A struggling ranch owner. A younger man he should never want. A spark that could cost them both everything.

Wilder Boone is fighting to keep his family’s Texas ranch and the legacy his father left behind from slipping through his fingers. The last thing he needs is to fall for a younger man who works for him. But something about the new ranch hand has Wilder questioning his own moral code.

Asher Torres came to Boone Ranch for a job, not to lose his heart to the older ranch owner who keeps him at arm’s length. But as tensions on the ranch turn dangerous and the line between boss and employee begins to blur, the spark between them becomes impossible to ignore.

With the future of Boone Ranch on the line, Wilder must decide if risking his heart could cost him everything or finally give him something worth fighting for.

A beautiful story
Wilder owns a horse Rescue Center and stud ranch He had taken over after his father had a heart attack and died suddenly so between him and his dad‘s right hand Man Sully they take care of the farm. Wilder’s Mum wasn’t in the best of health, so he took care of her as well. Every year they had some young ranch hands coming to help around as it was a very busy ranch . And that is where he met Asher. He intrigued Wilder but he couldn’t be honest with himself about the feelings. You see there was 10 years between them as he was only 19 with his life to lead making while they sound like an old man but he wasn’t even 30.

Asher and his twin Grayson were finally going there separate ways. Grayson wanted to make a life for himself with the military but Asher wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. It was weird them finally going there separate ways. until he saw an advertisement to work with horses in Texas. And it was the best decision he had made. He thoroughly enjoyed taking care of the horses. People jokes calling him the horse whisperer because he could work with the Rescue horses that come to the ranch in a very bad way sometimes and he had a favourite. And sometimes referred to her as his own horse. The only issue he had was he had the craziest crush on his boss Wilder. He knew nothing would never happen, but that didn’t stop him from having these feelings. Grayson had contacted him about going home for Christmas to see their older brother Gage and it meant three weeks away from the farm but it had been over a year since he had been home so asked Wilder if he could take three weeks off and was surprised when he said yes.

And this is where everything changed.

I’ve got to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed the connection between Asher and Wilder it is a slow burn but the story just pulls you along. I really couldn’t put this Book down. The only issue was would people accept them with an age with a big age gap??? Would Asher even want to spend his life on the ranch and through all of this there is a twist in the storyline that affects the main characters and of course there’s got to be heartache.
A wonderful story I am really looking forward to Sully‘s book next we saw a side of him that he doesn’t show often in this book so he is going to be interesting.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Forbidden Attraction, Age Gap & Two Cowboys Falling Hard! 🤠❤️‍🔥

Wilder was such an emotional and addictive start to the Boone Ranch series! I loved the combination of ranch life, age gap, boss/employee tension, danger, and a romance neither Wilder nor Asher was expecting.

Wilder Boone already has enough on his shoulders trying to keep his family’s Texas ranch going and protect the legacy his father left behind. Falling for his younger ranch hand is definitely not part of the plan. But the more he tries to keep Asher at a distance, the harder those feelings become to ignore. ❤️

Asher came to Boone Ranch looking for a job, but I loved watching his connection with Wilder slowly develop into something much deeper. There’s plenty of attraction between them, but there’s also real emotion underneath it. Wilder’s struggle with wanting Asher while believing he shouldn’t made their relationship even more compelling.

I especially enjoyed the ranch storyline. With Boone Ranch itself in trouble and tensions becoming dangerous, there’s more at stake than just their relationship. It added suspense and gave Wilder even more reason to question whether following his heart was worth the risk.

Of course, I was rooting for him to realize that Asher might not be another complication—he might actually be something worth fighting for. 🥹❤️

Age gap, forbidden romance, boss/ranch hand, Texas cowboys, danger, and plenty of emotional tension made this one hard to put down.

Romantic, emotional, and full of cowboy chemistry—an easy 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🤠❤️‍🔥.

This is the first book of a new series by this author. Asher takes a job as a ranch hand at Boone Ranch run by Wilder. Asher has a unique ability to connect to the rescue horses they take in. Originally from Baton Rouge Asher has a twin Greyson and the older brother Gabe who raised them after their parents died. From the beginning there is a connection between Wilder and Asher, but Wilder age 34 thinks Asher is too young at 19. This is a fun romance, with great characters in the other ranch hands along with Sully and Wilders mom.

”Wilder” is the first in the new Boone Ranch series by Evie Riley. I am never disappointed when I pick up a book by this author. “Wilder” has all the things I have come to expect in a book by Evie Riley. It has wonderful characters, not just the MCs but the secondary characters as well. The story is not fast paced but is well written and flows right from the start. I cannot wait for what is next in this series.

Asher got a job on Wilder's ranch and seems to have a magic touch with problem horses. Both really like each other, everyone but them can see it. Wilder thinks Asher's too young and Asher thinks Wilder doesn't like him. It's a sweet little romance with intros to future MC's and, of course, horses! I received a copy of this through BookSprout and this is my voluntary opinion.

Wilder was left the horse ranch in Texas from his father. It is not doing well. Asher is working for Wilder as a ranch hand and they both feel the pull. Chemistry is hard to pull away from. But Wilder is worried about failing the ranch, but love does tricky things with the heart. Lots of heat.

This is a sweet boss/employee romance on a ranch. Personally, it’s a slow read. Not much happens. Characters pretty one dimensional. Solid writing. An introduction to ranch names, but not much about them. ARC via booksprout.

Great start to the series. Asher finds himself falling in love and Wilder catching him. It gives us insight into how they think and why they act the way they do. Finding their HEA was somewhat easy.
