This is not a deep going book, but easy one for reading and enjoying. The language that it uses is quite archaic but still very readable and at some points, you may feel, you are reading a poem and not a modern book about vampires and sex. But it is still so and I was enjoying every minute spent with this book.
It tells the story about a pair of lovebirds Dan and Sabrina, Dan being a monster, energetic vampire, Sabrina being a few hundred years old modern vamp. Everything seems to be fine, but then from one moment to another comes to the picture an inexperienced vampire hunter named Eva, we find out about the dynamics inside a small intellectual city in modern Russia where are more non-humans then humans and where the fight for power is threatening to create a great war across the species.
I would recommend this book to everyone who likes vampire stories, sex, humor, angst and is looking forward to spend afternoon with a pleasant book that will leave him with good feeling and ready to do some hard intellectual work afterwards.
