Scent Valley University #4

Alphas and Accidents

Rate this book
She accidentally bonded with him. They need to make it work.

Sabs Maverick is the life of the party. When she’s not on the volleyball court or hanging out with her best friends, she’s looking for her next good time. Hooking up with Scent Valley University’s star hockey player seemed like the perfect idea.

But when that one night of casual fun ends in a bite that irreversibly tethers Sabs to a virtual stranger and his pack, everything changes.

Suddenly, she has to get to know the men who have become her new future. The Strike Pack may not have chosen this, but they’re determined to give her the world:

Adler… Everyone’s favorite team captain with a big ego and an even bigger heart.

Luca… A sensitive sweetheart who prefers the quiet of nature until she brings the noise.

Orin… The serious security boss who makes rules that are fun to break.

Adjusting to her new normal won’t be easy, especially when Drax—a late-presenting alpha and childhood friend who has always loved her—moves in with them. With jealous rivalry flaring, campus drama brewing, and a protective family demanding answers, Sabs is forced to get serious. She must open up and face her true feelings if they’re going to make a real home together.

Will this accident turn into the best thing that ever happened to them, or will the chaos destroy the lives they’ve all been building?

Finishing this series definitely made me cry! The scent valley omegaverse world has been such a fun world for me and I'm so sad that it's over!

Polly Maple is a great writer and she's also so kind! Thank you so much for the ARC!!

This book was a 5 star read! I loved all the guys and Sab is my absolute dream girl. The banter was so good and I loved that she had a dirty mouth and held her own with the guys!

Definitely pick up this series because it is amazing!

Ahhh this book was so good! A perfect wrap up for our final Stella Sister. I loved the way Polly built the found family vibes not only in the back, but within the girl group too. The characters here felt so relatable, like take me back to my college days and I would have been friends with them all. The accidental bonding was also done really well here. I loved that they had a mini-freak out before eventually building a really special relationship and pack. While bittersweet, this was a great send off for the series and I can’t wait to see what’s next from Polly!

What a way to end our time at SVU.
It has been such an incredible ride getting to know each of the Stellas and seeing all of their happily ever afters has been so wonderful.
Get out the tissues, because saying goodbye to these characters is a real tear jerker!

Sabs story, much like her, is wild, chaotic and a total party. We’re instantly sucked into Sabs and Drax’s story. It's been a long time coming, for their feelings to finally bubble over and the pain Drax felt, my god, I just wanted to wrap him up in a big cuddle.

Sabs’ pack was absolutely, perfectly imperfect for her; there's Alder, the Golden Boy of Hockey, a total golden retriever, reformed playboy, with a hidden sensitive side. Luca, the quiet calm to Alder’s chaos, he’s sweet and introspective, exactly what Sabs needs in all of the drama that is her life, a safe place to land. Orin, the broody pack lead, that is a total secret softie. He’s fiercely protective of his pack and his loved ones, his needs are always last and he is a total rule following daddy - exactly what Sabs needs. (Sabs is also exactly what he needs!!). Then we have Drax, our gentle giant, sweet and caring, loyal to the bone and so very deliciously possessive over Sabs.
Absolutely everything about this pack and their story was exquisite. Beautifully written, and gorgeous to read.

If you’re a fan of, sweet omegaverse, accidental bonding, build-a-pack vibes, grumpy x sunshine, golden retriever and gentle giant MMCs, forced proximity, independent, bad a** FMCs, ‘it’s always been you’, scent matches and a sisterhood that will leave you weeping. This is definitely the book for you!

I have loved my time at SVU and will yap about my Stellas all day long, so thank you Polly for having me along for this crazy ride, for inviting me to review each of our Stellas books, and for giving me the opportunity to come along with you as you grew. I feel so absolutely honoured to have been here from the beginning and cannot wait to see where you go from here!

What an ending to this fantastic series....

Finally Sabs gets her story and i am so glad that Polly left her until last because Sabs definitely takes us out with a bang. I love that we got to know Sabs a bit more and i honestly am obsessed with her, she is literally incredible.

Our mmc's are Adler, Luca, Orin and my favourite, Drax. Adler is the charming and outgoing hockey player, Luca is kind and very calming and Orin is their pack leader who always puts his pack before himself. And our Drax, well he is Sabs childhood friend that has always kept him at length as he is a Beta but he is totally obsessed with Sabs. I really like him the most for some reason.

The plot was incredible. Sabs accidently bonds with one of the alphas after a very intense night with him, gets scared and kind of leaves after bonding. After a talking to with her SVU girls, Sabs realises that she needs to live with her newly bonded alpha. That's where things get interesting and I was so excited to see how it all unfolded especially as Orin invited Drax to live with them. I love how the relationships developed, her guys were so respectful of her boundaries and were happy to go at her pace. I also really enjoyed how Sabs and Drax rebuilt their connection because it was so obvious that they were meant to be.

I could go on and on but i want you to experience this story for yourself and I don't want to give anything away.

Shout out to my SVU girlies and their respected packs! Love you all!!!

I am so sad to say goodbye to this world, they will all hold such a special place in my heart.

Polly, you did amazing, i am so excited for what you have for us next. Thank you for bringing me on this journey.

Thank you Polly and your amazing team for the opportunity to read this story and to be apart of your ARC team. I am forever grateful 🙏

I opened this expecting a sweet, cozy omegaverse romance to unwind after a long day, but instead I got served first 15 pages of pure toxicity, boundary-crossing, and emotional manipulation!

The FMC, Sabs, is literally an abusive narcissist. She KNOWS her beta best friend Drax has deep feelings for her, and she openly admits in her head that she’s been using him like a "favorite blanket" whenever she's horny or lonely. Yet, what does she do?

- Forces him onto the dance floor when he repeatedly says NO 🚫
- Grinds on him against his will 🤮
- Uses him as a fake knot substitute because she can't find an Alpha 🤡

Masterclass in Gaslighting & Manipulation:
She doesn’t just cross physical boundaries—she systematically gaslights him when he tries to express his genuine pain:
- Minimizing & invalidating his feelings: When he is visibly hurt, she brushes it off as him being a party pooper with
“We’re supposed to be having fun. It’s a party, remember?”

- Playing dumb & rewriting reality: She claims
“There’s nothing wrong with two consenting friends having fun,”
completely ignoring that he NEVER consented and was uncomfortable the entire time!
- Victim flipping: When he FINALLY stands up for himself and sets a healthy boundary to stop being used… she throws a childish tantrum , acts like the victim and goes right back to the party to reapply her lip gloss! 💄🐍

Calling this a "Sweet Omegaverse" is the biggest false advertising of the century

A sweet omegaverse DOES NOT start with one main character ignoring repeated refusals, violating the other's physical boundaries, minimizing his discomfort, and using him for emotional and physical gratification.

If you want a comforting read where the main character actually has a conscience: RUN. 0/5 stars, ruined my whole evening 🗑️👋

‼️SPOILERS‼️

This is the last book of this series and I think this one might be my absolute favorite. I did not want this book to end because I was fully invested in Sab’s story.

When an accidental bonding happened with Sabs and Adler, I just knew how much I was going to love them. Poor Sabs ran away because she was terrified what could happen. And then, both of them go through bond sickness where she had to move in with Adler’s pack.

I loved Sabs and I really enjoyed her friendship with the girls and how Adler’s sister, Izzie. I can’t help but hope she will pop in the future. One can only hope.

Orin had me laughing so much with his sarcastic comments. I loved the first scene when she realized he watched Desperate Housewives. Orin is the pack lead and he was the perfect example of how the head alpha should be. The way he saved Drax was everything. And their date together - hello 🔥🔥

Drax was a late presented alpha and I was here for all his emotions and feels. He’s been in love with Sabs since they were young. What I loved was how Luca immediately knew he was pack from the moment he met him.

And Luca. I loved him so much. Their date was so adorable. I did like how Adler and Luca were with her. In my opinion, Luca was such a golden retriever.

I loved how different the guys were but how they were exactly what she needed.

I could go on and on but I think this pack might be my favorite. I loved the scene with Sabs parents finding out she was bonding. And Laz - he about lost his sanity. I loved both scenes.

The ending was everything from Adler having the wand, which made me laugh and then the ending with the girls. Ugh, I’m so sad this book is over but it was everything from how everything wrapped up in the Stella House.

And I absolutely loved the bonus stories of course!

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

This book was everything I wanted in a college omegaverse romance and more! What starts as a one-night hookup quickly spirals into an accidental bond, and I was hooked....I love a good accidental bond. The mix of humor, heart, spice, and emotional growth made this such an addictive read.

Sabs is an absolute delight. She's confident, fun-loving, and fiercely herself, even when her entire world is turned upside down. Watching her navigate an unexpected bond with the Strike Pack felt authentic and rewarding. Each member of the pack brought something unique to the relationship...... Adler's charm, Luca's gentle heart, Orin's protective nature, and Drax's history with Sabs added just the right amount of tension and emotion. I loved seeing their relationships develop naturally as they learned to communicate, trust each other, and build something real together.

The balance between the romance, found family, campus life, and pack dynamics was so well done. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, heartfelt conversations, and swoony scenes that had me smiling the whole way through. Even with the chaos surrounding the accidental bond, the story never lost sight of the emotional connections that made the romance so satisfying.

This was an easy five-star read for me. If you love why choose romance, accidental bonds, college settings, lovable characters, and a pack that will completely steal your heart, don't miss this one.

“Until now, my entire life has been an incomplete puzzle, and now the last piece has slotted right into place. Like her hands were made to fit perfectly in mine.”

I am definitely sad to be leaving the Stella house behind now that the final story is being told. Sabs was such a fiercely independent character. I loved how secure she is in herself and what she wants. Reading through the eyes of a character like that is so comfortable.

What’s Inside
❤️ Omegaverse
❤️ MFMMM
❤️ University Sports
❤️ Accidental Bonding
❤️ Late Designation
❤️ Friends to Lovers
❤️ Scent Matches

I’ve said it before, but I love the idea of scent sororities. The way that these girls were compatible as friends was so special. The easiness to their friendship is something that I think a lot of people dream about, and it is an aspect of scent sympathy that I would love to see more of.

This was a fun and low-angst read, and a terrific ending to the series of these four.

ARC Review of Alphas & Accidents by Polly Maple releasing July 31. This book is part of the series of interconnected standalones, Scent Valley University. This is the fourth and final in the series. You are going to want to read the books previous to this one to really catch all the side characters I think.

I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you!

Stella Forever

I did not like the beginning of this book. Genuinely it’s 53% before I’m having a good time.

These Scent Valley University books are so interesting because I like the FMC when she’s a side character in the other books but as the FMC, she’s always really annoying. I do believe Sabrina is the worst which is crazy cause previously I liked her the best.

Ultimately by the halfway point the story turns itself around and I really enjoyed it.

“Once we’ve all filed out, Kady closes the egg-shell blue door to Stella House behind us. I draw in a sharp breath at the gentle clicking noise. It sounds so… final. .. Faye sniffles. “I’m going to miss this place.” It may only be a building, but Stella House has been so much more than that to each of us. … And for me? Well, it’ll always be the place where I found my soul sisters.”

What business did this have making me sob at the end?! I didn’t even like this series enough to care like that - but communal living is so important.

a fantastic ending to a great series

I absolutely adored sabs. I have been looking forward to her story from the moment I met all the girls in the first book, and man did this deliver! This was sweet and hilarious. Full of fun, sass, banter, and so so cute. I loved every page! I cried at the end, and I will miss the Stella’s so much. I can’t wait to hear what is next for svu! A certain younger sister in this series has caught my attention and I am so hoping that we get her story. Thanks to Polly for four very different fun reads, and for bringing us all along on the Stella’s journey. I’ve had the best time with these. If you want cozy, funny, heart warming moments with a beautiful found family and great spice then read this series. I’ve read hundreds of ov and these are definitely some of my absolute favorites!

I LOVED Sabs and her pack!
The multiple POVS’s always hit, and I ate this up!
It was emotional, funny, spicy, and heart warming; a cozy omegaverse to dive into!

Sabs just wanted her happily ever after, and though it might not have happened like she planned, she gained 4 alphas who truly cared about her. Orin, Drax, Adler, and Luca all brought something to the table, and I’m fighting myself to choose between who I loved more 😅 Maybe Luca! But then there’s Drax…..and Adler….and Orin! And that’s why it’s WHY CHOOSE!

And though it’s bittersweet, I loved the ending as well! The Stella Girls have been so fun to read about, and I’ve loved all of them so much!

10/10 would recommend!
Thank you to the author for sharing her passion project with me!

I was so excited to return to Scent Valley University, but just as filled with dread to finish it and for it all to be over! From the earlier books, I was far from endeared to Sabs, but the Strike Pack more than made up for it. They’re all made of dreams and cuddles and spice and Sabs couldn’t have been more lucky to find these men. We finally get to see the unbearable tension between Sabs and Drax we’ve seen the entire SVU series come to a head and it was well-worth the wait! We get to see even more from the strength of a sisterhood bond and the devotion of alphas to their omega. Alphas and Accidents is a challenging, yet heartwarming conclusion for Sabs and the SVU series!

Sassy, sweet ending to a series

Sabs, the last Stella who is single, captain of the volleyball team, goes to a party celebrating her teams win. After getting into a fight with her best friend Drax, she runs into Adler. After a spicy night together, where Adler bonds her accidentally. Meanwhile Drax is dealing with a late presentation of being an alpha.
Sabs has been one of the sassiest, most independent Stella's the whole series, so it makes sense she needs a pack just as sassy and stubborn as her. The fact that Drax gets a pack as well is the cherry on top.of the sundae. While im sad to see the end of a series, this was well done to provide some excellent closure.

Loved It!

Such a great conclusion to the SVU series. Sabs and her pack were a fun read. I love the blend that Polly has in her books of light and fluffy mixed with strong independent omegas and somewhat serious personal lives.

I loved Sabs’ book from start to finish, but I’m so sad that the SVU world is over. I need more of our favorite Stella’s, so here’s to hoping that Polly writes some spin offs with character pop ins. I need to see her each of her brothers and Adler’s sister get their own books!

Sweet, Sassy & Sabs Story

All of the SVU books have been great, but Sabs’s story was absolutely phenomenal! There were funny moments, plenty of spice, and soft poignant moments too. All of the guys had unique personalities that suit Sabs and the pack as a whole. I loved the banter between the characters. While I am sad to see the ending of this group of Stellas, I can’t wait to see what Polly Maple has in store! I would love to see books focusing on Sabs’s brothers, as well as other houses at SVU.

5/5 🔥

I’ve been waiting for Sabs’s story, and it was everything I hoped for, chaotic, hilarious, and full of crazy banter. Finally seeing Sabs and Drax together was my favorite part. Their dynamic is so sweet and protective, and after everything Drax goes through early on in the book, their happy ending felt perfect.

I’m sad the SVU series is officially over, but this was the perfect ending for the sisterhood Polly Maple built. I loved these girls and their wild, crazy stories… and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Gahhh, what a wonderful end to the Scent Valley University Series. This has been such a wild adventure. Sabs has always been the life of the party. I’ve loved her energy throughout the series. This one pulled a bit at my heart strings. I just wanted to snuggle Drax. My eyes might have sprung a leak at the end. I'm sad this series is over, but I'm excited to see what Polly has in store for us next!

Sweetest ending

This was fantastic! I can’t pick a favorite Alpha. They are just dreamy. Although I feel like I could read forever about this group of Omegas, it was nicely tied up. I do love late presenting, age gap, and scent matches. I think this group of alphas are just perfect for her. I can’t believe we made it to the end. It was better than I ever hoped. I will be reading this series again and again. Thank you Polly for an amazing series!

Devoured in just a few hours!
As the final book in the SVU series, I'm devastated 😭 I absolutely loved Sabs story though, from an unconventional start to an adorable love story 🩷 I was so happy to see the girls all happy and their friendship still there. The end made me so sad- it was bittersweet but the perfect end to the series!

I have been waiting for this story to come out for what seems like forever. Once I finished reading Delilah’s story I needed this book to come out. I was so happy with the story and how it ended. I wish there was more with the SVU series (I mean maybe the next group of Stellas, including Izzy?)

As much as I loved the conclusion to this story, I would have loved to see more of the individual relationships with Sabs and her alphas develop. After spending 3 other books learning about Sabs, getting to see those relationships develop more would have felt even more special.

I really liked this! Sabs has a really “in your face” personality so I wasn’t sure how I’d like this book (bc I haaaated Kady), but I really liked her in this book. All the boys were sweet and unique in their own way. I have a feeling this will continue with Adler’s sister when she comes to SVU…

The fourth and last book in the SVU series! I loved this book from start to finish! The ending had me tearing up!! 😭❤️ Sab's men were all for it even if accidents happen. But the girls had her back from the start! ❤️

“This is only the start of the rest of our stories. Our very own happily ever afters. We have found the men of our dreams, and…” “We’ve got each other.” (Chapter 43, Page 419)

This is by far my favorite series!! Takes you on a whirlwind of emotions!! All the cozy feels and just so sweet!
