Palestinian writer and academic. Holding a PhD in comparative literature from Paris-Sorbonne University (Paris IV), he has published short stories, essays, and novels in French and English. His work explores identity, memory, and the relationship between myth and territory within the contemporary Palestinian context.

His first novel, Le palais des deux collines (The Palace of the Two Hills, 2021), was critically acclaimed.

With L’Éden à l’aube (Eden at Dawn, 2024), Kattan confirms his unique and poetic voice within Arabic literature written in French. He currently splits his time between Bethlehem, Paris, and Amman. He is also the co-founder of the literary platform El-Atlal, dedicated to artistic creation in Palestine.
