What an interesting read! This story follows Alex through a dystopian, tech-dominated society where AI takes over, and those who don't comply become a threat. Alex resists change, which get him into big trouble resulting in his capture/containment. I loved the chaos that insued from the beginning of this book all the way through the end. If you love science, science fiction, psychology, technology, and anything nerdy, you will love this book!

Way too relevant.

Technology created to improve our lives but takes over??? HELLO! I liked the concept about humans naturally rejecting because life always wins.

The AI/creativity really stood out to me. People actually need to be playing a game where they have to identify AI vs real stuff because plenty of people are losing the damn plot. Its a mess out here I tell you.

I liked the plot itself was interesting af but i do wish the formatting was a little better, with like the flashbacks and differentiating between EIE (maybe use computer font? idk lol). I wasn't really connecting with the characters either, but idk if this was a very character driven story. They felt more like a way to drive the story along. I definitely was into the plot more than like emotionally attached to them. I did like Alex tho, he was cool.

BUT this was good af overall and the ending written in binary was a nice little touch. I love ITs lol.

In a time when when AI is creeping its way into our lives (whether we like it or not) this story feels a little too much like a prediction of our future.

Great fiction will question what we're doing and why we make the choices we make. There's a bleak nature to this book. How easy it would be for humans to give up their privacy and freedom for something new and shiny.

Resist the takeover.
