As soon as I saw those teasers dropping I knew I had to grab this, love the tropes, love the cover, love the author, no brainer to read it..

God where to even start with this, I grabbed my coffee, sat down on my comfy couch and before I knew it I'd finished this, this author has such an uncanny knack at pulling me in, everything I've read by her are unique, unforgettable, unputdownable and leave you craving more.

672668917-948338918104471-140654187562419399-n

She was there (wrong time, right place) to get the story of a lifetime, only to be smack dab in the middle of a riot, men in there for unthinkable crimes have one thing they want...Her...And they will stop at nothing to get her. Her only salvation is to rely on Stone the notorious killer to save her..

Stone Blackthorne, is currently serving a life time sentence for murder but his story isn't so cut and dry, there's many holes in his story which don't add up, and like a dog with a bone Aria is going to prise them out of him. She's followed his story since his incarceration and is prepared to throw some hard questions his way.

672683433-948338968104466-9040401174915385916-n

I loved these two, the banter, the twists and turns, the reconnecting, on the run, dodging cops, this threw everything it could at me and I lapped up every second of it.

Started strong, but the prison riot was the beginning of the end. Can we please stop calling books rom-coms when they’re not funny and the romance is basically nonexistent? Friendly reminder: banter ≠ humor.

I listened to the audio of this one and it was sooo good.

This follows Aria who has just got her big break and secured an interview with convicted felon Stone Blackthorne, currently serving life for murder. But Stones story has holes and Aria is determined to find out the truth. Imagine her surprise when she finds out she’s top of his murder list for reasons unknown to her and oh yeah, she’s currently helping him escape prison!

“How did my big break, turn into his big break out?” – Aria Ashford

Not your usual story line which I LOVED as it leaves you guessing how Aria and Stone are getting out of their situation.

I really can’t say much more about this without spoilers but you have to read this.

What to expect:
🔪 prison break
🔥 unhinged decisions
💋 questionable flirting at the worst possible times
🚔 on the run
😈 morally grey everything

There’s also a bonus scene at the end of this book that you NEED to read!!

Sheridan is an expert at writing hot, dangerous men. In whom, by 3 or 4 chapters have me and the FMC in a literal chokehold. Stone is 6'7", a beast locked up to serve 190years, give or take, and in the end you will be rooting for his HEA.

Sometimes people do bad things for good reasons. Sometimes people get dealt crap hands. This is a book of unfolding truths, healing and new beginnings. Lots of laughs and struggles, she said dark romcom and well it was. I laughed, I swooned, and I got a little grossed out.

There's a few spicy scenes that are incredible. The danger, the living and loving in the moment.

1000% RECOMMENDED!!! One of my top 5 books of 2026.....

What in the ever loving did I just read..... I know, another brilliantly written story by the best Australian author that I constantly read over & over again. This author is so freaking good I recommend her so much to my friends. This sneaky author released this to the public without any preorders & it made my day!!.

He's in for alot of human years for the past mistakes he has made. She is a reporter for a company that does not value her work & she is constantly keeping up with the updated news. She follows Stone's history & goes for an interview at the jail he is in. Aria & Stone's relationship is full on. Long story short, she follows him outta the jail on onto the streets by being a victim in the beginning. Then makes her moves on him *wink wink*. Their banter is really cute, upbeat & very enjoyable to read. I fell in love with them both during this & didn't want the story to finish at all.

As always, Sheridan has killed it again with this one !! First of all, she didn’t tell anyone she was releasing it and then BAM, amazing dark romcom. I have loved every Sheridan book I have read. They are always dark and make you connect with every single one of her characters. This one was no different, but she added some amazing humor for a twist. The build up of enemies to lovers took a whole new level because the two main characters have a twisted past you don’t see coming. I loved everything about this one !

✨ First Impressions
I knew this was going to be alot of fun. I did this book via audiobook and it was duet and it was amazing, the different voices definitely made the story so much better.
It was a funny, action packed book, it does have darker themes but also had the right amount of banter and humour.

🖤 Plot & Pacing
Plot is fantastic. Aria has a sass mouth and pestered the worst criminal's lawyer into letting her interview him. she has tenacity thats for sure. only she goes to interview him and her gross boss takes over (i was so mad) then a riot breaks out at the prison. aria is now locked in a room with a psycho who saves her from the inmates but also wants to kill her.
So many secrets hidden in this book!
🔥 Characters
Aria- Suffered Injury and has memory loss and while recouping in hospital obsessed over court TV of a serial killer and his case. She is sassy and opinionated, she builds her life and becomes a journalist and annoys his lawyer enough to finally interview Stone. She also has secrets
Stone- 6"7 (IYKYK) beast of a man, tattooed to hell, convicted serial killer and secret keeper.

🌶️ Spice Level
Ooof! Get me a MOP coz damn this was some good spice.
My Fav: Aria seeing a pentagram in a haunted house and before getting dirty asks if the demon has a barbed "member" !!! cackling.
But in all seriousness..... its spicy and hot a hell. Also Stone is 6"7 soooooo you know its monstrous!

🫶 Final Thoughts
I need more Dark Romance Rom-Coms.... Like a Dark-Com???
It was gritty, fun, action packed, and spicy.
The audio narration was perfection and the extra art work inside the written versions ! *Chefs KISS*

4.05⛓️‍💥📝

greening giggling laughing gasping screaming wheezing throwing up

Okayyy… this was my first book by this author, so I'll admit my feelings are a bit conflicted. Overall, it was enjoyable and fun, but the plot dragged in places and then rushed into the conclusion. The storyline had promise, I just wish the execution had been handled better.

Oops! I’m Wanted Again leans fully into chaos in the best way. Reporter Aria sets out to interview Stone Blackthorne, the most notorious killer alive, serving four life sentences at Hartley Creek Maximum Security Penitentiary. What begins as a prison interview spirals into a jailbreak, and suddenly Aria is on the run with Stone. Dark, gritty, fast‑paced, suspenseful, and still funny enough to keep that rom‑com edge. It’s feral and unhinged in a promising way.

The pacing was uneven: slow and dragged at first, then a climax that felt too sudden and a conclusion that was overly short and direct. Their shared past could've been developed more, with deeper background for both characters. I also wished for more brutal detail in Stone's final kill list, and the "most wanted fugitive" angle felt a little lame. Still, the humor at the beginning softened things, and the ending tied it together just enough.

Huge appreciation to Lee Samuels and Brooke Daniels for narrating this audiobook. They made Stone and Aria come alive, and the duet style elevated every chase, every tense moment, and every hilarious exchange. Their performance made the story more fun and bearable.

Since this was my first book from the author, I'm still getting used to her writing style. But I'm curious enough to check out more of her works. So, let's see if my heart pulls me back to her in the future💥🏃🏻‍♀️

Aria is a journalist trying to make a name for herself, and she is determined that this interview will do it. Having become obsessed with a notorious killer as she watched his trial from her hospital room 7 years ago, she is convinced there is more to the story than what the lawyers portrayed, and that she will be the one to uncover the truth. When she arrives at the prison with her boss and their crew, the last thing she expected was for the man in the orange jumpsuit to act like they knew each other, and that she had betrayed him in some way. When a prison riot forces her to follow him or be left to the convicts chasing her, she crosses her fingers and hopes for the best.

Despite his four consecutive life sentences, Stone has one mission, get back at the people responsible for putting him away, and the redheaded journalist is at the top of his list. While she pretends not to know him, he knows better, and he will do whatever it takes to make his Menace pay. As easy as it would be to use the chaos of a riot to snap her neck and walk away, he needs her to confess her sins, so now he’s forced to drag her along on his escape.

In true Sheridan Anne fashion, this book was unhinged in the best possible way, and yet the chaos that ensues from Stone and Aria connecting had me laughing out loud at times. Although she’s convinced this is a case of mistaken identity, Aria can’t deny how attracted she is to Stone, and even knowing he could end her without a second glance isn’t enough for her to stay away. While she convinces herself that she can just distract him long enough to escape, once she sumbits to him, there’s no going back.

📚 Oops! I’m Wanted Again
🖋️ Sheridan Anne
✨ Standalone

🖤 One phrase: deranged hostage rom com with black flag chemistry.

This sounds absolutely feral in the best way. A prison interview turns into a jailbreak, and suddenly Aria is on the run with Stone Blackthorne, a convicted felon who is apparently one giant walking red flag, except red is way too soft for him. What makes this one special is that it seems to fully lean into the chaos. Dark, gritty, fast paced, suspenseful, and still funny enough to keep that rom com edge.

My favorite part is easily the setup. “Oops, I accidentally broke a murderer out of prison and now I’m his pretty little hostage” is such an outrageous hook. Add in the chase, the mystery around Stone’s past, the alpha protective energy, and the fact that the chemistry sounds hot enough to set the whole forest on fire? Yeah, I get it.

✨ Tropes & vibes
🚨 prison break chaos
🖤 dark rom com
🔪 hostage romance
🔥 black flag hero
🏃 on the run together
😮 suspense and mystery
💋 filthy banter energy

📖 Read this if you like

Stone Blackthorne sounds like the kind of man you absolutely should not trust... which is obviously the appeal.

Oops! I’m Wanted Again is a fast‑paced, (not quite) dark romance that feels like someone spiked an enemies‑to‑lovers trope with caffeine, chaos, and a side of tequila. Oh and let’s just throw in a prison break no one planned, for shitz and gigs.

With an FMC that has no filter, who can barely contain her inner chaos gremlin, Aria is a menace but in the best way. I mean, who else would help a convicted felon escape and then argue with him about it while running for her life.

Speaking of convicted felon’s, let me introduce Stone Blackthorne. He’s the morally grey, bad boy that can demolish a football team single handed and still come back asking what’s for dessert. Absolutely not the kind of man you should make eye contact with… unless you enjoy trouble.

Equiped with sassy one liners and a moral compass that definitely points anywhere but north, this volatile pairing will have you saying “oh no,” before it has you screaming “Oh yes”.

Speaking of screaming “Oh yes”. The spice? A solid 4.5 chilli burn, hot enough to fog up your Kindle but still grounded in the banter and heavy chemistry that makes this duos dynamic addictive.

If you love:

• a good old‑fashioned prison break
• chaotic FMC energy
• morally grey men who should come with warning labels
• laugh‑out‑loud moments between chase scenes

…then this one’s absolutely for you.

What a fun surprise release!

I really enjoyed the FMC, Aria. She was sarcastic as fuck and I liked that. I can’t say I usually go for the amnesia trope but it worked for the storyline.

The MMC, Stone is a protective grumpbutt. I mean, to be fair he is in prison so who would be happy with that? His lawyer was a useless dick too - Sure, Stone might have murdered a bunch of people but do your job my dude.

The rom com element was sprinkled only in Aria’s POV so you really get the grumpy/sunshine feels. Aria is a hoot. I love her witty comebacks and sassy demeanor.

I don’t want to go into detail on what transpired to avoid spoilers but this book mostly takes place with Stone breaking out of prison and Aria inadvertently being an accomplice/hostage. You find out that Stone knows Aria and he knew her long before the “interview” but she has no idea, or why he decided to give her the pet name Menace.

Knocked off one star because the ending was a little too much cookie cutter for my taste but it ends in HEA so I’m not mad about it either.

This is prison break romantic comedy read.

What to expect

Tropes:
💣 Enemies to Lovers
💜prisoner break
💣 Mistaken identity
💜Morally grey
💣 Grumpy | Sunshine
💜Touch her and 💀
💣Suspense

Stone is serving a life time sentence but everything isn't as it seems. Stone is a guy you will not want too mess with and all he wants is to get revenge on the people who are responsible for What they did to him.
Aria is a sassy journalist and is about to get the biggest career bump of her life. When she gets to finally interview Stone whom she has literally followed throughout it all. These two both end up on the run after a huge person break and they both go on a journey.

I loved the characters and the banter.
But I just felt this time I felt like this story was missing something and at times felt a little repetitive, I did feel like I was missing parts of the story between both the characters and I think that's why I couldn't connect with them fully.
But I absolutely love this author and her writing style is epic.

Only Sheridan Anne could make “oops, I accidentally broke a convicted felon out of prison” into one of the most entertaining romances I’ve listened to in ages.
This book is chaos with chemistry. Dark, gritty, suspenseful, and somehow laugh-out-loud funny at the same time. Once it starts moving, it does not let up. I picked it up and immediately lost all control over my schedule.

Stone Blackthorne is one giant walking red flag, but unfortunately I appear to be colour blind. Aria was a standout for me though. Her wit, snark, and refusal to be steamrolled made every scene sharper and funnier. Their banter was elite.

The audiobook narration by Brooke Daniels and Lee Samuels was exceptional. They elevated every chase scene, every tense moment, and every hilarious exchange.

A dark prison-break rom com that absolutely should be experienced with as little prior knowledge as possible. Just press play and enjoy the mayhem.

(Duet Narration Audiobook) Aria is a junior reporter who scores the story of a lifetime when she gets an interview with Stone, a man serving life in prison for the deaths of 6 people. He’s been notoriously quiet about why he did it and Aria is hoping to change that. A prison riot causes occurs and Stone takes Aria as a hostage and they end up on the run.

This book was interesting and took some turns I didn’t see coming. I liked that Aria wasn’t afraid to stand up to Stone, and her sassing him was too funny at times. I don’t want to give things away, but once some truths came to light Stone’s character went up in my book. The ending was hair raising and I had no idea how they were going to get out of things. Brooke Daniels and Lee Samuels did a great job with the narration as well. I enjoyed the book and would definitely read more by the author.

I loved this fun little gem from Sheridan Anne. It's a solid 4.5 stars. Aria is a hysterical, self assured woman who works as a junior journalist at Pulse Media. She spent years trying to secure an interview with notorious murderer Stone Blackthrone. She felt something was off with his trial and case and that feeling pushed her to figure out the truth for herself.

After meeting Stone hilarity ensues as they both take a wild journey that leads to lots of truths being set straight and a prison break.

Their banter and chemistry is off the charts and this book is on the frequently spicy side which I appreciate. Don't forget to check out the bonus content at the end, Oops! I'm a Menace again. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this.

A fun, silly read following perhaps the most toxic (to others) couple I've ever read. If you're chasing a quick and chaotic read as a palate cleanser, this might be the one.
I truly enjoyed the first part of the book with the prison sequence, even if the very large paragraphs and run-on sentences fought me along the way. Who doesn't love a prison break with a side of over-protective beast man? As the two of them uncovered old truths and made new memories, I could see how this could easily become a comfort read.
In saying that, my eyes glazed over a lot of pages when Aria's thoughts got stuck on some subjects. The pacing fell through on me because of that.
Otherwise, this was an amazing read. Nothing to take too seriously, just one to flip through.

Oops I did it Again

Sheridan Anne is the queen of dark romcom. And this new release is mind blowing and amazing!! Its dark, its nitty gritty, its explosive and the heat burns on page bright enough to light up even the darkest pits of hell. This book was a fast paced book and once you pick it up it won't be letting you go!

When Aria goes to interview prison inmate Stone she thinks its going to be an in and out with her getting the answers to the questions she demands. Stone looks at her with loathing and wants nothing more than to crush her. One chaotic jail break and one highly twisted backstory put these two running for their lives from multiple groups of people.

CACKLING

Oh my god. I have died and gone to Sheridan Anne heaven. Sheridan always has that little bit of dark humour sprinkled in with her characters witty banter, but to get to experience it in a full on dark rom com is something else completely. And I am all for it!

Mr Stone Bkackthorne is the biggest red flag, but it’s okay because we are al colour blind around here.

All you need to know is this is a dark prison break rom com, legitimately don’t want to say anything else, this NEEDS to be experienced without any prior information, it is such a good time, it will have you clutching your pearls and wetting yourself from laughter.

Hands down one of my top books of 2026

This book doesn’t flirt… it hunts.

Control is an illusion, and this story rips it apart piece by piece until all that’s left is raw need, reckless choices, and consequences that hit a little too good.

Lines get crossed. Rules get rewritten. And that slow, dangerous pull? Yeah… it’s not something you walk away from unscathed.

The tension is sharp. The power plays are intoxicating. And the kind of desire woven through these pages? It doesn’t ask nicely… it takes.

You won’t just read this one… you’ll feel it. And once you’re in? There’s no clean way out.
Consider this your warning… or your invitation

Ughhh I have read all of Sheridan Annes books and this one did not disappoint. Stone was rough around the edges but had this softness to him once he found out what really happened to Aria. Aria was lost in the world just trying to find a way to fit in. You could tell right after everything was revealed how devastated Stone was for the past and what might happen in the future. But he loved Aria so much and was she knew there past was so interconnected she was right there with him. The banter the chemistry all of it was amazing. Definitely did not expect the epilogue but man even that was awesome. Highly recommend.

you will not regret picking up this book!

Honestly I wasn’t sure what to think about this book when I saw the cover. But if you’ve ever read Obsession by Harleigh Beck it has similar vibes mixed with a lot John Wick action. The suspense was top tier giving me all the anxiety but there was plenty of comedy mixed in 😂
I enjoyed the book from start to finish and will definitely be reading more of her books. The writing was perfect and the story flowed seamlessly.

I absolutely adored this book. Which is crazy to say about an escaped mass murderer and his hostage, but it just gave me all the feels. I love Stone - he was the perfect man-minus the murdering. Even if it was for all the right reasons. I also love how spicy Aria is! They are so perfect together!

Even the bonus content was perfect but I still need more… I need to know all the details and do they stay in their HEA bubble forever?

Another amazing read by Sheridan. Oops is full of suspense, thrill, angst, mystery, spice and witty humor. I loved Stone, the mystery behind his imprisonment, his back story, his alpha male, ultra protective personality. And Aria finally gets her big break in her career only for things to go south fast! But do they really... I loved everything about this book. It's a must read!

The audiobook was perfect! Great plot, great narrators, and a great ending. The storyline had me hooked the entire time wondering how it was going to end because how does Stone possibly get out of the predicament he’s in. But I was pleasantly surprised with the ending. Definitely recommend purchasing the audiobook, makes the experience better!

I’m usually a big hype girl for Sheridan Anne but this book missed the mark for me. I didn’t find myself eager to finish it which isn’t a great sign.

I enjoyed the premise of the book and most of it was good but I just didn’t feel invested in either character. Still worth a read but not overly memorable.
