No witnesses.
No evidence.
No body.
Zoey Scargrove simply vanished.

Tangled Vines is a gripping mystery set on Keuka Lake in New York’s wine country. When seventeen‑year‑old Zoey disappears without a trace after a morning sports practice, panic grips the close-knit Sassafras community. But her case goes cold, quickly tearing apart the Scargrove family. Unable to handle the suffocating blame and grief, her sister, Stella, makes a decision to change the course of her life forever.

Years later, a shocking discovery pulls Stella back into the town she abandoned — and into the center of a reopened investigation. As the FBI digs into old lies and new evidence, the Scargrove family must face the devastating truth about what happened the day Zoey vanished. Atmospheric, emotional, and twist‑driven, Tangled Vines is a perfect crime mystery for book clubs, wine lovers, and fans of riveting suspense.
In Sassafras, secrets age longer—and deadlier—than wine.

Catherine D’Agostino reels you in with Tangled Vines from the get-go and doesn’t let up. I finished it in less than 24 hours because I just couldn’t put it down. The twists, turns, and surprises keep you guessing, and the way she presents the characters makes you feel like you’re right there in Sassafras with them. She even manages to teach you a little about the intricacies of winemaking along the way, which was pretty cool. I’m telling you… read this book!

Excellent mystery! I tried my hardest to predict who did it, and while I was on the right track for some clues, I couldn't do it. Great reveal and a great job tangling all the vines through all of the involved families.
