Leger's Clowder
Now settled in his new home as a hotel cat on a tiny Scottish island, Leger is searching for activities to keep him busy and, as always, his mind turns to sleuthing.
At a Burns Supper hosted by Tony, the hotel's manager, in honour of the Lithuanian girls he has employed to work for him, the mystery of three recent thefts is apparently solved when two of the stolen wallets turn up in one of the girl's bags. However, Leger is not convinced that the accused Emilija is guilty and using his feline instincts, sets about searching for the true culprit to clear Emilija's name.
The first story in the Leger Hotel Mysteries Series sees Leger return, along with Bob, Lily and his old seagull friend and informant, Joe.

On leaving school in 1995, she chose an entrepreneurial career path, which later led to a job in book-keeping before working for over a decade as a paralegal. She also ran a small perfumery for a short time and has worked as a mystery shopper since 2007, partly because she likes the glamour of being a spy, although it's actually super boring and there's a lot of paperwork involved.
She returned to study in her 30s, undertaking a BA in Arts & Humanities with the Open University in Scotland, where she gained a distinction in creative writing. She has also studied Comparative and World Literature with Harvard's online program, Harvard X and History of Religion, specifically magical beliefs in the Middle Ages with the Universitat de Barcelona.
Since 2002, she has written for a variety of publications, both in print and online. She is the author of 39 cat sleuth novellas, 2 chick-lit novels, 3 stories about sexually active foods and a blog named Rock Paper Spirit. She has also written a Chaka Demus and Pliers tribute musical, just to pass the time.
She has been an associate member of the Cat Writers Association since 2018.

A solid and interesting entry in the Leger saga. A good beginning to the Hotel cat adventures. My brain does not seem to be functioning coherently enough for me to say much of interest.
So . . . a good short story. Involving Leger, Lily, Leger's friendly sea gull, the resident cats on the island, female construction workers, Tony from prior stories, his human companions, Bob his dog friend. Mixed up in the case of the "who stole the three wallets?" Which rapidly morphed into "did the person who appears guilty actually do the deed," before Leger could even begin investigating.
Hmms. Leger's Clowder. Odd. They are not exactly his Clowder, at least not at this point.

Another short fun cozy read about Leger and his life on the island. Wallets start disappearing and he determines to find out who is doing it and why.
