She publishes under two names in Japanese, that spell the same but are written with different characters. - 硝音あや: for shōjo manga - しょうおとあや: for BL manga
I was a little confused at first what was going on but the plot on this volume overall was *chefs kiss*. And that cliffhanger omgggg!! They didn’t need to do me like that
So turns out I'm on Volume 8 now, not 7. Darn this manga app telling me otherwise. I was getting so confused because goodreads said there were nine volumes and my app says there are seven and it's complete. I'm really enjoying this manga, although it's started getting predictable again. Mutsuke looks like he may be swayed from the good side and some drama with Kaede will eventually pop up. Ah well, better stick with it anyway, even just for the lovely art. Although I do enjoy the sad bits, the heartbreak seems almost melancholy.
Wow, I really enjoyed this volume and am enjoying this manga series! <3 so good! : ) wow, but left on a cliffhanger though...can't wait to read volume 8 when it comes out! : ) definitely recommend this series! : )
Shouoto continued to move Kiss of the Rose Princess's plot forward in deliciously evil and fun ways with this volume. At 22, I don't ship Idel and Yako as much as 16 year old Jack did, but I liked the background on their bond, plus the former's resilience is using his powers, even if it potentially meant sacrificing himself. Mutsuki's betrayal caught me off gaud with this read, as well. It has gotten built up for the past few volumes, but the subtle foreshadowing here was perfect. I missed the lack of black rose petals in those two Chapter 29 panels! The past, along with Mutsuki's growing desire for Anise, has likely caused a lapse in judgement. I don't remember how that subplot wraps up, but only time will tell.
Kaede is also trying to desperately prove his own feelings for Anise. Will he prove victorious in his battle against Shiden? The cliffhanger is still a climatic way to end Volume 7. With only two volumes left, I'm still having fun with this re-read. My feelings could not change by the last volume, but with the prolepsis I've referenced before, maybe not.
First Read Review (March 27th, 2016):
SO GOOD OMG YOU GUYS! I wasn't expecting Rhodecia to get more character development, and I thought that was well done. Also, I'm shipping Idel and Yako now. Their bond's just so strong I can't.
It seems as if we're also starting the final battle now, and it literally left me on the edge of my seat. The plot twist regarding Mutsuki was a time coming, but it was still very unexpected as to where it was revealed.
Can I have the next 2 volumes now? Pretty please? That cliffhanger's way too evil.
Betrayals! Too many characters! And why doesn't anyone think to tell Anise who Cinderella is?
I'm still rating this too high. I know it. But I do it anyway. Why? Because I like how it's drawn. I like the characters. Even if the plot feels somewhat muddled at times.
Bring on the drama...that mostly happened off screen because it wasn't nearly as important as this other drama (and also, we're running out of books). Anyway, Mutsuki goes from Kuudere to Yandere in the span of a chapter. Kaede still isn't an awakened knight. Idel and Yako resurface to hand off a few Arcana cards and push the story into what I'm assuming is its final battle. Bring on the angst and the shipping wars.
So, we have 9 out of 22 Arcana cards. And Cinderella has 7. (Again, this number isn't accurate at all because neither the art or story is clear on who has how many. I think Idel handed over 5 and Cinderella's is still based on the numbers from the last volume.)
:o YOU BAKAAAA GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (and why do I feel I read this before? I know I didn't finished, a few years back, but this feels way familiar.......... I thought I read only until the middle.....)
Okay, so this is a huge turn of events. I was not expecting the Black Rose to make such a huge change, I'm hoping this is all a trick, but at the same time I'm rooting for the Red Rose!
looool, the bl background shone through this volume and honestly god bless, idel and yako def outrate whatever weird shit mitsuki is currently on. drink ur respect women juice and calm down dude!
Mutsuki is tempted by his brother, because of his feelings for Anise. This leads to a surprising betrayal, and a messy one. And I will say I’m not a huge fan of Mutsuki’s actions toward Anise here, he's more forceful than I would like. Although it does push Anise and Kaede to consider their feelings for each other more seriously, but that part is just starting to develop.
The fake princess is terrible, as are most of her knights. Unlike Lime and Orange, who are super sweet together in their brother-like relationship, and their friendship with Anise. I like the insight we get into Orange and Lime, an idea of who they are and where they come from.
Then there’s the cliffhanger, which makes me excited for the next one. I can’t wait to read it.
Mutsuki has betrayed the rose knights in his desperate attempt to get Anise all to himself. He stole Anise's first kiss and now she is without a black rose night because of the gray rose convincing the black rose to want Anise so badly that he betrayed her and the other knights to try to get her. He switched sides because of the gray rose. Anise watched him stab Kaede, the red rose, and stood in shook as he disappeared away with the gray rose.
Anise calls her White Rose and her Blue Rose to save Kaede and stop Mutsuki from murdering Kaede. The kiss was mentioned and all the roses started fighting over Anise and she told them to stop it. They listened, but now all of the roses really hate Mutsuki for what he has done.
ANise has finally awakened her red rose I am assuming since it ended with a cliffhanger and I am excited to start book 8 and can't wait to pick up the book as soon as possible!!!
薔薇嬢のキス..a surprisingly good plot for a reverse harem manga, with some very nice girly art.. kinda has an Ouran/Mahou Shoujo mix!
If you are here for that bishounen romance kick, then you have come to the right place. If you are here for some depth and a memorable story that makes you remember it for a long time, then go look for Fullmetal Alchemist..
I really loved her Stray Love Hearts manga, and so I looked up her works, and I started reading this one, which I love just as much. I can't wait until the rest of the volumes are out, because I'm excited! Sigh. Just can't wait.
