With a nice variety of cookies and sweets, this book is your "go-to" cookbook when it comes to baking cookies!
The recipes in this cookbook are easy to make, with easy to follow instructions. The ingredients are inexpensive and most pantry ready. All of the recipes are ones that I am familiar with, but for a baker, just getting comfortable in the kitchen, this is a good but. One suggestion is photos, they give us, the bakers, the confidence in the finished product.
Great book for people who want cookie recipes that make a small batch without having to the math to cut the recipe. All but one recipe makes around 2 1/2 dozen, just the perfect amount for two - three people.
Cookie Recipes: Delicious and Easy Cookies Recipes (Quick and Easy Cooking Series) by Hannie P. Scott This book starts out with table of contents and the recipes are not listed in any special order. They are all cookies. Free gift offer and then list of abbreviations are explained along with conversions. Each recipe starts with a title and servings. list of ingredients are included and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low sodium, low fat, low sugar and fresh vs. canned items. Directions are given. There are NO pictures and NO nutritional information. What I do like about this is that all the old fashioned recipes are included all in this one book. Other works by the author are listed at the end.

Cookie Recipes by Hannie Scott is one of a series of cookbooks that are super simple and really quick. Many of the recipes call for pre-made ingredients which is great for the semi-homemade type baker or those short on time or inclination but there are several for the scratch recipe enthusiast as well. I have enjoyed several of the recipes inside and was even inspired to create a couple of my own by tweaking one or two of them. (I recommend the lemon butter cookies made with olive oil instead of butter! And Ghirardelli chocolate drizzled over the peppermint cookies. Yum!) It's overall a nice little cookbook. Ideal for busy momma's of young ones that are eager to help in the kitchen.
I have always loved cookies, both making them as well eating them. While many of the recipes may seem to be nothing really special, others do have a simple specialness that have the potential of becoming go-to recipes. The ones that may seem like the old standards have a minimal list of ingredients that will make them a snap to mix up and bake. This cookbook could become a favorite!
I love the variety of treats and cookies in this recipe book, however I did notice when writing down the snickerdoodle recipe that the measurement of salt for the recipe is missing in the ingredient list, but says to add salt in the directions you might want to fix that error on the digital version for future readers.
It had some good cookie recipes. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wanted to make homemade cookies. Almost half of the limited number of cookie recipes in the book started with a store bought cake mix or store bought packaged cookies. They more than likely cut time for busy homemakers and probably tasted just as good. But not what I look for in a cook book.
Ms. Scott shares lots of cookie recipes in this book. Chocolate chip, M&M's, and Nutella to name a few. This will be a handy book to have when you are hungry and looking for something to do. Can't wait to try them!
I liked this book because the recipes were simple to follow, a small variety of recipes to choose from, so the home baked isn't overloaded with ideas and it's easy to read.
I really LOVED the cookie recipes in this book and especially how they're all hyperlinked for easy reference. The recipes are easy to follow, and step by step instructions. This book ideal for beginners!
I try to make one of the cookies but it was missing how much I need to use for one of the ingredients, the point of me getting this book so I wouldn't have to search the Internet but ended up having to do it anyway.
This is a short book. I will be doing some of these recipes. The recipes are easy to read. The instructions are well-written. All of the recipes are for small amounts. Most are for around two dozen cookies. Some are fit less than that.
Lots of really good sounding cookies. I can't wait to try out. 😀 My only complaint is that they use a lot of pre-made ingredients, like other cookies and candy.
