Die Alive book review

Die Alive: Scattered Souls Trilogy, Book 1 by Ashborn Raven

If you are looking for a series that prioritizes deep character development and a rich, simmering connection over non-stop, frantic action, then Die Alive” is exactly the start you’ve been waiting for. This is the masterclass in how to launch a trilogy—taking the time to lay a solid foundation so that when the stakes inevitably rise, the payoff feels earned.

It is so satisfying when you find a series that understands the assignment! There is nothing better than that "slow burn" setup in a trilogy where the author takes the time to actually breathe life into the characters before throwing them into total chaos and that is what makes *Die Alive* stand out. Instead of rushing headlong into constant combat or relentless action, the book excels at world-building and character studies. You really get to know the protagonists, understand their individual backgrounds, and watch the chemistry between them grow organically. It’s a breath of fresh air to read a first installment that focuses on the *why* and the *who* before the *what*. Once you begin reading, there will be tidbits about the past and how the characters met prior to the start of the story therefore, you realize it’s not an instant connection, in fact they have known each other on a more personal level prior to the sequence of events in this book which also adds to the believability of their relationships.

For readers who enjoy complex relationship dynamics, this story offers a fantastic polyamory vibe.

The chemistry is palpable, and the way the relationships build—full of tension and emotional weight—makes the steamy scenes feel like a natural progression of the story rather than just "filler." The intimate moments are intense and add a necessary layer of heat that keeps you turning the pages, grounding the larger-than-life fantasy elements in genuine human (or supernatural) desire.

**The main Characters:**

Jaxon - is your overbearing/ overprotecting hero who loves deeply and will punish his enemies just as fiercely.

August - is the golden boy who takes a softer approach in his love with Ellia and bromance with his BFF Jaxon, yet is also fiercely protective.

Ellia the main female lead first appears to be broken and through love and protection, begins to rebuild herself. However, she has a lot of secrets that are revealed in this book and makes see her in a different light. You’ll see and I’m sure you will be shocked as me.

* **The "Slow Build":** It avoids the trap of too much, too soon. You’ll leave this book feeling like you actually *know* the characters.

* **Spiced Just Right:** The steamy scenes are woven seamlessly into the narrative, providing that addictive element that makes it hard to put down.

**Final Verdict:** *Die Alive* is a stellar introduction to the Scattered Souls trilogy. It is the perfect setup for what promises to be an epic journey. If you’re a fan of character-focused stories with deep, polyamorous relationship arcs and just enough spice to keep things interesting, pick this up immediately. Because If you prefer getting invested in the inner lives of your leads, this book is perfect. Every interaction feels deliberate. Jaxon, August and Ellia just fit. I am already counting down the days for the next installment!

OH! I forgot to mention that the author gave us a playlist in the beginning for the book with the songs that are mentioned throughout, so we could listen along. I created a playlist on Apple Music with said songs, and I played them while reading. It really enhances the experience, especially when a particular song is mentioned and you just listened to it. Anyone can do it too if you like, with Apple Music, Amazon music or even YouTube. Just create a playlist and add each song as mentioned at the beginning of the book. Trust me it’s worth it.

This book is a rollercoaster of emotions and suspense, and I'm still reeling from it.  Picture this: Ellia, this absolutely massive global superstar, literally has it all – fame, fortune, and a love life that seems perfect. She's living the dream, right? Well, buckle up, because things take a seriously dark turn. Someone she trusts completely betrays her in the most brutal way, leaving her for dead at the bottom of a mountain. Thankfully, her super-protective and totally devoted bodyguard comes to the rescue. But her recovery is anything but easy – it's long, painful, and the whole world thinks she's gone for good. While she's slowly mending, hidden from the public eye, things get incredibly intense. Not only does she grow super close to her bodyguard, but then his best friend gets tangled in the mix too! Talk about unexpected twists!  They  slowly help her heal and find the strength to face the world again. But don't think for a second she's just going to forgive and forget. Oh no, she's definitely plotting some serious revenge against the people who tried to destroy her life.  This story is just phenomenal! It's packed with secrets, danger, and a romance that will leave you breathless. The author really keeps you on the edge of your seat, hinting that Ellia was never truly safe, even before the big 'accident,' and there's a mysterious figure, Jaxon, who's been watching her every move. And seriously, that ending? I'm already counting down the days until the next one comes out. You NEED to read this!

This book was perfect. From beginning to end, I was at the edge of my seat wanting to figure out what happened next. Ellia is a fighter and learning about the background of her situation was heart wrenching. Wanting Jaxon and August to find Robyn and Michael kept me reading on. Hoping that they could avenge Ellia and for her to finally have the life she wanted.

Let me talk about Ashborn’s writing for a minute. I clicked with her way of writing so quickly and it made this book so much more enjoyable. It was so well written and I can’t wait for the rest of the series!! I wish there were more books I could read while I wait. Haha.

It has its tw’s so check those! On to book two!

Die Alive is the first installment in the Scattered Souls Trilogy, and what a start! I went through every emotion reading this book, including sweating during the super spicy scenes. For our FMC, Ellis, to find not only one perfect love, but two? Luckily Lady! But after you read everything that this poor woman has gone through and still having to endure, she totally deserves the obsessive love of two extremely hot men. While I am usually a sucker for a stalker romance, this is not one of those examples. This is an example of the creepy stalking that no one wants at all.

Even knowing that this is a planned trilogy, the cliffhanger still took my breath away, and I won’t be able to breath again until I can read the next book, Kill To Breathe.

This is a DARK Romance, so please check all the trigger warnings before reading. As I said earlier, there is a lot of trauma within these pages. But this book is well worth the read.

Overall Rating: 5/5

I don’t know where to start this review! This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m so glad I read it. The plot is dark , dramatic and tragic and it starts that way and ends that way. I was hooked by the words on the pages from the second page. I read it while I cooked and ate. I thought about it while I drove if you like mystery and dark twisted plots this is your book. If you like a strong MFC who is broken and but not giving up dive in and last but not least 2 yes 2 hot men who refuse to let her fade away then read this book.

The angst is off the charts and the chemistry is nuclear and I’m telling you now that I forgot to breathe and was worried my kindle was going to melt or explode. So grab a bottle of wine (glass optional) a soft blanket and a quiet place to land and read this book!

I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

First I’d like to thank the author for choosing me to read the ARC copy of this book. Where to begin Ellia is such a fighter it was amazing to see her grow into herself again after she suffered a major traumatic event. Jaxon is my favorite I love how possessive he is and protective. I will definitely be recommending this book to all by book friends, this does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared to cry your eyes out!

4⭐
4/5🌶

I was pulled into this book from the first page honestly. It has a really good plot and the flow of the timeline and story line is good. I didn't see any significant typos or grammatical errors (mostly things that can be correct multiple ways). The spice in this is really good. I like that the MMC's are not together but still can 'work' together during the explicit scenes when they tag teamed the FMC.

The FMC, Ellia, has been through some things. After wrecking her motorcycle on a mountain and being left for dead, by her fiance (Michael🤢), she pushed herself through physical therapy and the PTSD that came with the wreck. More secrets come to light about Michael and Ellia herself isn't the rich glamorized pop star she projects to the outside world. Jaxon (MMC), her bodyguard, has kept her safe and grounded during her recovery, but she doesn't know that he craves her like his last breath. August (MMC), is Jaxon's best friend and met Ellia before the wreck and instantly wanted her. Both MMC's work in tandem to keep her safe because Michael is still out there, watching and waiting. Ellia is anything but the helpless mouse that people think she is, she is extremely smart, resilient, logical, realistic, has emotional intelligence, and she has backup plans in place for anything that comes her way.

Ashborn's writing style is really easy to fall into, the story itself is easy to fall into. The rhythm of the paragraphs and chapters make it easy to lose yourself for hours in reading. Most of the plot was easy for me to guess, to realize what was coming next, but I will say that Ellia's depth of character was slightly a surprise, as far as all of the tech goes. Her other traits definitely fed into the final reveal of her inner character because, lets face it, you do not go through that much pain and trauma just to end up being a mouse. I cannot wait to dive into the next book.

I really enjoyed the character development, especially the way the layers of the three main characters are gradually revealed. The glimpses we get of the MMCs feel like pieces of a much larger puzzle – intriguing fragments that hint at a deeper story we don’t yet fully understand.

I loved the premise of the FMC being far more complex than the role the world tries to confine her to. At times, the way certain truths about her are revealed can feel slightly overwhelming or almost implausible, but it ultimately reinforces just how much more there is to her beneath the surface. Aside from this, I noticed a few small inconsistencies in later parts of the book – though they may be intentional, and there could be more to them than initially appears.

The portrayal of trauma and healing felt particularly authentic. Recovery isn’t linear and this book captures that well – progress comes in waves, with moments of strength interwoven with vulnerability and setbacks. That balance adds meaningful depth not only to the FMC but to the surrounding characters as well, even when they aren’t the ones directly experiencing the trauma.

The author does a great job of delivering selective truths, holding back just enough information to deepen the impact when more context is revealed later. It creates a sense of unfolding understanding that keeps you engaged throughout.

The emotional weight of what the characters endure – and relive – is vivid and impactful. I appreciated how the story explores not just healing, but the evolving nature of what someone needs in order to heal, and how that can differ depending on who is trying to support them. The relationships feel “perfectly imperfect” in a way that makes them believable, showing both a genuine effort to understand one another and the challenges that come with it.

I’m really looking forward to the next book!

If you are looking for a why choose dark romance that perfectly balances an incredible, mystery filled plot with absolutely scorching chemistry, add this to your TBR immediately.

Ellia, her bodyguard Jaxon, and his best friend August have a dynamic that is pure perfection. I loved how Jaxon and August respected each other’s feelings, creating a united front of protectiveness around Ellia. The chemistry and tension here is completely off the charts, and the spicy scenes are unbelievably hot.
But what truly made this a 5 star read for me was the plot. The mystery surrounding Ellia’s accident a year ago, which left her in a coma for months, keeps you completely hooked. She doesn't remember what happened, but Jaxon and August do. Watching them navigate whether to tell her, while the author perfectly drip feeds clues, kept me up way too late reading.
Watching Ellia work through her trauma was heartbreaking, but seeing Jaxon discover secrets Ellia was keeping from before the accident added such a juicy layer of suspense that you’ll be trapped in a "just one more chapter" loop. This book is packed with romance, obsession, secrets, and mysteries. By the end, you’re just waiting for the fallout when everyone's secrets finally collide.
Also... her ex Michael and ex best friend Robyn? I don’t even have words for them. 😤
It does end on a cliffhanger, but knowing Book 2 isn't a long wait makes it completely worth it. Highly recommend!

It might be a me problem as I'm not into this story or characters. Honestly tge FMC irks me and I'm not sure if ill continue.
I slightly skimmed after her accident as I'm having problems with her level of PTSD and trauna to that of what her boyfriend did. Honestly I get the trauma of almost being killed because he tweaked her brake lines on her bike and how he left her for her bf & stole money..

I'm laughing at how serious of a threat he's supposed to be- laughing at how traumatized the FMC is because I'm just not seeing it as a big deal. All I read is a dumb girl celeb who allowed her bf to screw around on her seceral times, ignoring all the red flags.

Final straw was FMC calling the tattoo she secretly half owns, rather than just SAY that to the receptionist, she just immediately starts asking for rare & entitled things that the tattoo shop does.

Not.do.for.normal.everyday.customers. and the receptionist tells her this, but she's not being mean, rude or snotty.

Fmc is asking to use all 3 of the 4 artists, asking for special times and even a house call. Again the receptionist has zero idea FMC is her boss. So FMC is treating the clueless receptionist like she's being bitchy and she's not.

I didn't think much of the FMC much before that and even less afterwards.she comes across as entitled in that moment.

Die Alive was such a dark, intense, and emotional read!

Ellia is a survivor trying to put herself back together after a devastating betrayal changed her entire life. I really enjoyed watching her slowly reclaim her strength, her body, and all the hidden parts of herself. She may be struggling with trauma, but she is definitely not weak and the more secrets she revealed, the more fascinating she became.

Jaxon and August are both extremely protective, possessive, and morally gray, but they give Ellia very different things. Jaxon brings the darkness and intensity, while August brings warmth, comfort, and humor. I loved the connection between the three of them and how neither man expected Ellia to choose.

This story has suspense, danger, secrets, betrayal, trauma recovery, explicit spice, and plenty of “touch her and die” energy. It also kept me guessing about Michael and Robyn and how they always seemed to stay one step ahead.

That ending was brutal! The final chapters had me completely stressed, and the cliffhanger left me needing the next book immediately. If you enjoy dark why choose romance, obsessive protectors, complicated characters, and mysteries that continue across a series, definitely check the content warnings and give this one a try.

🖤🎸 ARC REVIEW 🎸🖤

I honestly don’t even know where to BEGIN with this book because I am completely obsessed. 😩✨ Thank you to the author for the ARC because this story consumed my life in the best way possible.

This book has:
🖤 why choose romance
🎸 rockstar vibes
🏉 rugby player MMC
🛡️ obsessed bodyguard MMC
🔥 powerful FMC energy
🖤 dark romance tension
👀 possessive men
💣 emotional DAMAGE
😵‍💫 a cliffhanger that ruined me

The CHARACTERS?!?! Every single one felt so layered and addictive. The FMC was strong, compelling, and held so much power in every scene, while the MMCs had me giggling, kicking my feet, and emotionally spiraling at the same time. 😭

The tension building in this book was absolutely unreal. Ashborn knew exactly when to give readers crumbs and when to completely destroy us. The plot was so well crafted that I genuinely forgot this was a debut novel because the storytelling felt polished, intentional, and addictive from start to finish.

And the emotions??? I went through ALL OF THEM. This book had me stressed, swooning, anxious, screaming, and immediately needing the next installment the second I finished.

⚠️ PLEASE check trigger warnings before reading because this is definitely a DARK romance. But if you love morally gray obsession, layered characters, emotional chaos, and men who would burn the world down for her… ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR IMMEDIATELY. 🖤✨

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I will now be impatiently waiting for book two.

Wow! A must read for anyone who loves a dark romance/fantasy with a strong FMC that has two strong MMC's that will protect her at any cost! Ellia is a famous world wide pop star singer who has been left for dead by her then boyfriend & best friend she has known since their young school days. Her threat isn't over because the ex & her former bff are trying to finish what they meant to do that day on the mountains. This story will keep you going with it's twists & turns along with the spiciness that is extra spicy. Check your trigger warnings before reading. I love how each character is written where you really get to feel what each one is about individually & how they're all together. Jaxon, who has been with Ellia as her top security guard introduces her to his best friend, August & the love 3some begins! This is a 3 book series, "The Scattered Souls Trilogy". Book 2 will be out on 8/8/26 & book 3 will be out 11/11/26. I love how we don't have to wait long to start the next book in the series. Especially with the "OMG" , "What? I can't believe it!" Cliffhanger of an end! I Highly recommend this entire series 💜 🖤

This was my first read by Ashborn Raven, but I’m definitely going to be reading more-starting with book 2 of this trilogy. The pacing in this book is tight and addictive, pulling you through chapter after chapter without ever feeling rushed.

The character development is excellent—Ellia is a complex FMC with a lot of trauma, secrets, and jagged edges, and every time you think you’ve finally reached the heart of her story, the author peels back another layer you didn’t see coming.

Our MMC’s, Jaxon and August (yes, it’s a delicious reverse harem, MFM novel, no crossed swords ) balance her in completely different ways, each fulfilling needs she’s never been allowed, or allowed herself, to voice, and I swear if either of them gets sidelined, shut out, or sacrificed in books two or three, I will absolutely mutiny.

The blend of action, tension, raw emotion and trauma, and delicious spice keeps the pages burning, and that cliffhanger? I’m hanging on by my fingernails, already itching to dive into the next book the minute I finish typing this review.

As always heed the trigger warnings, but I highly recommend this novel. It’s well worth the read!

Ellia
She is a famous singer who has a bad motorcycle accident that leaves her scarred emotionally and physically. She is on a healing journey throughout the book.

Jaxon
He is the head of her security team. He is obsessed with her and also the one who found her after her accident and kept her alive.

August
He is a rugby player and Jaxon's best friend. He is also in love with Ellia.

What happened to her wasn't an accident and a year later, the people responsible are still not found. And as the story goes on, we realize that we don't know all about what happened the night of her accident. The three of them keep secrets from each other thinking it's better that way. One after the other, secrets are unraveled.

I liked this story. I like how protective they are of each other. The book finishes with so many secrets left unsaid and a huge cliffhanger.

Some quotes from the book that I particularly liked :
"I will stitch and piece every part of her until she is whole again."

"I want to crack her open and pull her inside me, beneath my sternum, where nothing could ever touch her again."

I received an ARC copy from the author and my review is voluntary and honest.

First make sure to read the TWs as this book does have them.

From START to FINISH Die Alive had my attention! Ashborn had me in my feelings with not only the FMC but the MALE characters too!

The FMC is a rockstar who has to overcome some dark events that’s happened. She’s extremely strong in all sense of the word with everything she’s been through.

There’s not ONLY one BUT TWO well could be THREE men in her life that means the world to her. They would do ANYTHING for her. Especially when it comes to protecting her at all costs!

I’m not wanting to leave any spoilers 😏. Just know the moment you start reading you will want to read til the end….i will tell you there’s a cliffhanger but don’t worry Book 2 is not far behind!

This is a dark, emotional why choose story. It’s definitely a roller coaster of emotions. Secrets, obsession, protectiveness, betrayal, spicy and so much more!

This is a MUST READ!

He falls first... and he falls hard. And it isn't long before the others fall too. ❤️‍🔥
This was my very first reverse harem romance, and I absolutely loved it! It was such a refreshing change from the usual one-man-many-women dynamic, and I was completely hooked.
Watching Ellia grow and heal from her past trauma made her character development one of my favourite parts of the story. Her journey felt emotional, authentic, and incredibly rewarding.
And Jacob... what can I say? He is EVERYTHING. Fiercely protective, completely obsessed, and willing to do anything for Ellia. Honestly, who doesn't love an MMC—or in this case, multiple MMCs—who are possessive, devoted, and all in?
Then came that ending... and now I desperately need book two because I have to know what happens next!
If you're looking for a reverse harem romance with obsessive protectors, emotional healing, and a cliffhanger that will leave you begging for more, this one is definitely worth picking up.

I received an advance copy free of charge of Die Alive and this is my honest review. Die alive pulls you in from the jump, knowing very little of what’s going on or the main characters story, you are sucked in by a motorcycle accident that leaves Ellia in recovery both physically and mentally for more than a year. From the beginning of the book you are trying to figure out the, who, what, when, where and why of it all. Then we meet the body guard professional to a T, but restraint takes all of his will. The tension between the two feels real and not forced. Ellia wants to be seen and heard but also stay hidden and protected. This book was a spicy whirlwind of emotions, questions, and twists and turns. It captivated me from the beginning. If you like spice, morally gray characters including the FMC, possessive men, and a story that feel like real life instead of a fantasy this book might just be for you!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I dont even know where to begin with my review. I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book. If you like MFM why choose, protective MMC willing to unalienable anyone who puts the fmc in danger while also wanting to give her the world this book is for you!

Ellia is such a strong woman for the trauma she has endured. She shows there is no one way to cope with your trauma and how helpful it is to have a support.

Jaxon is what you could consider over the top protective BUT he has good reason for it as one of her body guards. Hes also willing to do almost anything to bring her bits of joy back to her life.

August is definitely the light in the story. Is he also crazy protective yes but he has more of an easy going personality.

The guys are such a perfect compliment for Ellia. This story really hits you in the gut. The cliffhanger is brutal im so excited the next one is releasing soon!

Die Alive by Ashborn Raven had me enthralled from the first chapter. Ellia is a force to be reckoned with, but her two men, Jaxon and August, are possessive, ruthless, and unyielding. But their shared love for her is different in its own way, but fierce and unforgiving. I love that these men will do anything for her, but ensure that she is protected no matter what.

The suspense in the events in this book makes it hard to put down and easy to get immersed in the story. This is one of my favorite things about this book: it's never what I expect to happen and always keeps me thinking. With the easy-reading writing style and the suspense, I could not put this book down!

If you love dark romance with touch-her-and-die vibes, morally gray MMCs, and intense chemistry, this book is absolutely worth the read. The next book in the series is Kill to Breathe, and let me tell you, I'm excited to start this.

Kill to Breathe releases 08/08/2026, and you're not going to want to miss this!

I loved Ellia and how much we got to learn about her throughout the book. She has been through a lot, and I liked watching her slowly start to heal and find herself again. There’s more to her than what you see at first, and I liked all the little things we found out as the story went on.

Jaxon and August were probably my favorite part though. They’re so different from each other, but I liked both of them with Ellia. The chemistry between the three of them was really good, and I liked that their relationships didn’t feel rushed.

There are also SO many secrets in this book. I kept thinking I had things figured out and then something else would happen and I’d be questioning everything again. I had a few moments where I was like, wait… what?

This one does get pretty dark and emotional, so be sure to check the trigger warnings before reading. But I liked the way the heavier parts were handled, especially when it came to Ellia’s healing.

The memories of that night are gone, when they come back…how broken will she be? Can it get worse? An accident or not? For a year he watched as she struggled, but he was always there. Waiting. They both were.

Jaxon and August are best friends. One Ellia’s security guard and the other a hockey player. Ellia is a singer, but has so much more depth, more than they even knew. You can see their relationships changing throughout the book as the secrets come out.

Michale and Robyn…I have no words.

The author did an amazing job of setting the scenes so you cannot only get a picture of the surrounds but see how the characters interact.

There is spice, emotion, mystery and so much more! The ending!! Anxiously waiting on book two.

I received an advanced reader copy and this my honest review.

Loved this book and looking forward to the 2nd! 4.5 stars (if only Goodreads allowed half stars) Ellia, a female artist recovering from a major motorcycle accident, has to regain her confidence and find herself with the help of her Body Guard and his best friend. She is a bad a$$! There’s more to her than just being a singer. The body guard is fierce in his lover for her, not allowing anyone to get close without warning. The best friend is an Australian rugby player fell for her the moment he met her. After a year of hiding it’s time to come back out to the public. Jaxon does everything in his power to keep her safe but the people who tried to kill Ellia, have they reappeared? Or is there a new threat?
🌶️🌶️🌶️ - things do get spicy between Ellia and her guys. Despite the spice, the plot does move.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 - as the trilogy continues, this may go up.

Oh my god! This book had me in a chokehold so bad, I could not put it down.

Die Alive is beautifully written, I felt like I was right there with Ellia and the guys. You felt every tension, emotion and feeling between them. Its dark, hauntingly beautiful and very intense.

I couldn't help but feel drawn to Ellia, August and Jaxon, their strong personalities, vulnerability and mutual obsession. Ellia is a bad*ss FMC who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to speak her mind. Jaxon is fiercely protective, obsessed and irresistibly dark. August seems to have golden retriever vibes with something darker and possessive underneath. I adored all of them and enjoyed seeing different events unfold from each POV.

That cliffhanger! I need book 2 immediately.

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy 💜

I am not sure how to rate this book I will be honest I DNFed this book and maybe it's on me which is why I am writing a review. I want to start off by saying this author has a beautiful way of writing very poetic. But I just wasn't connecting with the characters. I hate walking into a book that already has established relationships. One of my favorite parts is relationship building In books but I feel like That relationship has already been building and I've missed out on it. Ellia is broken and extremely traumatized and it is extremely difficult to write these stories to have the right connection between the characters without it being rushed and that's how it was feeling to me. That being said this author has a beautiful way of writing so maybe down the road I will give them a chance again.

This book was beautifully devastating in the best way. A fantastic dark romance book, and I cannot wait to see what the other books in the series have to bring to the table! The storytelling in this book made me go through all the feels. Our FMC, Ellia, is literally becoming a phoenix, forging herself from the ashes. With everything that has happened to her throughout the book, she comes back stronger, forging herself into a weapon no one saw coming.

Our main MMC’s Jaxon and August are the best of both worlds. You’ll get Jaxon, who is complex, methodical, the beast in the shadows. Then you get August, your down-to-earth man who is a ray of sunshine but also knows what to say and do for those he loves.

The ending to the book left me speechless and absolutely ecstatic. I was an ARC reader for book 2 because I needed to know what happened next ASAP!

Do you want suspense? Spice? Why choose? Or maybe a secret life? Die Alive is it for you. It is a dark romance with a little bit of everything thrown in and honestly I am here for it! Ellia struggles after a year of healing to get back to a normal life all while fighting the demons that put her there. Jaxon and August are best friends that fell in love with the same girl all while being there while she was broken. Together they are running from her past in order to put an end to those who put those nightmares in her head. Ellia is holding onto some secrets that she will share with both men, will they still want to be with her? Ellia is strong and is a woman of secrets that wants to do nothing but put an end to the people who hurt her. This is book one of three and I can't wait to see what happens.

Die Alive, the debut book one in the Scattered Souls Trilogy by Ashborn Raven is a slow unraveling of secrets between the MCs. Ellia is a rockstar who is recovering from a motorcycle accident that wasn't so accidental. Jaxon is her bodyguard, and the one who found her after her accident. August is a rugby player and Jaxon's best friend. Both men are in love with Ellia, and all three are keeping secrets from each other. As secrets are revealed throughout the story, relationships evolve and character interactions change. I can't say much more without spoiling the book, so I'll just say that if you enjoy lots of spice, morally grey characters, emotionally-driven MCs, suspense, why-choose romance, and a cliffhanger ending, you'll devour this book!

I would absolutely recommend this book. It was a five star read for me. If you love a slow burn, dark romance, with several deadly sexy men, and delicious spice with soul shattering events. This book is for you. I love how the Author describes things in detail. You get to know the characters and what they have been through first. And some of it is soul crushing and hits hard. This book keeps you on your toes, and makes it hard to put the book down, cause you want to know what’s going to happen next. I love the characters and their development through out this book. I’m super excited for the second book which I have just started and have an ARC for. Stay tuned. I think this next book will hit me a lot harder.
