In the aftermath of a horrific terrorist attack, NYPD 1st Dep. Commissioner, James Maguire, must pull together the pieces of his personal life, even as racial tensions in New York City threaten to boil over, putting at risk the fledgling administration of his friend, Police Commissioner Rich Stargold.
As the investigation hits road blocks at each turn, Maguire begins to connect together the disparate strands of information, watching as a spider’s web of lies, espionage, and terrorism begin to emerge.
Does the path lead to the Middle East, or is a more sinister plot unfolding in the Nation’s Capital?
Will Maguire be able to put the clues together in time to stop an international incident from occurring, or will the country be thrust into the middle of a crisis that could launch World War III?
Andrew G. Nelson was born and raised in New York City and graduated from the State University of New York. In 2005 he retired as a sergeant from the NYPD after twenty years of service.
He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, something that he draws from in his writing. When he is not reading or writing he can be found engaging in his other passion, collecting and researching police and WWII military memorabilia. He is the author of numerous police procedural novels, focused on the NYPD, as well as a number of non-fiction works.
A good read but Andrew and James seemed to have both lost a step . . .
A good read but Andrew and James seemed to have lost a step . . . I'll read another because the stories are good, are authentic and pull you along but Bishop's Gate seemed to drag in a spot or two and I hadn't noticed typos in the first 2 books. Typo free should be the standard of prolific and successful writers! Book 4 will tell . . .
James Maguire continues to keep me engaged. His reference to individuals we all recognize is profound albeit troubling. Can we recover from what they have done is the question.
Excellent character development and great series. I would highly recommend this series to everyone who enjoys police procedurals. Hard to put down the books once you are hooked. And, you will be hooked!
