Savannah Rylan writes dirty-talking motorcycle club and mafia romance filled with ruthless men, ride-or-die loyalty, and women who don’t back down.
She has a soft spot for anti-heroes with scars, found family dynamics, and enemies-to-lovers stories that make her heart melt. If there’s a morally gray biker growling “mine,” she’s one happy girl.
When she’s not plotting revenge arcs and steamy showdowns, Savannah is wrangling two tiny humans, two chaotic dogs, and a husband who has fully accepted that fictional bikers pay the bills. She’s known for rocking rainbow hair (usually some shade of pink or purple), surviving East Coast winters with dramatic flair, and drinking coffee like it’s water.
Originally from sunny California, she now lives where it snows, which she deeply resents. But at least it gives her more time to stay inside and write about men who prefer leather cuts over parkas.
If you love possessive heroes, high-stakes drama, and spice that fogs up the windows, you’re in the right place.
This is the first book in the Metal Reapers MC series and it’s off to a great start. This book had me asking question after question as to just what was going on. Deacon, Guage and Dallas bought out a bar that Char worked at and lived above the bar. These four exuded tension in all forms. Char wants to know what the men are hiding and just how each of them would handle her. Their secrets might be something no one is ready to handle.
Their story continues in the next book of Their Mark and I cannot wait to get started with it. There is so much that has yet to be answered and just how will the four of them work things out.
Their Claim is a dark reverse-harem/mafia fast-moving romance that blends danger, obsession, and possessive love interests. It follows a heroine who becomes entangled with powerful, dangerous men who all “claim” her in different ways—emotionally, physically, and protectively. From the very beginning I was obsessed and couldn’t put it down.

Bottle Grounds isn’t just a bar to Char; it’s her sanctuary and home. After a traumatic childhood, it’s the one place she feels safe, a world she fiercely protects. Living upstairs, she’s carved out a life among the staff and regulars, guarding them like family. So, when three strangers walk in Char’s instincts go on high alert… even as her undeniable weakness for dangerous men sparks to life. Deacon, Dallas, and Gauge are members of the Metal Reapers MC. When they leave, Char assumes that’ll be the last she sees of them. She’s wrong. Because they come back with ownership papers in hand. The bar is theirs now, lock, stock, and barrel. And Char? She’s not about to let anyone take over her home without a fight. Suspicious of the MC’s real motives, Char digs her heels in. She challenges Deacon, the commanding, no-nonsense president, at every turn. Gauge, the quiet and intimidating enforcer, says little but watches everything. Dallas, the laidback charmer, rounds out the trio. The chemistry between them and Char is immediate and electric, but trust? That’s a battlefield all its own. She refuses to be steamrolled, becoming more than a complication, she’s a full-blown thorn in their side. Though this is a reverse harem setup, the relationships unfold one-on-one in this first installment, and they’re anything but soft or sweet. There’s tension, resistance, and a raw edge that keeps every interaction charged. I especially appreciated the character backstories. Yes, they slow the pacing a touch early on, but they add weight and context that pay off later. And when the story shifts gears, it really shifts. As danger creeps in, and enemies close ranks, the pace accelerates into a storm of chaos, twists, and escalating stakes. By the time everything spirals, you’re fully hooked and that cliffhanger? Brutal in the best way. With its mix of danger, obsession, and fiercely possessive men, this is a gripping start to a new series. Their Claim by Savannah Rylan is the first title I have read by this author and its also the first in the Metal Reapers MC series. Initially I thought this was a standalone but it is indeed just the first instalment and the end is a cliff hanger. As a spicy, biker, romantic suspense, why choose romance it is pretty gritty with some content that is pretty dark so be warned before diving in. Char is the bartender and bar manager of Bottle Grounds and here has a found her place and a family that she feels protective of after having had a traumatic and rough childhood. Her world changes when three bikers from the Metal Reapers MC turn up one night and the unexpected attraction she feels towards them is unsettling but they leave and are not seen again until they turn up and announce that they have bought the bar and are now her bosses. Deacon, Dallas and Gauge have scoped the bar and expect that the transition to ownership will be relatively easy but Char is protective of the staff and their jobs and doesn't make things easy for the bikers especially when the earlier attraction sparks further with all three of them. Intrigue and mystery involving the Metal Reapers businesses and place in the town and area surfaces. Char's past and intentions to get to the bottom of what the Metal Reapers are trying to do concern the bikers so suspicions are high for everyone and are all intertwined with the building heat Char has with Deacon, Dallas and Gauge on a one to one level. I look forward to the next title and seeing how it all progresses further especially considering the tension, spice and development of all four main characters so far which easily kept me turning the pages right to the end.

As someone who reads dark romance on the regular, and has essentially no triggers, I can say with complete honesty that while the storyline was promising, there were a lot of problematic elements. First one being that despite the author stating there is a more extensive trigger list on their website, there’s not. That’s a big red flag for me.
The storyline follows Char who is the bar manager at the local dive bar, when her life is just starting to feel like it’s getting on the right track, the owner sells it to the local MC. Chat decides to find out what they’re hiding and what they’re really up to, which of course the MC doesn’t take kindly to. This is where the second problem comes in… Both Dallas and Deacon have scenes where they are incredibly physically abusive with Char. Choking her, almost breaking her arm, etc. Not once do the men apologize or feel remorse for laying their hands on her after finding out that they were wrong in the information they assumed was true when it came to her in those scenes. Like, sorry, but you literally choked her until she couldn’t breathe and then just say nothing. Nope, sorry, not for me. There’s a huge different between a MMC holding the FMC’s throat to assert dominance, making sure they aren’t truly being hurt, and literally choking them out and throwing them across a room and almost breaking a rib. But I digress… Beyond that, the story seems to go in circles the whole time, never really advancing in the plot. It honestly feels like yet another book that didn’t need to be in a trilogy.

I love MC romances as well as RH romances and this one combines both genres perfectly! This is the first book in Char and her men’s story – the foundation, one could say. There are conflicts, lust, attraction, infatuation and so much more, but this is more like a build up than anything else. I loved how strong, determined but also vulnerable and sensitive Char is. I also loved Gauge and Dallas – Deacon took a bit more to like. Deacon is the president of the Metal Reapers MC in the small town of Layborn California, the one everybody turns to for guidance and is in charge in every way. Gauge is the Enforcer. Silent, solid. Dallas appears to be the easy going one. They come to the bar Char is working and ended up turning her world upside down. They are here to buy the club from the previous owner. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes and Char sees it. A rollercoaster of events occur – unseen enemies lurk in the shadows, Char is determined to “defend her home” and is the first woman to actively challenge Deacon. All three men are unavoidably attracted to her – and she to them, despite the circumstances. This book is the build-up of the romance but also the story and the danger the Metal Reapers are going to face and it ends in a cliffy. I couldn’t stop reading till the very last page and I can’t wait to find out what happens next because now I am truly invested! 5 stars!

Char is living and working in a bar in Layborn, California. Char was abused by her father growing up. Her mother stepped in front of her to take the abuse and was beaten almost to death. She ended up dying in the hospital. Char testified against her father and he was put in prison. Char left town and ended up in Layborn working at Bottle Grounds a bar for Miss Lilly. One day three men came in to the bar and just ordered drinks. The next day Miss Lilly called a meeting and said she was selling the bar. The three men were standing behind her. Deacon is the president of the Metal Reapers MC. Along with him was Dallas and Gauge. The Metal Reapers want the bar to clean the dirty money they have. Dallas was first to go after Char but Deacon followed soon after and Gauge is right there there too. Char tried to investigate why the men bought the bar but she had no one to talk to about it. Once Deacon found out she was recording his conversation she was put in an attic where he spanked her and got the truth out of her. Someone has put cameras up on the routes the club drive. Who is watching the Metal Reapers? Will Char end up wanting Deacon, Dallas and Gauge? Will Deacon, Dallas and Gauge figure out what is going on? This reverse harem biker romance has a setup that could have been interesting, but it’s difficult to enjoy due to the character dynamics—especially the female main character. From the beginning, she is placed in a situation where she’s clearly not valued, yet she continues to overlook behavior that goes beyond questionable, including direct threats. Instead of showing growth or setting boundaries, she consistently dismisses these issues, which makes her hard to relate to. The male characters don’t offer much balance either. Their behavior often comes across as unnecessarily harsh, and there’s little meaningful development on their side as the story progresses. Overall, the character dynamics remain largely unchanged throughout the book. Because of this, the romance never really feels convincing, and the story struggles to build emotional depth. Overall, an unusual read with a premise that had potential, but ultimately falls short due to a lack of character development and difficult-to-engage dynamics.

This is the first book I've read by this author, and it had me hooked from the start. I love Char. She is strong but vulnerable at the same time. She has had a tough life. A childhood that no child should endure. But she lifted herself and fought to get where she is now. It may not be a lot to some people, but to her, it's her home, her safety, her friendships. So when these three handsome, sexy men turn her world upside down, she will fight Miss Lilly's corner.
Deacon, Dallas, and Guage have made a business decision on behalf of the Metal Reaper's MC, one where they can use the business to aid in their more unlawful ones. One they didn't count on was their insane attraction to the Bar Manager, one who wants to fight them on behalf of her old boss, one who wants to know exactly what they are up to.
While the men try to breathe new life into the bar, being around Char is addictive, one that can only be sated when she is under them. Professional boundaries are crossed. But can Char be trusted, given her past?
The men and Char dance around their feelings for each other. This is not a quick, fun time between them; it's something more, something deeper. But trouble is heading their way. Are they prepared for it?.

Char has a devastating past that left her feeling alone until she found herself at the bar that Miss Lilly owned. She is so much more than a manager as the place and the people feel like home so when that is threatened by the sale of the bar to three gruff MC members she is determined to uncover the truth and protect those she cares about.
Deacon, Gauge and Dallas may be MC brothers, but their personalities couldn’t be more different and the feelings they all have for Char is intense. While Dallas is easygoing, Deacon is serious and Dallas is introspective but together they are the perfect mix who give Char everything she could want and more.
Action, adventure, suspense and steam all combine into an entertaining story that leaves us needing to know what the future holds for everyone involved.
This is the first book in this series and is packed with action, suspense, and spice. Deacon, Dallas, and Gauge members of the Metal Reapers MC decide to buy the bar where Char works, she gets suspicious. While trying to protect her bar 'family', Char attempts to spy on the guys to figure out why they really bought the bar and soon finds herself in trouble. The guys are all drawn to Char and she to them which amps up the heat while they are all trying to figure out who to trust, why the bar has no customers, and what is happening with their other businesses. Each book in the series is a continuation of the story so there is a cliffhanger and no HEA.

Their Claim is a gritty, high-octane introduction to the Metal Reapers MC world. Savannah Ryland delivers a compelling "why choose" romance that balances intense club politics with the evolving heat between one resilient woman and her three distinct, protective men. The chemistry is undeniable, and the possessive "touch her and die" energy is executed perfectly.
While the pacing in the middle slows slightly to build the brotherhood's lore, the emotional payoff and the cliffhanger ending leave you desperate for the next installment. It’s a dark, steamy, and immersive read for any fan of motorcycle club hierarchies and unconventional love stories.

Book 1 of the Metal Reapers MC series. And a FANtastic start it is! Look forward to more from this world.
'I also know I want all three of them. Not one. Not two. All three. No competition, no choosing, no apologies. Some women get one bad decision. I got three. And I'm not giving a single one of them back. Why choose when you can have them all?'
The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

The storyline is good but what’s really disappointing is the numerous silly spelling mistakes. Here’s an example of one, “You look a contact lens?” It should have been, “You LOST a contact lens?” Now not a major thing in its own but when you get repeated errors like this it makes reading the book tiresome. ‘How’ when it should clearly have been, ‘who’ ‘it’ when it should be ‘is’ and so on.
Was this book proof read? I’m wondering if AI was used to check it.
Ends on a cliffhanger. And seems book two does too. Wish authors would say this up front. It’s misleading when they don’t.
Char thinks it is going to be an everyday night while bartending when three sexy a$$ sin men walk up to her bar. What she doesn’t know, while she is flirting, it is to be the downfall of the bar as she knows it. These three sexy men are with the Metal Reapers MC and they are about to take ownership of the bar from Miss Lily. Char and her two friends and coworkers can’t take that lying down. So Char being the closest to the new owners will spy on them to see if there is anyway to get Miss Lily‘s bar back for her. The new owners, Deacon, Dallas and Gauge have secrets that they are hiding, but Char is not forthcoming with her traumatic past either. Will they come to some kind of resolution?
This was my first time reading from this author and I can't wait to read more from her. Char is getting by bartending after a traumatic childhood. Deacon, Dallas and Guage end up buying the bar. Serious distrust between the MMCs and Char is the primary theme although as they get to know each other, things heat up and get spicy. This is book 1 in a trilogy, and it ends on a cliffhanger. Heed the TW's on this one, they are tough ones, and the book is on the darker side and be prepared to want to read each follow up book immediately!.

ARC REVIEWS - I was given the amazing opportunity to give an Arc review
Their Claim - 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5 , Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ I love me some morally gray men on the bike of a motorcycle. They are my weakness, and I am not ashamed to admit it 🤣. Honestly when reading I thought it would be a fast paced short story that concluded. But nope she manage to trick me and leave me on a cliff hanger. We have our strong FMC who will do anything to protect her friends who has become her family and the place she calls home. Even if that means standing up to our three strong MMC men who will do the same for their family. Our first book gives us a little background on each of the characters which gets us ready for book 2. The spice is wonderful, so far it’s only been our FMC with 1 MMC, but no 2 man or 3 man team as of yet. Each of our main characters has a background that slowly reveal who they are and why they act like they do. So we get to see the past get exposed and how our characters are able to handle it
Char is getting by bartending after a traumatic childhood. Deacon, Dallas and Guage end up buying the bar as a means to launder money for the MC. Distrust between the guys and Char is the primary theme although as they get to know each other, things heat up. This is book 1 in a trilogy and many questions remain at the end. Heed the TW's on this one, they are tough ones, and the book is on the darker side and be prepared to want to read each follow up book immediately!.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. Char finally found a place that she fit in after testifying against her dad. Then the bar she loves / manages gets bought out by a MC. She does what she knows how to do and fights for what she loves (the bar), even though that puts her in the crossfire of three very different, very tough men. All who have almost immediate connections with her when they previously met. Cannot wait for book 2!!.

This is a why choose romance, Char, who has had a rough life, is a strong female lead that will do anything for her friends. This causes her to stand up their bikers would do anything for each other. This the first in a trilogy and starts with the four main characters not trusting the other side, but as they get to know one another, the heat turns up. This ends on a cliffhanger, full of action and suspense, not a light romance.

This happens to be book one of Metal Reapers MC and the story of Deacon. Dallas & Gage who fall for the bartender at the club they own things started off hot but went from warm to cold back the hot between the four of them. All three of the Metal Reapers have their own personalities one is flirty and loves to wink, one is one of few words and the other broads a lot and is the boss who is mysterious.
Overall, I am enjoying this series...but I struggled a bit with the pacing of this book.... it took over half of this book to get everything set up & finally get into anything of substance.... which felt a bit slow. I would have preferred to have a longer book than have to read 3 books with cliffhangers... but that's just me & I understand why authors do it this way. This is Book 1 of Metal Reapers MC.
I like the plot... this book doesn't have as much of the spice as I had expected, with a why choose book... she doesn't even kiss the 3rd guy by the end of this book (she does in the 3rd book).
The book is a lot more about the romantic suspense aspect than I expected from the picture & description (not a bad thing, I enjoy that genre...but it wasn't what I was expecting).
I like the characters - they all have their own history/past & issues they're dealing with and they seem to help each other by being together.
I look forward to finishing the series (so far I have read the first 2 books...look forward to the last part, book 3).
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Three hot guys, a fierce female. Why choose, hot, spicy, loved this. Char had her bar bought out by these https://www.goodreads.com/review/show.... She should be angry, but she’s not. She should be afraid of the gods, but she’s not. I loved the way these four connected. I was pulled in and didn’t put this down until the end. Can’t wait for the next one.
Loved this book! Char works as a bartender and when three bikers deac, Dallas and gauge walked in she knew her life wasn't going to be the same. This first book is packed with action, thrill and danger. What will come next for them and the Mc.

Char runs the bar at Bottle Grounds. One night she meets three bikers, Dallas, Gauge and Deacon. She has no clue that everything is about to change. Once Ms. Lilly bows out to retirement while looking petrified, Char vows to find out the bikers secrets and bring her life back to normalcy. You've got plot, you got spice and plenty of suspense.
This is the first of the Metal Reapers MC series and it is off to a good start. The story is about Char, Deacon, Guage and Dallas. The story does end with an ATF agent making a surprise appearance. So the story will continue in "Their Mark". I am very much looking forward to see what happens next. The characters are strong and the chemistry great.
Three hot men yes please. The Mc is looking to buy the place that Char works at as a way to cover their tracks and that is where they meet Char. I like the story, yes their violence and other parts of the book that have triggers. Book has topics that make it real.

"When I got inside, I drew in a deep breath as I closed the door with my back. I was in a lot of trouble with these men. The greatest kind of trouble imaginable."
This is a why choose dark motorcycle romance read. It has everything you would expect, hard men, dirty talking, a strong FMC who has dealt with some SHT in her life, real touch her and die vibes. I really enjoyed following the plot along (but not the cliffhanger :-( haha).
Char is the FMC you know you will enjoy right from the start of this book. I was surprised how quickly she turned from hate to spice with the three MMCs. I am looking forward to seeing her interact more with the third MMC in future books in the series.
There was a lot to cover here and the author did a good job of setting up the world and the characters. I am looking forward to reading the next in the series soon!!
