My Adopted Dog is a Lycan King Shifter by Zola Lore is the kind of paranormal romance that embraces the impossible and makes every minute of it entertaining. What starts as an innocent act of kindness—adopting a stray dog. She believes is an injured dog—quickly transforms into a passionate love story when the “dog” is revealed to be a powerful Lycan King hiding in plain sight. What begins with an act of compassion quickly spirals into a world of Lycans, hidden identities, dangerous enemies, and an unforgettable romance.

What starts as an unusual and intriguing premise quickly transforms into an emotional, heart-pounding love story filled with longing, loyalty, and undeniable chemistry. The romance is the true heartbeat of this novel. Watching the relationship unfold between Sabine and Slade are both tender and intensely passionate. Their connection grows through trust, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion, making every romantic moment feel earned rather than rushed.

The paranormal world is filled with pack politics, hidden identities, and high-stakes conflict, but it’s the growing trust and unwavering devotion between the main characters that truly steals the show. If you love alpha heroes who would do anything for their mate, heroines with big hearts, and romances that blend magic, suspense, and plenty of swoon-worthy moments, this book delivers exactly that. Beyond the romance, the novel offers an entertaining world filled with shifter lore, pack rivalries, hidden secrets, and enough twists to keep the pages turning.

storyline inconsistencies galore!!

These books had such potential to be good, but the story inconsistencies were really hard to get past. In some cases it changed the background of the story and in others unrealistic things happened. The last book they were trapped in a blizzard for seven days when he shift to human. She clearly says she has no close that would fit him but in the next chapter he has jeans and a tshirt. Ugg that is just one example of how the story just wasn’t consistent and it really took away from the overall story for me.

Had me hooked from the beginning. The tension of Sabine finding an injured wolf to having cute scenes when the wolf is recovering. While the separation was harsh we got to see that Sabine had a village. She was not alone compared to Slade who seemed to only have his best friend as a confidante. Lily their daughter was who really brought the emotions and common ground to the second chance Slade and Sabine had. Great story overall with a cute kid and found family.

Rescue

18+, XXX. Adult content, reader discretion advised. Adopting a rescue does not normally end with a naked individual in your living room. This is Sabrine's story. How she refused a wolf. How she rehabilitated a wolf. How she ended up with a naked man in her living room. We can extrapolate, in this summary, from the naked man how she ended up with a daughter. How he returned four years later and begged for redemption.
