Don't Fall For the Grumpy Banker: A Sweet Single Dad Romance
A sunshine city girl—and my kid— made me their next project.
Jessie Harris walks into my bank asking for a loan I shouldn’t approve.
I don’t gamble on risky ideas that could take the town down with them, so I tell her no.
Problem solved.
Except she doesn’t leave.
She builds something anyway. She wins over half the town. My daughter somehow ends up right in the middle of it, coming home happier… and asking why we don’t eat kale.
And that’s when it hits me.
Somewhere between arguing over numbers and watching her make this place better. I stop seeing a bad investment, and I start seeing her.
I don’t just respect her.
I want her.
But I’m still not convinced her business won’t fail.
Now I’m left with a choice I can’t undo.
If I say yes, she’ll stay, but I risk the town, my career, and everything I’ve built.

Tyler, a cautious banker and dad meets Jessie, new in town, who makes a grand entrance at the farmer’s market. I don’t think we’d describe it as a cute first meeting, but it was memorable. One cautious banker and dad must decide if careful and safe are the same or not. Throw in Emma, his 12 year old daughter, full of opinions and encouraged by a town full of characters and you have a story. Slow and steady may win the race, but in matters of the heart that might not hold true. Loved every character and plot to happily ever after?

Sweet, quick read. No Spice. It was sweet to see the daughter open up. The business with the higher-ups in the bank was weird. Love the small town nosy neighboors.
Review of advance copy received from Author
This is not a romance but a good story. Wished there was more content of them dating and antics from local townspeople. Would have liked to see how her business ran and how successful it became. I'm a bit surprised by their declarations in last chapter since they didn't really show any emotions or interest in each other the entire book.
