Soy muy fanática de la novela negra escandinava, así que no pierdo ocasión de leer libros publicados por autores de cualquiera de esos países y debo decir que, a pesar de las diferencias literarias entre unos y otros libros, la novela negra escandinava tiene su algo que la distingue, así que obviamente esperaba algo parecido cuando vi este libro y tremenda sorpresa me he llevado.
Para empezar, no es una novela negra, es totalmente una novela policiaca de esas que recuerdan perfectamente al género clásico y más concretamente al de Agatha Christie y si no fuera porque esta ubicado en Noruega y los nombres de todos los personajes son más raros que un ratón azul, bien podría haberla escrito un inglés.
Leí todas las notas del autor porque hubiera jurado que en algún punto diría que es gran admirador de Agatha, no me ha complacido, pero no me cabe la menor duda de ello.
Sin ser una copia, si que se nota la influencia, tiene todo el estilo, un asesinato del tipo de habitación cerrada, todos los conocidos cercanos son sospechosos y todos tienen un motivo para haber matado al muerto, no hay arma homicida, no hay huellas y nadie supo ni vio nada excepto escuchar el disparo.
Así pues, Kristiansen un inspector joven y recién ascendido de puesto es quien toma esta investigación, pero tiene una ayuda enorme, una chica en silla de ruedas llamada Patricia, para mí, salvando las diferencias ella es nuestra Poirot en toda la escena, inteligente, sagaz, mente rápida, aunque carente del sentido del humor si que tiene esa capacidad de hacer sentir a los demás que son unos tontos.
La mesa esta puesta, hay crimen, hay sospechosos, no hay pistas y hay una mente brillante que ayudara resolver el caso.
Me ha gustado mucho está novela y a pesar de que está narrada en primera persona, hubo un momento en el que dejé totalmente de darme cuenta del estilo narrativo para meterme de lleno a la investigación, no me equivoqué en mis suposiciones y pude adivinar quien era el asesino, pero eso no lo hizo menos entretenido.
Es notorio que el autor es historiador, hizo un trabajo fantástico al recrear no solo el escenario que es en Noruega en los años 60’s sino también en relatar hechos históricos de la IIGM
Este es el primer libro de una serie, que, hasta el momento, ha publicado diez libros, espero de todo corazón que a la editorial no se le ocurra publicar en desorden los siguientes libros y también que no se tarde demasiado en publicar los siguientes.

إذا كنت من جيل شباب المستقبل فأكيد تعرف دول
و لو متعرفهمش فتعرف دول أكيد
"يتمتع مفتش المباحث "كولبيورن كريستيانسين" بالعديد من الخصال الجيدة بلا شك، لكني لست متأكدة إن كان الذكاء أحدها حتي الآن."
يؤسفني أقول إن ده المحقق الموقر k2 و هو بياخد أفكار و تحليلات و تعليمات من باتريشيا المراهقة الذكية "١٨ سنة" و هي مش من فريق الشرطة او التحقيق لكن مواطنة عادية و قارئة نهمة لروايات الجريمة * زيي أنا و هبة صديقتي كدة*.
بالنسبة للجريمة و الضحية فالمؤلف قدم قصة شيقة بداية بالشخصيات و خصوصا شخصية الضحية، لتنفيذ الجريمة و اللي تبان عادية بس فيها تفصيلة عجبتني جدا .. و بعدها التحقيقات و كذب الشهود و دوافعهم و خلفيتهم السياسية و نشأتهم.
طيب ليه ٣ نجوم؟ لأن في صدف كتير أوي و كأن أوسلو أوضة و صالة و مفيهاش غير البناية دي! 😏 و الأهم المحقق اللي هو أساس التحقيق فاشل للأسف و مش عارفة ازاي يخرج تفاصيل التحقيق و يتناقش فيها مع باتريشيا ده غير انه أغفل تفاصيل كتير جدا في تفتيش مسرح الجريمة أو التحقيق مع سكان البناية.
الرواية مش سيئة و الجريمة شيقة و المتهمين كل واحد له دافع و عنده الفرصة لقتل الضحية. استمتعت جدا بالمناقشة مع صديقتي المحققة هبة و تخميناتنا لمين القاتل و دوافعهم و عرفنا القاتل الحمدلله و تخميننا كان صح و طبعا المحقق k2 عصبنا بسبب غبائه بس الحمدلله قدر و لطف.🤷♀️

سيادة المحقق " كولبيورن كريستيانسين " يتولى التحقيق في أبريل ١٩٦٨ بشأن مقتل الوزير السابق وقائد المقاومة في النرويج ضد الإحتلال النازي إبان الحرب العالمية الثانية...
وجِد قتيلاً في شقته ببناية من طابقين ، عدد ساكنيها ثمانية وزوجة حارس البناية ، وقد سمع الجميع دوي إطلاق الرصاص...
مسرح الجريمة بلا أي اثر لسلاح الجريمة او للقاتل...
كيف استطاع القاتل المغادرة في اللحظات التي بين سماع صوت إطلاق النار ووصول الجيران إلى مسرح الجريمة ؟
الطابق الثاني هو الطابق الأخير لابد وطريقة النزول إما بالدرج أو المصعد...
كما ان المصعد كان بالطابق الارضي ، لم يكن للقاتل أن يتسلل بسهولة أمام زوجة حارس البناية...
على مستوى الحبكة الروائية ، فالعمل لابأس به وذلك بالرغم من تشابك الأحداث والعلاقات بين الشخصيات بصورة لافتة ، ولو كان أي شيء قابل للحراك فإن دماغ المحقق مُعطل وخارج الخدمة....😏
لقد استعان بفتاة مراهقة ابنه أحد أصدقاء والده تتمتع بالذكاء وقراءة روايات الجريمة وقد قادت هى التحقيق من وراء الكواليس ببراعة ، مع إنها ثقيلة الظل بضحكاتها الصاخبة المتغطرسة...ستكون لها اليد العليا حتى النهاية...
لم تكن وحدها من تُملي على المحقق ماذا يفعل ، كنت أنا الأخرى افعل ذلك ، سيادتك لم تفحص الاوراق وتتأكد من صحتها ، لم تلحظ التفاصيل الصغيرة ، لم تلتقط أي من خيوط القضية ، دعك من الفتاة التي تمارس عليك ألاعيبها كما تفعل مع الآخرين...، لا تلمس يد القتيل لكي تتاكد من برودة جسده بعد أن تلقى رصاصة وأردي قتيلاً....
لِما عليك التعاطف مع أي إدلاءات من المتهمين في كل مرة تجري فيها تحقيقاً مع اي منهم...، ولماذا تتقبل إطراء الآخرين لك بشأن تقدم سير التحقيقات وأنت لم تفعل شيئاً على الإطلاق دون ان يُملى عليك...
هنا عمل من الطراز القديم لم يرق لي ، كما العنوان الذي يرى بأن من يعلق في الماضي كالذبابة تعيش في القمامة...
هنا افتقدت فريق عمل للتحقيقات ، المشاكسات الحوارية المرحة ، وتململت لغياب الحدس والذكاء والجرأة....
اجمل ما في هذا العمل محادثتنا انا ونسرينا ، تخميناتنا كانت كفيلة بأن نتولى التحقيق ، وضحكاتنا الساخرة خففت من ثقل العمل ، وقد أدليت بتخمينات قد أصابت إلى حد بعيد إلا أن نيسو أصاب توقعها بشأن القاتل من البداية وكان لها السبق على المحقق 😍
السؤال الذي يؤرقني هل هذه هى الحلقة الأولى من سلسلة طويلة للمحقق بانتظارنا 🤪

"The Human Flies" by Hans Olav Lablum is a cross between a police procedural and a detective novel that takes place in Oslo Norway in 1962. The story is also a locked room mystery.
The newly promoted detective inspector Kolbjorn Kristiansen, known as K2, is sent to an apartment building in Oslo to investigate the murder of a World War II Resistance hero. The victim has been shot in his apartment but there is no sign of the weapon and the front door is locked from the inside.
The inspector is totally flummoxed, when to his aid comes a young woman who is brilliant, partially paralyzed and wheelchair bound. The young woman's name is Patricia who is a brilliant deductive reasoner, yet she can and will not leave her house.
Hans Olav Lahlum is a Norwegian crime author, historian, chess player and politician. Mr. Lahlum credits Agatha Christie for his inspiration. Amazingly enough I have never read any of Christie's books so I can't comment, however, I see just as much influence from Rex Stout, which I have read all of his books.
The book should not be considered Nordic Noir. Luhlum has painted colourfully rendered characters, and the story is told in layers as more and more truth is discovered.
The story is told in first person and I found it fascinating the way it was told.

I’m always keen to find a Scandinavian author to further my obsession with Nordic Noir and Hans Olav Lahlum’s The Human Flies was quite the unexpected treat! An unashamed Agatha Christie-like tale, this is truly a classic whodunnit Norwegian style.
Set in the late 1960s, this is a tale that reminisces the Resistance during the Nazi occupation during WW2. Confined for the most part to the apartment block at 25 Krebs in eastern Oslo, the murder of a well known resident and resistance hero lays the foundation for a web of intrigue that opens up events that have lain undisturbed for 25 years.
Detective inspector Kolbjørn Kristiansen (affectionately known as K2) teams up with young Patricia Borchmann (who really is the brains trust of the pair) to unravel the mystery and solve the crime.
My only criticisms which are intensely personal is that Lahlum doesn’t allow us to dig deeper into either of the main characters (although I recognise that this is not that kind of story), and that Patricia’s character seems kind of out of context in some way.. just a little random for my liking. Nevertheless a great read that kept me intrigued and not difficult to follow the plot as it unravels.

Οι "Ανθρώπινες μύγες" ήταν η πρώτη μου επαφή με τα βιβλία των εκδόσεων "Φανταστικός Κόσμος" και επίσης η πρώτη μου επαφή με τη νουάρ αστυνομική σκανδιναβική λογοτεχνία..Είμαι ενθουσιασμένη και για τα δύο αυτά γεγονότα,δε θα μπορούσα να φανταστώ καλύτερη εισαγωγή,πραγματικά!
Ο Χανς Ούλαβ Λάλουμ είναι το νέο αίμα στην σκανδιναβική αστυνομική λογοτεχνία και το βιβλίο «Οι ανθρώπινες μύγες» αποτελεί την πρώτη του λογοτεχνική απόπειρα, αλλά και το πρώτο βιβλίο της σειράς με ήρωες τον επιθεωρητή ντετέκτιβ της αστυνομίας Κόλμπιορν Κρίστιανσεν και την Πατρίσια Μπόρκμαν.
Σαφώς επηρεασμένος από το ύφος και τη γραφή της Άγκαθα Κρίστι και του Άρθουρ Κόναν Ντόιλ, ο συγγραφέας υφαίνει στο βιβλίο αυτό το καταλληλότερο σκηνικό για τους δικούς του ήρωες, μια ατμόσφαιρα που θυμίζει παλιό, καλό νουάρ: μια πολυκατοικία, ένα πτώμα, όλοι οι ένοικοι ύποπτοι, κανένας προφανής ένοχος. Παρόλο που αρχικά κανείς δε φαίνεται να έχει ισχυρό κίνητρο για τη δολοφονία, όσο προχωρούν οι σελίδες κι αποκαλύπτονται τα ένοχα μυστικά που κρύβονται πίσω από τις οι κλειστές πόρτες των σπιτιών, τόσο πιο ενδιαφέρον αποκτά η ιστορία.
Ο Λάλουμ, εκτός από συγγραφέας, είναι επίσης και ιστορικός, με ειδίκευση στην περίοδο του Δευτέρου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου. Είναι επομένως απόλυτα φυσικό να έχει συμπεριλάβει πολλές αναφορές σχετικά με την εποχή εκείνη στα βιβλία του. Στις «Ανθρώπινες Μύγες» ο δολοφονημένος είναι ένας ήρωας της Αντίστασης, αλλά και όλοι οι υπόλοιποι ένοικοι του κτιρίου συνδέονται, με τον έναν ή τον άλλον τρόπο, με εκείνη την εποχή. Το πόσο πολύ έχουν επηρεαστεί οι ζωές τους αποκαλύπτεται στον αναγνώστη με τρόπο συναρπαστικό, και οι εκπλήξεις δεν σταματούν παρά μόνο στις τελευταίες σελίδες.
Άλλη μια ενδιαφέρουσα πτυχή του βιβλίου, αλλά και απόδειξη του πόσο ο συγγραφέας του αγαπά το ιστορικό παρελθόν, είναι το γεγονός πως η πλοκή του τοποθετείται το 1968. Η αφήγηση είναι σε πρώτο πρόσωπο, κι ο αφηγητής δεν είναι άλλος παρά ο ίδιος ο κεντρικός ήρωας του βιβλίου, ο ντετέκτιβ Κρίστιανσεν. Μέσα από τα δικά του μάτια παρατηρούμε τις εξελίξεις, τα όσα συμβαίνουν γύρω του, το πώς αντιδρούν και τι συναισθήματα έχουν οι υπόλοιποι ήρωες, ειδικά κάθε φορά που μία νέα αποκάλυψη έρχεται στο φως. Και παρόλο που, κάθε φορά που συναντάμε σε ένα βιβλίο πρωτοπρόσωπη αφήγηση, πάντα υπάρχει ένας μικρός κίνδυνος να γίνει αυτή μονοδιάστατη και βαρετή, εδώ σίγουρα δεν υπάρχει φόβος να συμβεί κάτι τέτοιο: η ματιά του επιθεωρητή δίνει άλλη βαρύτητα στην ιστορία, ‘μπάζει’ τον αναγνώστη ολοκληρωτικά στην υπόθεση, τον κάνει συνεργό του ντετέκτιβ και είναι σαν να ζει την ιστορία κι ο ίδιος. Σαν να συμμετέχει στην έρευνα, σαν να είναι παρών σε όλες τις εξελίξεις. Οι οποίες ακολουθούν η μία την άλλη, αποκαλύπτονται απροειδοποίητα και ευρηματικά, κάνοντας την υπόθεση ολοένα πιο περίπλοκη για τον ντετέκτιβ, αλλά και συναρπαστική για τον αναγνώστη.
Η γραφή του βιβλίου είναι εξαιρετικό δείγμα αστυνομικής λογοτεχνίας και φαίνεται πως ο συγγραφέας πέτυχε το στόχο του: ένα καλό νουάρ, που θυμίζει ανάλογα των κλασικών εκπροσώπων του είδους. Μυστήριο, ιστορία, κρυμμένα πάθη και μυστικά, ενοχές, πρόσωπα που κρύβουν το δικό τους σκοτάδι πίσω από το φιλικό τους χαμόγελο. Οι χαρακτήρες είναι επίσης εξαιρετικά καλογραμμένοι, όλοι τους: σ’ αυτούς περιλαμβάνονται άτομα κάθε ηλικίας και κοινωνικής ομάδας, δεμένοι σ’ ένα ακατανόητο ίσως σύνολο, με μόνο φανερό κοινό στοιχείο μια πολυκατοικία, η οποία τους φιλοξενεί όλους. Βέβαια, όσο ξετυλίγεται το ιστορικό κουβάρι της υπόθεσης, τόσο πιο φανερό γίνεται πως τα φαινόμενα απατούν. Ο αναγνώστης θα γνωρίσει πολλές φορές τους ήρωες του βιβλίου, αφού μετά από κάθε νέα εξέλιξη που αφορά την υπόθεση, αποκαλύπτεται μια νέα πτυχή του χαρακτήρα και της προσωπικότητάς τους.
Φυσικά δεν θα μπορούσε κάποιος να μην κάνει ιδιαίτερη αναφορά και στους δύο κεντρικούς ήρωες του βιβλίου, ένα εντελώς αταίριαστο φαινομενικά δίδυμο: από τη μία, ο ντετέκτιβ επιθεωρητής Κρίστιανσεν και από την άλλη η νεαρή, καθηλωμένη σε αναπηρικό καρότσι, Πατρίσια. Ένα δίδυμο γεμάτο αντιθέσεις. Ο Κρίστιανσεν αντιπροσωπεύει τη δράση, τον έξω κόσμο, την καθημερινότητα. Συνηθισμένος να συναναστρέφεται καθημερινά με κάθε είδους ανθρώπους, αναλαμβάνει το πρακτικό κομμάτι της έρευνας. Η Πατρίσια, από την άλλη, είναι το λαμπρό μυαλό – τόσο έξυπνη και διορατική, που μερικές φορές εκνευρίζεσαι όταν ανακαλύπτεις πως ήταν και πάλι σωστή στις υποθέσεις και τις ερμηνείες της. Αποκομμένη από τον κόσμο και κλεισμένη στο σπίτι της, κινεί από εκεί τα νήματα και υποδεικνύει στον ντετέκτιβ ποια θα πρέπει να είναι η επόμενη κίνησή του. Δύο άνθρωποι εντελώς διαφορετικοί, που όμως σε ό,τι αφορά την έρευνα, μοιάζουν σαν δύο κομμάτια παζλ που ενώνονται επιτυχώς και σχηματίζουν την σφαιρική, τελική εικόνα.
Οι «Ανθρώπινες μύγες» είναι ό,τι καλύτερο θα μπορούσε να ελπίζει ένας συγγραφέας για το πρώτο λογοτεχνικό ‘παιδί’ του, και ό,τι καλύτερο θα μπορούσε να ζητήσει ο αναγνώστης, ψάχνοντας για ένα καλό αστυνομικό νουάρ. Ατμοσφαιρικό, συναρπαστικό, ευρηματικό, εγκεφαλικό, γεμάτο ανατροπές και ικανοποιητικές δόσεις ιστορίας, το βιβλίο αυτό υπόσχεται να ικανοποιήσει ακόμα και τον πιο απαιτητικό αναγνώστη.
Ο Χανς Ούλαβ Λάλουμ είναι το νέο αίμα στην σκανδιναβική αστυνομική λογοτεχνία και το βιβλίο «Οι ανθρώπινες μύγες» αποτελεί την πρώτη του λογοτεχνική απόπειρα, αλλά και το πρώτο βιβλίο της σειράς με ήρωες τον επιθεωρητή ντετέκτιβ της αστυνομίας Κόλμπιορν Κρίστιανσεν και την Πατρίσια Μπόρκμαν.
Σαφώς επηρεασμένος από το ύφος και τη γραφή της Άγκαθα Κρίστι και του Άρθουρ Κόναν Ντόιλ, ο συγγραφέας υφαίνει στο βιβλίο αυτό το καταλληλότερο σκηνικό για τους δικούς του ήρωες, μια ατμόσφαιρα που θυμίζει παλιό, καλό νουάρ: μια πολυκατοικία, ένα πτώμα, όλοι οι ένοικοι ύποπτοι, κανένας προφανής ένοχος. Παρόλο που αρχικά κανείς δε φαίνεται να έχει ισχυρό κίνητρο για τη δολοφονία, όσο προχωρούν οι σελίδες κι αποκαλύπτονται τα ένοχα μυστικά που κρύβονται πίσω από τις οι κλειστές πόρτες των σπιτιών, τόσο πιο ενδιαφέρον αποκτά η ιστορία.
Ο Λάλουμ, εκτός από συγγραφέας, είναι επίσης και ιστορικός, με ειδίκευση στην περίοδο του Δευτέρου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου. Είναι επομένως απόλυτα φυσικό να έχει συμπεριλάβει πολλές αναφορές σχετικά με την εποχή εκείνη στα βιβλία του. Στις «Ανθρώπινες Μύγες» ο δολοφονημένος είναι ένας ήρωας της Αντίστασης, αλλά και όλοι οι υπόλοιποι ένοικοι του κτιρίου συνδέονται, με τον έναν ή τον άλλον τρόπο, με εκείνη την εποχή. Το πόσο πολύ έχουν επηρεαστεί οι ζωές τους αποκαλύπτεται στον αναγνώστη με τρόπο συναρπαστικό, και οι εκπλήξεις δεν σταματούν παρά μόνο στις τελευταίες σελίδες.
Άλλη μια ενδιαφέρουσα πτυχή του βιβλίου, αλλά και απόδειξη του πόσο ο συγγραφέας του αγαπά το ιστορικό παρελθόν, είναι το γεγονός πως η πλοκή του τοποθετείται το 1968. Η αφήγηση είναι σε πρώτο πρόσωπο, κι ο αφηγητής δεν είναι άλλος παρά ο ίδιος ο κεντρικός ήρωας του βιβλίου, ο ντετέκτιβ Κρίστιανσεν. Μέσα από τα δικά του μάτια παρατηρούμε τις εξελίξεις, τα όσα συμβαίνουν γύρω του, το πώς αντιδρούν και τι συναισθήματα έχουν οι υπόλοιποι ήρωες, ειδικά κάθε φορά που μία νέα αποκάλυψη έρχεται στο φως. Και παρόλο που, κάθε φορά που συναντάμε σε ένα βιβλίο πρωτοπρόσωπη αφήγηση, πάντα υπάρχει ένας μικρός κίνδυνος να γίνει αυτή μονοδιάστατη και βαρετή, εδώ σίγουρα δεν υπάρχει φόβος να συμβεί κάτι τέτοιο: η ματιά του επιθεωρητή δίνει άλλη βαρύτητα στην ιστορία, ‘μπάζει’ τον αναγνώστη ολοκληρωτικά στην υπόθεση, τον κάνει συνεργό του ντετέκτιβ και είναι σαν να ζει την ιστορία κι ο ίδιος. Σαν να συμμετέχει στην έρευνα, σαν να είναι παρών σε όλες τις εξελίξεις. Οι οποίες ακολουθούν η μία την άλλη, αποκαλύπτονται απροειδοποίητα και ευρηματικά, κάνοντας την υπόθεση ολοένα πιο περίπλοκη για τον ντετέκτιβ, αλλά και συναρπαστική για τον αναγνώστη.
Η γραφή του βιβλίου είναι εξαιρετικό δείγμα αστυνομικής λογοτεχνίας και φαίνεται πως ο συγγραφέας πέτυχε το στόχο του: ένα καλό νουάρ, που θυμίζει ανάλογα των κλασικών εκπροσώπων του είδους. Μυστήριο, ιστορία, κρυμμένα πάθη και μυστικά, ενοχές, πρόσωπα που κρύβουν το δικό τους σκοτάδι πίσω από το φιλικό τους χαμόγελο. Οι χαρακτήρες είναι επίσης εξαιρετικά καλογραμμένοι, όλοι τους: σ’ αυτούς περιλαμβάνονται άτομα κάθε ηλικίας και κοινωνικής ομάδας, δεμένοι σ’ ένα ακατανόητο ίσως σύνολο, με μόνο φανερό κοινό στοιχείο μια πολυκατοικία, η οποία τους φιλοξενεί όλους. Βέβαια, όσο ξετυλίγεται το ιστορικό κουβάρι της υπόθεσης, τόσο πιο φανερό γίνεται πως τα φαινόμενα απατούν. Ο αναγνώστης θα γνωρίσει πολλές φορές τους ήρωες του βιβλίου, αφού μετά από κάθε νέα εξέλιξη που αφορά την υπόθεση, αποκαλύπτεται μια νέα πτυχή του χαρακτήρα και της προσωπικότητάς τους.

Finalizada. Edición digital. Entre bostezo y bostezo he llegado al final de esta novela. Un asesinato (para empezar) y múltiples posibles autores. Un investigador poco espabilado y una joven, en silla de ruedas, que es superdotada, maravillosamente inteligente y desagradable como ella sola. Con este esquema se presenta una novela brutalmente lenta, con unos personajes planos y un desarrollo previsible, aunque el final es un poco rebuscado en exceso. No se me ocurriría recomendarlo, pero lo dejo a vuestra elección. Nota 1/5. FIN.

It begins as a rather plodding Nordic police procedural with Detective Inspector Kolbjorn Kristiansen interviewing each of the potential suspects, the residents of a small apartment block in Oslo, in turn. Another resident, Harald Olesen, a wartime leader of the Norwegian resistance, has been murdered by a person or persons unknown to produce, on the face of it, a fairly traditional locked room mystery heavy on coincidence.
It is enlivened by Kolbjorn's personality: he has an ego as deep as a fiord and insists on telling the reader countless times about being congratulated for his insight and professionalism. However, beneath that ego is a considerable insecurity and self-doubt, which brings in the young lady who becomes his side-kick: the highly intellectual and opinionated wheelchair-confined teenager Patricia Borchmann. Her father is tremendously wealthy and powerful giving her little need to earn a living and plenty of time to satisfy her passion for deductive detection. She is a sort of mix between Sherlock Holmes and a juvenile Miss Marple. She is snobbish, but then so is Kolbjorn, he points out more than once that he is from an upper class family, and full of self confidence. The relationship in terms of police work is fairly silly yet for the benefit of the story it works.
The plot develops well after its shaky start and the true nature of Harald Olesen's personality and past are disclosed and the other residents are all shown to have a connection with Olesen's shady side. Everyone is a suspect and has something to hide but only one of them is a killer. I have to say as a whodunnit working out who did it is not difficult, but that is not the point. The author goes into the murky world of the Nazi occupation of Norway, resistance fighters, and collaborators; how Norwegians coped at the time and how they are still learning to cope with the aftermath of personal choices made during a period of fear and repression. It begins slowly then grows into an intriguing historical crime mystery.

The Human Flies – Simply Buzzing
Hans Olav Lahlum I am told is a bestselling Norwegian crime writer and famous historian, yup me neither. But then with a population of just under
6 million I am sure even I could be famous or preferably infamous as that would be more fun! Well having read Hans Olav Lahlum’s The Human Flies I am sure he will be pretty famous outside of Norway pretty soon. This is a different Norwegian novel besides the usual noir fair there is a clear nod to the great Agatha Christie in the style of the story which makes it quite a pleasant and enjoyable read.
The Human Flies is set in Oslo 1968 and is narrated by the hero and main star of the novel detective Inspector Kolbjørn Kristiansen (he is known as K2) who is newly promoted is called to a murder in an apartment block. This is no ordinary murder in that the victim is a legendary hero of the Norwegian Resistance during the occupation and former Cabinet minister in post-war governments.
There is no clear reason to why he would have been killed and even though there is an ex-Nazi worker in the same apartment block even he was not interested in killing Olesen. But when the ex-Nazi in a suicide note admits to the killing K2 realises all is not right. Fortunately for K2 he has the help of Patricia who is one of the most intelligent and brilliant young women in Norway the only problem is that she is confined to a wheelchair and rarely ventures outside.
K2 and Patricia need to unravel a web of lies that exist in the apartment block amongst all Olesen’s neighbours and the further they delve the more they have to go back in to Norway’s dark history of the Nazi Occupation. The more they look in on the neighbour’s lies the more confused the story seems as they all could have a reason or reasons to kill Olesen. The more they dig the more questions the more interviews take place as they are able to slowly put together their jigsaw of answers.
This really is an enjoyable, very gripping and ingenious mystery in that we are taken to the dark depths of Norwegian history, which ticks all the boxes for a crime novel with deceit, betrayal and revenge. The tactic of using both K2 and Patricia is ingenious K2 is the Poirot to Patricia’s Miss Marple is a big nod to Agatha Christie especially with the reveal at the end as they announce who the killer or killers are. It should not really work but it does and I cannot wait until the next book in this new series is published.

Es descubrir un asesinato en un lugar cerrado y sin móvil ni arma a la vista, en un piso de Oslo aparece el cadáver de una persona conocida, el edificio donde vivía es pequeño, solo cuatro plantas y dos vecinos por planta, desde el principio todos son sospechosos ya que todos de alguna manera tenían relación con el asesinado. Teniendo en cuenta que la acción se desarrolla a finales de los años 60 del siglo pasado el tema de la invasión nazi en Noruega tiene una importancia primordial en la historia.
El policía encargado de descubrir quién y porqué asesina a este hombre, ya mayor y enfermo, es un inspector recién ascendido, meticuloso, perspicaz y buen investigador, además cuenta con la ayuda de una amiga que es admiradora de Agatha Christie y Sherlock Holmes y aplica muchas de sus deducciones de las lecturas de sus libros, es además una persona muy intuitiva e inteligente, su ayuda será de gran importancia para la resolución del caso.
El autor cuenta que la idea de escribir esta historia se la dio el conocer la vida de una tía abuela que tuvo un papel importante en la época de la invasión de los nazis a su país, pero que no todo lo que cuenta sucedió tal y como narra en la novela, incide mucho en esto, es una novela de ficción aunque hay personajes que existieron y otros son producto de la imaginación del autor que además es un historiador reconocido en su país y aclara que la novela la escribe no el historiador, el escritor de novelas de misterio.

Again, I’m a little late to the party with this one, but having already purchased the next two in the series, Satellite People and The Catalyst Killing, shortly after finishing this, you can tell I was impressed. With a more than obvious nod to the heyday of the Golden Age, Lahlum has cooked up a wonderful blend of Christie-esque plotting, with a traditional locked room mystery. With the action centred on an Oslo apartment block with its finite number of inhabitants, Lahlum carefully constructs a tale of secrets, lies and totally captures the whole notion of the sins of the past resonating in the present. As each inhabitants true character and devilish motivations for murder come to the fore in the course of the investigation, Lahlum invites us to play detective along with K2 to uncover a murderer. The writing is crisp, playful at times, and exceedingly dark at others. Although I did guess the killer relatively early on in the book, I did enjoy the little twists in the narrative which did make me doubt the cleverness of my own deductions, and with the formidable duo of keen detective, and his wonderfully barbed relationship with the spiky, but keenly intelligent Patricia was a joy to read. Excellent.

* بالنظرة الأولي علي الرواية هتلاقي نفسك قدام مغامرة لمحقق علي غرار مغامرات شيرلوك هولمز أو مغامرات هيركول بوارو و لكن الفرق إن المغامرة دي هي المغامرة الأولي للمحقق النرويجي "كوليبورن كريستيانسين" اللي هيبقي معروف بلقب K2 – وحتي لو الرواية ماكنتش شافت له لقب سهل كنا احنا هندور علي واحد لأن اسمه صعب جداً – الفرق التاني إن K2 هو البطل اللي ظاهر في حين إن حلال المشاكل و القضايا و العقل العبقري – و ده مش معناه إن هو محقق غبي – اللي ورا حل القضايا و الجرائم هي باترشيا اللي ممكن مجازاً و بشكل مبدأي نطلق عليها لقب المساعد بتاعه. نقدر نقول إن المثل الأقرب لمغامرات K2 هو المحقق كونان، بس الفرق إن K2 هيبقي هو توجوموري و باترشيا هي كونان.
* الحقيقة إن شكل العلاقة بين باترشيا و K2 و اللي هي كانت بتلعب فيه دور العقل العبقري اللي بيحل الجرائم و هو بيلعب دور الواجهة اللي بتتصدر المشهد و الصورة الرسمية كان مفيد جداً للرواية، و ده لأنه اتفادي عيب مهم جداً – أو علي الأقل عيب من وجهة نظري – في روايات شيرلوك هولمز و هيركول بوارو، العيب ده كان فكرة إن حل القضية بيقعد يتحل جوا دماغ المحقق و بعدين يروح مقعد الناس كلها و يحل القضية و يطلع المجرم، في حين إن في هذه الرواية ده ماحصلش و اضطرت باترشيا علشان توصل لمعلومات أكتر و بالتالي استنتاجات أكتر إن هي تفهم K2 اللي بيدور في دماغها و استنتاجاتها وشكوكها أول بأول علشان يقدر يكمل جمع معلومات و يسأل الأسئلة المناسبة في التحقيق مع المشتبه فيهم.
* من أكتر الحاجات اللي عجبتني في الرواية فكرة إني قدرت أتعرف علي النرويج و شوية من تاريخها حتي لو الفترة دي قديمة شوية، و عرفت موقفهم في وقت الحرب العالمية وتأثيرها عليهم، و دي حاجة مش بتبقي متوفرة بشكل كبير دائماً الكلام عن الحرب و وقت الحرب بيبقي عن الدول الكبري و مواقفها واللي جري فيها. فكانت حاجة كويسة جداً إني أقدر أعرف شوية معلومات عن النرويج و مواقفها و تحالافاتها و أنا بستمتع برواية بوليسية تركيزها الأساسي علي الجريمة والتحقيقات.
* تعالوا بقي نلقي نظرة علي عنوان الرواية و اللي الحقيقة يحصل علي لقب غريب باقتدار و إن كان يحمل خلف غرابته فلسفة معينة. بس في البداية خليني أعترف إن النظرة الأولي علي العنوان مستحيل تخليك تتوقع نوعية الرواية و تصنيفها. أما بقي بخصوص الفلسفة اللي ورا العنوان و اللي الكاتب كان مهتم غن هو يقدمها ويشرحها ويطبقها علي شخصيات الرواية، فالحقيقة أقدر أقول إن هي كانت واضحة و مفهومة و تطبيقها علي أكتر من شخصية كان شيء جيد جداً و ساعد علي تأكيد المفهوم اللي الكاتب عاوز يوصله. و لكن السؤال الذي يطرح نفسه هل الفلسفة دي كانت مؤثرة في أحداث الرواية بشكل كبير و لا يمكن الاستغناء عنها؟ و إجابة هذا السؤال آيوة و لاء في نفس الوقت. أيوة، أنها بتمثل دافع و سبب مهم لشخصية المجرم لارتكاب للجريمة. و لاء في نفس الوقت، لأن المجرم عنده دوافع أخري و كافية علشان يرتكب الجريمة و الدوافع دي قوية و أقوي من الفكرة الفلسفية اللي الكاتب بيحاول يطرحها و بالتالي الأسباب و الدوافع دي كانت قادرة تهمش هذه الفلسفة و بالتالي يمكن الاستغناء عنها.
* الحقيقة إن إجابة السؤال اللي فات ده بتفضل مائلة إنها تكون لاء لغاية لما بتخلص الرواية و لكن بمجرد ما بتبدأ تقرأ ما بعد الرواية و خاصة الجزء المتعلق بعمة الكاتب و سبب إهدائه هذه الرواية ليها بشكل خاص هتقدر تفهم أهمية هذه الفكرة الفلسفية في حياة الكاتب و اللي نابعة من تجربة حقيقية لشخصية حقيقية الكاتب سمع عنها من معايشيها و شافها حتي لو كان في سن صغير جداً. وده بيعطي للفكرة دي و فلسفتها وزن مختلف تماماً و بيجبرك علي إعادة تقييم و تقدير ما قرأته في الرواية خاصة من الرؤية الفلسفية اللي بيقدمها.

K2 scales the heights says one newspaper headline as the case is solved...or is it?
An interesting and very readable story of crime, love, passion, war & occupation all set in 1968 with links to WWII and the German occupation of Norway.
I came to Mr Lahlum's stories in an back-to-front way having read his second K2 book first. For me that was no great difficulty as the stories are well-written and pretty much standalone. The author's style is a tribute and nod towards Agatha Christie; something he both acknowledges outside the book's story and also within.
As for the crime and mystery: an elderly man - a former politician and hero of the Norwegian resistance - is murdered in his flat. The suspects seem to reside in the block of flats where the murder happened and, with Kolbjørn Kristiansen's (K2) assistant, Patricia, they seek to solve what becomes a more complex and changing case as their detective and deductive work takes them to and into a group of people who all appear to have connections to the deceased and motive and opportunity to kill.
Mr Lahlum dedicates his first novel to his aunt Dagmar Lahlum. Nothing really interesting or thought-provoking until the end of the book where he includes some further info on his aunt, including the fact that she was in a romance with none other than Eddie "Zig-Zag" Chapman, the famed (or infamous) and very real British secret agent whilst he was acting as a German solider for British Intelligence. There are some good books on Chapman and mentions of Dagmar Lahlum. On the fourth of April of 1968, young Detective Kolbjørn Kristiansen aka. K2 from the Oslo police department, is called to 25 Krebs' Street to investigate the murder of former leader of the Resistance Harald Olesen. What follows in the account of a murder that will touch every one living in that building.
DRAMAAAAAAA!
I'm used to read detective novels that develop the detective while he investigates the case. However, when I was at about 80% of the book, it dawned on me that I basically knew next to nothing about K2. He seems to be the guy who gets thinks moving so that we can learn more about the residents in Krebs's Street but he doesn't seem an extremely savvy detective.
The novel introduces early on a wheelchair-bounded woman named Patricia who is an old family friend of K2. She asks K2 to be involved in the case but she resolves it all by herself. K2 pales in comparison to her and frankly, he looks like a moron who can't put two things together. Patricia and K2 relationship is unbalanced which makes a dent in the book. Instead of having to partners who complement each other, we have a character that relays on another to keep moving forward. Furtermore, Patricia is a civillian and last time I checked, we weren't allowed to come along to murder investigations or be informed of the developments in an ongoing case. I mean, are you kidding me, K2?! You're the less professional cop ever. This hindered a bit my enjoyment of the book. If Patricia were a essential characters, I may have bought it but she doesn't have much of a personality developed (like K2) and I wonder why couldn't the writer just made K2 a bit smarter and have him have a detective partner.
But don't let this distract from the fact that I really enjoyed how the story developed. Usually, what I find more interesting in a detective book is the detectives themselves nor the case itself but here it was the other way around. Everything ties back to the war and everyone is living in the past. Like Patricia puts it, they are humans flies which means that they can't forget something that happened in the past and they keep going back to it, like flies who fly around something. This hold true to all the characters, who are the most interesting thing in the book. They are flawed real characters, they are people and you could act like them if you were in their shoes. And they are not in Krebs' Street by chance.
The death of Harold Olesen will bring up things that happened during the war that have haunted Harold and everyone in Krebs'. Everyone is withholding information for their own gain but Patricia via puppet-K2 will discover their lies one by one.
The book certainly doesn't give you time to rest, every little information we know, true of false will change the curse of the investigation a little and led us into believe how is the murderer. I figure out who was it when I was almost finished with the book but I was still missing some information that only comes to light when the culprit confesses. This book definitely didn't bore me at all, just the opposite.

Truyện hay và logic, các nhân vật được xây dựng thú vị và mạch truyện được phát triển một cách rất hấp dẫn.
Tác giả khá ưu ái cho phái nữ trong truyện và mình thích điều đó :))
Một khởi đầu quá tuyệt với series K2 của Hans Olav Lahlum. Hy vọng bên Phụ Nữ sẽ tiếp tục làm các quyển sau.

Lo más bonito de esta novela es su portada. Ya con eso te haces una idea de cuánto me ha gustado 😉
Y es que sigo en la infructuosa búsqueda de una novela negra nórdica que haga migas conmigo. Esta, desde luego, no lo es.
Aunque el argumento era muy seductor y me pirran los misterios de asesinatos en una habitación cerrada, todo lo que lo acompaña me ha dirigido al desencanto.
Los personajes son de cartón piedra, más parecidos a fichas del Cluedo que a seres reales. Los protagonistas son insoportables. Uno es estúpido, poco profesional y pagado de sí mismo. La otra, inverosímil, cruel y antipática.
Salvo la portera y el taxista, todos son insufribles, como lo es la prosa del autor, que parece que esté escribiendo a empujones.
Y hay muchas cosas chirriantes que no sé si se deben al autor o al traductor.
Yo creo que dejo de buscar más, que no hemos venido a este mundo a sufrir 😂.

I don’t know where to begin with this one. Okay, let’s first start with the main character, K2. He’s not only incapable of being a detective (when I say ‘incapable’, it’s an understatement...) he’s also one-dimensional and bland. He doesn’t have a distinct personality. He literally just serves as a narrator, nothing else. What irks me the most is how he doesn’t see the obvious. I get it, he’s supposed to be intellectually inferior to Patricia but Hans Lahlum overdid it. How can he be a detective when he can’t even differentiate a suicide from murder when the evidence is right there in front of him???
None of the characters in the story are even likable...except Patricia, perhaps. I’ve never hated a character more than I hated Kristian, Karen and Sara. If it was the author’s intention to make the readers hate all of them, well, he did a good job. I particularly loathed Sara Sundqvist because of how she was written. How could I not when several parts of the book were dedicated to her loathsome affair with Kristian? The author apparently viewed that as more important than to elaborate HOW the locked-room murder was committed because (o vey, correct me if I’m wrong) there was no exposition on how the suspect committed the crime and left the room without being seen.
The story itself is predictable. I saw the so-called ‘twists’ in the story from a mile away. Or maybe I’ve read too many Agatha Christie and other mystery novels (which is ironic, given how this story’s supposedly inspired by Agatha).
This is how I know it’s really bad...because I’ve known the mystery and who the suspect is all along. In my standards, a good mystery novel should make you think and surprise you. The only surprise I got was how I managed to finish it without chucking it across the room.
This is disappointing, to say the least. I was excited to read it because it sounded really promising.
Above all, the front cover was misleading. On the cover, it said: ‘they were being killed off one by one.’ But the story itself proved that otherwise. It’s only meant as a bait to get readers going.

Un thriller que engancha, adictivo, que se lee rápido y en algunos puntos hasta divertido debido a la ironía de algunos personajes
En esta ocasión, nos vamos a encontrar una historia en la que en un bloque de 6 pisos, el inquilino de uno de ellos va a aparecer muerto. En el momento de la muerte todos los vecinos estaban en el edificio, y casualmente, nadie entró ni salió ajeno al bloque.
Todo indica que el culpable ha sido uno de los vecinos. Nuestro inspector, tendrá que poner a prueba todo su ingenio para encontrar cualquier pista que le ayude a resolver el caso. Pero, no va a estar sólo, va a tener la ayuda de una chica joven y en silla de ruedas que no suele salir de casa, pero cree saber lo que ha pasado y contacta con él para ofrecerle ayudarlo.
La forma en la que se resuelve el caso, el tema con el que está relacionado todo, y la forma en la que vamos conociendo a los personajes, han hecho del libro, una historia perfecta de la que disfrutar.

Có phần hơi đuối khi kết thúc vụ án. Cảm giác những chứng cứ buộc tội có vẻ hơi lỏng lẻo, kể cả dù cho đến phút cuối có giải thích mà tôi vẫn thấy thực sự mù mờ, gấp lại vẫn thấy dấu hỏi to đùng. Mở đầu truyện khá là hay và đã gây hứng thú cho tôi. Nhưng được 2/3 sách thì tôi gần như hơi mất kiên nhẫn vì những yếu tố dài dòng và lê thê.

تعد النفس الإنسانية الوعاء الجامع والغامض لشتى المشاعر والتجارب التي يمر بها الفرد...وهي النواة المتوارية التي تظل تدور في فلكها الذات.... تتناول ذبابة بشرية الحديث عما بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية وما حدث انذاك من تحالفات دولية ومعارك أثرت في شعوب تلك البلدان ومن ثم الذكريات التي تركتها في الأشخاص والتي كانت المحرك الأساسي لمجرى حيواتهم فيما بعد...إن قارىء الرواية سيظن للوهلة الأولى أنه أمام جريمة قتل سيظهر اسم مرتكبها لاحقا...لكن ما إن يبدأ بمطالعتها حتى يجد نفسه أنه أمام التاريخ والسياسة والاجتماع معا...عمل روائي يتناولها جميعا بصياغة رائعة لكن بأسلوب أجاتا كريستي الذي يبدو جليا واضحا...حيث اعتمد المؤلف المحقق الذي يشبه الى حد بعيد شخصية هيركيول بوارو...ومساعدته التي تغوص في أعماق النفس كمس ماربل بطلة روايات كريستي...نتنقل بهدوء بين الشخصيات لنقف على حقيقة مفادها أن لكل إنسان ماض لا يرغب لأحد بالاطلاع عليه إلا برغبته...يحركه بالخفاء في العقل الباطن ....هناك لحظات يظل يدور في فلكها ولا يستطيع تجاوزها...هناك من يشبهون الذباب الذي يظل يحوم حول الفظائع أو لنقل عظام الامور التي عبرتهم تاركة فيهم ندبات لم يستطيعوا علاجها جذريا....
هل بإمكان الفرد قتل الذبابة في داخله...؟؟؟ وهل بمقدوره بناء عالم جديد دون الاتكاء على جدران الماضي...؟؟؟ هل الوجه الذي يقابل به الاخرين حقيقيا لم يتعرض لعمليات التجميل؟؟؟؟ هل يستطيع إزالة المساحيق عنه؟؟؟؟....إن كان مافات مازال مخيما عليه...فإنه سيظل ذات المريض الذي لم يشف بعد حتى وإن حاول التظاهر بغير ذلك...إن لم تكن طرق التداوي صحيحة...فإن العلة ستضمر لكنها لن تزول أبدا....

٢.٥ نجمة لرواية لا بأس بها ولكنها جاءت أقل من توقعاتي. فكرتها جيدة والجزء الخاص بالحرب واللاجئين شيق ولكن بها تطويل في بعض الأجزاء وبها أيضا سذاجة من جهة المحقق والشرطة وتأخر في الاستنتاج في كثير من المواقف لحساب باتريشيا والقارئ. كما شعرت فيها ببرود لا أدري مصدره. لم يكن بها من العاطفة ما يكفي..
تبدأ الرواية باكتشاف مقتل أحد أبطال المقاومة في شقته وتدور الشبهات حول سكان البناية التي يقطن بها. يبدأ المحقق باستجواب الجميع والمضي قدما بالتحقيقات بمساعدة الفتاة المراهقة المقعدة وشديدة الذكاء باتريشيا. مع الأحداث نكتشف أن للقتيل أدوارا مختلفة في الحياة وفي المقاومة كل منها قد يكون سبب في مقتله.
تبدأ الرواية باكتشاف مقتل أحد أبطال المقاومة في شقته وتدور الشبهات حول سكان البناية التي يقطن بها. يبدأ المحقق باستجواب الجميع والمضي قدما بالتحقيقات بمساعدة الفتاة المراهقة المقعدة وشديدة الذكاء باتريشيا. مع الأحداث نكتشف أن للقتيل أدوارا مختلفة في الحياة وفي المقاومة كل منها قد يكون سبب في مقتله.

Initially, it appears to be a locked room mystery, since it would have been hard for anyone to get in and out of the flat undetected.
Gradually, all the other residents of the apartment block come under suspicion in turn, as many connections between them and the murder victim, Harald Oleson, are unturned. The "human flies" of the title are people who are haunted by the past and keep on circling round it. It seems as if most of the characters in the book fall into this category, as they can't get away from their memories of the Second World War and their own roles in it.
A fascinating element is the afterword where the author briefly describes the real-life experiences of his aunt, Dagmar Lahlum, who was a double agent in the war, working for MI5. Her story is completely different from the novel, but gave him inspiration.

Harold Olesen é assassinado no mesmo dia em que Martin Luther King, 4 de Abril de 1968, mas só que em locais e em circunstâncias completamente diferentes. Também o destaque da sua morte foi completamente diferente da de King. Olesen, foi um dos lendários heróis da resistência hitleriana e aos 50 anos tornou-se bastante popular na Noruega. Destacado para o caso, o detective Kolbjørn Kristiansen, um investigador bastante inexperiente já que este é o seu primeiro caso, acaba por cometer alguns erros crassos iniciais, que vão terminar com a entrada em cena de uma personagem improvável, muito ao estilo dos romances de Agatha Christie ou Conan Doyle (Hastings ou Watson), uma jovem com mobilidade reduzida. No entanto, contrariamente aos companheiros de Poirot e de Sherlock Holmes que pouco usam as células cinzentas, a detentora das mesmas é a jovem que a partir da sua própria casa, já que está de cadeira de rodas, usa a sua inteligência para dar dicas úteis a Kolbjørn Kristiansen e ajudá-lo a resolucionar o caso.

I loved this wonderful whodunnit in the tradition of Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes. Adored K2 and especially Patricia. Was pleased to note there are more books in the series. Cannot wait to read the next.

“Người ruồi”, theo định nghĩa của Patricia, một trong hai nhân vật chính của truyện, là những người “dành gần như toàn bộ thời gian còn lại trong đời để quanh đi quẩn lại với chuyện đã xảy ra”, với những biến cố, những nỗi đau đớn xé lòng trong quá khứ mà tới tận hiện tại vẫn chưa một lần khép miệng. Xoay quanh những “người ruồi”, những kẻ dù không cùng tầng lớp, xuất thân nhưng lại giao nhau ở những “ngày hôm qua” đen tối, cuốn sách cùng tên của nhà văn người Na Uy Hans Olav Lahlum không đơn thuần chỉ là một cuốn tiểu thuyết trinh thám thông thường, đó còn là hành trình xuôi dòng quá khứ, tìm về và làm sống dậy những bi kịch, là lời cảnh tỉnh đầy gay gắt về những tác động ghê gớm của quá khứ tới sự định hình nhân cách và số phận của cả một con người.
Người ruồi bắt đầu bằng cái chết bí ẩn của Harald Olesen – một nhà quân sự, một chính trị gia lỗi lạc, một vị anh hùng Kháng chiến và là hình mẫu lý tưởng xứng đáng để noi theo. Ông chết vì một phát đạn bắn vào giữa ngực, trong một căn phòng kín và trên hiện trường không còn tồn tại bất kỳ vết tích nào của vật đã gây nên thảm án. Cái chết của Harald quả là một mất mát không gì sánh nổi, bởi vậy, việc truy lùng danh tính kẻ thủ ác ngay lập tức được đặt lên hàng đầu. Trọng trách đặc biệt quan trọng này được đặt lên vai Kolbjørn Kristiansen (gọi tắt là K2) – một thanh tra cảnh sát trẻ tuổi. Sau khi khoanh vùng điều tra, kết luận cuối cùng được cho rằng thủ phạm không ai khác ngoài sáu cư dân của tòa nhà tập thể số 25 phố Kerbs ngày hôm đó. Tuy nhiên, trên con đường ấy, K2 không hề đơn độc. Song hành cùng anh còn là Patricia Borchmann – con gái của một vị giáo sư tài giỏi và giàu có bậc nhất. Tuy không cùng anh rong ruổi trên mọi cung đường, gõ cửa từng nhà và lấy lời khai của từng nghi phạm, song cô lại là người đem tới cho anh những lời khuyên hữu ích, vạch ra những suy đoán lầm lạc và chỉ cho anh hướng đi chính xác để có thể hoàn thành mục tiêu. Cùng với nhau, họ đã trở thành một đội, một cặp bài trùng ăn ý chẳng khác nào Sherlock và Watson. Vụ án được phá, hoàn toàn là do sự phối hợp nhịp nhàng giữa họ.
Người ruồi có cấu trúc của một cuốn tiểu thuyết trinh thám kinh điển kiểu mẫu. Có nghĩa là gần bốn trăm trang sách hầu như vắng bóng những biến chuyển tâm lý tinh vi, những cú plot-twist sốc tới tận óc hay những pha rượt đuổi đau tim, nghẹt thở, thay vào đó đơn giản chỉ là công cuộc thu thập lời khai, chứng cứ rồi đi tới kết luận, có chăng, kịch tính nhất cũng chỉ màn chạm trán giữa tên sát nhân và viên thanh tra ở phần kết thúc.
Song, không bởi lẽ đó mà Người ruồi trở thành một cuốn sách nhàm chán. Lối kể chuyện mạch lạc cùng những nhấn nhá hợp lý, có chủ đích cũng như các yếu tố lịch sử được khéo léo chêm xen vẫn đủ sức để níu chân độc giả từ những dòng đầu tiên cho tới tận những trang cuối cùng. Mình đặc biệt thích cách tác giả sử dụng triệt để các sự kiện, nhân vật trong lịch sử, mà cụ thể hơn là cuộc WW2 để móc nối, đan cài các mối quan hệ, từ đó tạo đà phát triển câu chuyện của mình. Qua mỗi chuyến đi, qua mỗi lần gặp gỡ các bên liên quan, một bức màn mờ sương trong quá khứ lại được vén mở, một bí mật lại được bật mí. Và tiếc thay, hầu hết trong số đó dường như lại chìm ngập trong bi kịch.
Một người đã trở thành mồ côi, một kẻ suốt những năm ấu thơ phải sống trong t���i nhục. Một mất đi tình đầu, một đánh mất tương lai, một đến những năm cuối đời vẫn phải luôn sống trong khốn khó, trong những dằn vặt và ám ảnh không có gì có thể bù đắp nổi. Không thuần túy chỉ bóc trần những lời nói dối, Hans Olav Lahlum còn đi sâu vào khắc họa cuộc đời họ, soi chiếu họ ở cả hai mặt quá khứ và hiện tại, thể hiện mối tương quan giữa những hành động trước kia có thể tác động tới tương lai mai sau sâu sắc tới chừng nào. Từ đó, ông đã vạch trần những mặt tối của chiến tranh, đã cho thấy một chân lý muôn thuở rằng: chiến tranh chưa bao giờ đẹp đẽ và sẽ không bao giờ là một điều đẹp đẽ.
Nói tóm lại, Người ruồi có thể chưa hẳn là một cuốn truyện trinh thám xuất sắc, nhưng hoàn toàn có thể khẳng định đây là một cuốn tiểu thuyết đáng đọc. Tuy vẫn còn kha khá những điểm thiếu sót, chẳng hạn như vai trò lấn át quá mức của người “đồng sự” Patricia (thật sự luôn, ông cảnh sát gà mờ vậy luôn á hả?), diễn tiến truyện tương đối chậm, dễ khiến những độc giả thiếu kiên nhẫn phải nản lòng, hay là phương cách đào thoát của kẻ thủ ác vẫn còn bị bỏ ngỏ, song bằng mạch kể mạch lạc, các yếu tố lịch sử được đan cài hợp lý, đặc biệt phần cuối truyện rất đỗi cảm động, hệt như một nốt lặng đầy da diết, thực sự gây được ấn tượng đối với bản thân mình.
Thú thực là vào lần đầu tiên cầm trên tay Người ruồi, mình không kỳ vọng nhiều đâu, nhưng đọc xong rồi lại cực kỳ thỏa mãn. Cùng series K2 này còn có cuốn Người vệ tinh nữa, chắc là mình sẽ sớm đọc trong tương lai gần.

Policial muito bem desenvolvido! Os acontecimentos, embora não muito rápidos, acontecem sucessivamente e o livro cativa a ler sempre mais um pouco pela sua escrita leve e e de fácil compreensão!

نبذة عن الرواية : وزير وبطل و مناضل سابقا أثناء الاحتلال النازي ، يعثر عليه مقتولآ داخل شقته في بناية مكونة من طابقين و يكشف التحقيق عن عدم دخول او خروج احد إلي البناية في هذا التوقيت إذآ فالقاتل هو أحد سكان البناية يتولي التحقيق المفتش "كولبيورن كريستيانسين" المعروف بلقب (k2 ) وهي أول قضية بهذا الحجم يتولها و تساعده في القضية صديقة العائلة "باتريشيا" المراهقة الذكية ذات (18عام) وهي قارئه نهمة لروايات الجريمة و محبة لها.
يبدأ التحقيق مع سكان البناية الستة و زوجة حارس البناية وهم في الطابق الأراضي يسكنه رجل قعيدآ علي كرسي متحرك "أندرياس جولستاد" وفي نفس الطابق عضو سابق في الحزب النازي "كونراد جينسين " وهو سائق سيارة أجرة.
وفي الطابق الاول يسكن الزوجين الشابين "كريستيان لوند" و "كارين لوند" وفي نفس الطابق "سارة تسكنساندكيفست " طالبة سويدية من أصل يهودي .
وفي الطابق الثاني يسكن دبلوماسي أمريكي اسمه
" داريل ويليامز"
وفي نفس الطابق القتيل "هارالد أوليسين "
فمن منهم القاتل؟ وهل فعلآ القاتل من سكن البناية؟ وما هو الدافع من قتل المناضل السابق؟
رأي في الرواية: في بداية الرواية اعتقدت ان سأكون أمام محقق مخضرم فائق الذكاء مثل شيرلوك هولمز او هيركيول بوارو ولكن بالعكس فالمحقق (k2 ) متوسط الذكاء بل محدود الذكاء في بعض المواقف ولكن مع وجود باتريشيا و مساعدتها له في حل القضية يتمكن من حلها.
مميزات الرواية :
اولآ أحببت تغير المتعارف عليها عن محقق الجرائم وعن ذكائه الفائق كما أحببت شخصية باتريشيا و ذكاها و تعريفها عن معنى الذبابة البشرية.
ثانيا تنوع الشخصيات سكان البناية و معتقدتهم و ارائهم السياسية .
ثالثا تداخل الأحداث الرواية مع الأحداث السياسية و التاريخية و استخدامهم الرائع.
رابعا وصف مدي تاثير الحرب علي النفس البشرية و مقدرتها علي تدمير الإنسان و المتبقي من حياته علي رغم خروجه منها حي.
خامسا اثبت الرواية إنه يمكن تجزئة كل شي حتي المبادئ و الاراء الشخصية.
سادسا تعبر عن مدي تاثير الماضي علي حاضر الإنسان كما قال "جبران خليل جبران" ما تنكره في الماضي قد ينتظرك في الحاضر .
العيب الوحيد في الرواية من رأي هو عدم منطقية بعض الأحداث ولكن لم يقلل هذا العيب من استمتعي بالرواية.
ام لغة الرواية فكانت سلسه و ممتعة واحداث الرواية كانت سريعة و ترجمة الرواية عظيمة لا غبار عليها.
في النهاية أحببت رواية ذبابة بشرية واستمتعت بها و منتظرة ترجمة الأجزاء الاخرة من تحقيقات k2 وأنصح بالرواية لمحبين روايات الجريمة.

I approach Scandinavian crime authors carefully, you never know what you're going to get. Often they are highly overrated. This is the first book by Lahlum that I've read, and I must admit I quite enjoyed it.
A veteran from the resistance movement during the second world war is found dead in his apartment. Everyone heard the shot, no one saw the perpetrator come or leave. So it's a bit of a closed room murder mystery. Everyone in the apartment block has something to hide, of course, and they are all lying, needless to say. There are strong nods toward Agatha Christie and even a little bit to Sherlock Holmes. This then is a very classic mystery, and there are no attempts at inventing anything new, which is just as well. I think I'll be reading more of Lahlum.
