I was what I was because of a blood lust that stemmed back eons; a lust for power that was never ending and destroyed more nations than any one person could fathom. Though Earth had always been our playground, we made it our home, and took it over in a swarm of black robes, empty promises, and even emptier hearts. My kind killed for the sake of killing. We ripped leaders to shreds just to watch them bleed. It was what we had always done, or at least that was what my father would have liked me to believe.
When his happy childhood was ripped away from him by a maniacal black widow and a father that was blinded by power and greed, Declan vowed to be the last face either of them saw before they took their final breaths. Raised a killer, labeled the most ruthless Keeper, Declan was the best at what he did—what he was bred to do—but he wanted more. As the son of the cruelest leader the world had ever seen, Declan grew to know the pain and suffering of those unfortunate enough to be under his father’s rule. He was The Keeper. He held the key to his father’s downfall, and in a world full of deception and intrigue, he was the puppet master.
***Author's Note*** The Keeper is the companion novel to The Supremacy, and a reader request. The Keeper is The Supremacy from Declan's POV, plus a little more.
Raised as a 'Military-Brat' I've had the pleasure of living in many different locals--some amazing and eye-opening, others boring and dull. Being raised in the military lifestyle gifted me the opportunity to meet people and see things I never would have otherwise.I refuse to grow up and become a boring adult. It will never happen. When not writing my stories you can probably find me advocating for Human Rights in many different venues. Some of those topics include the right to your own body, the right to love whomever you choose and the right to speak openly and freely without fear of persecution (whether that be personal or from the government). But most of all, I'm just me and it's always hard to write a bio on myself. If there's anything you'd like to know feel free to ask!
"The Supremacy couldn't fight a war they couldn't see."
I was so addicted that I read this book practically the same day I finished the first. This one is from Declan's perspective and really follows the same events that Erin witnessed in book one. It's interesting to get Declan's perspective. And boy is that man going to be in trouble. I inherently love him, but dude made some complicated decisions. Anyway, this book, although not as riveting as first, still delivers. Can't wait for The Gathering.
This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
Amazing companion to The Supremacy. This story is told from Declan's point of view. For those of you that read the The Supremacy you are brought through Erin's point of view and Declan and the rest of the Supremes are definitely the baddest of the bad guys. However, Declan has sacrificed so much to protect Erin and this plan to overthrow the Supremacy. Declan suffers in much the same way as Erin did only in different environments. The two are more alike than what is originally portrayed. I love the different twists and emotions that that are played out throughout the story. Declan can be a frustrating character, but in a good way. It makes you root for him and you want him to come out the good guy...He has his reasons for everything he does but what happens when your plan comes together? or not?
"There was no amount I could give to make up for the heinous acts I preformed, no penance to be given. I was a monster, just the same as my father."
"Her fire was gone, replaced by the tired, broken whisper of a fallen angel, and it was my job to bring that fire back to life."
“Because I made a wish on a star for the heavens to bring me an angel.” ... “and they brought me you.”
To see this story unfold in Declan's point of view is stunning. You get to see all angles. I wasn't really fond of Declan in The Supremacy but I cannot wait for more from his point of view. I have fallen in love with Declan! And the cliffhanger at the end brings new meaning to being the keeper...Declan is the puppetmaster!

The Keeper is not just a retelling in Declan's voice, it is a rich and layered story filling in details you didn't even know you were missing from The Supremacy. The story that Megan White continues to tell with this installment of the series is such a novel Dystopian that you are quickly engrossed and don't want to come up for air. I kept telling myself just one more chapter and then I was sad in the best possible way that my time with Declan, Erin and co. was over because I just couldn't put it down! I love the characters that are in this series - granted some of them I love to hate! But the story makes you feel something which for me at least is vital component in storytelling. I can't wait to see what happens next...

I have yet to read a companion POV change novel as great as The Keeper. Megan did a fantastic job writing from Declan' POV..I grew to love Declan in The Supremacy but that grows a millions times more in The Keeper. Megan knows how to pull you into the story and let you see things, characters..have feelings, good or bad, for these people. She does a great job getting your head lost in the story.
It might be the same story as The Supremacy but there is SO much more to this one. Aside from it being from a different POV, you get more detail, more questions answered... coming from Declan. There is so much more to it that keeps you reading on and wanting more.
If you haven't read The Supremacy, do it first then go right into this one!! You won't be disappointed!
AMAZING! I absolutely adored book 1, The Supremacy. It was scary and sad and absolutely original, but The Keeper…..100% awesomeness! I just can’t get enough of Declan’s side of the story. I didn’t want it to end! And then it did, and I need book 3 as soon as humanly possible! The Keeper is Declan’s POV of The Supremacy, Erin’s time at the farm and her escape. What an intense read, and there is so much more information given here! More of the story is unfolded for you and you get a little more at the end then you got in The Supremacy, and what an ending it was! I cried and laughed and swooned during this book! A must read!!!
I was thrilled to know I could finally get my hands on this. Megan White's take on dystopia is unique. If you've read The Supremacy, I highly recommend this book. The Keeper gives Declan a voice of his own. He is complex and compelling. I was a fan of his before, now even more so.
