The White Indians of Nivaria; The Untold Story of the Last Stone-Age Indo-European Tribes

Rate this book
Guanche Indians, the natives of Tenerife island who were an indigenous band of Stone-Age troglodytes that also practiced mummification, constructed ceremonial pyramids and were custodians of an ancient spiritual legacy from the distant memories European pre-history.

An improbable but true story of white natives living in the wilds of 7 rocky volcanic African islands in a post-Neolithic eden (later known as the Canaries) for several thousand years, this was one of Western Man's most western outposts of antiquity.

A concise ethnographic study of this subtropical island kingdom and the white Indians who lived there prior to the Spanish invasion in the 15th century, details of this indigenous white man's world include 13 chapters of hard anthropological science relative to Guanche culture, language, burial, cosmology and origins....and 1 chapter dealing with the Canary Islands as a likely stepping-stone to America by pre-Columbian mariners such as the Phoenicians and Sumerians. A missing link to a pre-historic past and a mysterious connection into a spiritual lineage somewhere beyond the western edge of your dreams on some tropical Atlantic island paradise inhabited by the children of your ancestors.

With an increasing interest in primitivism and earth religions many of us find that the selection of available literature on this subject nearly always excludes books about light-skinned natives, not only because there are so few of them, but mostly because their Cro-Magnon cousins (European colonists) have supposedly caused most of the world's problems. The very notion that some Europeans could have had a long history of tropical island habitation, only ending just a few hundred years ago, is always relegated to the category of fiction. This web site and book are dedicated to dispelling the misinformation about this subject in the hope that the Guanches can assume their rightful place in Western history as the last Stone-Age white culture on earth, something that needs be be taught to children in schools all over the world.

Very interesting history

Loved the read. Did not know much about their history. Small book with great illustrations. A must read whether planning on visiting canary islands or not.

Woefully outdated. Superseded by modern genomic studies, with misapplication of the designation "Indo-European". The Indo-Europeans (an Iranic people), while they existed as a recognizable group or groups, were never blonde and blue eyed. That is a holdover from Nazi pseudoscience that falsely posited the existence of an "aryan" race. Genetic analysis of archaic DNA suggests Yamnaya (Indo-Europeans) of the warrior class were dark haired, with prominent hooked noses. Additionally, though some may have trickled into Europe during the Neolithic, the great majority of Indo-Europeans entered Europe by cart during the Bronze Age. No matter how far west they may have penetrated, and no matter how isolated the areas (or islands) the Indo-Europeans colonized, they did not "go native" or revert to earlier lifeways. What they did was to revolutionize lifestyles and languages all across Europe EXCEPT in the most isolated places.
This publication is worthless drivel. If any of its subjects' descendants are still alive, a genomic study might prove interesting. They might descend from Proto-European aboriginals. More likely their bloodlines were African, with a historical admixture of modern European genes.

The White Indians of Nivaria presents a simple overview of pre-contact Guanche culture, religion, and ancestry. It doesn’t go into much depth, and everything the author says seems to be true even with newer genetic research (although I couldn’t find more info about the blond pre-Columbian Andean mummies; if they exist hopefully someone does a DNA test). In the Q&A he criticizes esoteric Graham Hancock-esque theories about the Guanches as post-Atlanteans or refugees from a collapsed 10,000-year-old advanced civilization. On the other hand, he does believe that Guanches are descendants of explorers from ancient Egypt or a similar civilization, who brought their culture, religion, architecture, etc. to the Canaries and further west to America, seeding the civilizations of Meso and South America. This history (for the Guanches’ ancestors at least) seems close to true, as they had livestock and seaworthy boats.

Kennedy’s vision of the Guanches as the last white men living in Eden is romantic, but the book is not very evocative. The Q&A at the end is in some ways the most interesting part, and the whole book could have been a PDF.
