Damon

Two weeks ago I was a completely normal guy; my biggest concern was settling into my post-divorce life in a new city and a new job. But then Jazz Grimsay sauntered into my life, bringing absolute chaos with him.

When I started this bartending gig I had no idea my boss was a twenty-one-year-old cocky-as-hell trust fund brat with a non-existent brain-to-mouth filter and zero respect for personal boundaries. And I sure as hell wasn’t expecting him to entangle me in a web of sexual torment…

I’m not attracted to him. I’m not even queer. But evidently that doesn’t matter in this particular situation. And there are the orgasms to prove it…

Every time Jazz opens his mouth to unleash his particular brand of filth I can’t help getting turned on. Apparently it’s called erotic humiliation and for some reason it’s suddenly become my kryptonite.

But just as I’m reluctantly starting to realize this new phenomenon isn’t as temporary as I’d hoped the asshole throws a curve ball: he’s backing off until I can sort out the mess in my head—the one he made—and choose to embrace my supposed desire for submission.

With my kids visiting for Thanksgiving weekend it should be the perfect opportunity to detox from this insanity once and for all. But it seems there’s no putting the lid back on the can of worms; and as I finally start to process everything and confront my new cravings and desires one thing becomes obvious…

Dirty talk isn’t going to be enough for me anymore. I need physical domination as well.

Touch: WTF Episode 2 is the second book in the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot serial - a super spicy, relatively low-angst "reverse-role" age gap (younger Dom, older sub) that unfolds over a series of 30K+ word installments. It is set in Isla’s Kellyverse and features cameos by characters from both the Suits & Sevens and Love & Luck series.

READER WARNING: This is an ongoing story so readers should NOT expect a HFN/HEA in this book. This episode concludes at a natural breaking point that could be considered a “soft” cliff.

Read book one first. Some of the side characters are from other books but you don't have to of read them. It was fun anytime they popped up. Apparently Jazz was in some of the other books but I don't remember him. I remember his brother Blake and didn't know he had a brother. Of course I remembered their infamous mother Sunny lol who I thought was a bit out there but a decent person. Here she's painted badly.

I typically love Islas books. Love and luck is on my many rereads list. This feels like nothing she's ever done and I'm not sure that's a good thing. It could be because it is broken up into serial books but I found it took forever to go anywhere and I was bored waiting. Lots felt repetitive while Jazz was explaining things over and over to Damon.

We get to learn abit more about both MCs and again I found them likeable but they didn't capture my attention. I wasn't feeling any chemistry between the 2 MCs. That could be due to their dynamic. Damon stating he's straight and not attracted at all to Jazz and that it is his actions alone that he enjoys and not the person, making it sound like he would enjoy anyone doing the same thing. That kind of ruined it for me as there was no feelings or desire for specifically each other.

The plot otherwise was pretty uneventful. We do get to finally see Damons kids on page and they added a bit to the plot but not much. Things did steam up in the later second half but again without feeling any chemistry between these 2 it put a damper on it. There were tiny breadcrumbs in the plot dropped every few chapters that kept me sticking around just to put it all together so I guess I could say the external drama kept me not the relationship between the 2 MCs but once again was left with no answers in the end. I really hate serial books. Not sure if I'll continue with this even if I want to know what's up with Sunny and Cody.

This second WTF instalment builds nicely on the dynamic introduced in the first, pushing Damon further out of his comfort zone as he’s forced to actually confront what he wants. Where the first part sets things up, this one leans more into the internal struggle—especially with Jazz stepping back and leaving Damon to figure things out on his own.

That shift works well, as it gives the story a bit more depth alongside the heat. Damon’s confusion and reluctant acceptance of his desires feel believable, and the push-and-pull between control and surrender continues to drive the tension between them.

Jazz remains as bold and unapologetic as ever, but the decision to pull back adds an interesting layer to his character and changes the dynamic just enough to keep things engaging. Their chemistry is still very much the focus, and it’s clear things are only going to escalate from here.

Overall, it’s a strong continuation that keeps the momentum going. It’s fast, very spicy, and definitely leaves you wanting the find out whats next!.

This is a Great Book to Read. This is the second part of the story. Damon has decided he is up for the challenge. He is interested in what Jazz has to offer at the moment. Damon is not sure he will be doing everything that Jazz wants but he is willing to try at this point. Damon is excited to have his kids for the Thanksgiving Weekend. Damon is unsure how to act around everyone. Damon takes his kids to the bar where he works for drinks and a nice visit. Jazz sends Donuts as a treat for everyone for breakfast the next day and Damon is not sure what is going to be in the box when it is opened. Jazz gives Damon a list of things that he needs to do. Will Damon do them or will he chicken out and call it quits??? IS Damon ready to follow orders from his Dom or is he still fighting the things he wants???? What will Damon do next??? Will Jazz Let up with the teasing or will it continue???.

Acceptance and Progression

This book picked right up where the last one left off. I’m reading these as they come out but I hate waiting! If I hadn’t started, I’d rather read them all at once. This story is also super steamy like the previous one, but a bit more nuanced as Jazz insists on establishing healthy etiquette. Honestly, it reads a wee bit like a primer brochure on healthy kink practices, but b/c it’s Isla Olsen she makes it engaging. And b/c it’s primarily verbal/emotional Dom/sub scenarios, it helps with maintaining awareness that a scene isn’t real life. These particular kinks aren’t really my ‘thing’ per se but I really enjoy the dynamic between the 2 mc’s; they have great chemistry. I especially enjoy seeing how Damon comes to understanding himself in this new light. Short read, hard to put down, inhaled it practically in a single sitting.

This second installment in the WTF series is just as good as the first.
I love how Damon, thanks to Jazz, learns to make sense of his new desires. Damon is mature enough and comfortable enough with himself to accept and open up to the idea of exploring.
The relationship between Jazz and Damon is evolving slowly. We’re not really expecting much romance between them anymore. Maybe it’ll happen… But if it doesn’t, I won’t be disappointed despite my initial expectations… Because the author has handled it so well that their relationship, as it stands, is satisfying and beautiful just the way it is.
I can’t wait to see how things will unfold in the next book!

----

Super hot
This is the second book in the series and these are not standalone. You need to read the first one to understand what is going on. OMG, this Book is opening my eyes to this specific Kink.
between jazz and Damon, it is so damn hot. Man alive how Damon doesn’t explode I have no idea. But jazz is the man he seems to have an answer for everything. The passion that these two share is so off the chart it is unbelievable. I cannot wait for the third book because how this book ended just made me want to scream.

I love Isla's work generally and would highly recommend her series, especially the Love and Luck series. I wanted to love this because Jazz when he appeared in his Dad's book showed such promise. But, this novel broken into a series is just taking a lot to get going. There's a lot of repetition as Jazz explains to Damon what BDSM is all about, and I'm struggling to see the chemistry between them. Hope it gets going in the next instalment now that Damon is embracing what it's all about!.

4.5 stars. Episode two of an ongoing series, this part was a bit less about the physical and more about the mental part of the growing kink relationship between Jazz and Damon. Damon is definitely growing into his completely unexpected role as a sub, and Jazz is absolutely amazing in how he guides Damon. There were some unexpected scenes, not only for me but also for the characters themselves, which made the whole even more interesting to read.
Thanks for the advance copy via Booksprout, I am happy to leave a voluntary review.

This is the second episode in a continuing series so read the first one before this. It picks up with Damon working as a bartender and Jazz is his much younger boss. Damon is straight but incredibly turned on by Jazz's use of erotic humiliation on him. Only now, he's promised to back off but Damon will miss it. This is a young Dom introducing an older man to a submissive role. It is jam packed with spice and steam with the pressure cranking up higher in each episode. It keeps you on your toes waiting for more. I received a copy of this through BookSprout and this is my voluntary opinion.

The characters were very appealing and complex and complicated. Plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

This is the second installment of the Touch series and it starts where the first book left off.

In this installment, Jazz is starting to distance himself from Damon while Damon makes his choice. The steam between the characters continues and then leaves the reader hanging - again.

I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next installment and was a little upset when this installment ended.

Overall, this is a good read that I enjoyed from the start.

Damn!!! This one turned the heat up from the first episode and it was on FIRE!!! I love how Damon continues to discover his kink with the help of Jazz and their texts are the best part. The cliffhanger is exactly where it should be and leaves you satisfied, but eager for the next episode!! I can't wait!

Thank you for the book; here is my honest opinion:
This is a cool idea, I an enjoy the serial format. I liked the change of focus in this episode as Jazz is sticking to keeping his distance, forcing Damon to figure out what he wants. Lots of good tension, great characters, steam was just okay for me, but a solid episode.

Touch is episode two of the WTF season one serial and must be read in order. This one was even better than the first book, I am just loving it. I can't wait to see what happens with Jazz and Damon next. I can't tell if I love or hate this style of several books to finish their story, but I am caught and can't stop reading.

Jazz and Damon's dynamic is on fill display during episode 2. It's much more of a realization, come to terms and enjoy it for what it is. Throw in some great side characters, and intriguing gifts... and you can't help wanting more. This serial is great! I can't wait for the next one.

I’m really enjoying this serial! There is witty dialogue, instant sizzling chemistry, and characters that you get really invested in. It delivers humor and Jazz’s no BS personality along with Damon’s confusion with every interaction he has with Jazz.

This is fast-paced, easily read in one sitting and leaves you eager for what comes next. The interactions between Damon and Jazz are majorly hot. Isla sure can hook you quickly and keep you laughing and wanting more. I loved seeing special appearances by our favourite family, the Kelly’s too!

If you love:

⭐ Witty banter & snappy dialogue
⭐ Humiliation k!nk
⭐ Masocist coming out
⭐ 1st times (with a man)
⭐ My fave “reverse age-gap”
⭐ D/s dymanics
⭐ Bingeable short HFN to be continued!

Then you should check this out!
