Despite the ridiculous title and cover art, this was shockingly good! Like, I was literally shocked. I’ve skimmed a few of the books in this series, and this one is worlds away from what I’ve seen previously.
Spoilery thoughts…
I loved how the FMC burned everything to the ground immediately. It was truly an epic scene! There is absolutely no second chance happening here. I do wish we had a few POV chapters from the OG MMC and sister. I really want to know what the hell their plan was, and would have loved to see the betrayal aftermath from their perspectives.
New MMC and daughter are perfect. Side characters are lovely.
One note, this author has a weird thing with bodily fluids during sexy time. It was a little much. Okay, a LOT much. Things like ‘wet fabric squelching faintly with each thrust’. For the record, I’ve just learned I hate the word ‘Squelching’. They must be dehydrated a lot.
Anyhoo, a solid read. Definitely had me raging and laughing a few times. A good combo!
I want to make this quick because I have a free afternoon and I want to be reading not writing reviews. The title and cover are ridiculous, but it was much better than I expected.
The book opens with Sam getting married and finding her fiancé/husband has been sleeping with her twin sister. (all in the blurb) The rest is her moving on to greener pastures.
The good- 📗I gobbled up the betrayal and aftermath. Sam is no doormat. 📗The upgrade✔️ cute kid✔️ 📗 Likable MCs, I wish there was an epilogue. These books seem to always just end. 📗Even though I was pulled up occasionally with writing issues, it wasn’t a huge deal. I think most readers won’t even notice. 📗I LOVED that she did not give the guilty parties a pass. Let me repeat that because authors so often give the shitty villains forgiveness because I think they think it makes their main characters look all mature and kind, but it makes them look WEAK. Forgiveness is for you and does not require you to allow the person access to your life… SO I LOVED that she stuck to her guns and cut the poison from her life. 👏👏
The Not-So Good- 📕The middle slowed down and got a smidge boring. I needed more relationship building with Tyson and Sam. It’s a slow burn without the build if that makes sense, so it's dry without a ton of anticipation. 📕There were some writing bits like forgetting how old Tyson was 35 then 33. A few incorrect names. And some things that had an ai-ism feel to it like… “We document everything. Every call, every flower delivery, every attempt at contact. And He grabbed my arm, fingers wrapping around my wrist with possession. Not violent, just holding. Claiming. And Garrett signed the divorce papers. All of them. No amendments, no conditions. Clean signature.”
Bottom Line- I liked it. Some parts were great, but other parts were very slow. I like the OTT dramatic parts, but the human connection was missing for me. We were told that Tyson and Sam had awesome chemistry by we were shown chapters of home renovations and spinning wheels. When they finally got together it was 0-I’ll never leave you in a snap when they’d barely even had a meaningful conversation. I never felt like the characters were deep enough to get invested in, so when I’m told stuff like…
“I love you, Sam. I’ve loved you since you showed up next door looking ready to fight the world. The confession hung between us, simple and devastating.
I don’t “feel” anything because it’s just dramatic words without the buildup of feelings behind it.
This was pretty fun. I liked the bad ass part of Sam, who played the recording of the infidelity at the wedding reception. I cheered when that happened. It was a sweet story and of course, I loved Noa, the five year old and the single dad, Tyson, with his protective ways. I like that Sam had a backbone and the wherewithal to hide a second phone in her bra. The fact that not all was forgiven in the end was also amazing. I agree with Nikki, though. The sex scenes were really too gratuitous and didn't need to be so graphic or numerous. The whole tone of the story changed when I read those and ngl, I kind of paused on the story, not wanting the storyline to become a never-ending line up of sex scenes, which gave a bit too much detail for my liking.
The overall read was pretty satisfying and I enjoyed the humor throughout the book. Totally recommend this!
These books are basically the literary equivalent of a telenovela marathon your grandma accidentally leaves playing for fourteen straight hours while somebody gets slapped into a swimming pool every twelve minutes.
And somehow? I eat them up EVERY TIME. 😭
Because yes, they are all vaguely the same: ✨ wedding/anniversary/vow renewal ✨ cheating husband/boyfriend/fiancé ✨ betrayal by sister/best friend/twin/random female relative ✨ dramatic public exposure ✨ heroine fleeing to a small town/friend's house/private island ✨ emotionally available replacement man/billionaire/best friend ✨ suspiciously quick healing via home renovation/new business/crafts/makeover
And yet this one was honestly one of my favorites in the series because the Hallmark energy afterward was kind of delightful. Was it realistic that she bought a fixer-upper in Tennessee overnight and immediately fell in love with a rugged contractor single dad neighbor? No.
Did I care? Also no.
Because after listening to her husband and pregnant twin sister hooking up THREE HOURS after the wedding vows???
That woman deserved: ✨ peace ✨ drywall repairs ✨ a handsome man with tools ✨ and a porch swing healing era
Let's get started.
⚠️ SPOILERS BELOW ⚠️
Okay so this entire book is INSANE in the exact way these books always are.
The story starts at the wedding reception.
The vows have been said. The photos have been taken. Everybody’s emotional. Soulmates blah blah blah.
And then the bride goes upstairs to change into her second reception dress and hears… NOISES. Bad noises. Cheating noises. And lo and behold: her husband is upstairs hooking up with her PREGNANT TWIN SISTER. THREE. HOURS. AFTER. THE WEDDING.
I’m sorry but that level of audacity almost deserves scientific study. And what makes it even worse is that the sister has apparently been sleeping with him for HALF the relationship. HALF.
But honestly? The heroine handled this in the funniest possible way.
Because instead of bursting in dramatically, she quietly records the audio on her phone while they talk trash about her during sex like two actual supervillains.
Then she calmly walks back downstairs to the reception. Waits. Meanwhile downstairs her twin/MAID OF DISHONOR gives a heartfelt speech about soulmates and true love. Actual demon behavior. The Bride lets her twin finish giving this emotional speech.
AND THEN PLAYS THE RECORDING FOR THE ENTIRE WEDDING.
INCLUDING: ✨ friends ✨ family ✨ coworkers ✨ business associates ✨ literally everybody and their ancestors
I SCREAMED. 😭 And then the pregnant twin fakes a faint because of course she does.
These books LOVE a dramatic fainting woman. Anyway our heroine immediately says: “Actually I hate all of you and I’m leaving.”
Which was refreshing because usually these books spend eighty-seven chapters with the heroine crying into curtains and collecting more evidence while the cheating husband explains how cheating “just happened.”
Not this one. This woman buys a fixer-upper in Tennessee IMMEDIATELY. Like a true Hallmark heroine in crisis.
And naturally: the house is falling apart, the plumbing explodes, nothing works, BUT obviously next door lives a rugged contractor single dad with an adorable daughter. Because apparently Tennessee zoning laws require this.
And honestly? The rest of the book basically becomes: “emotionally wounded woman heals through renovations and flannel.” Which I enjoyed greatly.
The contractor MMC was sweet without being too perfect, and his daughter was one of the few “cute kids” in these books who didn’t make me want to gently launch her into traffic.
She was actually adorable. Meanwhile the ex-husband spirals HARD.
This man: ✨ sends creepy roses ✨ leaves creepy notes ✨ stalks her across creepy state lines ✨ drinks constantly ✨ loses his job ✨ becomes fully unhinged
All while somehow STILL insisting: “Baby please it didn’t mean anything 🥺”
Sir. You slept with her TWIN SISTER for years! AT SOME POINT IT MEANT SOMETHING.
And then we get the absolutely bananas reveal that the baby the twin is carrying??? ISN’T HER HUSBAND’S. IT’S THE EX-HUSBAND’S BABY.
I swear these books spin a wheel labeled: “additional emotional damage.”
And honestly? I appreciated that the twin’s husband eventually decided to adopt the baby anyway because weirdly enough he ended up being one of the more decent people in the story.
The bar was in hell but still.
Then the stalker ex finally goes fully violent, attacks her in an alley, and thankfully our heroine had apparently been taking self-defense lessons with Hot Contractor Man™ so she’s able to fight back long enough to be rescued.
Which honestly felt very: ✨ Lifetime Movie ✨ Hallmark ✨ Criminal Minds ✨ Lowe’s Home Improvement commercial
All at once. And then the MOM. OH MY GOD THE MOM.
Because apparently she knew about the affair the entire time and kept quiet because: “ignorance is bliss.”
Ma’am. YOUR DAUGHTER MARRIED HER STALKER CHEATING BROTHER-IN-LAW. WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE???
And then she has the audacity to be like: “you should forgive your sister because family 🥺”
NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.
And then immediately dies after saying it, which honestly felt emotionally manipulative even from beyond the grave.
Anyway.
The heroine goes back to Tennessee, finishes renovating her house, falls fully in love with Contractor Daddy™, and they get their happy ending.
And yes.
I am about 94% sure this ended with pregnancy because these books ALWAYS end with: ✨ babies ✨ healing ✨ rustic kitchens ✨ emotional support lumber
But honestly?
I had a good time.
Was it ridiculous? Absolutely.
Did it feel like Hallmark after somebody accidentally added infidelity, stalking, and family betrayal? YES.
Will I probably read another one? Fortunately for you, dear reader, also yes.
I actually liked this one. Whoa boy, her own twin sister had been shagging her fiancé/husband for 2 years. 😱😱 She only discovered the betrayal on her wedding day- after she already said “I do” then the cherry on this 💩- the twin is 6 months pregnant. Oh yeah, and twin is already married to a guy named Joel.
I loved that the MFC shook that whole wedding party up by dropping the audio of them, then went peace out.✌️ I laughed hard. Some good quotes from h
“She’s faking,” I said into the microphone, my voice conversational. “Just like she faked that Garrett’s dick is impressive. Trust me, I’ve seen it. Felt it. Nothing to write home about.”
“But hey, at least now I know why you saved her as ‘2’ in your phone. Because she’ll always be second choice, right? Second place? Second rate?” ——- I also liked the new MMC and his kid. Sweet. I enjoyed the descriptions of that awful house she bought.
I had a hard time understanding why the fiancé and the sister would try to reconnect with her. Idiots Then the fiancé becoming a stalker and kidnapper was just out of left field. Also, the nerve of h’s mom trying to get h to forgive her sister. No way. That witch needed to be burned with 🔥 I was shocked Joel is still with her and is raising the baby as his own. I guess it’s sweet, but the sister suffered NOTHING
The biggest issue I have with this author is all the squelching she uses for ummm smex. And gushing liquids. *shudder*
Example
“He obliged, hips snapping faster, cock pistoning in and out of my dripping cunt, the obscene squelch of my arousal coating him, dripping down to soak the sheets.”
“Juices gushed around him, soaking us both, my vision whiting”
Ok, the first part is just ick. To have your pregnant twin sister bang your brand new husband during the reception is just too dang tacky!
Once the FMC drives herself to Tennessee it gets much better. Because her next door neighbor is not only a contractor but he’s a hunk, and he has Noa, his 5 year old daughter. And I fell in love immediately. It was the tutu and rain boots that did it for me.
Anyway the FMC immediately instituted divorce proceedings but the nasty new hubby is not agreeing. And he eventually gets physical…
KU and this is 5 Noa-is-adorable stars. I love how they become a family.
I really liked this one. Heroine moves on to new man. OTT cheating start, heroine moves away and then its really good. Hilarious kid of new Hero, single dad.

I loved this one. Absolutely loved it, different tone to the rest of the series and it was brilliant. The MC’s were engaging and real and funny, I admit to some tears. I felt everything Adam felt and was right there for the threats of arson. But Boa stole the show. One small detail, grandma and aunts names got mixed up a couple of times. But honestly this was my favourite by miles
Amazing story. Sam found her husband and her twin sister having sex during their wedding reception! She doesn't hesitate and implodes her life, her reception and all 250 guest with it. The last thing she expects is to meet Tyson and his darling daughter and the way her life would change with them, their family and a whole town in her life. Highly recommended
New H and his golden retriever attitude ! His family and friends. And most of all - his daughter. She was so funny !!
Also liked how the betrayal was in the very beginning. No dragging out and spending A lot of time in past events 👌🏽
Some confusing 🫤 things which is keeping me from giving a rating :
- During storm she went there because power went out. But then they watched tv and lost power. Did it go off ? come back on and go again. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Why did H marry her ? 🤷♀️ 2 years with sister and he said he was going to tell the wife after the wedding. If he liked sister so much why the wedding ? I thought originally it was for money but he came from money so that wasn’t it. 🤔
Second time she met Patrick it was written like it was the first. But he went to her house prior and helped witn restraining order.
Ending part when her ex was beating her , she has. back up phone ,?? When did she get one of those ? ❓❓❓⁉️
It is stated that the Phone both evidence and that she would need a new one. but then she takes one ☝️⁉️
Why did her mom gave Sophie’s wedding pics at her house ? They married for few hours and now divorced. Odd 🤔🤔🤔
Sisters rational for sleeping with her husband didn’t really feel realistic but that is just my opinion 😬
Her mother knowing for two years was brutal 😬😬😬🤯😱 and allowing her to still get married without knowing. Unforgivable!
Yes it seems like I have picked a lot of faults in the story. But it was a good story and kept my interest. It was entertaining!

A diamond in the rough... This was such a good book. It was well written and entertaining as hell. It had your angst and FMC not wollering in pain, but burning her cheating husband and sister before taking off to Tennessee. This part is even better than the beginning. Loved it all from beginning to end. I also agree that the cover art should definitely be judged, not the book though 😉
The book starts on Sam’s wedding day. She see’s her husband getting a text right before, and something tells her that it’s not quite right. She continues on, but when walking down the aisle, she see’s her 7 month pregnant twin sister - and maid of honour, looking at her husband ‘funny’. They get through the vows, meanwhile, the husband is still receiving texts, and then disappears. Sam is going to find him (they are in a hotel) and she hears her new husband and her sister having sex….she opens the door and gets a front row seat.
The sister is saying things to her husband, like, ‘I’m better in bed than her, you wish it was me you married’ and he’s going, ‘yes, your so much better and I already regret marrying her’. Little do they know that she has started recording 🎬🤳🏼
She leaves and waits until the speeches, and after the one by her sister, where she wishes her all the happiness in the world, Sam starts her own speech. She asks the dj to play a song on her phone for everyone to hear…..except, it’s the audio of her new husband and sister having sex.
All hell breaks loose. Her sister’s husband is in shock, everyone at the wedding is in an uproar, taking videos and pictures, family yelling back and forth, the husband freaking out.
She leaves and as she is walking out, she asks her mother how long she knew about the affair (because her mother had a weird look when Sam asked her where her husband was, right before she caught them).
Her mother tells her that she has known for 2 years. Fucking devastating. Not only that, but her sister’s baby may actually be her husband’s (guess what?!? We find out later it is! Her poor husband).
I am shaking writing this because the betrayal is so brutal. Apparently some of the family knew and her mother actually tried to encourage her to stay and ‘work it out’ with the husband, as in, it’s okay, your dad had affairs too, boys will be boys and all that.
Sam is absolutely devastated, with nowhere to go, no plans, her phone is blowing up, the video’s are online, the husband is texting her to ‘work it out’, the sister is blaming her for telling everyone….neither the sister or the husband ever take accountability. Instead, they blame Sam for making it public and how she’s so selfish, they could have dealt with it privately….blah blah blah.
She hires a lawyer and goes home, gets on her husband’s computer and finds 2 years of email, messages, photo’s, hotel receipts, gifts, etc.
Made me sick to my stomach.
She drives 7 hours away and buys a cottage in Tennessee (yes, within 24 hours).
Let’s just say, the drama with her family isn’t over, but there’s a hot new single dad (construction contractor) next door who is willing to help her through it 😉

If this story truly is AI created, then authors do indeed have a lot to be worried about AI taking over the industry. I don't think this story is created by AI though. It felt like a genuine story written by a real person, and it had a bit of everything. There's cheating, there's drama, there's evil character villains, there's a believable story, that has some humor sprinkled into it as well. And the story is a full length novel. If it's true that this story was written by a real human, I feel very bad for this author for the way she's been vilified and witch hunted in the Facebook groups.
I enjoyed this story a TON. It definitely has an on page cheating scene between the husband and the sister of the bride, ON HER WEDDING DAY. Talk about a kick to the gut. The story takes off from that point, with the heroine outing these shitty cheaters in an epic way, then leaving the state to get away from everyone who knew about the infidelity.
The heroine in this story was a badass. She dusted herself off and never once contemplated going back to that cheating fucker she had married. The cheating husband and the sister were both slimy pukes. The husband got his comeuppance, but the sister kind of skated on Karma. I wish she had been dealt a harsher karmic justice.
Sam found a REAL man who was protective and caring, and he came along with a sweet little daughter who won me over in this story.
Aside from too many sex scenes (for me), I enjoyed this one a lot. If it had been up to the FB witch hunters, I'd have skipped this one completely. I'm lucky enough to have a good friend who read this awesome story and rec'd it to me, and I'm happy she did.
Alright....I have read several of the books in this series so far....and hands down...this one is the best. Sam was a strong FMC she did not stay. The whole wedding scene.....chefs kiss. The petty revenge was fabulous. And Tyson....swoon worthy he was in it from first look. And Noa, sweet. Hilarious little Noa!!! I was laughing out loud at her antics. I loved the relationship between her and Tyson (dad), and her and Sam. I loved his whole family, and truly wouldn't mind a whole series on that town with cameos of our happy chosen family. Her twin can literally kick rocks. The only issue I had was a few names were incorrect, there were a few times that it said "Aunt Delia" when it should have been "Aunt Rose" or "Grandma Delia" but that is small potatoes in the grand scheme of errors. I think the story was quick, fleshed out, and kept me reading. Never did I want to put it down or dnf. There wasn't a lot of repeat phrasing, as in some books where the main characters just keep being wishy washy or just responding with "okay". I would have liked an epilogue of maybe Tyson and Sam's wedding and it being more of a small outdoor event with just close family and friends from town (and Jess) So I definitely give this 4 stars. Took 1 off for the errors.
Story was just okay. Sam finds her husband with her already married twin at their wedding reception and gets immediate retribution. That was absolutely great. Things that followed no so much, with the house buying. Sam meets Tyson and his five year old daughter when she moves in and Tyson’s conveniently in construction to fix up the dump she bought. There was instant chemistry and fast track relationship. Keith was overwritten. Drama created with no substance. Contesting a divorce that probably could’ve been annulled in the first place. It didn’t go beyond the wedding reception. Three-year-olds don’t wonder if someone knows what they look like. Had it been a question five-year-old Noa asked, would be believable. It was nice to meet you, Mrs. Collins? I would rather Tyson not have said anything, but walk out of the room. Sam’s mother was also a POS, so no, no nice to meet you. What was with the best friend that was never at anything? Would say she would come, but then Sam would say no? No way twin’s husband is adopting child of the man two has spent two years cheating on him with and was caught at his sister in laws wedding. That’s was idiotic. Also it requires consent from the other parent which no way POS actual father would agree.
This book was better than expected, and yet it still had many issues with it. The ridiculous title is the first, obvious issue, and the image on the front is clearly AI crap.
I'm on the fence as to if the book itself is AI. There were so many inconsisitencies and just problems with things, but then the writing a good portion of the time is OK. Sure, there are writing issues with "squelching" (ewww), but for the most part things weren't bad.
After having just finished this book, my biggest issues is her sister. She supposedly did all those things because she never had to face the consequences of her actions, and yet she still didn't face them this time, either. She still has the baby, even though her husband is divorcing her. What I don't get is that he is adopting the baby, though, if they are divorcing.
There weren't clear timelines going on. She was supposedly with him for 4 years, but then suddenly it was 7 years once they were divorced. Their ages weren't clearly defined, either.
I don't know if I would recommend this to others. I won't read it again, though.
Second time reading this author, and this book was such an improvement over the first one I picked up.
I really enjoyed how quick, easy, and smooth the writing felt—it pulled me in right from the start after seeing a Facebook excerpt, and I ended up flying through the whole book.
Sam and Tyson were such a sweet pairing. I especially loved Sam’s strength—she didn’t just accept her husband’s betrayal and move on quietly, which made her really satisfying to root for. Tyson was equally lovable: kind, supportive, protective, and completely devoted to Sam. Watching their relationship grow felt natural and genuinely heartwarming.
Noa (Tyson’s daughter) was a standout for me, and I really liked the side characters too—especially Tyson’s family. They added a lot of warmth to the story.
I’d honestly love to see more from Cedarbrook as a setting. Patrick and Finn Calloway definitely deserve their own stories.
Overall, a really pleasant surprise and an enjoyable re
My Husband Betrayed Me at the Altar for My Twin Sister was about 29-year-old Samantha "Sam" Collins, the owner of an interior design business, and (age unknown) Tyson Calloway, the owner of a construction company.
On the day Sam married Garrett Cain, she found him in a hotel room with her married, pregnant twin sister, Sophie (during their reception). Sam exposed their affair to all of their guests before leaving them behind. She contacted a divorce attorney and filed for a divorce. Before leaving town, she collected her things from the house she and Garrett had bought together, and destroyed all the photos of them together.
This was an intriguing story of betrayal, revenge, and love found with someone new. It had plenty of angst, drama, and an emotional rollercoaster that was full of twists and turns.
Both main characters were well developed and mature, with plenty of room for growth.
I gave this 3 stars because it was so interesting.
This is very much a case of don't judge a book by its cover. I very nearly didn't read it because I thought it was going to be AI written based on the really bad cover and title. I'm glad I gave it a shot as shockingly, it was pretty fun. It has a quite predictable plotline but Sam was a great FMC who turns out to not be a walk over! The writing is actually pretty good (the s*x scenes are a bit cringe) and the dialogue is actually pretty funny. There's some inconsistencies that do bring you out of the story but they're not massive. It was an all round decent book and I had a great time reading it.
Edited to add- ok I've taken it down a star as I actually do think it's AI written which is quite scary as it didn't read badly at all. This is the 7th book in a series, if you look at the publication dates the first 7 were released within a 2 week period. Really disappointing.
Lived Sam & Tyson. Noa too! The spider scene with Noa had me laughing so hard that I HAD to screenshot and send it to one of my friends who hates spiders! LOL she totally agreed with Noa, by the way.
Sam is one of my new favorite characters now. Her strength and resilience was amazing. I loved the witty banter between her and Tyson.
Tyson is the perfect compliment to her character and I’m so glad he got his HEA!
This had all the feels and the humor to take away from the betrayal and sadness.
Only a few errors in the book but not enough to disrupt the reading. One was toward the end “Auntie Delia” instead of grandmother.
I know she book ended how it should have but I am a bit curious on how the ex and Sophie ended up.
All in all I do recommend this book. It made my heart hurt, made me laugh out loud and made my heart full as well.
I absolutely loved this book and could not Put it down .Sam is getting married to garret ,but after the ceremony she finds him with her very pregnant twin sister and she decides to record the moans and groans of passion and makes sure the wedding guests have something to talk about .Sam just ups and leaves and when she sees her very handsome hot neighbour Tyson with his little girl Noa it's more or less love at first sight for them both .Theirs some hassle with her ex but Tyson makes sure to be in hand.I loved Tyson and his family and Sam was just a brilliant character ,it was funny and I laughed at her revenge .This is the best book I've read in a while
Ms. Corvi has a really good story here. There's a betrayal by family with all the heartbreak that entails. A real surprise when Sam finds out that her mother knew and still let her marry the jerk. That devastated her. Then she starts new in a different state but is plagued by her ex and sister accusing her for the trouble that follows causing fear and more anguish. The only bright spot is her new neighbor.
The characters are real and you can feel Sam's devastation and then slowly see her rebuilding herself. Noa is an absolute gem and being 5 she speaks her mind and tells it like it is.
My Husband Betrayed Me is a good read and I hope to read more by this author.
This wasn't bad, in the sense that the fmc gets a new man and a start over chance. The problem with AI written books, is that there is a lack of feeling all throughout the book, lots of metaphors, lots of tell vs show, over flower repetitive prose, there are missed chances for details and emotion, there are inconsistencies like the new mmc is 35 in one chapter and 33 in another, and that's just one of the many I caught. Would have liked an epilogue, would have liked to see how things looked a few years on and the ow doesn't get comeuppance at all, what is that???
Didn’t make it past a quarter of the way. Skimmed a little further then gave up. Spoiler alert: Husband cheats on new wife on their wedding day, at the wedding venue. Has been for two years. With her twin sister. So h files for a divorce. Which H refuses to grant and fights. Aside from every other painful aspect of this storyline, the obvious and logical thing would have been to request an annulment. Ample grounds. Doesn’t need approval by offending party. Done. Story’s over. One could only wish.
This story was a page turner and easy to follow. The story brings you along on the (new) couple's journey. There is a Happily for Now ending with chosen family. There is some steam within this story.
The quotes I got from this book were: “Forgiveness isn’t about letting someone off the hook. It’s about putting the knife down so you stop cutting yourself.”
“You don’t ever have to forgive whoever hurt you. But you do have to stop carrying them with you, or they’ll take up all the room where the good things are trying to grow.”
This was more about her starting over and not the betrayal part, which is fine. These books tend to drag the betrayal part out more. Quite a few mistakes, mixed up names, story plot. Has a slight suspicion of AI but reads well enough to doubt AI was used as well. The cover of the book is one of those AI generated ones and all those books carry the suspicion of AI involvement. The kid was cute. This was an ok read. Would like to have had an epilogue though to find out what happens to everyone in the future.
Loved this book of betrayal, revenge and moving on. Sam is the MFC and she caught her twin sister with her husband at the wedding. Sam took no BS . She finds a place in Tennessee and moves away from her toxic family and soon to be ex-husband, the cottage she buys needs some serious renovations. Good thing her hot single dad neighbor is a contractor. He is the cutest thing, gets embarrassed by his mom talking to her. I loved him so much. This book was great.
Found it high jacked on a pay by chapter app, knew it was too good for it so I googled the general gist and found it here. Picked it up and read it all in a few hours. Simply wonderful. You will get wrapped up in the dynamics of twins, daughter and mother relationships, weasly fake alpha types who eventually show their true colors and true alpha types that are solid yet vulnerable through out the story and a lead female who ebbs and flows through turmoil, heartbreak and death to rise above and find her HEA! Pick it up and buckle in, it’s a quick journey but so worth it!
