A wonderful read, comprehensive story with wonderful characters and a plot that is totally riveting
Charlotte is living with a man that likes to dress her up as though she is nothing more than a doll, and he also treated her cruelly actually punishing her severely and cruelly if she had even as much as a hair out of place.
When his ship had been boarded by pirates, he had simply turned his wife over as collateral so that he would be able to escape, he had no interest in whether they would kill her or keep her or to do whatever they wanted he had not given a damn he simply cared about himself.
Rakham is determined that he will find Sterling he will ensure that this tyrant that has treated Charlotte so terribly would feel his revenge, then he would own the Doll and he is determined to teach her to be so much more sh deserves to start living a life of her own.
Charlotte is totally out od cinque with Rakham, she ants to trust this man but she has known no real kindness and she finds it nearly impossible to trust.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Captain Rakham Stormjaw — an orc pirate feared across races, from humans to dark fae. His backstory is one of real loss: the murder of his crew and found family at the hands of a dark fae tyrant. When Rakham finally gets his revenge, he also takes the man’s captive bride, Lady Charlotte Ashbourne, who suddenly finds herself traded from one captor to another.

Charlotte’s arc is one of the highlights. She starts as a frightened human noblewoman but slowly begins to see the difference between cruelty and protection. Her dynamic with Rakham has tension, growth, and that rough‑edged tenderness that works well in orc romances. Watching her step into who she could be, rather than who she was shaped to be, gives the story emotional weight.

My lower rating comes from a few elements that didn’t land for me personally. There are moments involving another woman showing interest in Charlotte, and those scenes leaned into interactions I don’t enjoy. They weren’t graphic, but they pulled me out of the story and felt tonally off compared to the rest of the narrative.

Charlotte is married to a man who dressed her as a doll and punished her cruely if she wasn't perfect. Then a bad business meeting and they are boarded by pirates. He tries to buy his way out by offering his still pure wife.
Rakham is after Sterling, the man who literally owns Charlotte. He has been searching for him. He killed some of his crew and he wants revenge. he gets it and the Doll.
Now he wants to teach and train her to be something other than a doll. He will build her up then break her to make her whole.
Charlotte feels out of place and can't understand why she has all these upsetting feelings.
The reader is taken on a journey of discovery and growth as a woman who has been hurt heals. The psychological growth is longer but the reader watches as healing happens. A most fantastic story to read.

This emotional story is Charlotte a human who is married to Sterling who demands a perfect Doll-like wife, any mishaps Charlotte is punished. They're traveling by boat when they're boarded by pirates. Sterling offers Charlotte to their leader Rakham an ogre who been looking for Sterling to enact revenge for killing his crew. What occurs afterward as Charlotte is taken by Rakham and beyond was an engaging story as Charlotte realizes she didn't trade one monster for another and grows emotionally strong in this enjoyable story I'd received and volunteer to read and review.

Has potential

I loved seeing Charlotte grow into her own person. I loved the romance and the crew's banter and also found family aspect.
I give this 3.5 stars because it needs a lot of editing. Some points are disjointed. There is a part early on where the pov changes briefly and was confusing. There was a part where it seemed like a total repeat of a scene earlier.
The last half felt like there was more to the story that was cut but needed.
I would love to see a revision of this because I loved the world building and the character building. It just needs some polish.

Charlotte was taught to be nothing more than a doll, perfection, by her husband. If she didn’t do something right, she was punished. They were boarded by pirates when they were out in the open waters. Rakham took his revenge on her husband for killing some of his men. He took Charlotte as well. I loved the way he taught her to be more than what her husband expected her to be. This was sweet and steamy. Intriguing, and a very enjoyable read.

The Orcs Pirate Doll

Wonderful! I really like it. I bet there were creeps just like Sterling. Pure butt heads. This has chivalry, action, blood and romance. The “Doll” learns to be tough and destroys everything that kept her a prisoner of her own life. I hope with their new rescue, there will be another book coming out. Hope it’s soon!

Needs editing

Overall the story is great. But, there are a few spots that are exact copies of the previous paragraphs. Needs to be proof read, again.
