The Mark of Mine was such an amazing book. I had honestly been waiting for it ever since I read the first two books, because I was completely hooked from the very first one.

Everything about it was perfect: the story, the writing, the structure, the characters, and the way everything came together. I loved seeing how Zero, Atlas, and Bane were able to change Max’s wrong way of thinking. Each of them complemented Max in a different way, and Max complemented the three of them in his own unique ways too. It was so incredible to read their connection.

The most beautiful part was seeing how they were willing to go through hell for him and pull him out of it, simply because they loved him. That love, loyalty, and devotion made the story feel so special.

And seeing how, in the end, they built a life together, happy and doing what each of them wanted, was just perfect. This book was everything I hoped for and more. To me, it was perfect.

It just drags (spoiler)

I got half way through this book and nothing exciting i almost DNF but I was so invested to see what was Margot’s and Richard reaction to there sons bonding. Omg it was really getting on my nerves how scent blind and deaf Margot and Richard were. Like you can’t be serious. There was omega heat spikes going on all around that house and nothing they couldn’t tell at all. There was a lot of s3x and not enough plot. I thought a cliffhanger was coming. Then finally towards the end you get the big blow out because finally the damn parents find out about the secrets their sons been keeping then all hell breaks loose. Also when Margot kept saying Max was just a kid he was being taken advantage of that really pmo he’s 20!!!!! I liked the other two books but this one fell short for me.

the Ending.

Finallyyy! I’ve been waiting for the finale and was hanging on the edge of my seat to get this book. Halle knows how to tell a story. The plot was really good. There were a lot of spicy 🌶️ 🥵 scenes but also a lot of sentimental ones. Max finally gets his HEA, and bonded mates for life between Zero, Bane, and Atlas. I only wish that Max’s mother Margot had found out sooner and that Richard’s character could’ve developed more in the story. Else, between foster homes, Linda, Richard & his Stepsons, a kidnapping, cell, Wren, a lake house vacay, bonded mates bites, Kline crime org sex trafficking, police & Justice and rescue. This series was a roller coaster of a ride and super good. 📚

I didn’t write this review right away, because it’s that kind of book. It’s the third of three that you have to chain read because if you don’t know what happens next, you’ll go insane. There was a five day wait between when I finished the second one and when this one was released and for five days there was an unfinished, not-okay, nagging in the back of my mind. Getting up in the morning, going to work, walking the neighborhood, “What happened to Max and Atlas and Bane and Zero?” Don’t read this one first. You deserve to know Max’s whole story, so him finding peace at the end can leave you wrecked. You’ll put your Kindle, your books, your tech down for a bit, because this is the story you decompress from. Fair warning.

now THIS is an ending

Thank all that exists! This finale couldn’t come out fast enough for me. And I LOVED IT. Thank you Halle for that whirlwind!

Cages. Stepbrothers. Heat. A hostile takeover. Secret.
How long can the bonds of their secret relationship stay tight without being tested? This book shows it. Everything comes out and in the midst we see who everyone is - from Wren to Max to Richard. I hope to see some characters in a secondary series and I hope others spend eternity in jail.
You’ll love it here :)

Still barely any plot

I’d estimate this was 80% banging and 20% angst with a sprinkle of plot thrown in. I’m still quite confused why the brothers decided never to speak to Richard again over what was clearly an accident, but Max figured everything else out, so I guess whatever.

Never thought I would find Zero so cute either. Oh the joys of 300 pages of simping and 100 more (being generous) of wrapping up a very plot-light angst fest.

loved this trilogy!!!

It’s honest raw and beautiful. I read a lot of books and there are few that are emotional. This one is special. Great job to this author. I recommend this trilogy.

DNF'd at 63%

This one was utter shit. I use a lot of text to speech because I struggle with concentration while reading and every 2 pages the audio just stops and I it bothered me so much.

This story was also weaker than the second book and I don't like the relationship with the brothers and our sweet omega Max. Bane's trauma from the second book was also completely overlooked which I didn't like because he's my favorite out of the whole story. But tbh I had problems with all four characters throughout the book.

I won't read anything by this author in the future bc of the obvious AI usage. I don't have problems to use AI to search for errors or maybe find a better way to articulate special topics but writing a whole book with it is just not okay and is a slap in the face for real authors.

Instead of writing a review for every book, I figured one on the last should do fine.
The basic idea of 3 alphas & one omega had me hooked right away, add the stepbro trope & I'm sat.
At times it was good & hot, but it really shouldn't have 3 books, the plot was stretched for too long. It was too repeative for each alpha, Atlas is controlled, Bane is measured, Zero is crazy - only so many ways you can spin it over 3 books, like once or twice was enough for me to understand that.
It was disappointing that despite 3 alphas, the brothers basically might as well have been intimate with their one omega separately as beyond basic stuff nothing extra spicy happens when all 4 of them are together, like no dp, nothing beyond the same old, same old, everyone just waits their turns like it's an appointment at the DMV.
And the fact that they are doing everything in a house with their parents living there for over an year and no one ever smells anything as in changed pheromones, no one once sees any of the bite marks over 3 books was too far fetched.
I liked the plot with the kidnapping and hoped that would be a one-time thing, but we have to deal with the same bad guy in book 3, too.
My expectation of some good omegaverse (I LOVE omegaverse the most of all subgenres) spice & better plot were very much ruined, so 2-stars it is.
