I was blessed with a mother who instilled the love of reading in me at a young age. That progressed into a passion for the written word in all forms, which led to my writing. My day job is about as uncreative as it gets. I do medical transcription, spending numerous hours at the computer each day trying to decipher the mumbled, garbled and often unrecognizable words the physicians are dictating, in an effort to make a complete and comprehensive patient record. It’s almost as bad as trying to read their handwriting!
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I’ve lived in various places throughout my youth, from California to Hawaii and back to Florida (Key West), before finally settling in Texas. I make my home outside Dallas, Texas with my spoiled black lab (Missy).
I am a member of Romance Writers of American and the Dallas Area Romance Authors (DARA), where I’m an active member; you can find me at the local meetings each month.

Relentless Pursuit is the third book in the New Orleans Connection series by Kathy Ivan. In this series, readers get to know the men of the Lamoreaux family. In Relentless Pursuit readers meet Detective Remy Lamoreaux and Jennifer “Jinx” Marucci. Jennifer witnesses her brother being hot by Vladimir Dushenko, a Russian mobster. She flees and makes her way to the New Orleans Police Department where she meets Remy. Captain Hilbrand assigns Remy to protect her. They go on the run dodging the clutches of Dushenko. Will Remy be able to keep Jinx safe? Will Dushenko’s threat be neutralized? What happens between Remy and Jinx? Will they find happiness? To discover the answers to these questions, you must read this book.
Yet again, Ms. Ivan does an incredible job with this romantic suspense. I enjoyed how she used characters from previous books as supporting characters. I like the way she uses the theme of family to her plot. Ms. Ivan masterfully creates dialog. Her conversational dialog is strong and concise. The internal dialog of Jinx and Remy reveal their backstories. I loved her use of a dual plot line. The overarching plot line is the suspense mystery involving Bethany and her need to find her brother. The subplot is the second-chance romance between Jinx and Remy. Well done, Ms. Ivan

It always a good thing when there is a balance of action, suspense, and romance. Threw in one or two steamy scenes, and I am a happy reader. New Orleans is the perfect location for an intriguing story, as the vibe of the city enhances the plot.
Can’t say instant love is my favorite romance style, but Jinx and Remy pull it off in this book. With so tension surrounding these two, it was almost natural they would seek comfortable in each other’s arms. With a strong plot, enough intrigue, and a likable couple, the author hit all the notes for an entertaining story.

Is Jinx good luck or bad
She saw him kill her brother. She would never go to the police, but he had to pay for killing Carlos. When Remy saw her he knew she was special. After nearing her story they had protect her.
Ms Ivan always is a good story with unforgettable characters. This is her best yet

Fun
A fun book, Jinx is a good girl who witness a crime and ends up running for her life straight into Detective Remy’s arms. He ends up working her case and they end up,on the road on the run from the bad guys.

“Noodling”
Relentless Pursuit is an awesome book. I loved the non-stop action, the twists, turns, surprises. Glad Remy got a book. Love that he was a dark, tall, lean, hairy chested man. Yum!

Plot is fine but storyline moves slowly but then we get to the TSTL moments. . .and not just for the female characters. Not worth FREE.

Remy had been assigned the Dubshenko's case and like many detectives before him he wanted to find something that could be use to nail Dubshenko. But Dubshenko always seemed to find a way to get off.
Jinx came home after a long day, kicked her shoes off and heard some voices coming from the living room. When she realized who it was she stayed back, since Dubshenko and her brother where having a heated conversation. Dubshenko always seemed to give Jinx a bad feeling. Before her eyes went from bad to worse and had her running for her life.
Remy was the officer that was in the office when a disheveled Jinx came in. She thought she made it and was safe. Wrong! Now she finds her self on the run with a virtual stranger who made her heart flutter.
Remy and Jinx needed to keep one step ahead of Dubshenko while also making a plan to take him down. Would they survive long enough to do this? Will they be able to find a way to work together or will they clash?

A dedicated Cajun Cop, a DEA cop and his sister, Jinx, are all in a race to outrun a Russian mobster who wants his "package" back and will kill to get it. It's romantic suspense with all the prerequisites, including intrigue, danger and some on-the-run sexy times that make for an edge-of-your-seat read that was highly entertaining. This is the second book in the New Orleans Connection series that I highly recommend to romantic suspense fans.

Follow a long as the events unfold. See who wins? Can Remy hold out against the feelings building with Jinx?

I absolutely loved Remy's story. Kathy Ivan has brought us another wonderful story in this series. Jinx is the perfect counterpart to Remy's strong character. She is sweet and sassy and fiercely loyal. I can't wait for more from this author.
