Lights. Camera. Second Chance.

Miguel Espinoza
My first mistake? Falling for a celebrity. The second? Ending our secret relationship after four years together. When the pressure became too much, I hit my breaking point and left. The only way I’ll get over Graham is by moving on. But he shows up with flowers, sweet talk, and reckless determination. As he sweeps me away again, I forget all the risks of loving someone famous…and the reasons I ran in the first place.

Graham Kingston
I’ve never shied away from a challenge. When my perfect man joins a dating app, the decision to split my focus between him and my directorial debut is a no-brainer. I’m used to leading a double life. How hard could it be to run a film production in one time zone while chasing down a stubborn man in another? Miguel is mine. He just needs a reminder. And if my plan to win him back fails, I’ll burn the script and try again.

Burn The Script is a companion book to the Runaway Hearts series and can be read as a standalone. This dual timeline, MM romance contains mature themes and content intended for age 18+ readers.

Ok, so this is the story I didn't know I needed. I am such a fan of the Runaway Hearts series and Miguel and Graham have been a fixture throughout so I'm so happy we got their story.

Graham and Miguel dated in secret for four years, Graham is an actor and made the decision when he was young that he would hide his sexuality to meet his goal of directing movies. Miguel has no desire to be in the bright public spotlight. When this book opens they have been broken up for a year and Graham is desperate to get back together with Miguel and Miguel is half-heartedly trying to move on.

I loved this love story so much. This is told in past and present timelines and I think that made the book that much better. I loved getting to see how Graham and Miguel met and how they fell in love and then seeing them in the present timeline fight to make it back to each other. I loved how OBSESSED Graham was with Miguel from the very beginning, I loved how he was charmed by Miguel's black cat tendencies. I loved how both of them loved the other exactly where they were, neither wanted to change the other (well Miguel did want Graham to be a little less messy) My heart broke for Miguel's past and how hard he had to fight to overcome it and the work he put in so he could be with Graham.

I was super excited to get glimpses of my favorite ladies from the Runaway Hearts books, I love the found family these friends found with each other.

You could definitely read this as a stand alone, but I highly recommend reading the first 3 books in this series first, you get some great context for Miguel and Graham and they are just really great books!

This was such a beautiful love story and definitely should be added to your tbr!

Just like Miguel and Graham, I fell hard and fast, couldn’t get enough of this one.

I think this is my favourite JB book yet, it was a wonderful read, full of swoony, sweet moments; raw and real emotion and all the love!
I truly couldn’t put it down! Absolutely loved
their love story and how the author told it.

I adored Graham and Miguel both as individual characters and as a couple. They had so much personality and heart, it was easy to get sucked in. Their journey was uplifting and a touch heartbreaking, but knowing we would get the HEA at the end made it that much sweeter.

I loved watching them fall in love from the start, go through their bumpy patches and how they found their way back to one another. Graham was so full of life and passion-he was genuine with his feelings and open from the start. His care for his friends brought a smile to my face. He isn’t perfect, but tried so hard and that was the best!
My heart hurt for Miguel so much, his past and mental struggles-but boy was I so proud of him for fighting so hard to heal! His journey was relatable and realistic which added another layer of depth to the book.

It was easy to see they were perfect for each other, there would never be anyone else. They have cute, playful banter, completed one another, worked as a team to support when issues arose, the connection was instant and their chemistry was spicy!!

This story is told in a duel timeline- the layout of it-Obsessed! It turned out fantastic, was so much fun to read that way and flowed very well. I didn’t want it to end!

*although this is a standalone, I recommend starting with the Runaway Hearts series where we first meet Graham and Miguel as side characters.

Okay, so right before I finished this book, I went back and read all of my reviews for the first three books in this series. In my very first review for All I Want, I talked about how happy I was for Graham, so I was really excited to finally get Graham and Miguel’s story.

I really loved the dual timeline. I enjoyed seeing how they went from meeting, to falling in love, to breaking up, and eventually getting to where the story ends in the present day. I will say, much like the other books in this series, this one was a very slow burn, but it absolutely paid off in the end. I don’t know what it is about this author’s books, but those last 30–35% of her books, always have me holding h my breath waiting for what happens next.

I loved how both Graham and Miguel loved each other in exactly the way the other person needed. I was also obsessed with how obsessed Graham was with Miguel, especially with Miguel’s black cat energy. I really loved the dynamic of their relationship

Obviously, I loved the Tatum and Maisy pop-ins because I really do enjoy this friend group dynamic, and how they did hesitate to jump in when the other person or persons needed something

I’ll end by saying this series was absolute perfection. I’m not sure what’s coming next from this author( ** cough Marcus or Judge cough**, but I already can’t wait to read it! lol

I REALLY liked this book...
The dual time periods was done so well. The entire book had such a good flow... I wish I could truly describe how it made me feel.. it was effortless... I was tearing up by the end, only because I was done with the story. I loved Miguel and Graham.

I didn't read the Runaway Hearts series... I know the author mentions to get more of Graham and Miguel to read there... I just am not able to get into M/F stories anymore... I've tried and just end up DNFing. M/M has ruined me for anything else!

With that said, I feel the ending was rushed and that I needed more. In a selfish way, yes, because I didn't want to be done with Miggy and Graham but... something about it just felt incomplete. It's still a 5 star read for me.

****4.5 stars****

This is one of my absolute favorite series. I loved that Graham & Miguel got their own story. They are messy and lovely and perfectly written.
Miguel was so relatable and I could feel his anxiety and insecurities through the page, but all of his best qualities also shown through too.
Graham was also relatable but in completely different ways and I loved loved loved how much he accepted and loved Miguel.
It was fun to see characters from other books pop up and I’m super excited to see whose stories are coming next and hoping I’m right about who it may be!
Run and go read this whole series, especially this book!

One word.... OBSESSED!!!! I loved Graham and Miguel since book one but their book may have kicked Rock and Lucy out of my favorite couple spot. Due to the timeline this could be read as a standalone but I recommend reading after All I want and Run to Me because I think you appreciate their journey so much more when you see it through others eyes. Their love is so sweet but also heartbreaking at times and you just want to give them a hug. Thank you J.B for bringing their story and the amount of times I laugh thinking of the stalker scene probably has me looking crazy but what can you do.

"Our chemistry is sweet. I could get addicted."

Dual timeline? Second chances? Yes please! I loved Miguel and Graham when I met them in Run to Me and continued to love them in their own book. I loved seeing them fall in love and find each other again, I think that's my favorite thing about a second chance dual timeline, you get to watch them be in love twice. 😍
