Time Fiddler is a graphic novel about a high school grad named Samantha Fiddler. Feeling crappy about losing her job amongst other things, she decides to meet with her friend Katey to go and find a stray cat, only for Sam to suddenly find herself transported to Late-Cretaceous California. While exploring her new surroundings, she’s saved from attacking troödons by a young and mysterious time traveler."It's modern day, Bay Area, Alice in Wonderland meets Jurassic Park!" - Zoya Street, Editor of Memory Insufficient
Originally read this in its webcomic format at work, as we were hunting for local artists to invite to our Comic Arts Fest. Enjoyed it even more in print. Minimal illustrations in a manga-influenced drawing style. I love the full-color art, especially the cover image of the second chapter where Sam is kitted out in their 1880s clothing and Carol is lounging about. I liked the concrete aspect to the time travel, much like the Doctor Who accessories. The slow building of relationships throughout time is also a pleasant aspect that I hope continues as the series moves on.
