Here we have the story of Alexander's brother, Andrew and Hannah sister, Susana.

I was expecting a book similar to Hannah and the Highlander, but insead I found both the hero and the heroine annoying, at least in the first part of the book.

If you want to know why, read the spoiler, but be warned, they're big, big spoilers!!!

The second half was wayyy better, when the misunderstanding is out in the open and the MCs start forgiving each other and forging a new relationship! Even Isobel is much more manageable and starts to be a nice child.

I'm looking forward to Lana and Lachlan's story! :)

NetGalley for an honest review.

Susana and Andrew are about to have their second chance at love. They had met six years ago and began to fall in love but jealousy seeps in from another source and crushes their romance.

Susana is now a widow with a strong, beautiful, five year old daughter that keeps her very busy. She and her Father are found not safe at their castle as strange happenings are taking place around the neighboring lands. Susana's sister Hannah has recently married, so Susana's brother-in-law sends help via his brother Andrew. Yes, they are now family through marriage and don't even know it. This becomes very interesting from this point on.

The story takes off and boy is it a great read. Andrew doesn't really remember Susana but senses that he should and is strongly attracted to her. Susana does all she can to keep her secret, several secrets in fact. The build up of their relationship and sexual tension has you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. The plot is well written with great pacing and some great moments from Susana's little girl. Loved her.

Very enjoyable read and highly anticipating the next book.

2.5-ish stars

This was alright, but nothing earth shattering or spectacular. I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if there had been some semblance of a real plot going on and had featured characters with more depth; it was all a bit too basic for my tastes. And the romance between Susana and Andrew felt like insta-lust rather than actual love Another thing that bugged me was that it's only been six years since they parted, yet Andrew doesn't recognize Susana at all. Did she change that much or was Andrew just an idiot? I don't know.

Despite all that, it was still a fun read, with little Isobel being the ultimate scene stealer even though she was the most un-five five year old ever. I did end up liking the book well enough to want to read Susana’s sisters’ books, especially Lana’s.

I liked it better than the first one. Although I didn't love a few things...it wasn't anything major.
Be aware this is a second chance romance. There is a 6-year gap.

I'm looking forward to the next book with Lana.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this before the release date.

Happier than Happily Ever After Review of the Advanced Copy
After having read Hannah and the Highlander I was looking forward to the next book in the series – Susana and the Scot. Let me say I was NOT disappointed. This book was excellent. Following the wedding of Hannah Dounreay to Alexander Lochlannach, Hannah’s father and sister Susana are still not safe. Alexander sends his brother Andrew along with some to protect them and the castle.
When Andrew and Susana first meet there is something familiar there. They had met before, 6years ago – about 9 months before Susana’s daughter Isobel was born (hmmmm). Although Susana recognizes him, Andrew doesn’t recognize her as the young girl Mairi, his one lost love.
Fighting raises the passions of both of these hot-headed Scots and before long the passion turns to desire. In the meantime, everyone except Andrew can see that Isobel is the spitting image of her father. When strangers attempt to kidnap Isobel the entire castle springs into action but the little girl manages to get herself and Andrew’s friend Hamish out of reach of the kidnappers.
This story has a Happier than Happily Ever After with Alexander and Hannah returning to Dounreay with news of an upcoming happy event to find Andrew, Susana and Isobel planning to become a real family (even if he has to kidnap Susana to get her to marry him). It also sets up the next book in the series when it hints at feelings passing between the third sister Lana and the Duke of Caithness. I can’t wait for the 3rd book in this series.
If you read Hannah and the Highlander, you will love this book. If you haven’t read it, this books is able to be read on its own without losing anything in the story.

If you're in the market for a ridiculous read, with a sappy and completely unrealistic ending, this one's for you.

There are many, many issues with Susana and the Scot, but the real deal-breakers for me are:

1. By my math, Susana and Andrew met when she was somewhere in the ballpark of 15. After their misunderstanding, she rushes home to get married to a docile man with whom she never has sexual relations. A miracle baby, who looks just like Andrew is born. Fast forward five years... When it's obvious to anyone who has eyes that Isobel is Andrew's daughter, not a single person is upset about any of this. Not her father. Not her sisters. Forget the fact this would never fly in 1813 Scotland; modern fathers would shit a brick!

2. The story is predictable. It's pretty obvious from the beginning that Isobel is going to be at the center of everything, from kidnapping attempts, to rescuing grown-ass men. She's five.

3. While I'm not typically put off when the writing style isn't true to the genre, it's downright distracting I this book. Isobel calls Andrew's hair "stupid". When she forgets her bow by the loch, he tells her "no worries". Attempts at capturing the Scottish accent are inconsistent, "fook" making an appearance, and then "fuck" a few pages later.

4. Andrew, a man who made a wager to kiss 100 women with the hope of finding true love, hasn't had sex with a single woman since his beautiful 15 year old love tragically died six years previous. I'm not buying it....

5. The characters are on the unlikeable side. Susana is overbearing, her father is weak, Isobel is annoying, Andrew is sappy. Bah!

I'd say this one's a skip. I won't be wasting my time on the last book in the series.

This was my first read of 2016, and it was a disappointment .
i enjoyed the first book, it was a nice fum romance with the sexy scot in it, but this was lacking in so much.
The story started off slow. There was no background for the character that I could feel satisfied with after reading, it had so many lose ends.
Susana was just an annoying, loud and very obnoxious. I personally do not like women in stories who hide the child from the father for no apparent reason then that he broke your heart long time ago.She just kept on complaining about everything. There was not a single thing that she was happy with. The worst trait that she had was she seemed yo have no maternal instinct. I could not see her connected to her daughter, to me everything she said were just words with no feelings, may be its how the author writes.
The hero , the scot Andrew ...ahhh. He was so stupid, that is the nicest word I can come up with. I mean you claim to love a girl you meet six years ago and that you have been mourning for her after you were told she is dead.BUT YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE HER WHEN YOU SEE HER ?WHAT? It was not as if they knew each other when they were six years old.How much could a woman have changed in six years. Then the whole world figures out that the kid is your but the only ignorant is you. Did not like him at all.
The little Isabella, Isobela can't remember the name was not cute. She was not a fun charming kid, she was a brat. Too smart for her own good, more then what was needed or that could have made the girl likable. At times she was thinking and saying things that just did not suit her for a five year old even if she is intelligent.
The story itself lacked any kind of plot, it had no middle, no end. SO many things left unsaid .
If someone likes to read a lot of hot love making scene with just a dash of story this is it. But there was no sweet romance or anything historical about it.
I want to read the next book only because of the curse element it has lets see what the story hold.

Sabrina York is brilliant!

After discovering the first book in this seriesHannah and the Highlander i was hooked and forced to impatiently await the release of Susana and the Scot.

Reading this book in only two days around work i cannot sing enough praise. Sabrina has a skill of developing independent, strong, and willful characters that capture both your interest and your heart. In this story each and every character is developed with a cleverness and skill that both leaves you smiling and wanting more.. hoping perhaps there will be a future story for each character.

Both Andrew and Susana the main characters in this story exude powerful emotion and strength which causes their stubborn personalities, willpower, as well as the unavoidable entwining of their hearts. Their love was instantaneous and lasted what could be considered a life time believing both were lost to each other, yet both are stricken with the power of a love that never dies... Past secrets and words unsaid threaten to tear Andrew and Susana apart. While plots, delightful humor, and constant intrigue keep you on the edge of your seat. It is safe to say i thoroughly look forward to the release of [book:Lana and the Laird|26114461

What a great, fun read. I very much enjoyed this story. At times it was a bit of a stretch to believe

Isobel was such a delightful child, if a bit precocious. Not to mention, utterly unbelievable that she was capable of half the things she did in the book. Nevertheless, I loved her character and she was such a delight.

In the beginning, Susana annoyed me some but it didn't last long. After she started to warm up to Andrew the story definitely improved.

This is a light hearted, laugh out loud historical romance. No angst, no stress, just a good old fashioned fun romance.

Oh and for those that want to know

It has been a while since I read the other books in this series and I forgot how much I love the authour’s writing style! Susana and Andrew are at odds from the moment they meet, and this is with good reason on her part. As things develop, as the story unfolds, you can’t help but feel for these two and all they’ve been through. Isobel provides a lot of relief so things don’t get heavy, with Hamish as another great foil. Enjoyed the story, the characters, and the setting!

More like 2.5*. It had some funny parts, but the plot was weak. They really should've realized who the traitor was from the very beginning. But the thing that really got me was how could the H not recognize her? It was only 6 years! It just didn't make sense and was hard for me to accept. I also thought Isobel was a bit too bratty. She was only 5 so her behavior and antics were a bit much at times.

So I loved the setting, the humor and the secondary characters but the MCs were just "okay" for me.

I just never really connected with Susana, at first impression, she was pretty bad ass, chasing a cattle thief, riding like the devil and shooting arrows like a highland warrior princess. She didn't take any crap from Andrew, stood her ground and I was happy we had an h with a backbone.

 photo 200w_zpsvg0xfrwo.gif

BUT . . .

Than we find out that she isn't this strong independent woman at all! She tries to push Andrew away (for like two chapters!) but that never really lasts. Its all dreamy sighs, heated panting and insta-lust with these two.

Andrew was kind of a cocky jerk in the beginning and I was a bit disappointed with the whole Mairi thing

These two were so blind and so in denial it got kind of sad, especially since Susana's dad, Andrew's buddy Hammish and even 5 year old Isobel figured everything out before these two did.

 photo Really Dude_zpsswgfvekl.gif

There were likable aspects to this story but not enough to make this more than a passable read. I did like that Andrew wasn't such a manwhore as he first appears. I liked that he didn't drag out or create unnecessary drama once everything was revealed. And that towards the end, once they decided to be together, the MCs were a lot more likable. Overall it was an okay read. I was still book high from reading Never Seduce a Scot so that might have factored into my rating/enjoyment of this one. Might have to re-read, maybe . . . someday . . .

It looks like I am going to have to add Sabrina York to my auto-buy list, because I am loving this Untamed Highlanders series. Both books were happy reads and put me in a good mood. I made the mistake of starting Susana and the Scot in the evening, and ended up reading it straight through until almost 3am. I was despairing a little toward the end as the battery in my tablet was dying and a storm had knocked out the power in my house!

So this is a second chance romance between our hero, Andrew Lochlannach (brother to Alexander from Hannah and the Highlander) and Susana Dounreay (sister to Hannah). Andrew has been sent to Dounreay by Alexander to shore up the defenses against encroachers and protect Hannah's family. Unfortunately, his first foray into Dounreay involves a tumultuous and humorous run in with Susana, who is shocked to see him. Also unfortunately, Andrew does not remember Susana or that he had previously seduced her. You can imagine how this is going to cause him problems while living in such close quarters with her and her family.

Andrew is a likable hero - he has been pining away for his lost love (Mairi) for the past six years, whom he believes passed away in a carriage accident. In an effort to find "that feeling" again, Andrew has kissed 99 women and now has vowed that he is done with females, believing that he will never have "that feeling" again. Until he encounters the firebrand, Susana. I also really liked Susana, the warrior princess. She was atypical for the time period, a female capable with a bow, taking on the castle defenses and other jobs typically handled by men. She was a loving mother to her daughter, for all that she failed to discipline her. I was drawn into her hurt and aggravation at Andrew, thinking that he had betrayed her. It was lovely to see them find their way back to one another, though I do wish it would have been explained why she was known as Mairi when in Perth.

While Susana and Andrew were at war with one another, for reasons unknown to him, they are forced to work together to uncover the threat against Dounreay lands. I enjoyed every aspect of this story - both the romance angle and the mystery/suspense. But my absolute favorite part of this story was Susanna's daughter, Isobel. She was a termagant! But she was also clever, precocious and absolutely adorable and hilarious. I am not usually one for kids - but I fell in love with little Isobel.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. 4.5 stars / 3 flames.

This is book two in the "Untamed Highlander" series. I will warn you that this series is very additive. I just like the last book (Hannah and the Highlander) it leaves me eager for the next book! I truly loved book books and just can't get enough of Ms. York's writing! I feel they are standalone books but I truly think you would enjoy reading the whole series! But enough about my love of these books let me set the story up... Our heroine is about Susana who is the second daughter of Magnus Dounreay. Susana is also a widower with a child to raise. Along with all of that Susana see to the running and protection of their home. They are having some trouble and unknown to Susana her father has asked his new son-in-law to send more men to help. When the men arrive one is Andrew Lochlannach who is Susana brother-in-law but more importantly is a man from her past. They met six years ago when they both were away from home and visiting another family. They both fell in love but a girl that was jealous of their budding romance Trick them into believing some lies that pulled them apart. Now six years later here he is on her homeland and she find he does not recognizer her so that does set her off some. Andrew thinks that his lost love is dead and because both did not use there full names at the time the first met Andrew still believed her to be dead. This starts this wonderful story of how over came a lot of lies, hurt feelings and what it took for them to be together. I hope that you will like this book too!

No one tells a tale like Ms. York. She has mastered the historical romance genre. This is book two in the Untamed Highlanders series and it follows Andrew as he is sent on a mission by his brother (Alexander) to provide security and protection to Dounreay Castle. Once he arrives, he meets Susana. She greets him with nothing but hostility wants nothing to do with him. Susana acts nothing like a proper lady and does everything possible to undermine Andrew and his mission.

Andrew is intrigued by Susana and can't escape the idea that she reminds him of his first love that still haunts him. Susana is hiding a secret that she will keep from him at almost any cost. What follows is a phenomenal historical romance that kept me turning pages as quickly as possible. The author has created a story that makes you feel as you are immersed in their world and following along with the characters as their tale unfolds.

While Susana and the Scot is book 2 in a series, it is a stand alone novel. You will lose nothing by reading them out of order, however it is so good that you will want to read book 1 (Hannah and the Highlander) as well.

This is a must read for fans of the genre and I would highly recommend it for all romance fans.

Magnificent! Incredible! Remarkable! Brilliant! Sabrina York does it again with another breath taking, rare, can't put this book down kind of read! Another masterpiece in my opinion! This is the second book in Ms. York's wonderful, "Untamed Highlanders" best selling series and as in the first book of this Untamed Highlanders series, Hannah and the Highlander. Susana and the Scot, # 2 is the story about the heroine, Susana Dounreay, who is Hannah's sister. We met the hero of this story in the first book too, Andrew Lochlannach, who is Hannah's husband Alexander's younger brother. As readers will see Andrew is a bit of a scoundrel and rogue, at least that's what he seems to want people to think though inside he has had been in mourning and broken hearted. This is also a second chance romance as Susana is Mairi, who is the love of Andrews life, but thinks is deceased and doesn't seem to recognize her though he sees the similarities in appearances. So many unanswered questions that you must read this amazing and spectacular book to find the answers!

July 1813
Caithness Shire, Scotland

It starts of when Andrew is caught trying to seduce Hannah's sister Lana, due to a bet with his best friend Hammish's 100 kiss bet. His brother Alexander Lochlannach, the Laird of Dunnet, then exiles him as Hannah, Lana and Susana's Laird father has been nearly murdered through poisoning by people who they had trusted and welcomed and employed for the Dounreay family. A traitor or a spy planted in the safety of their family home and lands is so disheartening as well frightening, now Susanna trusts meanly no one and has her guard up every second of the day. Now thieves are raiding and trying to destroy thier lands so Andrew and his men are sent to keep the people, livestock and lands safe. This is when he first spots the archer lad that he soon finds out is Susana, but feels something familiar about her though he can't exactly figure out why. He sees the similarities between his past love Mairi but sees the differences too. Still he can't pinpoint exactly shy see seems so familiar to him.

Andrew hasn't felt any stirrings towards a woman in over six year since the love of his life Mairi died until Susana and is determined to have her. Susana is furious the the man she once loved that doesn't even remember her! She is determined to get this rogue off her lands! Nor does she want him to get glimpse of her daughter, cough she did give birth nine after meeting him... just a wee hint who the father might be! Plus until now she had not realized her new brother-in-law is the brother of Andrew! Susana who convinced Hannah to marry Alexander feels more then a little guilty over this as she hasn't seen her sister since the wedding. Has she realized they were brothers she never would of done that and does not realize Hannah is happy and very much in love with Alexander.

The daughter Isobel is a definite scene stealer in this book! Funny everyone can see who she looks like except the father himself which I found hilarious! You can feel the emotions of these two main characters right from the start and so much misunderstanding too but all in all it made this an exceptional fun read. Again fast moving plots full of adventure, mystery, mayhem, abduction, deceit, betrayal, and of course romance set in a beautiful Scottish highland setting! Another Sabrina York book I simply could not put down I can't wait for Lana's story which will be the next book in this spectacular series that I have totally enjoyed immensely. I highly recommend you read Susana and the Scot by Sabrina York it is definitely one you don't want to miss, you can read this as a stand alone or in book order which is the readers choice. I recommend you read them both just because they are both fabulous and fun brilliant!

Another brilliant blew me away read by the best selling multi talented author Sabrina York who is so gifted and so glad she is writing Scottish Historical's now! I sure hope she continues writing these fabulous Scottish historical romance stories stays with this this genre for a long long time! Absolutely look forward to more books by the sensational Sabrina York!

Susana and the Scot is the second of 2 books in Sabrina York's Untamed Highlander's Series. It is really good if you read the first book in the series Hannah and the Highlander first, as the characters all carry over from this first book into Susana and the Scot. Hannah and the Highlander was an incredible read, so you will have no problem reading it first, and I am glad that I did!

Susana is a widowed young woman and the second of 3 girls in the Dounreay family, and she is probably the hardest of all to control! She has a 5 year old daughter who is literally a hellion but anyone who would ever be dumb enough to say this would get an arrow in the "arse", as Susana's aim was true. Even her little daughter has a terrific aim and a little bow made especially for her. Susana has had many suitors come offer for her hand and she has sent every single one of them away, with a well placed arrow! However I might add Little Isobel in this book really likes Andrew!

Magnus Dounreay is the Laird of Dounreay Castle in Rea, and he has 3 beautiful, stubborn, pig headed daughters, who at times have caused him quite a problem. They are all different yet alike in many ways. Hannah was finally married to Alexnder Lochlannach, or as he is called Dunnet. He owns the neighboring Lands and with his marriage to Hannah, the Dounreay Lands are now his as well. After Hannah left all kinds of things started happening, so her father sent word to Alexander who sends his brother Andrew to take care of the problems after an attempt is made on Magnus's life. Hannah wants to go but he feels it is better if he sends his brother and some troops to look into the matter and guard the land. So Hannah remains at her new home.

Unbelievable but true Susana and Andrew have met before, when Susana went to an estate for a ball for the girls coming out, and she was enamored of Andrew right away, and he was of her also, and they got together until one of Susana's friends wanted him also and staged it to look like Andrew was with her, so Susana, heartbroken went straight home. Andrew feels she is familiar but she has a different name than that girl he loved and lost all those years ago. Susana recognizes him right away! He is going to find out a big secret if she does not do something to send him away-fast! Let the games begin!! Now Susan steps up her campaign to send them back home, doing things like making them stay in the stinky dog kennels instead of a room in the castle: there are over 25 men, and they all have been reduced to having to go to the bathroom outside! For some reason Susana's father recognizes certain things right away and he puts a stop to most of the problems but Susana takes one look at her father and she KNOWS her Dad knows her secret!

This book is so good, has a great plot, some of the situations the characters find themselves in and some of the dialog had me laughing out loud, and I did not want to finish it, it was that good!

Will Andrew find out who Susana is?
Will he figure out what her secret is?
Will there be a good outcome to securing the lands?
Will they find out who the spy was that was giving the secrets of Dounreay Castle away?
What happens when Hannah shows up at the castle, and sees the little girl, Isobel, who Susana has been trying to keep away from Andrew and her father?

Take a chance and read this book and see how it all ends and it will leave you with a book hangover, but also a good feeling inn your heart.

I gave this book 5***** well deserved stars and I really liked this series and feel this is some of Sabrina York's finest work to date, and I just wish for one more book to find out what happens with Susana and Hannah's sister, Lana!

She is at it again, my fellow Scottish romance book-loving friends. This reviewer is not sure why Sabrina York crossed over from writing contemporary to this genre, but I am verra, verra glad she did. Having absolutely loved Book 1 of this series, it is no surprise Book 2, Susana and the Scot, was equally amazing. Thank you, St. Martin’s Press, for the honor and privilege of receiving an ARC in exchange for this honest, unbiased opinion.

Susana….Susana….You are everything a Scottish lass should be: strong, feisty, beautiful, great with a bow, and protective of those you love. Especially your precocious five year old daughter, Isobel. Unfortunately, you had to learn to be protective of your heart, as well. Having it broken by Andrew six years ago then his unexpected return in your life has left you scrambling to keep up those defenses. But it is pointless, my dear, for he is your destiny.

Andrew, my handsome Scottish hero, you really have been misunderstood all these years, haven’t you? Everyone thinks you are just a rogue who is always trying to kiss the lasses, but you carry a deep secret. Your prayers are about to be answered though. When you walked off into the sunset alone in Book 1, I knew we weren’t done with you. Still mourning the loss of your one true love, you will find it all again…and so much more!

Hamish, you had better not go anywhere. I’ve got my eye on you and am keeping my fingers crossed Ms. York will give us your HEA in Book 4. As it is, I am already anxiously awaiting Book 3, Lana and the Laird. Looks like you have eyes for Lana though, so you will have a rocky road ahead. I’m pretty sure Lachlan already has a lock on that bonny lass’s heart.

Though this is a stand-alone, you should do yourself a favor and read Book 1 first. Ms. York writing style is so engaging, flows well, and you will enjoy this storyline/characters more by doing so. Besides you really don’t want to miss out on each couple’s passionate, romantic journey to their happily ever after.

Title: Susana and the Scot, Series: Untamed Highlanders (Book 2) , Author: Sabrina York, stand-alone, HEA, no cheating, no love triangle, steamy scenes, second chance romance, strong, feisty heroine.

** I received an eARC of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review**

A very enjoyable read - not quite as good as the first book, but still very good. I would say it was a 4.5 star book.

This a second chance love story. Susana and Andrew met years ago and fell in love. However, they are separated and each believes the lies they were told about the other. Susana believes that Andrew was a faithless scoundrel and Andrew believes that his love was killed.

Six years pass before they meet again and when they do sparks fly. Andrew doesn't realize that Susana is his lost love and Susana doesn't trust Andrew at all. These two have such chemistry and passion. But they both try to deny it. They bicker almost non stop and Susana tries her very best to make Andrew want to leave.

When they finally give into their mutual attraction - it was HOT. They are really good together. Really good. They learn to work together, but still haven't faced the past.

Personally, I found myself being more upset with Susana than I was with Andrew. One secret she kept in particular was very wrong to keep from him.

They seem like they are headed to a happily ever after when BAM! Disaster strikes and Susana once again begins to doubt Andrew.

Only when faced with the possibility of losing Andrew forever does Susana finally regret keeping her secret - for me this was too little too late.

I did like a good portion of the book, I thought the writing was well done and paced well. The love scenes were steamy. The secondary characters were all excellent and added a lot to the story without overshadowing the hero and heroine.

I would definitely recommend this book and am really looking forward to Lana's story.

Such passion, conflict, desire and humor all packed into one book! I adore second chance romance and this story by Sabrina is a great one. Susana the warrior lass has closed off her heart to love because it was crushed in her youth. Alexander, the younger brother, is off to protect his elder brother's new holldings from raiders in an attempt to pay back the debt he feels he owes his brother for protecting him from their abusive uncle. The passion between these two is off the charts and as the story unfolds they finally find they were both lied to in the past and can once again find love together. The character that steals the book though is daughter Isobel, the 5 year old hellion. She creates the best scenes in the book and this quote really sums her up spoken by Alexander's best friend Hamish when Isobel rescues him..."Are you certain you're a child?" The rescue of Hamish is truly one of the most awesome scenes I have ever read. I still laugh over it. I can't wait to get my hands on Lana's book next!

A wonderfully unexpected second chance romance, between two people who had no clue they would be connect to each other for life (through the marriage of their siblings). I love that they were both clueless that their new in-law, was their long lost love from young adulthood. Of course, this leads to tension and suspense, while they try to figure out who is trying to attack Susana's home.

Susana is such a strong character, her heart was broken but she did not give up on life. I love how she worked to make challenge Andrew mission and control. Definitely moments that you laugh at the situations they get themselves into.

I love that everyone else figured out their connection before Andrew did. How he could not see that Isobel was his child is hilarious. What a feisty young miss, I hope we see more of her in this series.

Gotta say, I can't wait to read Lana and Lachlan's love story. I have a feeling she is going to bring him to his knees.

Thanks Netgalley for the free review copy in exchange for an honest review.

From story of book one, Susana and the Scot opens up on the arrival of Andrew to his destination. Fate as they say, is B****.

I love this book due to the fact that the kid in this book was so adventurous! And the way she talks, to the way she "licks" ~yup she does! ~ in the series was so funny! But then again, Isobel, is not the only reason, she was the best part though.

Now, the funniest part was playing footsie. I totally lost it, i laughed so hard when I read that part and as i write this down, i can clearly imagine the face of Laird Dounreay on that event! It was epic!

Aside for that, the twist, and how each of the matter was laid out was wonderfully written. There was no words on how i will describe this book. The love scene was so steamy i had to fan myself. And the revelation was just to uplifting. There were no anger, but an acceptance that made the book so heart warming.

However, there is the matter of the Duke of Caithness that needs to be resolved, and what will happen next?

Great book!

Sabrina York's newest release, Susana and the Scot is an amazing read. This gem of a book was a pleasure to read. Susana and Andrew's story has such lovable characters, even that imp Isobel, that I was sorry the story ended. Susana and the Scot is a fast paced read with plenty of action and suspense, drama and sizzle, along with Sabrina York's own brand of humor in just the perfect amounts to make this book into the great read it is. Ms York has given me many hours of entertainment with her well written books and this book is only more proof that she has earned her spot as one of my favorite wordsmiths. I look forward to reading more from Sabrina in the future. Susana and the Scot is book 2 of the Untamed Highlanders Series, but it can be read as a stand alone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley for review purposes.

I loved everything about this book. It had a great story line, second chance love, tears and laughter and good suspense. The characters had depth and strength and great banter. Andrew Lochlannach and Susana Dounreay are well suited and stubborn. Susana's five year old daughter Isobel is a little hoyden and I'm totally in love with her and I hope Sabrina York writes her book in the future. I also would love for Hamish to find his HEA.

*Won an ARC copy*

I did not want this story to end and attempted to read it S L O W L Y so as to enjoy every minute!

Susana and the Scot is the second installment to Sabrina York's Untamed Highlanders series, and like all of Sabrina's stories, you will be taken on a grand adventure full of mystery, laughter, and love. She has a way of spinning a tale that will suck you into the book, and you will never want to leave. My fav character in this story was Susana's 5 year old daughter Isobel. Oh what mischief she gets herself into, and I hope to read a story in the future with her all grown up! You can't go wrong reading one of Ms. York's books, and I highly recommend this series! Now I must wait for Lana's story...and patience is not one of my virtues!

I loved these three, and it truly is a romance and courting of a family coming together. Andrew is the last (actual last) person to realize that Susana is the Mairi from Perth, and Isobel bears him a striking resemblance. Everyone allows them the time to dance about their feelings and the white-hot attraction, and it isn’t until Isobel is captured with Hamish that the bond between them becomes visible to them all. And who’s clever idea was it to hide munitions, papers and flame starters in a solar, and leave little Isobel there on her own? Again, people of the day (as was the norm) dismiss females as witless mice, unable or too cowed by fear to act decisively.
