The realms and characters in this book are beautiful. The writing style is sharp and engaging, keeping you hooked line by line.

The angels, demons and fey mix is very unique and nice change from the usual paranormal (werewolves and vampires) romance.

This is an easy book to read and the plot keeps you enthralled, even the ending leaves you wanting to know more.

I loved Marcus as a character, and I wanted to get to know Jeremy more too, hope he features some more in the next books.

I struggled a little bit to connect with Grace the FMC, it would have been nice to learn what made her into the gentle and considerate person she became, what shaped her growing up etc.

The hidden lessons in this book were refreshing to read. Power can’t be forced, you must earn it, respect it so it bends without breaking. Teaching that patience and kindness go further than brute strength and demanding submission.

The FMC arc angel Michael was broody, masculine and a typical Alpha energy. Sometimes I felt like slapping him but he came through in the end and redeemed himself.

The story itself was gripping and there was action dotted throughout the book. With the different realms and beings you didn’t get bored. The timelines switched it up also, going from past, present and even future. But it never got complicated.

If you like slow burn romance in a supernatural world then this is a great book to pick up. Can’t wait to read more.

I read this on kindle and I’m not sure if the layout from the physical copy carried well so it did make following the narrative a little difficult but overall an excellent story

This book had such an interesting and imaginative concept, and the creativity behind the story was definitely one of its biggest strengths for me. I particularly loved the idea of the different worlds and heavens. There are some genuinely unique ideas here, and I could see so much potential in the world the author has created and where the story could go next.
There is a lot happening within the book, with multiple POVs alongside shifts between the past, present and future. At times, I did have to concentrate a little more to keep track of exactly where I was in the story, and there were places where I would have liked the writing to flow a little more smoothly. That said, there is also a huge amount being introduced and established within this first book, and I was intrigued by the bigger picture beginning to emerge.
I would have liked a little more time to get to know some of the characters and become more invested in their relationships, but this very much feels like the beginning of a much larger story, with plenty of room for those connections to develop as the series continues.
Uncle Marky, however, was a character I really enjoyed. I found myself rooting for him and genuinely wanting things to work out for him, and he was probably the character I connected with the most.
For me, the real strength of this book lies in its plot and world-building. The different worlds, heavens and wider possibilities within the story made it feel refreshingly different, and I loved the ambition behind it. There are so many directions this world could take, and by the end I was curious to see how everything introduced here will develop.
Overall, this is a creative and ambitious beginning to what promises to be a much bigger story. There are plenty of questions still to be answered, and I’m looking forward to discovering what comes next.
