I really enjoyed this. The story was different and handled pretty well. It is a truly terrible and scary tale of gaslighting and subtlety controlling the person in your life.

It is fiction but feels real. I don't think I have personality read anything quite like it. There are a few issues, some chapters and paragraphs weirdly repeat, sometimes adding something new at the end. There is a lot to keep track of and it jumps around a bit but thats mostly handled well.

I really liked this story and idea.

This is a book I started and kept reading with hopes it would get better. The plot was decent. It was confusing to me to read a chapter and a few pages later read the same thing again. The names were confusing, calling her solicitor by two different names, for example. The telling of the story itself was almost clinical and dry. Had I known it would never get more clear, I wouldn’t have started it. But hope springs eternal, and I am no quitter.

good read

I enjoyed the story. It wasn’t my favorite. It was terrible how the husband put something in her coffee and made her forget things she did. She eventually figured it out. For me I thought it happened too quickly in the story and then I still had the rest of the book to read. It did keep my attention. I kept thinking something else dramatic was going to happen again, because how much was left in the story but nothing out of the ordinary.

This was a good story, it was a little thrilling and somewhat creepy. But some parts was repetitive in a way that made me think that I was going back and was re reading it😅 I don’t know if the author did this intentionally (maybe so you can have some imagination about what the FMC are going through) and if so, very genius and a little bit confusing.

I do wanted to feel more goosebumps and thrill then I did, but the story is good and I enjoyed it.

good storyline.. but

As much as I liked the story, and the concept, there was too much redundancy. A few things were repeated 2 or 3 times, word for word, in different chapters. One time I swear I lost my place because, it repeated what I’d read a chapter or 2 back. Also the timeline was a hot 🥵 mess.

Thank you for a copy of this book. Honestly this one was really hard for me to get into. It was still pretty good at the end of it.
