This is a good debut work from a young pastor whose joy in the gospel and for the ministry is clear and contagious. There is some great wisdom there; particular highlights would be his chapter on the necessity of prayer and the chapter on spiritual attack, both of which were convicting and would be really useful for younger leaders heading into Christian ministry. Matt can also write very well, with lots of good anecdotes, so it is easy to read. I think it would benefit from a clearer positive vision for Christian ministry in the first half; but it is a joy to read in general and I hope it does a lot of good.
