Known as heralds of spring and beautiful, elegant flyers, swallows are among the most beloved of familiar birds. This is a beautiful book which celebrates the humble sparrow. This beloved bird has been much celebrated by humans, and seemingly enjoys living alongside us. Destruction of many species natural habitat has seen their populations deminish to the point of near-extinction. A wonderful, sweet and sad account of the history of this dear little bird.
