Predictable Stormy Glenn story... which is exactly what I expected! Short, sweet, low-angst and of course grammatical errors out the wazoo... but, I couldn't care less about the errors! I love the way she throws her guys into danger and 20 pages later all is right with the world! *grin* And, boy, does she give us adorable characters... snarky is my favorite and Harper was right up there with the best of them! Ms. Glenn's stories are always a great way to spend a hour or so sitting back and relaxing while being thoroughly entertained by two or more sexy men and the adventures they are having! ;D

EEK!!! Harper and Memphis. I really hope this turns into a series. I want more.

However, I felt that Harper felt a lot like Nicky from My Girl by Stormy Glenn From the way he could "suck a golf ball through 100 ft of garden hose" to other things he did/said. Didn't stop me from enjoying this book though.

I have to admit. .. this isn't what I expected! I was thinking it would be a so-so read, something to just fill a couple of hours. .. but I have to say I totally enjoyed this and I hope this is a new series in the making. Jackson and Truman have some explaining to do!

Whoaa...this is a fun read. I really enjoyed that Diva attitude in Harper. And seemed that Memphis has the same opinion as me. :)
I loved Harper and his sassy mouth!
"“Seems to me that he likes biting just as much as I do.”
Brooklyn crossed his arms. “And what would you know about it?” he asked as his voice hardened ruthlessly. “You’re just a human.”
“Honey,” Harper snorted, “I’m not just anything."

And his 'logic' thoughts about werewolf was cracking me up!
"“I am a werewolf.”
It was really too bad a man as gorgeous as this was insane.
“Honey.” Harper smiled indulgently as he patted Memphis’s cheek. “Werewolves are myths created from legends and superstitions, and the creative minds of writers and overpaid Hollywood directors.” *"

And Harper and Memphis, OMG, horny all the time, and Memphis was just like, let him. And you know about a pregnant male and their hormones, right? *smirk*

I hope we can have another stories about the guys...
Th story is ridiculous, I admit, but did not stopping me for enjoying this!

Having recently read Stormy Glenn’s brilliant new book, ‘The Stormy Glenn Collection Convention”, I was flabbergasted to discover there were some books of hers that I had missed. WHAT? How in the hell did that happen? Regardless, once my shock was over, I had to go and buy each of those missing stories so I could get caught up. Since, you know, I fell in love with these couples at the convention. I knew I was going to start with Harper and Memphis in ‘Broken-Nail Diva’ because Harper stole my heart straight out of the gate.

Harper was a little shocked by his forwardness, but not much. He had long ago decided to be who he wanted to be and fuck everyone else. If they didn’t like him the way he was, so what? They didn’t have to stick around. Harper wasn’t changing for anyone. Besides, it wasn’t every day he ran across men this breathtakingly handsome. He wasn’t passing up the opportunity.

Harper and Memphis are way sexy and incendiary when Memphis slips into Harper’s room one night. Memphis knows it’s the only time - can only be the one time - because of what he is. Harper wakes up thinking he had the hottest wet dream imaginable...... except strange things start to happen. And then Harper gets kidnapped. Memphis has been feeling off the whole day until he has a dream vision showing Harper in trouble. Memphis, along with his “pack” (they’re not real sure what they are) Brooklyn, Denver, Boston, and Jackson, head out to find him and rescue him.

“Like I’m scared of you,” the man sneered. “I’m a wolf-shifter, honey. I’m stronger, faster, and meaner. You don’t have a chance in hell of beating me.”
Harper raised an eyebrow and just stared at the man until the smile slowly fell off his face. He smirked when the guy turned around to face the front of the car. His point had been made. He might be the lowly human in the car, but he had powers of his own.
He was a certified pain in the ass.

I loved the worldbuilding here in that each of these men were bitten, they know nothing about being werewolves, and they’re all learning as they go. Luckily for them, Harper’s job in the real world involves researching the answers to obscure and bizarre facts. Of course, what turns out to be the most helpful is Harper’s best friend, Truman’s, treasure trove of paranormal romances. *grin*

Had I read this book years ago I would have been bugging the author for Truman and Jackson’s story all the time. No matter, I do believe it’ll be on its way fairly soon. I loved Harper and Memphis plus all the secondary characters. I could have read so much more about this crowd so please hurry up, Stormy.

This was both fluffy and kind of depressing. It's about a group of shifters who were turned when bitten but know nothing about it and lock themselves up during the full moon. So sad that they had no reference or pack or anything else. And then we have Harper, the twinkish, boot wearing, nail filing diva. So cute and sassy with him and sad with the shifter group. It's hard to explain. I hope this is the beginning of a series so we can see them find themselves and maybe find a pack or something.

I love Harper. I love that he is a stereotypical gay man because they exist and are mostly ignored in M/M fiction. He's fun.

I like that when he giggled he was horrified.

Memphis is creepy.

Memphis looking at the other guy while the guy's asleep and admiring both his face and his backside. The guy curls up and hugs a pillow and Memphis brushes his hand down the guy's chest. How? He reaches under the pillow? That kind of needs to be said because the way it's worded sounds like the author forgot the pillow was there. In fact, more goes on with the chest such as nipple tweaking and the pillow just doesn't exist anymore. In another place, he pushed Harper's pants down--not off--and then Harper wrapped his legs around him. Impressive.

Too much sex.

I like this different way of looking at the shifters, how they were made, not born, and know nothing about themselves.

They use M/M romance stories as reference books. That's too funny.

What about Harper's job?

Odd that there are wooden floors in an old insane asylum. It was running until the 50's so I would expect linoleum.

Funny and different. I hope this is going to be a new series.

This is Stormy Glenn so, of course, it was great!
Really liked the fact that the werewolves in this book have no idea about mates (or mating in general) and they are not effin' rich - they have to work to make a living and that makes it all more relatable.

Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥ 3 ½ - 4 Hearts

Harper is flamboyant, vibrate, outrageous, and says what he thinks and wants. When he happens to notice a chipped nail he stops at a sidewalk cafe to dig for his nail file. He doesn't even care that the table has already been taken. Once he fixes his little emergency he finally notices that hot and sexy man sitting at the table. So he starts to flirt with the man and states what he would like to do with him, and gets turned down.

Memphis has no clue to what to make of the man who propositions him. The over-the-top diva is far from his normal pickups. But even does later he can’t stop thinking about him or imagining what being with him would be like. So Memphis decides to go to Harper one night. Memphis ends up getting a whole hell of a lot more than he thought he would.

These two are very hot and sexy together. Maybe a little kinky even as they can barely keep their hands off each other. I liked that they just accept each other as they are. Neither tries to change the other. They are just happy to have found their other half.

I loved Harper. He is just so free and happy to be himself. He knows not many people understand him. But he won’t change who he is. His reaction to finding out about werewolves is pretty funny. His whole demeanor turns the rest of the pack on their ears. Harper takes everything thrown at him and accepts Memphis and his pack. He helps to make things better for them all. Plus he definitely brought a good amount of humor to the story.

There were a couple of things I questioned. Let the first night they were together. Without giving away too much, I didn’t exactly like how it came about, although it was very steamy. There was another time, but really it was the circumstances I didn't like.

All in all, I really did enjoy this book. It’s not billed as a series, but I honestly hope Stormy Glenn makes it into one. There are definitely avenues for more books dealing with the secondary characters.

When Harper gets kidnapped by a madman, Memphis runs to the rescue, and in doing so reveals his darkest secret. But there is a lot more going on than either of them know, especially when the bond between them creates more than either of them expected.

Summary:

I immediately fell in love with Harper's off the chart attitude to be himself and darn anyone who can't accept him. That didn't go over too well when he first met Memphis, but even when they didn't click he remained true to himself. Memphis had his own problems that made him deny his desire for Harper until he gave in for one night, but that didn't work out the way he thought it would, much to their delight. Add in Harper's best friend and fellow diva Truman adding humor and fun to the mix. Between Truman and Harper you never knew what they would come up with next keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. It was interesting how Memphis and his pack mates didn't have a clue about the paranormal world even after they were turned. It was fascinating how Harper not only accepted them, but was possibly they only one who could help them to learn about their new world and being Memphis's mate just added to the confusion. I loved every minute and hope that their story has just begun.

Harper Brooks is outrageous, there’s no other word for it. His usual outfit consists of short shorts worn with boots and a leather jacket. He’s styled to within an inch of his life and a broken nail totally ruins his day. He’s also not shy. When he sees a tall, intriguing man with the most beautiful voice he tells him exactly what he would like to do to him, in vivid detail. He’s a little sad but not surprised when he’s turned down. But he is who he is and he doesn’t change for anyone. But forgetting the man is more difficult than anticipated.
Memphis can’t forget the beautiful outrageous man that propositioned him in broad daylight and even though he is not looking for a relationship or any other type of commitment, he wants one night with him. Neither them could have predicted what follows…

Loved this. Laugh-out funny, unusual, highly entertaining. I hope there’s more to come.

Oh my, this book was so thrilling, and I just love, love, loved it! Harper was the sexiest, funniest, snarkiest little imp in the life of Memphis, who by the way ends up being his werewolf mate. I thought it was creative, or unique how every pack member was named after a specific city. There's a bit of violence when Harper gets kidnapped and I was on the edge of my seat just hoping that Memphis would come to the rescue. This was naturally a well executed read and I couldn't put it down. Memphis and his pack plus Harper and his bestie, Truman , learn a lot about the workings of shifters and mating. I love reading a book that ends the way this one did, and was full of fun and sexy enticement plus a bit of action. Mesmerizing book, for sure!! :) I'll be reading a lot more by this author.

Enjoyable and would love more!

Oh god! Was this book fun. Totally loved sassy Harper and sexy Memphis. Right from their first meeting, they were delicious.. Loved the automatic connection between them. I also liked that Memphis and his pack didn't really know the "rules" of being a werewolf. I liked that they had to learn as they went. I also liked that they weren't loaded and had to work for the money to fix up the compound. I like stories about established packs but it's nice to read about a new one sometimes too. Seeing a bunch of wolves coming together and forming a family makes me happy.

I liked the characters a lot, especially Harper, but his friend Truman turned out to be quite the little spitfire too. I'd like more of him and Jackson.

Diva

Thought the book was great. The ending felt more like a cliffhanger and once I searched for the next in the series it was surprising to see there wasn’t one. This book left too many questions to give it 5 stars. Too many other characters we have no clue what happen or what will happen. This book had so much potential. I had never read a book that the paranormal didn’t have a clue about themselves. That was the true story for me. It made the book extremely interesting.

it was rather good, different vs stormy glenn shifter like books. but still gives you the insta-love mate thing. I am hoping this is a series and not just a one standing book. there are lots of questions with little answers. while the "villian" was not really a villian and was easly dismissed and I mean that very literally. you still get an enjoyable read from it. all in all I got my feel good read with a HEA!

Really liked it!

Great story...funny and charming, romantic and sweet. Harper is a dream! Snarky Diva who meets Memphis and flirts with him, and he promptly gets rejected. However, there were sparks and one night Memphis is compelled to see Harper. Amidst their hot sex...Memphis bites Harper and soon life is never the same again!

Their chemistry is off the charts...lots of humor and a great storyline. A solid enjoyable read!

Cute characters. The story is fun and a little over the top. I enjoyed reading it. Nice comfort read.

Re-read: I still think it is a cute short story. I know there are many out there that would not like it due to the dreaded . I didn't mind that as much because, really, the whole concept of the story is waaaay out there;) It is just fun.

So... is this turning into a series or what? Ending up being pretty cute story. I especially liked the OH MY moments of clarity from modeling actions/consequences after paranormal romance books. Like the conclusion that Harper gets that they are mates. Mate behavior during full moon. Calling the group a Pack.

Too bad Truman and Jackson didn't really get any air time.

Yeah!!!! I got a lot of what I enjoy in a m/m book in this story. It was so good, and I loved Harper, he was devilish, sneaky, snarky, and all around wonderful. He was perfect for Memphis! And who doesn't love a big bad alpha that falls for the opposite of what he normally goes for. And he fell hard. It was great. And I loved the addition to Bristol. I really wanted more.
