local tattoo parlor, where she has just received a tattoo of her Dreamer symbol, have been viciously attacked, and it is clear that the elements at play are not human. Lily meets Larkin Devlin, the strikingly mysterious boy who was at the tattoo parlor the day she received her tattoo. He is in the know and informs her that this a fae attack. He helps her and her friend exit the shop before the police arrive. Someone is after Lily and is trying to hurt her acquaintances to get to her. As the Dreamer, Lily is not so much visited by a powerful and handsome young man in her dreams, as she is transported to his realm during her sleep. Through these nocturnal visits with Ronan and her day time conversations with Larkin, Lily discovers that she and her friends are part of a group known as The Six, powerful witches from another realm known as Bevain. Bevain is under attack from dark forces trying to take control of the throne. It has been under attack for the last 300 years since The Six disappeared to another realm. Finally they have been found, and Larkin has been sent to bring them back to Bevain to fulfill the prophecy whereby Lily regains the throne and brings peace to the various realms. The problem bring: The Six don’t remember their past lives, can’t recall the prophecy, don’t know what they are to do, and they are missing two members. To make matters worse, Lily isn’t sure whether she can trust Larkin or Ronan, or the Fae horseman Nicodemus who has his own agenda, debts to be paid and obligations to create with Lily. Unfortunately, in this past life, Lily, Ronan and the leader of the other Fae realm agreed on a set of game rules, which she can’t remember. Tied to these game rules is the fact that Larkin and Ronan are unable to disclose certain information to her. While she and her friends go on a road trip to New Orleans to locate the two missing members of their group they are repeatedly viciously attacked by Fae monsters, wounded, separated and forced to deal with life altering decisions on the fly. While a part of them is finally fulfilled, knowing that they are all back together, that they have a family/friendship unit, they seem divided on what to do about this prophecy that they can’t remember. Some members want to just blindly jump realms and do whatever they can to save Bevain, while Lily is at once cautiously weighing whether she wants in on this battle that she is unaffected by in her regular teenaged life, while at the same time being drawn into the battle by her feelings for Larkin and Ronan. Who is light, who is dark, what decisions did she make in the past that put them in the position they are currently in? I was so wrapped up in the events that I did not notice that the book was drawing to a close and we were dangling on the precipice of a very exciting cliffhanger. I really wanted this book to be a stand alone novel, I wanted answers now!! Other random comments: the romance was light and honest, for the most part language was mild. Characters were intriguing (Ronan and Larkin in particular). Interesting mergings of mythology and Biblical characters. A little reminiscent of Karen Marie Moning with the Fae realms bleeding over into the Earthly realm, which just upped the ante for Lily to get her game on and head to Bevain. The copy I received was badly in need of a proof read, two chapter 15’s, “connivance store” rather than convenience store – either errors made by spell check, or grammar errors spell check could not pick out. Not fleshed out enough for a strong adult read, but very entertaining and engaging for a YA audience. Can’t wait for the next book, would definitely recommend and plan to read more by Tempest C. Avery.

Within a Dream is such an interesting story that leaves you asking more questions than before. In this book, we follow the story of Lily and her friends. Lily and her group are different from your average day-to-day human, they just so happen to be witches. Not just any witches at that though, they are THE MOST POWERFUL witches in all the realms. That's already a lot of pressure when you're just a teen. To add to that, they have already lived once before, but can't even recall enough of their pasts to know it. When creatures not-of-this-world begin to attack they learn that they're clique isn't complete. Soon after, they go on the search to track down they're missing counterparts. To make matters worse, the Dark is destroying their home realm and is after Lily for his own purposes. I REALLY enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end. Lily has a lot of pressure thrust upon her to be the leader that she once was. Everyone feels the pressure of not remembering and everyone feels the ever-growing frustration it brings. I especially enjoyed Larkin who is their guide back home. Lily and Larkin seem to have something develop as the story plays out, but Lily may also have feelings for another who visits during her dreams, but is very real. This story does leave you on an extreme cliffhanger, but now I am very ready to read the sequel when it comes out. I strongly recommend this book to those who enjoy stories about witches, other realms, evil fae, and hot book boyfriends!!
When I first started this book, it was a little slow, only for about 15-20 pages, then it all action and adventure! I really didn't know what to except since this is my first book by Tempest Avery, but she did not let me down. This teen-drama romance, well it has so many elements to count. The plot was new and exciting. I enjoyed each characters, they each had there own way that set them a apart. I enjoyed having a strong female lead, she wasn't strong all the times, but that would not be good for the story. This book introduced us to rebirth (reincarnations), different realms, creatures from other realms and a powerful Sixth, that are still trying to remember their past life. If that don't intrigue you then I don't know what!! There is adventure, fighting odd creatures and reconnecting with old friends. But, a battle is upon them that they must prepare for, and it will take all of them to fight to save another realm before darkness takes over. I want say more, but I am waiting for Ms. Avery to GET THE NEXT BOOK OUT SOON!! Ms. Avery your one talented writer!! I recommend this to all teen romance paranormal lovers, its worth the read and more!!!
I received a copy of the epub from the Goodreads group Lovers of Paranormal (LoP) in exchange for an honest review.
Tempest C. Avery’s Young Adult Paranormal Romance Within a Dream is a creatively written read. Lily and her coven understand that they are witches. Lily is a confident and strong character. The secondary characters add depth as well. The coven is looking forward to their summer vacation prior to their senior year of high school. Their break will not be boring. Little do they know that their peaceful lives will forever change.
Within a Dream draws the reader immediately into Lily’s life. The many twists and turns add to this page-turner. As she discovers the reality of her existence her life becomes complicated. Secrets are slowly exposed on her dangerous journey. And enter Larkin and Ronan—both are handsome—can either be trusted? There is a connection with them but will their true identities be revealed. Whom will she choose?
The action scenes, fantastical world and scary creatures make Within a Dream an entertaining read. Lily’s journey is far from over.
*** I was provided this book for free in return for an honest review ***
I found myself growing increasingly attached to this book and the characters as the story progressed! By the end I was flying through the pages! The story surrounds Lily and her friends as they discover the truth about who they are and where their powers come from. There is a healthy dose of mystery, adventure and romance. As well as some twists! The reader really connects with Lily as she struggles with unknowns... We are right there with her! At first I got a bit lost in the book's repetition of thoughts and description, but this decreased as the book went on, lending to a nice pace and flow. If you like supernatural beings, this book is for you, almost every type of "creature" you can think of had a part in this tale- werwolves, witches, faeries, aliens... You name it! This book built to an exciting conclusion, leaving me excited to read what will happen next!!
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal).
It was a good read, but admittedly confusing at times. And there were so many mysteries, so many unknowns, so many omissions and lies... And let me tell you, Lily was very slow at times. Like, I connected the dots ages ago and she just realized who the Dark was in the very end. What the heck of a powerful witch you are?! I liked her friends, especially Ruarc and then later Breck and Bran. I wasn't much of a Larkin's fan. He was too bossy and really annoying. Yeah, there was an attraction between them, so what? Am I weird for liking Ronan more, even (sort of) knowing who he really is? Because despite his change of moods (which was a little scary) he was much more interesting. And I can't wait to know their history together and to actually meet him in the next book. Speaking of which... The cliffhanger is a real witch, I must tell you. I need book 2 like right now.

'Within a Dream' took me by surprise. I was hooked from the beginning. I literally lost sleep due to the storyline being so good. The way the story played out was full of action, magic and mystery surrounding the characters. The characters were great. Lily made an awesome lead. I doubt I'd want to be put in her position, but then again, it would be cool to be a witch. She had a great personality and sense of humor. Lorkin was an intriguing guy. I wasn't sure how many secrets would be exposed, so when they were, they were big. And then, BAM, cliffhanger. I want the next book now. A great start to an awesome series.
*I have received this book for free from the We ♥ YA Books! group and Tempest C. Avery in exchange for a honest review.*
This is the first book I have read by author, Tempest C. Avery, and really enjoyed it! Her work is unique and captivating! The best part of this book? The character development! I adored Lily! I liked how we are slowly introduced to each person until they all have a part in the story. I also LOVE to read Love Triangles! Yep, this book has one! Both guys are so unique, and I really was curious about one of the guy's identities. Both are swoon-worthy! Overall, this romantic fantasy was an excellent introduction to the different realms the author has built. I look forward to reading the sequel! I'm giving this book five glittery stars!
Lily and her friends are forced to make a decision. Should they complete the prophecy? This decision leads to mystery and danger. Lily also finds herself in a love triangle. Great believable characters that I can connect with. A page turner. I received this book free for an honest review.
I was given a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review, so here goes. I started this book in March, and only just finished it, so the pages didn't exactly turn themselves. The beginning of the story was really confusing. We were introduced so so many new characters and realms and ideals, it left my head spinning. On the flip-side of the coin, having so many diverse characters means there's more likely a chance you'll relate to one of them. For me, that character was Caer. She's quiet, bookish and always dressed in comfortable clothing. Perfect, right? Then we were introduced to Larkin, the dreamy enigma. Also known as Faolán, which means little wolf *hint, hint*. Throughout the book I had mixed feelings toward Larkin. He was demanding and mysterious and HOT. But he kinda put me off that by being so possessive of Lily. Too possessive. On to Ronan, the boy of Lily's dreams. Haha excuse me for that pun. He isn't really the boy of her dreams, but rather the boy in them. I liked the fact that his eye color changed with his mood, but I think the plot twist revolving him was predictable. Mysterious faery, suddenly in her dreams, speaking of "games" . . . Once I got through the first bit of the book, it seemed to go faster. I think one thing I really liked about Within a Dream was how modern it was, in the face of old ideals and myths. Refreshing and unusual. Overall, well done, Ms Avery, on a well-written book. Hopefully others read it just a little faster than I.
Received the book free from the author in exchange for a honest review.
The story starts off with Lily and her friends visiting a Wiccan shop called Mystik's Mercurial Shop. From there Lily and her friend have a reading done on them. From living a normal witchy life it all goes to hell when her future was read. Trying to find more about their past lives, they encounter a guy named Larkin who has been looking for them. While he has been helping them out, he also is trying to find a way for them to return to their true home. As for Lily aka the dreamer, when asleep she dreams and sees a man named Ronan who turns out to be the dark. In order to save the realms, she and the six must find it in themselves to seeks their past memories.
The book was pretty interesting to read. You have witches who find out about their past lives and trying to understand them and where they come from. Lots of fighting going around since the fey want Lily. The characters where okay to like but there was a lot of secrets to keep track of, and of course since there were secrets throughout the book, we got a lot of "I can't say" "you must find out yourself" going around. Which speaking of secrets, I got tired of Lily demanding so much. I get that you want to know everything but there comes a time that you can't through a tantrum when someone tells you that you must find the answer yourself. Though there was that the book was really good and it keep me interested to the end wanting more.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
HOLY HOTNESS!! Just want to get this out of the way now, these guys are drop dead freaking gorgeous! I found a couple more book boyfriends to add to my ever growing list!
So besides the cute guys there is a heck of a lot going on in this book. I had trouble staying interested in parts because it seemed to drag on or just be a little boring and repetitive but all in all this is a good book. The characters were very well written and the story was great to read! I am a big fan of Larkin, Ronan can just go screw himself. Even though he is a little intriguing!
This is a book full of past lives, magic, alternate realms and other amazing things that just make it better and better! Like I said though I found some parts to be a bit bland. OH…and I just am really curious. WHERE THE HECK WERE THE PARENTS IN ALL THIS??? Maybe it’s because I’m a mother myself, but I don’t really understand how they really didn’t come into this at all when the book is about teenagers…..that’s just my opinion though!
Overall a very good read and I am very much looking forward to the next installment!
*I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review.*
Why is it that when things are finally falling into place then that has to happen.
This is kind of confusing. Actually what's more confusing is the complex relationship of Lily between Larkin and Ronan. I won't go into details about the journey of Lily with the others just that they need to complete their group while trying to stay alive and the hints of Lily and the gang returning to the other realm.
There are still a lot of secrets that needs to be revealed and the most interesting one was just revealed near the ending. There's also the prophecy and the games that were mentioned but not totaly revealed.
I'm also not a fan of love triangles but the outcome turned out a bit differently. Lily's quite a contradiction too because it was her choice in her past life that she's in her current situation and now, she's whining and making a big deal out of it mostly throughtout the whole book. I do understand her situation but it's a bit annoying.
Still, I liked the uniqueness of this story and there's a room for improvements. I can't wait to read their next journey. Also, I was hoping this was a standalone but it isn't. Wishful thinking in my part.

******Book received in exchange for an honest review from We ❤️ YA Books******
Ok so I was super excited when I received this because it sounded super duper interesting and ofcourse being a lover of almost anything paranormal it totally called to me However when I started to read it sort of let me down like having read way too many paranormal fictions I could understand the characters but I can understand why someone not well versed in all thing paranormal would get it.
Even for me it was a quiet confusing like I think there was just way too much going on witches, werewolves feys it just got extremely complicated
However half way through the book the story started picking up with more of the plot being explained and relationship being explored.
But it was totally the end of the book that had me hooked and seriously awaiting the next book THAT CLIFFHANGER!!!!!
But Overall i really like the book it's was a very refreshing view to paranormal fiction⭐️⭐️ And I adore books with strong female leads ❤️
So finally author please please please publish a sequel soon the suspense is too much!!!!!
I enjoyed this book. I really like the connection between Lily and her friends. Lily is a witch but does not know how important of a witch she is until Larkin shows up. One day she is an average kid/ witch and next she finds out she is part of a prophecy that connects three realms. Lily and her friends find out they are 4 of "The Six", which are six powerful witches. They go on a journey to find the last two of "The Six". Along the way they tap into their true selves. They must decide if they are going to go to another realm to fight the darkness or remain where they are in the realm of "The Other".
This author hooks you from the beginning. As Lily and her friends try to figure who they are you cannot stop reading. I love the contrast between Lily and Larkin. They are total opposites but want the same thing, to save the ones they love. This book leaves you on the edge and I cannot wait to read the next book to find out what happens.

Really enjoyed this book, admittedly i found it slightly confusing at times, but thats only because there is a lot going on, and you have to keep up with so much, especially to start with, it did take me a few chapters to get into it, but after that the pages just flew by...
Found Lilly a great character I think however she needs to become a lot more stronger in the next book, she is great don't get me wrong, I just feel that she almost needs to come into her self a little & start understanding her "other life' and become the all so powerful witch she is meant to be.
I completely feel in love with Larkin.! I'm Larkin & Lilly all the way..! I thought all the characters were great, especially Breck & Bran who showed up quite late on in the book, can't wait to learn more about them in the next book.
I found Ronan very intriguing, and cant wait to see what naughty mischief he is going to cause in book 2..!
Overall really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait for book 2....
I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)
OK. This book was difficult for me.
I didn't hate it but I just couldn't keep track of the story line. It felt a little all over the place. I didn't feel there was adequate character development. Lily also seemed so helpless. They tried to give her a badass image but I just couldn't connect to it. In all honesty, I had a hard time connecting to any of the characters. Secrets are good in a book because you want to keep reading to find out what they are. This book just had wayyy too many secrets to keep track of who was keeping what from whom. I think the attempted storyline was good. It doesn't seem like a story I've come across. But, in the end, it was just ok for me.
I understand editing to be expensive, but this is in dire need of proofreading. At the very least, the author could go over it a little more with a fine-tooth comb.
I was given a free copy of this ebook in return for a honest review. Tempest C. Avery has truly outdone herself this time!! Easily one of the best books I've read in a long time! Within a Dream was absolutely enchanting and I was completely consumed by it. Like with Tempest's other fantastic reads, Unhinged and Beguiling Trickery, I could not put this book down once I started reading it. I immediately found myself falling in love with the characters and found the story extremely fascinating. Between witches, werewolves and fae, what more could one possible ask for in a paranormal novel? Tempest managed to keep the story thrilling from beginning to end. My only disappointment was that it had to come to an end. It left me wanting more so I can't wait for book 2 to come out!! Easily 5/5 stars. I recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal books filled with suspense and excitement. :)
I've said a lot in my previous review on the book so I'll only touch on the ending. Larkin broke my heart. He was amazingly sweet. Ronan is a traitor and Fiona and Bran (I think it was) is adorable. The ending was definitely a good terrible, good in the sense that it was a well done ending and terrible as in suspense-filled, need-to-read-the-sequel terrible. Well done Ms Avery. I felt it was successful and well executed.
I really enjoyed this story. The story itself kept you reading and guessing until the very end and the characters were also great. Each unique and very memorable! I can't wait to find out what happens to everyone! Hope to read more of Tempest C. Avery's work in the future. What a great and talented writer.
I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I loved following Lily on the journey to learn more about herself and her friends. The guy characters in the book are very dreamy too! This book kept me reading and wanting more. I was very happy to read this book and I would read more from this author. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.*
I really like the story and I wish the next book was out already because I can't wait to read it! I love all the characters involved but I feel like there's still a lot to be explained. Hopefully book 2 will go into more detail.
