Rosie Proctor has spent twenty-two years being good. Good grades, good behavior, one very specific secret she's kept since she was sixteen. Knox Callahan is her father's oldest friend—forty-two, built like authority made flesh, silver threading through his dark hair in a way that has never once looked old. He's been at every important moment of her life. He's been careful. He's been decent. He's held the line with both hands for six years.
Tonight she graduates. Tonight she's done being good.
She finds him alone in the hallway at her graduation party and says one word. Daddy. His hand hits the wall beside her head. His voice goes rough. Don't call me that unless you mean it.
She means it.
He takes her home, lays out the rules—three meals, a check-in text, no other men—and makes one thing very in private, it's always Daddy. The rules aren't punishment, he tells her. They're proof he's paying attention. Knox Callahan has been paying attention for twenty-two years. He's done pretending otherwise.
The only problem is her last name. And the thirty-year friendship he's about to blow up to keep her.
"I'm not starting something new. I'm naming something that already exists."~Knox😍

Rosie Proctor, 22, has just graduated college. This good girl is ready for more. She's needs something else. Or rather, someone. Her eyes are staring hard at her Dad's best friend, tall Knox Callahan, 42.😘😘 I'm surprised that no one noticed her drooling at her party, except for her bestie Maya.🤤 Rosie could barely contain herself.ha! This is her chance to make her move, to make her intentions known, and to kick start her plan. Rosie approached him, fumbling, but she pulled him in her home whispering one single word to Knox. Daddy.🎆🧨🤯🧨🎆 That girl went for it. Knox got feisty and turned on by Rosie. He's like say whaaat?! What did you sayyyy to me? For him, it's all or nothing. And I mean ALL with requirements, scheduling, check lists and expectations. He calls it caring and taking care of Rosie, I say up to a point dude. Now it's called control, alpha dominance, with her complete consent and doing everything he requests of her. To make it work? I guess.lol🤷🤷🏼♀️🤷🏽♂️ She calls him Daddy during their alone times. Always.
The storytelling has improved. There's a couple of times that Knox would mention knowing Rosie all of her life but it didn't spin it's wheels there for too long. Which makes their relationship not feel as yucky or weird for me as a reader. The characters personalities grew and became 3 dimensional with tons of heat and naughty times. It gets smutty and clingy.🌋🥵🌋 I get that Rosie is in lust. Knox has been watching and waiting for her for 6yrs and now that he has her, this is it for him. I wanted him to change the repeat dirty talk. Say something different. Change it up, guy.🥸🤹🏽♂️
As for Rosie, this is her first relationship. She has dreams, her job, but sometimes that got pushed away for Knox. She's 22, and I wondered what would have happened if a real issue had come up. There's one incident, she took her 'punishment', and said she's a good girl who understands her mistake and what a sincere apology feels like. That's great but wouldn't this incident be for something drastic instead of a missed text? Knox could be too much of a my way or no way kind of guy. There is a power dynamic in this relationship.🪢⚖️🪢⚖️🪢
Please don't share with Rosie's Dad, Sam, about his daughter calling his best friend Daddy. Ughhhhh. Noo. Have some discretion, Knox. Don't be an ahole!!!😩😱 No respect. Near the end of the book, the timeline didn't make sense. It glared off the page. For the world building to work, the time has to match. *Slight spoiler* They were together secretly for a month after her graduation, then they tell Sam. Then six and a half weeks later Knox proposed.💍 The story then read they were married. When did that happen? What wedding? Then it's been another six months. Six months. How?🧮📈🤨🤔
Despite certain things, I enjoyed the story. Rosie always says yes to everything.🤣🤣 She's likable. Knox is okay, just too picky and demanding of his relationship with Rosie. I believe it's love, their way. I like the book cover. If you like an age gap Daddy kink, this could work for you. Happy reading. *•>§<•*💘💘💘

She said one word. He stopped pretending he didn’t want her.
The Elevator Pitch: A good daughter with a secret desire finally reaches for the man who has spent years refusing to cross the line. He answers with rules, restraint, and a kind of devotion that turns forbidden want into something far harder to deny. But when secrecy starts becoming permanence, they’ll have to decide what they’re willing to risk for a love built on trust, surrender, and control.
After Piper’s recent run of Omegaverse romances, complete with heats, knots, and rutting Alphas, it was honestly refreshing to dive into something more grounded: a classic age-gap, dad’s-best-friend romance, and even better, one that skips the usual overblown drama. Rosie has been quietly crushing on her father’s oldest friend, Knox Callahan, since she was sixteen. But she’s always played the role of the “good girl,” following the rules and meeting expectations, until the moment she decides she’s done holding back. Knox, for his part, has spent years keeping his distance, unwilling to cross that line, not just out of loyalty to his friend, but because of their twenty-year age gap. That restraint doesn’t stand a chance for long. The turning point comes when Rosie corners him in a hallway on her graduation night and whispers a single word: Daddy. From there, the tension snaps. Knox pins her to the wall with a warning growl—don’t say it unless you mean it. And she absolutely does. What follows is a dynamic that really worked for me. Rosie has long imagined what it would be like to belong to Knox, and I loved how that plays out, not just in attraction, but in trust. She looks up to him, responds to his authority, and flourishes under his care. Knox’s rules aren’t about control for its own sake; they’re about attentiveness. They show he’s invested, that he notices her, that he wants her safe and cared for. And yes, when she pushes those boundaries, he doesn’t let it slide. Their relationship builds steadily, with one looming complication: telling her father. I appreciated that they didn’t drag this out or hide. It would’ve been the easy route, but instead they faced it head-on. Even better, her father ultimately puts Rosie’s happiness first, which added a satisfying emotional payoff. That said, a couple of things pulled me out of the story. Knox’s dirty talk gets repetitive pretty quickly. By the second or third round of the same phrasing, it started to lose its impact. And the timeline toward the end? Genuinely confusing. Rosie announces her pregnancy six weeks into their marriage, but then the next chapter set eight months later suggests she only told him two months ago and is just starting to show. The math doesn’t quite add up, and it’s distracting enough to break immersion. Still, those hiccups aside, I really enjoyed this. No third-act breakup, no unnecessary angst, just a relationship that grows deeper and more solid over time, without ever tipping into feeling taboo. A satisfying, steady romance that delivers exactly what it promises. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This short story is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, sweet and spicy, father’s best friend, age gap, contemporary erotic romance between Rosie, the female college graduate, and Knox, the male lead. I enjoyed Rosie’s initiative and her determination to reach for what she wanted. I applaud Knox’s earlier self-control and his determination not to initiate due to issues of appropriateness. I enjoyed his certainty about what he wanted in a partner and his patience in waiting for her. I enjoyed the intimate scenes, even though this is not my favoured dynamic. I enjoyed the happiness of the characters at the end.

If you love a spicy, age gap (20 yr), your fathers best friend love story.. this is it! This was a very easy read, and a very cute story line, but also gave me the chills as well. We see a lot of other stories with age gaps that are more obvious than this story. What is the craziest part of this story was that Rosie approached Knox, which we do not usually see, after graduating college (now that she was finally an adult). We later find out Knox was attracted but did not want to act on it unless Rosie did first (eek!). After reading this, I was expecting Rosie's father to throw more of a fit than he did, but that just shows how must he trusts his 30yr friendship with Knox.

This is very much short, spicy, taboo-ish romance with heavy age-gap + “daddy” k!nk vibes.
She has been playing it safe her whole life, then decides she is finally going to act on what she has been feeling for her father's friend. He is an older, dominant, intense alpha who knows exactly what he wants—and it’s her.
The whole thing is fast, bold, and very insta-connection—like it jumps straight into tension and doesn’t slow down. It’s less about plot and more about the dynamic, power play, and heat, but there is a happily ever after.

Yes, Daddy is a short high heat novella that follows the forbidden love of Rosie and Knox. When the story begins we see Rosie and her friends at her graduation party. Which means she is now 18... and can finally go after the man she really wants. Knox. Knox has always cared for Rosie but never acted on the feelings he had. This forbidden age gap story ends on a high note and honestly, it was a quick read. I enjoyed the overall story.
If that's what she wants then that is what he's here for! Another short and steamy story that will definitely keep you entertained. The writing is smooth and we're getting right down to the point.
She has wanted her dad's best friend for a long time and now is the time to test him.
He answers just fine. In control, barely restrained and knows just what he wants. He has her on track like she is used to as a student, only this is a whole other set of rules. Steamy fun.

'Knox Callahan has been paying attention for twenty-two years. He's done pretending otherwise. The only problem is her last name. And the thirty-year friendship he's about to blow up to keep her. He's already decided she's worth it.'
The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

A delightful age gap story. Rosie knows what she wants, even though she has never been in a relationship; what she wants is her father's best friend, and she doesn't make it easy for him, but Knox makes it clear: if you want me, you'll get me. Knox knows exactly how to handle Rosie and adheres to certain rules, keeping a tight grip on things. Even though she is his best friend's daughter, that doesn't stop him from going for it and putting his friendship on the line. A short and steamy story.

Book 1 of the Yes, Daddy series, this is about Rosie and Knox. One word changes their dynamic and gives them the greatest joy. I like that they face challenges together, no hesitation.

I love the story and the spice for sure. The time line inconsistency is killing me though! I need it fixed. It is driving my OCD wild! If you can get past that though i enjoyed this short very spicey read. A good little pallet cleanser between dark romances or tension/ stress filled romantacies.
This was a super hot and spicy story. Knox and Rosie are definitely compatible. I thoroughly loved the fact that Rosie's parents were supportive of her life. Knox was also very supportive and loving.

This book was incredibly sexy and well-written, with a captivating plot that kept me hooked from beginning to end. The characters were also very well-developed, and I found myself thoroughly enjoying my time with them.
Honestly, a little disappointing. I have read several of Piper’s books now, and this one wasn’t very exciting. It was also very repetitive on the spicy scenes.
