Tully Oldin is a writer and storyteller who brings cinema to the page. His works blur the line between reading and watching, immersing readers in slow-burn horror, psychological drama, and surreal storytelling. Silentsomnia is where it all comes alive — a growing collection of interconnected stories and haunting mysteries.
The sequel to the first story Getaway Lodge: 14th Floor. And I have to admit that I even liked it a lot more than the first story. The story itself was much more thoughtful and carefully told than the first. There were more action elements, but the characters themselves had depth and some backstory.
In this sequel, we follow the story of police officer Delilah who tries to catch Anya and Adrian with the help of Mark, whose fate was sealed in the first part. Delilah's recklessness and I would say impulsiveness lead to new victims and by a combination of circumstances she finds herself no less than in Getaway Lodge. Inexplicable things happen again and Delilah faces her own demons while trying to save her life.
Certainly a much better story than the first part with greater depth of characters and a more developed theme. The writing style is still simple and easy to read. The only complaint is, like the first time, that there are no chapters. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Another Silentsomnia universe story that made me cry.
That is a warning, so far, every one of them have hit the feels in a very dramatic way.
There is blood and basic horror within the story but not for gore's sake it fits the story.
Overall a good story, with nothing over the top happing till about the 50% mark than bam you're into the typical Silentsomnia universe horror and strangeness.
The write style is good, easy to read, descriptive but not wordy.
You don't need to read the first book in this set, it works as a fully standalone book, this just adds more to the universe if you are reading to further your understanding of the Silentsomnia universe.
I personally quite enjoyed the story and am looking forward to the third book of this set.
This book was very good, to say the least. It was interesting, gripping and thrilling. I loved the characters and their bond. The thrill throughout and the gripping narrations had me hooked. Recommneded.
The first installment of this series I remember feeling a little bit rushed, but that was not the case with this one. Truly, with every new book from this author I’m floored at how much better and better they are each time. There are a couple nitpicky things that I didn’t like but not enough to change the five star rating. If you like gore and horror with deeper meanings and not just for the sake of it, you’ll love this book (and honestly, the rest of this authors books). I definitely recommend this book!

Getaway Lodge was a story I did not want to end. Delilah was a hard edge character who never quits in her FBI role. When she is faced with an event that will change her, she keeps on going.
Silentsomnia is a place I want to get to know more about. Secrets and terror on every page.
Another short story in the Silentsomnia realm, Getaway Lodge - The Descent Below by Tully Oldin, races at breakneck speed into the next episode in the storyline. Delilah finds herself swept into the deeply troubling world that consumed Mark and Anya in the preceding chapter.
Feeling responsible for the outcome, she seeks answers, but when events take an unexpected turn, she finds herself facing a similar fate. Wounded and desperate, she stumbles unwittingly into the Lodge in search of help, but everything is far from normal once the doors close behind her.
Breathtakingly captivating, this story has a unique blend of psychological strength coupled with unpredictable twists that will carry you through its content within an hour.
As soon as I got the notification saying there was a new "Getaway Lodge", I ran to get it and was not disappointed. I had a good time reading it: a badass female character, eerie situations and lots of mystery, this was a fun read.

I appreciate the format and writing style, however, I now have an aversion to the word "heartbeat". This was slightly overused in my opinion, but that's the only 'bad' thing I could say.
This was the second part to the 14th floor, but it also left on a cliffhanger. This one was more of a thriller to me and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Looking forward to reading more books ny this author in the future.
An amazing continuation of the 14th floor. It picks up in the eerie atmosphere that the first one had showing us what happens in the floors below.
Agent Ross, is after Anya and with Marks help she thinks she can finally close this case. But when things go badly she ends up at the Getaway lodge. Just as Anya did in the first novella. Though, what Ross discovers is an absolutely different experience than Anyas.
The Silensomnia series holds something very unique. Each part holds something dark and sinister but connects to one another in its own unique way.
I loved this new addition to the Getaway Lodge and Silentsomia series! It provided a different perspective on the story from the previous book and the continued upon it. I have a bad memory, so I had forgotten some of the first book, but this one was written in a way that brought it all back without being repetitive.
A little spook, a lot of gore.
I want more information about the Lodge itself!

I didn't enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the last one.
I felt like we were going to get to the haunted/creepy hotel a bit sooner than we did. It just wasn't the story I was expecting, though it did have the same dark, atmospheric vibes as the first one did, I appreciated that. It keeps this atmosphere throughout, which kept me intrigued for how the story was going to end.
I felt like the story lagged a bit more than the first one because it was necessary to have more lead up so you would understand where the story was starting from before it led you down a more sinister path. I understand why it took longer, I just didn't care for it. I just don't think this was for me, even if I did really enjoy the atmosphere.
And honestly, while I was expecting the plot to go down the same(ish) route the first book did, I was not expecting the ending of this one because the rest of the story was so different from the first book.
First, I love how these books or short stories are interconnected. This is such a mind trip to read that it literally glues you to your seat because you don't want to stop. I didn't see things ending the way they did for Dahlia. I also did not see that connection with her and Mark. My heart still breaks for Mark and now Connor. But the old lady Delacroix had me laughing and gagging at the same time.
