What are You Seeking? Will You Recognize When You've Found It?

When what you have is not enough, why settle? Complacency is not the answer when satisfaction is in question. Appreciate who I am... Recognize what I do... Acknowledge the needs you aren't fulfilling or watch me walk away. Riley made her position clear but allowed her myself to get drawn into a fantasy she wasn't ready for.

Am I my brother's keeper? Words the Carlyles never fathomed. Born from the same bloodline, with the same opportunities one is so different from the other. Living in one's shadow or living like YOLO, family must come first.

Samara Ray, this is a good read.

This story taught me many things. First, there is a young lady, Riley, who had a dream as a child to be a chef. She fulfilled her dream and became successful at a young age. Her determination speaks volumes and is a good example that you can be what you want to be if you are willing to do the work. This story takes me to the Carlyle family, the mother in particular. Miriam wants a family setting on Sunday with her four grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and her husband. Her idea of the Sunday dinner was fine, but would be less complicated if she cooked it herself. What did you expect to happen if you have a 27 year old woman coming to your home to cook for your four sons and husband? Every man was going to try their hand at being with her. Why are you mad when that happened?

This was the worst book I have read this entire year. However it was comically bad, so at least there’s that. It was just about the main character sleezing around, referring to her lady parts as a honeypot (ew), all while flaunting how great a chef she was. I would have at least liked to see some more character development. As soon as she even started to realize her mistakes, the book ended. Just very anti-climactic. If you want a quick 24 hour read, that’s about the only purpose for this book.

I enjoyed it.....it was a fast and easy read...Finished it in two days. The writing was very simple and flirty. I related to the main character's plight. She just wanted to live her life to the fullest and instead of staying at home like lazy a bum. I mean, who doesn't want to find Mr. Right? Some characters could've been flushed out more, though. I was a bit confused at the beginning figuring out who was who. But the main problem I had was the ending. It was wrapped up too neatly leaving issues unresolved with the family.

The story is set in Atlanta and is centred around a 28 year old African American woman, Riley, who runs a catering company. She faces some issues with her lackluster boyfriend, Taylor, and decides to take a break from their slowly dying relationship while getting over the loss of her beloved father. Meanwhile, she gets hired catering for this wealthy family that has a galore of sexy men. She falls into unexpected love affairs with all them and is left to choose one. What's a girl to do?

Overall it was a fun and charming read. There's drama, sex and a whole lot of delicious flirting with food involved. 3 stars. Do I recommend it? Yes...if you like food and romance and a quick read.

Excellent read. Shamara Ray paints an interesting picture of the potential emotional highs and lows that are involved in finding that special relationship with the right person.
