This book broke my soul and then somehow put it back together again.

Tegan was damaged by a past trauma but she worked at getting better and was so strong even though she didn't believe that. Dancing is her life and it was ripped from her after an attack at her studio left her scared to be there again. She thinks she can handle it on her own until Talon comes along and shows her that she needs help and that it's okay to reach out for someone else.

I really liked this story. Tegan had a lot to get past and I loved seeing how patient Talon was and understanding about her situation. He didn't push her and kind of just stood back and let her heal on her own, knowing that's what she needed.

Books that deal with past trauma are iffy for me because most times the hero/heroine ends up getting over their issues super fast and only because they met their one true love. This was not that, though. Talon and Tegan worked so hard to move forward and let the past though and they had real struggles. The story was realistic in dealing with trauma's so I really enjoyed it.

Overall, it was a sweet story with a dark side. My heart was breaking while reading what Tegan was going through and the mental state she was in. Reading about Talon being there for her and helping her realize her strength added the romance and made it even better.

Graceful Scars by Savannah Stewart
Review by Casey L. Bond

*I received a complimentary copy of Graceful Scars in exchange for an honest review. This is that review. I hope you enjoy! 

Cover: Amazing. It’s perfect and sweet and sexy all rolled up into one amazing cover.

Characters: The main characters, Tegan and Talon (does it get any hotter than a guy named Talon?) are amazing. Tegan is trying to face her fears, work through them and generally does a crappy job at it until Talon comes along and shows that not only will he stand beside her, he’ll be there for her. The supporting cast is sweet, too. But those two sizzle.

Plot: It was fun at times, sad at others, but appropriately so. I really enjoyed the story and it’s a wonderful contemporary romance.

Overall: I’d highly recommend the book. Five stars.

Graceful Scars was a wonderful read with a wonderful message. Tegan Carter is the owner of a dance studio where she teaches dance. After a traumatic event leaves her broken and “scared” she knows she needs to try to find her way back to the woman she was through dance and teaching.

When Talon Fisher stumbles into Tegan’s life with his spirited little sister, things start to finally look up for Tegan. The friendships that we see grow between Tegan and Zoey is amazing, you can really feel how much teaching and being there for Zoey helps Tegan heal. And, let’s not forget about Talon. He is simply amazing, I don’t think there was one thing I didn’t like about Talon, he was caring and understanding and I think that is just what Tegan needed in a friend. This emotional book will keep you intrigued in the lives of Tegan, Talon and Zoey and have you rooting for a happy ending for them all.

Note to self...do not leave books on your to read shelf long enough to build any anticipation about them. So this one has been on my shelf about the same amount of time as my last read. As a former dancer I adore any books with dance from classical ballet all the way down to stripping, the cover is lovely, and the alliteration of the authors name made me happy. Like my last read this one was a huge disappointment. Unlike my last read I have plenty of time to abandon it and start something new. So this was a DNF. We open with an exam of the h. She's been attacked, presumably raped since its a pelvic. Only problem with this scene? She's already showered. Now I would NEVER presume to tell a victim of violence how to act if you want to shower shower. However it renders such an exam pointless as all forensic evidence has now gone down the drain (literally). The first chapter is mostly just random thoughts of the h...no real description of what happened to her. The second chapter opens 9 months later. h is returning to her dance studio, where we eventually find out is where the attack happened. She's dancing, largely without descriptors that I enjoy as a dancer, when suddenly there's a french term. I'm not familiar with all ballet terms so i looked this one up and its a type of leap. Only problem? The author says she "holds" it....you dont really hold a leap as gravity does its work to bring you back down to earth. Anywho she's doing her thing and suddenly theres a male hand on her. Understandably she freaks and he ends up bruised. Enter H, who apparently is in charge of his little sister. I guess maybe thats explained further along than I got but thats really one of those things that should go right in front so i dont have to spend a ton of time wondering why. So H's sister is now taking dance classes at the studio and at the end everyone goes for ice cream, except on the way out H grabs h's arm and once again she is not really comfortable with it. All this is fineish so i'm set to continue but things start unraveling there for me. First, and this isn't the author's fault presumably but it was still a pain: i was reading this on the kindle app which i have set to a sepia colored screen because plain white hurts my eyes, all of a sudden the background was still sepia but all the text was like highlighted in white for a good 5% of the book (i flipped ahead). If I'd really been enjoying this i would've powered through but it definitely detracted from the ease of reading. Second, the h starts getting all lusty over the H. Once again I'm not gonna tell a victim how to feel and i get that this is a romancy book but that's utterly unrealistic. I've never met any rape victim, who still has panic attacks and collapses when any man touches her, getting the hots over more or less a total stranger. At this point the book is starting to lose me so I started noticing that the writing felt very cold. It was technically very good but it felt closer to term paper sometimes than fiction writing, especially the dialogue between the characters it felt very stiff. My final straw though, where the book really lost me was around 12%. h stays late, remembers some part of the attack (only some tidbits about the person still not really the full attack) and understandably has a very serious panic attack. Her best friend and H come running in (pretty obvious plot device since he had no real reason to come along) and shes collapsed on the floor barely able to breathe through the panic. So now the H has ended up with a black eye from touching her unexpectedly, she brushed him off when he touched her arm before ice cream, AND he's seen her collapsed in the middle of a hardcore panic attack. So he...kisses her?! what the actual fuck. It wasn't a passionate kiss I'll admit but common sense would tell anyone that this woman is going through some shit and does not want/need to be touched especially by a man she barely knows (only a month at this point in the book and no real depth as to how often the see each other/talk). So what kind of man looks at that and does anything but leave her the fuck alone unless she wants otherwise? not my kind of hero thats for sure. The proper thing to do is have them be friends and graduate to more when SHE'S ready, not to have him put his hands and lips on her in any kind of damn way when she very clearly is not ready for it.

Bottom line: there was no way i was going to ever respect the H for that scene and the writing wasn't doing anything for me so this was a DNF

4.5 Stars! - Graceful Scars is probably the perfect name for this book. The journey Savannah Stewart will take you on is hard and it hurts. It’s riddled with heartache and overflowing with emotion. Both Tegan and Talon have been through more in their short lives than anyone should in a lifetime and when life throws these two together they find a kindred soul in one another. I fell in love with Tegan and Talon and the way they made each other light up from the inside out. Savannah Stewart captures the special spark between them and ignites it across the pages of this book. Graceful Scars is a beautiful story of finding love and finding yourself while learning to let go of the way you think things should be to allow them to be what they’re meant to.

Tegan spoke to me. From her very first breakdown, I could feel the depth of her pain and the fear she carried inside her. Savannah Stewart didn’t sugarcoat her experiences or magically heal her by finding love. Tegan struggled and she clawed her way up only to fall right back down. It was raw and real and heart wrenching but along the way Savannah nurtured this character, allowing her to grow into her own the hard way, learning to adapt and overcome her demons at a painfully slow and entirely genuine pace. Talon is an anomaly. Hot, sweet, successful, and amazing with his little sister, he grew up far too fast. His understanding, patience, and unwillingness to lose anyone else from his life made him the perfect match for the beautifully broken Teagan. Zoey was a wonderful addition to this story, providing levity and light where it was needed.

It was obvious from the start that this story was going to have moments of darkness, but I was impressed by the way Savannah Stewart handled them. She didn’t downplay the significance of all that had happened to Tegan and she shared the emotional and physical pain of life after trauma with sincerity and grace. Even in moments of happiness, Tegan’s reality was allowed to seep in and that gave this story an authenticity that anyone who has ever felt that kind of pain can relate to. Each little twist and turn in the storyline brought Tegan and Talon to right where they needed to be and while their journey was anything but easy, it was unquestionably beautiful. I will definitely be on the lookout for more from Savannah Stewart.

Graceful Scars by Savannah Stewart is an emotionally charged book that pulled at my heart and had me with tears in my eyes from the beginning. Stewart takes a difficult subject, a terrifying situation and work through it with such grace and respect to the victim.

Tegan is an owner of a successful dance studio, she loves dance and has dreams of even being something more. That is until it is all ripped away. This makes her leave all of her dreams and everything she has knows behind. She closes everything off, and completely shuts down- for nine months!

I want to mention Tegan's best friend before I get to Talon. Adalynn is a great best friend, she has been there for Tegan from day one. This is the sign of a true friend, they do not leave you when the chips are down. Adalynn also gives her tough love. She clearly loves Tegan like she is her sister and treats as such. We all needs friends like Adalynn in our lives.

Talon Has just moved to town and he has custody of his little sister. He walks in the studio her first day back and fate plays a little part in their lives. Tegan struggles with deep emotional issues and Talon is unbelievably understanding. This is a top notch guy ladies, the kind we all dream about. He is hot, responsible, caring, patient and did I mention he is hot. This is the kind of guys you would take home to your parents.

Who knew that they both had scars to be healed. Sometimes it is so hard to let go of our scars and things that haunt us. Tegan has come a long way in nine months but she has only scraped the surfaced of true healing. She so desperately wants to have something close to normal again. Talon wants to be the one to give her that normal. They just have to find the right dance to make it happen.

Stewart puts her whole heart and soul in this book, you can feel the agony her character goes through. This book is completely different than her other books. I'm so impressed with her growth as an author. Savannah Stewart writing skills get smoother with each book she writes. Original ideas with smooth transitions take an upfront seat to indie greatness.

Tegan is a beautifully skilled dancer, who owns and runs a dance studio. Dancing is in her blood, something she's always been passionate about and now passes that passion onto her students. Her world is ripped apart on a tragic night, that changes the course of her life and completely closes her off from everyone and everything she loves, including her students and dancing. This story is absolutely gut-wrenching.
Although Tegan has the help and support of her best friend, Adalynn, who even steps up and takes over the studio while Tegan takes personal time to heal. It isn't until one of her student's older brother, Talon, comes into the picture that Tegan finally begins the process of healing properly with his help.
Talon has been through his own life altering, tragic events, but he has already accepted what was thrown at him, picked up the pieces and moved on, adjusting to his new role as primary caretaker of his younger sister, Zoey. Talon is a much needed support system for Tegan and gives her the strength to accept what happened and move on from it.
Just as Tegan comes to terms with her past, it comes back in full force, wrecking havoc on her fragile sense of peace and normalcy. Talon is by her side the entire time, forcing her to work through the mess and adapt again.
This story is an incredible tale of recovery, finding inner strength and the power of love to heal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a read that will completely consume you as a reader.

Amazing story.

I was a little sketchy at first as to if I would really like this book and if I could get into it, but once I got a couple chapters into it, I found myself not being able to put the book down. I love how brave and strong Tegan was despite her insecurities and the hardship life threw at her, but she preserved and learned to love and live again.

Tegan Carter our heroine is a strong beautiful skilled dancer, who owns her own dance studio "Graceful Moves." Dancing is her whole world it's all she ever wanted to do, she's extremely passionate about it something she now passes onto her students. One tragic night Tegan's life as she ever knew it would forever change her, leaving her completely devastated. She closes herself off for nine months from everything, including her love of dancing.
The one constant person who's always by Tegan's side is her best friend Adalynn who's truly amazing, she's the one who takes over the studio while Tegan fights to regain her life back. That is until a certain someone and a special little girl enter her life and studio.

Talon Fisher our hero, who I absolutely adored. Talon also has scars that haven't healed and he's trying to move on with his life, for the sake of his little sister Zoey whom he has custody of. Zoey also has a passion for dance, Talon enrolls her in Graceful Moves. There first encounter in the studio was a little unsettling for Tegan, once Talon explained who he was and his reasoning for coming to the studio, Tegan begins to calm her nerves down.

Things start to look up for Tegan and Talon, she feels that just maybe her life can get better, with the help of Talon. But sometimes life can be cruel and throws you for a loop. When another dramatic event happens, causing Tegan's past demons to come back, she once again has to rely on her friends to help her through it all.

Can two people who have been battling demons from their past move on in life, start to heal together and eventually live your life again?

Graceful Scars was a heartbreaking, emotional, gripping story, about people dealing with demons and scars of there past. How sometimes in life you have to let people in and in turn those are the ones who you can truly count on. Demons can be put to rest and scars do eventually heal you just have to want them to!!

Savannah once again outdid herself with this one it's completely different than her other books, she throws so much more emotions into this story. Her growth as a writer just keeps getting better, so kudos to her.

"I guess you could say all the wounds of life have slowly been healing into graceful scars."

This story was such a wonderful, emotional read for me. The story opens with Tegan coming back to her dance studio months after a horrific incident. The only support system she has there, is her best friend Adalynn, who truly is the reason why the studio stayed afloat and helped Tegan work her way back. We should all be so lucky to have an Adalynn in our lives.

"I refuse to be sorry for saying I would switch places with you, because I would in a heartbeat! You're my best friend, Tegan! Don't you understand that I would go through hell and high water to make sure you are okay?"

Tegan still is experiencing panic attacks and unable to run the classes alone but her coming back and being their is a huge hurdle for her. She's a work in progress. Then her world is flipped upside down by the arrival of Talon. Good lord....Talon...holy hell did this man make me swoon and melt my heart throughout this book. Hot as hell and sexy as sin. He is the caregiver to his 7 year old sister who now dances at the studio. He is this amazing caring, sweet, protective soul and would do anything to keep the ones he loves safe. Talon and Zoey have their own tragic and sad history too, which breaks your heart. Incredibly grateful they have each other in their lives.
Talon is smitten with Tegan immediately and knows he wants her more than just as friends. But Tegan is not ready. She cannot trust so easily and just letting him and Zoey in, takes a little time. I loved watching their friendship grow and then when it became more, was just beautiful. He was incredibly patient and kind with Tegan. To good to be true definitely popped up a few times for me. But that is Talon. Tegan deserved someone this wonderful in her life. She just needs to realize what is now in front of her and learn to accept and trust her feelings and Talon.

"I'm not allowing you to push me away or whatever you're trying to do." He dropped his mouth to my neck and ran his lips softly up the curve as he spoke. "You're not getting rid of me because life gets to hard."

There is a huge setback at one point for her. But everyone is in Tegan's corner, but she is the one that finally has to heal enough to let go and finally move on from her past. Talon, Adalynn, Zoey, and her therapist Abigail all support her, to help her through it. The ending was so heartwarming and left a huge smile on my face. I loved this story and so happy I was able to read and meet this wonderful group of characters!!

Somehow I knew I was going to be connected with this book long before Savannah even finished writing it. Sometimes your gut feeling just knows when something epic is bound to happen.

Savannah wrote a story that in a part was very close to my heart, I used to be a dancer once and I loved it with every fiber of my body and soul. But then life happened and I had to call it quits.

When you love something so fiercely and passionately like Tegan did and still does with dancing, is something you just can’t understand if you don’t have a passion like that of your own.

But one faithful evening and all of that comes crashing down and the very place where she practiced that passion becomes the place where she’ll be haunted by demons for all eternity.

Luckily Tegan can count on Adalynn, if it weren’t for her things would have been a lot worse. Slowly but surely Tegan starts to crawl out of the black whole and slowly starts to live again. She has not only Adalynn to thank for that but a lot of that has to do with a young new dancer Zoey and her “OMG, swoon worthy, TDH” hunk of a brother ;-)

Once you think everything is starting to get better again a few dramatic events occur and this new found group of friends will have to stick together once more and battle demons of the past.

Prepare yourselves for a heartbreaking, emotional tale of people battling their demons and how love and friendship will be the key factors to heal one another.

Do not under any circumstance underestimate the power of true friendship because when you don’t feel like yourself and you find yourself at your darkest it will be because of that and a kick ass dose of self confidence that you’ll only can start to heal and eventually live again. After a while you can say you truthfully say that you have graceful scars.

The last part of the epilogue had some amazing inspirational words and certainly made me think things through. This is a book written by a lady with a true talent to capture a reader’s heart.

I urge you to read her books, I promise y'all that you won’t regret it!

Graceful Scars by Savannah Stewart

Well, Savannah Stewart has done it again. I am completely in awe of this story and the meaning behind it. I experienced so many emotions during Graceful Scars, but was left feeling fulfilled and happy.

Tegan was such a relatable character. She owns a dance studio, Graceful Moves, and I love that her dancing plays such a big part of who she is. You can feel her passion deep down in your heart, and with the way Savannah Stewart beautifully strung her words together, you feel like you are there experiencing her life first hand. Tegan is fighting demons from her past and has panic and anxiety attacks, causing hiccups in her every day life. When she would have an “episode”, my heart would speed up, I would be fighting my OWN tears.

Enter Talon. Talon, Talon, Talon. *le sigh* He is the epitome of a perfect man. Smart, sweet, attentive, protective, attractive. After a terrible family accident, Talon became the legal guardian of his seven year old sister, Zoey. She attends Graceful Moves, which is where their lives intertwine.
Tegan and Talon together was a match made in heaven. At first, I thought that Talon was TOO sweet, TOO attentive, but that changed so quickly. And by quickly, I mean within a PAGE, maybe less. I loved how he was like her cure-all, even though he didn’t CURE her, he protected her and understood her and stood by her. He never blamed her, never accused her, he just LOVED her, and in this story that worked in the best possible way ever.

The beauty of this novel is that, even when things in your life are terrible and you are fighting demons, you are to keep on dancing. Savannah Stewart touched base with some serious issues in this novel, and showed that even in your darkest moment, you can rise up and love and live life. Every character was relatable and loveable. The plot line was real and raw. I just can’t say enough about this book. Her words were beautiful and flawless and carried you through the story so effortlessly.

Graceful, is so not the word that was instilled into Tegan Carter’s head at a very early age, but she feels far from graceful. Especially when her world as she knows it is turned upside down. She finds herself spiraling into darkness and without any light or hope in sight,

until Talon Fisher walks into her life.

Trying so hard to find herself once again, Tegan is faced with a big dilemma she does not want to encounter at all. But will her scars that run deep keep her from allowing herself a second chance that she herself needs and a normal life,

or will the darkness take over her once again.

Graceful scars is an emotionally charged heartfelt and tear worthy book it pulls at your heart strings like no other book before.

I So have to mention Tegans best friend Adalynn she is a true friend unlike an other, she has been with Tegan from the get go and has always been there for her emotionally and physically. which is just what you want from a best friend.

Then there's Talon ( love his name ) he is a top notch man very caring and understanding of Tegans situation,
he is unbelievably hot and he is so the right and type of man that you want to take home to your parents. after all what woman doesnt want to find a man like Talon,

i have to mention a part of this book i really loved it made my eyes tear up,

My entire body ached with pain as i managed to get to my feet.
i had forgotten my ankle injury that occurred during the struggle,
but it hit me full force when i dragged myself back to the studio.
i cried louder than i ever have .... might've even screamed a few times
as i fell in the gravel a couple of times, my leotard was torn to shreds
and had splotches of blood on it.

you dont have to tell me anymore, Tegan as he kissed the top of my
head as i continued to cry.

Wow what a book

Tegan Carter has loved to dance ever since she was a young girl. Opening her own dance studio with her BFF Adalynn as her assistant, life is rather graceful. That is until her world is turned upside down and is now spiraling into darkness without any light in sight. Even with the help of Adalynn moving on from this tragic event is difficult. After nine months of trying to put her life back together, she encounters Talon Fisher and he is the light she needs, but will she allow herself this second chance at a normal life?
“Talon had hit the nail on the head without even knowing how right he was. It was like he was sent into my life to help me push forward, to help me realize that all scars have a story behind them, you just have to allow them to heal first without hindering the scab. I had been hindering my scabs for far too long.”
This is the first book I have read by this author and it deals with a difficult subject that the author did a great job in writing about. Tegan’s scars are scary and they are not something to overcome in the blink of the eye and we saw her struggles and fears. They were portrayed very realistically.
When Tegan and Talon first meet and as the relationship builds, I felt it was somewhat choppy and we were missing something so that is why I am not rating it a 5 star book.
This book is packed with so many varying emotions. From being happy, to sad, to swooning, to worry, to shock. The interactions with Adalynn and Zoey just added to the depth of this story.
I’m looking forward to reading Zoey’s story.
I read and reviewed this for Kylie’s Fiction Addiction.

This was a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL story!! Tegan meets Talon at just the right time, when she is trying to put her life back on track after a tragedy derailed her for a while. Their relationship is electric right from the start - you can feel the pull they have on each other, and Talon's heart is wide open for us to see, even when sometimes Tegan doesn't (and that is some talented writing, I think, because the story is told from Tegan's POV).

Talon's raising his sister, Zoey, and she has as much of a hand in helping Tegan to heal as Talon does. Rounding out the supporting cast is Tegan's BFF & partner in her dance studio, Adalynn. I love how their friendship grows through the story, as well. Especially because Tegan can be a royal PITA at times, mostly when she's fighting the good things that are happening and getting lost in her head... But that is actually a big part of what I loved about this story. Even when she's getting lost in her head, and normally I wouldn't like her or the character traits she exhibits would annoy me, instead I could really FEEL for her. Again, good storytelling.

The story itself is one of healing - Talon & Zoey have their own tragic tale, as well, and we can see their healing, too, but this is definitely Tegan's story. The love Talon shows her throughout her healing, the patience and grace, really... It just warmed my heart, and made me enjoy the story all the more. : )

Tegan Carter is trying to move on from the night she was attacked and raped at her dance studio, Graceful Moves, 9 months ago but is finding it difficult with constant panic attacks that overwhelm her. Luckily her best friend Adalynn is able to help her run the studio in her absence.

Talon Fisher's little sister Zoey has just started dancing at the studio while Tegan was away but sparks fly between Talon and Tegan instantly. Will Tegan allow herself to get closer to Talon and have a normal relationship?

Yet panic attacks are not all they have to worry about as several incidents test the strength of both their relationship and their inner strengths and maybe everything happens for a reason, even if we have no idea why.

I thought this was a beautifully written book that deals with the difficulties of moving on after an horrific event. The panic attacks that Tegan had were so sad to read about and I can't imagine the pain that many women go through after this happening.

Talon was amazing and so patient even though he had no idea what Tegan had been through. Although he had his own difficult past and never lost sight of what was important to him.

This book deals with healing and talks about the importance of counseling for getting through the difficult times. Great read!

This book is a combination of perfect, sweet and sexy all rolled up into one amazing story, it makes you think and feel.
Savannah Stewart did an amazing job with this book you feel every emotion running through the words.
Tegan's world was ripped apart one tragic night and her life was never the same, until Talon came along with his sweet little sister and helped Tegan to find herself again. Tegan finally begins the process of healing properly with Talon's help and friendship.
I really felt the connection between Tegan and Talon, i loved how patient, thoughtful and respectful of Tegan, Talon was.
Talon's life has not been without tragedy, he has been through some really tough times in his life, but Talon seems to have it sorted he picked up the pieces, got himself together, accepted his new role in life as he has Zoey to think about.
Zoey is a little fir cracker i liked her cute nature, she is a good Character.
This story is one of those really incredible books full of recovery, finding inner strength and using the power of love and friendship to heal, and live again instead of standing in the background watch other people live there lives.

Great emotional read!

Tegan is a successful, young bussiness woman who has her own dance studio, Graceful moves. She loved dance and thought there was nothing else in the world, until one awful night where she fell victim to someone who took the life she never thought she'd get back. She was attacked and raped outside of her studio, her safe haven, by a man she didn't let get get prosecuted of his actions.
Fast foreword 9 months she's still dealing with the depressed state that stranger left her in. She still ran the studio but only taught a few classes here and there. Her best friend Addalyn kept up with stuff for her.
She never thought the boy who came in with his sister would be more like her than she thought. They both had demonstrated needed conquered so what better way to do that than together.

This is a great emotional read that lets you feel it all, sadness, anger, happiness. It grips at your heart strings and makes you not want to put the book down! So glad I got to read this!

Oh this book!!! There are so many wonderful things to say about this beautifully heartbreaking story of having something so horrible happen to you and still being able to pick yourself back up and changing your life for the better!! Tegan is one of the strongest female characters I have read in a awhile! She concours things most of us can't even imagine going through let alone coming out the other side, and Talon oh my... He is simply breathtaking!! Not only do I love him and all he represents but he just draws you in and makes you see why him and Tegan can concur anything if they let their walls down and finally allow their love to heal them!! Savannah Stewart never fails to blow me away with her words and how she can break your heart and then put it back together and make you feel like it was all worth it! It's a must read for all who love a story of beating the odds and facing your fears head on!!

"Oh Wow So Sweet and Touching"
This book won my heart!. The story line is intense, but also so touching its incredible!. The characters are charming.
Tegan is a young woman who has her world torn apart one day when she is attacked and raped at her dance studio she owns. Now months later she is back at her studio trying to piece her life back together. Her Bf Adalynn has been running the studio for her. Tegan goes to the studio early to practice dancing. While there she has a melt done as a new seven year old student Zoey and her brother Talon shows up. Tegan Hits Talon as in her mind he is the one who attacked her. When she finally calms down she is embarrassed when she sees what she did. Talon is very attracted to Tegan even if she did hit him in the Jaw lol. Talon and Zoey become a big part of Tegan's life and recovery. You will love reading as Tegan fights her pasts nightmares and the love that forms between her,Talon and Zoey. This is an amazing five star plus Romance!.

Solid 3.5 read for me. This was a clean, straight to the point read. It wasn't sloppy and it was well put together. I really enjoyed this read especially since it's not what I would read most of the time.

I didn't feel totally connected to Tegan but that was okay. I loved Zoey and I wish I knew more about Tegan's best friend.

I really felt the connection between Tegan and Talon though (the two main characters. How awesome is his name?) I liked how patient and gentle Talon was of Tegan. Despite her struggles.

This story is an empowering tale of recovery, finding inner strength and the power of love to heal. My only warning for you guys is that's it's an emotional read. There could be some triggers as well. There's two sets of people battling their inner demons and past.

Bad things have happened to Tegan. After being away from her work when she returns she meets Talon and his little sister Zoey. This isn’t a sweet romance. Talon is the real hero in this book because of his patience and how he is with Tegan. I don’t know if I really believe a 7 year old gets up and makes pancakes all on her on, but Zoey was a nice addition to the story. This book is tragic but yet the romance between Tegan and Talon is one you root for and can’t wait until they get there. I wish the author would have used different names for them. They sound a bit more like twins than a couple, but that is really the only thing that I would change about this book. This is the first book that I have read from this author and I will definitely not hesitate to read another one. Great book!

This is another amazing book by Savannah Stewart. I read it in all one sitting. It's short, emotional and well written.

You'll fall in love with Tegan and Talon. They are both two amazing people and when you add Zoey to the mix... it's hilarious, crazy and sweet.

You'll be sad, elated, excited and angered by this book.... All your emotions will come out while reading, for sure!

Graceful Scars is a beautiful story and I can't recommend it enough. If you love Ballerinas, Sweet Amazing Men, A Sassy Sister, Pain, Love and Contemporary Romance... this book is for you!!!!

4 stars from me.

Truly felt every single emotion with this story. What great story telling by Savannah Stewart. Tegan Carter is a dancer who has something earth shattering happen to her. She is trying to overcome the depression and anxiety attacks and go back to her studio. Her new student comes with her older brother, Talon that is her guardian. The first time they meet Tegan is in the middle of a breakdown and he tries to help her thru it.
This is a great real life story that I really enjoyed.

Let me start out by saying that this was a great book. Be warned... It will drag your emotions out of you while you're reading it. Tegan is bright and talented but sadly suffers a life changing tragedy that she must find a way to overcome while be surrounded with a constant reminder of this event everyday. Talon's enters her life at just the right time and could be the one who could possibly help her heal. They both must face the highs and the lows together in order to build a life together.
