Joedaism: Wit and Wisdom from a Contemporary Dude Vampire

Rate this book
Being a vampire hasn't exactly been a trip to the waterpark for me over the years...but it hasn't been a total ride down the ol' sewer pipe, either. I've learned to philosophize the finer points to avoid becoming bitter (and yes, this is me NOT being bitter, thank you very much.) Think of me as Plato with fangs, or an undead Socrates with access to twenty-first century technology and better hair.

Only slightly better, though.

It's time to share this Joe-centric trove of vampire wisdom with the world at large, in hopes of helping others more clearly understand our situation. If you're a vampire yourself, or if you have one in your life - or if you don't even know how to begin to tell if either of those are true - then my little book of knowledge should help clue you in to how it really is for us. It's no glitter-fest, to be sure.

But there's a way to find the shine in it nonetheless.

Steven Luna likes making things up on a daily basis. This biography, though factual, is one of those things. He's the author of the absurdly humorous Joe Vampire series for grown-ups, the heart-wrenchingly serious Songs from the Phenomenal Nothing for almost-grown-ups, and the magical realism tale Starfire and the Miracle Tree for readers of all ages. Simeon Croom and the Treasure Star, his new comedy-adventure series, is now available.
