Josie Brown's READER REVIEWS FOR THE HOUSEWIFE ASSASSIN'S GARDEN OF DEADLY “AWESOME! Action-packed! This romantic comedies books series is by far my absolute favorite (and I read or have read 100s of series). It doesn't matter what book (or how far I am into that book) I`m reading, whenever Josie Brown releases a new book in this series, I instantly download and read it!"“I am really enjoying this series of domestic thriller books! You have mystery, romance, and comedy all wrapped up in one. The housewifely hints at the start of each chapter are hilarious! Love all of the characters I have come to know and love...or hate! Great reads.”“Josie Brown has done it again! Donna and Jack are up to their old tricks trying to stop a mutated corn crop while becoming closer than ever in the love department. When a near-fatal accident occurs, their relationship is solidified. I can hardly wait for the next installment!”“Donna and family come through again. I don't know how Ms. Brown continues to keep the series fresh, but she does not disappoint. The book has humorous, dialogue and outrageous situations. Jack's timing and awkwardness throughout the book are adorable. This thriller Kindle books series continues to be one of my favorites.”“I have been addicted to this series since racing through Book 1 in one sitting. Every one of the ten funny mysteries Kindle books in this series is brilliant. There are great tips at the start of every chapter, helpful household tips that turn into fun spy tips. The parent/child/school interactions are so true to life, funny one moment, heart-wrenching the next, always moving. I love watching the kids grow up and Jack and Donna grow closer.”“What a WONDERFUL book. Out of the 10 books (and the prequel) I do have a favorite and this is a close, close second. It was great story, with lots of humor, suspense, mystery, and humor, suspense, tear-jerking moments and don't forget humor. I love Donna because with all the drama, family and otherwise, she tries not to take things too seriously and sees the good behind all the bad. It was a wonderful, wonderful addition to the series and I cannot wait for the next one.”“Another delightful Donna and Jack story. I am a big fan of this series and I’m always waiting for the next romantic comedy book- so I got this and ripped right into it- the TBR pile tossed aside. And once again we are gifted with a humorous-fast paced-steamy-heartwrenching -romantic suspenseful over-the-top spy tale—oh and don't forget the gardening tips at the start of each chapter which can help you get rid of an insect—or maybe a pesky neighbor.”“OMG! This was by far my favorite in this domestic thrillers series. Poor Donna. Poor Jack. They've had ups and downs their entire relationship. This outcome has been anticipated for a while, I'm so happy it's finally here!”“The whole series of Housewife Assassin is so entertaining and I loved every book.

---- so i am a big fan of this series and am always waiting for the next book- so i got this and ripped right into it- the tbr pile tossed aside-- happily this book did not let me down------so once again donna and jack have save the world- this time around there is a virus that has been put into genetically modified corn - - mission they must get all the corn back and destroy it before it affects the our nations food and no one can know about it--- oh and there is a chance china might be behind it or the quorum - speaking of which seems there is a high ranking prisoner who might have good intel on the quorum and is POTUS in the know-?--- throw in all the problems donna and jack have with their 3 growing children- the snarky pta ladies---- and once again we are gifted with a humorous - fast paced- steamy - heart wrenching -romantic suspenseful over the top spy tale--- oh and don't forget the gardening tips at the start of each chapter which can help you get rid of a insect - or maybe a pesky neighbor -- i am so glad the next part of donna's life is coming out in july--- and if you have not read any of these stories before- the first one is free- but warning you could end up hooked
This book had so much going on, I raced through it in a frenzy to see how everything turned out! The topic of genetically altered corn that would cause mass death was horrifying and a captivating topic! Meanwhile, who do you trust and who is a Quorum member? Donna and Jack deal with parental issues, like when Mary shoplifts something to satisfy her new basketball teammates, and when Jeff withdraws from a teacher because he feels due to his ethnicity the teacher is a terrorist. Even Trisha's Daisy Scout Troop is affected by the tainted corn being used in cookies they are set to distribute after record sales. Somehow Donna and Jack save the world and their family in a most satisfying manner.
Again, these books MUST be read in order to understand the story line. Ms Brown is very good about tying the series together, but she doesn't and can't go back to book one in every book! So stop and pick up book one (currently free on Amazon) and start from the very beginning! You will be glad you did!
I think I may have found my favorite Housewife's Assassin book so far. Although this can be read as a stand alone book, I highly recommend you start with the first one in the series (The Housewife's Assassin Handbook). The book includes humor, romance, and suspense. While Jack tries to prove his love for Donna with poor timing, they must find all the genetically enhanced corn before it can be released in the nations food. Thank you Josie Brown for writing another great book!
In all ten of The Housewife Assassin series, you'll find humor in how the characters behave, you'll feel sadness for what they face. And you'll appreciate the love and respect they show each other.
I really can't get enough of this series! Getting back into the fold, Donna rejoins her team to look into dangerous GMO foods. Funny, sweet and awesome, this series is the bomb!!!
I dove into this book during a stressful week, expecting nothing but the usual Housewife Assassin escape, and I was not disappointed. This book had humor, suspense, mystery and romance, like all the books in this series. I'm so glad Josie Brown sticks to her successful formula.
This is number 10 in the series and I've read them all. These books are funny, exciting and sexy. When I'm reading them time means nothing; I'm completely lost in them. I have enjoyed reading every single one. I read this one in a couple of days a: because I couldn't put it down, and b: because I'm holed up in my house avoiding the coronavirus! This was undoubtedly a super read!
This book dealt with something that has been happening in real life. Even though it wasn’t the same, there was still a pandemic as part of its plot. It had some similarities, but it didn’t reach the lengths that the current pandemic did when it first began. It shows how one act can change people’s everyday lives.
I loved this series! Mom by day, assassin/honey pot by night. Can’t get much better than that! I loved the humor, personalities of the characters and the series really gives you it all: romance, comedy, and messy motherhood
Another winner in the Housewife Assassin series. I love the characters and how they interact as they (Donna and Jack) literally try to save the world. Josie Brown's books are fun, funny, and at times, poignant. This one had me laughing one moment and brought a tear to my eye the next. One thing I love about this series is how real the characters seem as they struggle with the kids activities, meals, etc., even when they're larger than life as secret agents.
Each chapter begins with helpful gardening "tips" - they are sure to help you have a successful garden or get you indicted for a felony - your choice....lol
This is a stand alone novel, however you will enjoy it so much more if you begin with the first book in the series: The Housewife Assassin's Handbook http://www.amazon.com/Housewife-Assas...
***SPOILER ALERT***Really well thought out story, with lots of opportunities for Jack to propose to Donna, in the midst of danger and calamity.
Poor Mary has to contend high school bullying, and learning hard lessons about trust and betrayal by her new 'friends' on the basketball team.
Evan is a great addition to the family, and his visit to his mother in jail also allows her to reveal what she knows of the Quorum to Donna. A scuffle between Donna and Liang Xiu gets Jack shot, but after he wakes up in the hospital, Donna's proposal ends the long road to get to their permanent coupledom.
Jeff's research and suspicions of terrorism cause him to lose a wonderful teacher and mentor, but again, he learns about trust, prejudice, and assumptions.
Some laughs, as usual, and some sadness, but a good hook for the next book, the marriage of Donna and Jack.
