III. If I could give this book more than five fucking stars, I fucking would. This book was a roller-coaster of every goddamn emotion that is out there. The yearning they have for each other - good gods. Knowing they put each other into danger because their life is so dark and twisted, yet they can't let go of one another. Nat, the bratty girl that you are - just like me - and I love you for this. Adrien, the cocky, cheeky, and yearning man that you are. I can't help myself but smile and giggle every time you say something.

Vermillion Vows absolutely ruined me in the best possible way. The chem between Nat and Adrien? Actually insane. I kept telling myself “one more chapter” and suddenly it was 4am and I was staring at my ceiling rethinking my entire emotional existence.
The characters feel so raw, messy, desperate and loving, and the romance had me giggling one second and genuinely stressed the next. The yearning in this book should qualify as psychological warfare.
Alexandra N. really put her whole soul into this book because WHAT the fuck was that emotional rollercoaster. I need everyone to read this series immediately and don’t want to speak to anyone who hasn’t until further notice. Also I’m going to need book 3 ASAP because idk how long I’ll survive without it. Kisses!💋

In this book, we have to look back to the very beginning, when Natalya and Adrien met at ages 9 and 10 (respectively).
Adrien arrives at a new house with his father for a new job, and there he meets Natalya. What he doesn't expect is that his father will abandon him there.
Natalya and Adrien's relationship develops from the first day they meet, and we see them go through all the ages until they are 19 or 20. We see how Adrien is forced to do all sorts of dirty work (since, unfortunately, he doesn't have papers) and how Natalya is kept away from all of that.
From the age of 13, Adrien has known that he wanted to marry Natalya; he practically worships the ground he walks on. In fact, all his tattoos are drawings of her. We see how he patiently waits for years until Natalya decides to take the plunge and finally realizes that she feels the same way about him... what can I say? It's absolutely everything. THE YEARNING GIRLS !!!!
But what can you do when you find out you might lose the person you're in love with? The idea of faking their deaths is the most viable option, but... it's still not believable.
Adrien believing that about Natalya... I'M DEVASTATED. I NEED THE THIRD BOOK NOW.

I liked this even more than book one. It’s way more emotional, intense, and just so painfully yearning it genuinely consumes you while reading and even after you finish.
I loved that we got Adrien and Natalya’s story in this one. It was so nice seeing their relationship develop and watching them grow, but at the same time it felt really raw and obsessive in a way that just pulls you in and captivates your attention from the first chapter.
The whole book has this dark and brooding vibe with an oddly attractive amount of violence it was honestly so perfectly done. Brutal and tortured but also completely addictive to read. It’s very emotionally intense and just keeps you hooked the entire time.
The constant push and pull between want and desire vs the restraint to keep him safe is just so addictive I was kicking my feet throughout the entire book. The tension was unmatched. The yearning elite. Just an all round great read!
The ending will make you want to die but in the best way possible!! I’m still thinking about it now and I am absolutely sat for the next one!!
Overall, such a strong sequel I 100% recommend.

Make sure to read book 1 first ..!
This book will break you in so many ways. It shows you how hard Adrien and Nat thought their feelings to be together.
It gives you a bit of back story to Adriens dad, how they went to the Varners house and all of a sudden he vanished into thin air.
What do we think happened?!..
The FIRE between Nat and Adrien 🔥🥵. His obsession with her takes things to an whole other level but when Nat finally gives in its magical.. They have the chemistry and that first time they do the deed 😜damn! Hold on to your seats! .. the way they give into one another, its just hot. Two people fighting that pull until one day the string snaps they let loose..
There's tons of banter, and so much heartache to see how Adrien was treated. You really do just what to give him a massive cuddle. The book dives into how things from book 1 happened and why it happens.

I loved this book so much!!
Just like book 1 in this series, hits the story all the right places. You do have to read book 1 in order to get everything in book 2.
Book 1 is about Kasien and Kiara's backstory and how they reconnect.
Book 2 follows Adriens and natalya's story from how they met as children, how they grew up together, how they fell in love with eachother and ultimately how they lose eachother. In this book you don't get to see their present like how you get a peek at the end of book 1.
I absolutly loved Adrien. He's funny, goofy, a little pinch unhinged but mostly he's the definition of a yearner. He felt affection for natalya the moment he saw her for the first time. He was determined to make natalya his wife when he was a preteen, flirted with her like no tomorrow and the moment Natalya gives in, he doesnt hold back. I loved his bond with Kasien as well, he litterally will do anything for those 2 pairs of green eyes.
I can't wait for book 3!

Wow…. This was a 5 star read ALL THE WAY THROUGH. There is not one thing I did not like about Adrien and Natalya’s story. It was beautiful, innocent, dangerous, dark, obsessive, heart wrenching. UGHHHHH these two are EVERYTHINGGGGGGG.
Natalya and Adrien become close as children and over the years things progress from friendship to something MUCH much more. Outside influences make things dangerous for them but their love only grows, even with the looming consequences.
This is the authors second book release and I just cannot believe how much I love this series!! She writes some of the best spicy scenes and the way their love progresses feels so real.
I need the third book more than I need air right now … 🫣🫠

The Vermilion Series has me absolutely spiraling in the best way possible. After reading vermilion Mercy and falling completely in love with kiara and kasien, and of course… Adrien, this book dives deeper into Natalya and Adrien’s story and this sequel is a masterclass in slow-burn yearning.
I went into Vermilion Vows with so many questions, but Alexandra N. somehow managed to give me answers while leaving me even more desperate for book three! Just when I thought I couldn’t love Adrien more, he completely raised the bar. He is the ultimate "touch her and you die" MMC—dark, possessive, and morally grey, yet a total golden retriever for his girl. (And yes, he makes pancakes. We love a man with range! 🥞)

This book is a beautiful, heartbreaking, tear-inducing masterpiece about two kids growing up in a world of violence and menace, and finding love and safety in each other. Total surprise, Instead of diving right into the aftermath of the first book, we got Adrian’s backstory with the Varners. He’s the perfect mix of cute, cheeky, and kinky, and I am here for his fall first/obsessed energy. The chemistry with Nat is 10/10 and I couldn't put it down. It’s heartwrenching to see them so happy knowing the heartbreak to come. My only criticism is that I need to know what happens to Adrien and nat in the next book (the present) and I need to know NOW. Cannot wait to see how he handles her in the next book. 10/10 recommend this author is going places

Okay so I’m a little speechless after this one cant lie. The yearning, the heart ache & pure love between adrien and Nat was captured so beautifully you are literally feeling every emotion through the pages with them. I adore adrien and his dry humour had me giggling at parts. Be prepared to shed a couple of tears! I absolutely loved reading more about adrien and Nat, what started as young kids becoming quick friends soon grows into something so raw and pure and add in the forbidden relationship 🔥 I am desperate for book 3 🫠🖤🖤🖤

We watch Adrien and Natalya grow and fall in love, and their story is intense, beautiful, and painful at the same time. I enjoyed their story more, even though it hurt to see everything they went through. That yearning was everything 😩
I’m really looking forward to the next book (and I hope it’s the last one, because my heart can’t take it anymore 😂). I definitely need a happy ending for all of them!

Childhood friends to lovers has never hit me this hard before. I just enter this world every time thinking shit can’t get worse and then I see what more of my children have been through and I’m ready to burn the entire world down.
I just know the next book I will have to be sedated because I’ve been through ENOUGH😪

Vermilion Mercy was a phenomenal read from start to finish, and I had highhhh hopes for book 2 as it follows Adrien who is Golden Labrador x Ridoc x Carrion vibes with a bit of mental illness and trauma. WHATS NOT TO LOVE.
Natalya and Adrien’s story is one of the most ruthless, gut wrenching reads where you are begging for a HEA for them. I loved seeing the other side of this world, exploring the POVs of both and seeing what they would do for eachother. The ending brings us back up to speed of Book 1 and Book 3 will be the penultimate ending for the four characters we have grown to love.

I didn’t just love Vermilion Vows by Alexandra N. , it completely wrecked me.
Adrien… my heart still aches for him.
The way his pain was written felt so real, so heavy, that I couldn’t just read it..... i felt it.
He deserved so much more, and that’s what makes it hurt even deeper.
This story didn’t just stay with me… it carved itself into me.
Now waiting for book 3.

This book was so sweet. I love seeing the beginning of their relationship it was so cute. I just wished we could’ve seen the present as well like the first book and what happened after plot twist at the end if book one. I absolutely love it and can’t wait for book three
