GREAT cookbook full of easy-to-make recipes that I'm sure my family will like. Uses ingredients that are on hand and easy to buy (no shopping in an obscure store for an ingredient I may only use once!). Author is also a mom, so she is aware of budget constraints when it comes to groceries as well.
Nice collection of basic comfort recipes, most with simple one-page list of ingredients and instructions. Also, I like that there is a nice photo for each recipe.

Oh the things I didn’t know one could make with a slow cooker. Sadly, in the past, I had only used my cooker for beans and soups. Olson has shared several dishes that can be cooked easily in a slow cooker. The book is separated into Breakfast and Brunch, Party Food, Side Dishes, Soups and Stews, Chilies, Main Dishes and Desserts.
There is no lengthy introduction and there is a handy measurement guide in the back. The author does share a few cooking tips. Like, soak your beans overnight. I have to admit that I have NEVER soaked my beans. I’ve tried a couple of these recipes with success and plan on trying others. Some of my favorites in this book are:
White Hot Chocolate Cinnamon Applesauce Artichoke Parmesan Dip Fireballs At the Beat Clam Chowder Easy Asian Beef Tater Tot Casserole Lemon Rosemary Chicken Peach Cobbler
Initially, my crook pot was at the top of my cabinet, now I keep it on the counter and use it at least once a week. This book has opened my eyes to the many things I’ve been missing, especially when it comes to easy ways to prepare meals for my family.

I love my slow cooker, so I was super excited to try this cookbook. There were a lot of good recipes in here. The pictures are absolutely mouth watering. I tried the Green Chili Chicken Enchilada Casserole, and it was SO GOOD. It kind of reminded me of a more grown up version of something my mom used to make. I am definitely adding this to my regular recipe rotation. I also loved that there were so many different types of recipes in the book. I am now armed and ready for any occasion. This is a great book for slow cooker users new and old. Get ready for some delicious slow cooker magic!
This slow cook cookbook may be used by people who have a busy schedule, and it has some interesting recipes such as the blueberry buckle which sounds quite good. Also, there is even a recipe for hot chocolate using white chocolate. There are not enough beef recipes for me, but for people who enjoy chicken and/or pork, there are a bunch of recipes. Some of the desserts sound as though they could be quite tasty, but there is my sweet tooth talking again! I noticed that the author has a blog - www.themagicalslowcooker.com. Enjoy!
This cookbook has a lot of great recipes that I look forward to trying. I love my slow cooker and am glad to know of more meals to use it for. Most of these meals don't take a ton of ingredients to make, which I think is nice. I would rather have recipes be on the simpler side.
There are several recipes I want to try in here, but I'm not sure I can rank it on a "want to own" cookbook yet. There is quite a variety of recipes, so that is good, but there are other cookbooks I have enjoyed reading/looking at more.
I love using my slow cooker and this cookbook had some wonderful recipes that I am definitely going to try. From appetizers to desserts, this book had some different and delicious sounding recipes to try along with many helpful hints to make cooking easier and quicker.
Uninspired recipes that are Bland and found all over the Internet. All you need is a can opener to master this book. Quick, yes but sacrificing flavor and healthy ingredients.

I don't have all the time in the world to be standing over a stove. This cookbook has come in handy! I have not tried every recipe but the ones I did try I liked!!! This book can even help teach your teenagers how to use a slow cooker!!! #WickedlyTwistedBookReviews #WTBReviews
