Bailey Howard’s life is about to take a turn… for the better, she hopes! But Stuart Renly, her creepy teacher, has other plans! ***** Warning: This novel features a female protagonist (a student) living in a small town. She confronts a dark and disturbing man who engages in kidnapping and murder. Underlying everything is the protagonist's budding new romance. If you read or watch psychological thrillers, this free book will start you off in my series of creepy people novels.
I write creepy suspense novels. My "good" characters are regular people. My "bad" characters are irregular people. I'm currently working on a series of stand-alone books featuring villains who engage in stalking, abduction, and murder. Each of these books feature a female protagonist who must overcome her creepy villain while simply endeavoring to live her life. The first book is Creepy Teacher. The second book is Creepy Neighbor. The third book is Creepy Janitor. The fourth book is Creepy Landlord. The books do not have to be read in order.
3 1/2 stars. Not quite 4, but almost. I enjoyed the story. The teacher ( Stuart Renly) was very creepy. Showing up uninvited , unannounced at an event that the students put together , who does that? This teacher does. He became obsessed with Bailey early in the school year and wanted her for himself. Imagining what she does in the shower, glimpsing at her chest while in class among other things he did, he became more obsessed.
Knowing he couldn't quiet have her, he went as far as hiring an escort .. That didn't go as he had planned.
The idea for story was good.
One thing that I didn't like was some parts seemed rushed through.
This is a good read that could use a bit more filling out of the story that could make this shot story more of a novella., but all in all the story is a good one. I was torn between a three or four, but the book did keep my attention and I enjoyed it, so 4 stars won. Stuart Renly is a teacher and for Bailey Howard, not a good one. She doesn't like the way he looks at her or talks to her. Unfortunately, neither Bailey nor her friends now just how demented their teacher really is. The author does a good job with the characters in this book and telling a story I think readers will like.
I chose this book because of its interesting title and synopsis. It did not let me down. This one creepy disturbed teacher. This is a good, but brief story that all keep you on your toes. I just wish it had been a longer.
The best thing I can say about this short story is that it left me wanting more. I know you're suppose to use your imagination but I think it's incumbent upon the author to develop the story more.
