Rowan's Lost Backpack

Rate this book
Rowan lost his backpack and found his new daddy.

I don’t exactly hide who I am. I don’t announce it either.

Which is how I end up at Chained with the backpack. Instead of seeing the adorable clothes and favorite stuffie I’d packed for my night in the little room with friends, I’m staring at a laptop, three neckties, and a leather portfolio.

I didn’t just lose my backpack. I stole someone’s work bag.

I’m in so much trouble.

It takes me all night to work up the courage to call the number I find inside. I get voice mail and manage to spit out what happened.

The next morning, a text bings with a meet-up address, one of the most powerful law firms in the city. I don’t put it together until I’m standing in a huge corner office, looking up at the hottest daddy I’ve ever seen. He has my backpack, too, and from the smile on his face, he knows exactly what the items inside mean.

Rowan’s Lost Backpack is a sweet age play romance featuring a little who loses his little backpack and finds his new daddy, the daddy who finds it, an accidental crime, snuggles, cuddles, stuffies, footie jams, a memorable day at Chained, new beginnings, some old friends, true love, and a guaranteed happily ever after. If you like your romances on the Hallmark side but a bit kinkier, check out Rowan’s Lost Backpack by USA Today Bestselling author Della Cain and her bestie and frequent partner in crime, Kaytea Kat.

Summit and Rowan are super cute together. Their bags getting mixed was most definitely Summit’s fault, but Rowan was insistent that it was his. I love the thoughtfulness that Summit put into picking the bag and accessories that he got for Rowan. The fact that the color scheme of the ring and the event in the epilogue was based off of the two colors of the bag he got for him is absolutely adorable!

I just have to mention this hilarious thought that Rowan had. Toward the end, they decided to move in together and they hired movers to move some stuff. They kept the nursery door locked and just had the movers stack the boxes for that room outside the door. Rowan had the most hilarious thought that the movers probably assumed that it was a sex dungeon. I laughed so hard! Like, I am fairly certain that nobody’s first thought to a private room that’s locked is “oh, they keep this room locked so it must be a sex dungeon,” lol. It’s even funnier because it was Rowan who thought it. That is definitely something a Little would think, lol.

There were a couple of small inconsistencies, such as one scene that was directly after where Rowan got his bag back and was with his Little friend, and they ended up needing to leave and it was mentioned that Rowan just put their regular clothes on top of both of their Little clothes, however, Rowan was already in his regular clothes and not his Little ones since he didn’t have them since they were in his backpack which he didn’t have and there was no time for him to have changed after he got it back before this moment. This was directly stated as the case right before this from Summit’s POV. It also said that Rowan bought treats that he planned on sharing with his friend, putting them in the bag before the mixup, but Rowan ended up sharing them after the mixup, but before he discovered the problem, which doesn’t really make sense since the treats were in his bag that he didn’t have and he also would have noticed the mixup sooner in that case.

Overall, it’s a cute story, and I think Summit and Rowan are a good match.

Review: Rowan’s Lost Backpack (Found by Daddy #19)

This installment is a short, high-intensity age-play romance that leans heavily into comfort, coincidence, and instant emotional attachment rather than slow development.

The story starts with a simple mistake—Rowan accidentally picks up the wrong backpack—and quickly escalates into a meet-cute built around that mix-up. What could have been a mundane inconvenience becomes the catalyst for connection. The contrast between what Rowan expects (a normal night out with friends) and what he discovers (a high-powered law office and an intimidating, composed man tied to his mistake) sets the tone for the entire book: structured authority meeting vulnerability.

Summit, the “wrong backpack” owner, is positioned as an immediately competent, controlled figure—someone who operates in a high-status professional world but is also unexpectedly connected to Rowan’s personal life through the returned items. The dynamic between them relies less on external conflict and more on recognition and acceptance. Once the misunderstanding is cleared, the story shifts into emotional reassurance and caretaking themes.

The romance is centered on comfort dynamics: safety, guidance, and trust rather than tension or pursuit. Rowan’s perspective emphasizes uncertainty and nervousness, while Summit’s presence functions as stabilizing and reassuring. The relationship escalates quickly, with emotional bonding prioritized over realism or gradual pacing.

Stylistically, the book is very direct and condensed, typical of shorter romance entries in interconnected series. It prioritizes emotional payoff—being seen, accepted, and cared for—over plot complexity. Supporting elements like the “Chained” venue and shared history references exist mainly to reinforce the series universe rather than drive independent narrative arcs.

Overall, Rowan’s Lost Backpack is a comfort-focused, highly stylized romance that emphasizes caretaking, safety, and instant emotional attachment. It will appeal most to readers already invested in the series’ dynamic and tone, rather than those looking for standalone realism or gradual relationship development.

This is book 19 in the Found by Daddy series. Each book is a standalone read. This is the story of Rowan and Summit. The two meet through a bag mix up. Summit is a lawyer and stops at a bakery to pick up a snack and treats for the office. Rowan is at the same bakery making deliveries for a friend. Unbeknownst to them, they each leave with the others backpack. Rowan is shocked to find out at Chained when the mandatory bag search shows a computer lap top and not his stuffie and little outfit. He leaves the bag secured at the front desk and enters the club with his friend. He will figure out how to return it tomorrow. Summit realizes that he has grabbed the wrong bag and worries about confidential client information on his laptop. Luckily he has a tracker for the laptop and sees that it is currently sitting at Chained. Summit is a daddy and recognizes Rowan's little belongings for what they are. The two meet and switch bags. Before they really have a chance to talk, Rowan needs to leave to help his sick friend. But using his daddy smarts, Summit slips his card with contact info into Rowan's bag before he leaves. This is their story. This is a cute no angst story. It is sweet and relaxing to read. I loved their characters and how they blended together seamlessly. This is a fun, quick read that I really enjoyed.

Rowan accidentally grabs the wrong backpack at Chained and ends up with a stranger’s work bag instead of his little gear. After a night of panicking, he reaches out to the owner and is called to a major law firm the next morning. There he meets Summit — a powerful, gorgeous Daddy who already has Rowan’s real backpack and clearly understands exactly what its contents mean.

This short story was such a sweet, fated‑feeling romance. Rowan and Summit only meet because of a mixed‑up backpack, but it genuinely feels like destiny — they fit together so naturally. I loved how Rowan gently encouraged Summit to work smarter, giving him more time for himself and for the relationship they were building. It was also lovely to see them take the time to grow as both boyfriends and as a Daddy/little pairing, letting trust and understanding develop at a steady pace. The whole story is easy to read, warm, and emotionally satisfying — a charming, low‑stress romance with a perfect accidental‑meeting start. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

What a great story! Rowan is a little who happens to find out that he grabbed the wrong backpack somewhere during his deliveries. Filled with some of his little things, he’s shocked to find that the backpack he grabbed at the bakery is filled with some very not little things, like a laptop. He will find out about the mistaken swap when he tries to get into Chained and can’t because of the electronics in the bag. Summit is the owner of the other backpack and he’s just as shocked as Rowan to find he has the wrong bag. He has a tracker on his and is able to locate his backpack and Rowan. The two will switch their bags and decide to get to know each other. Taking things slowly, they will find that they are perfect for each other. A new backpack will help the two of them grow their little/Daddy bond and I just love how their story ends!.

Hang on get comfortable you won’t put it down until our little finds his daddy. Rowan loves his backpack and takes it everywhere until one day he accidentally picks up the wrong backpack and everything that could go wrong because he lost his favorite safe bag, but it leads him to meet and greet. Summit controlled professional, intimidating to most or can be when needed and currently in possession of the wrong backpack seeking the owner but when he finds him he knows he has to be gentle especially after finding out who the pack belonged to by looking through the items he also felt a connection to the owner of the pack. After meeting at Chained to switch packs him getting his highly confidential laptop him getting his stuffie/outfit the magnetic pull is there but neither of them have time so he put his card in the backpack hoping he will get a call will he be strong enough to give him a call, and will they find happiness somewhere along the way?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Rowan, who is a Little, he misplaced his bag one day after a delivery and took someone else’s bag with him. Summit is a lawyer and on the way to his office. He stopped off at a bakery to pick up some pastries and sweet Meats for his staff, and when he picked up his bag off the floor, it was the wrong bag. When he opened his bag, he realised it belonged to a Little when he searched where his bag was, it was at Chained, the kink club that he occasionally played at. That is where he met Rowan, the two of them hit it off and eventually became his ever after. This was a really cute story that had a lot more in it, story was great, and the characters were even better.

Rowan, in making a delivery to the bakery, lost his backpack. Sumit on visiting the bakery left with the wrong backpack. Confusion entails but fortunately both men are members of the same club and Summit, very much a Daddy, is quite certain he has found a Little in Rowan, a Little he wants to get to know better.

With Big dates, Little dates and plenty of fun along the way indulge yourself with a cute and charming romance, some daddy-little kink, a wonderful community of found-family, plenty of nuggies, mac n' cheese and of course cake! The series, now on its 19th book, shows no sign of slowing down and the stories just get cuter!.

I love the stories in this series. Adorable Littles and their strong, yummy Daddies. I must say, this was my favorite. Della Cain has been accused of writing Kinky Hallmark. Yes, that should be a new category.
The meet cute takes place after Rowan grabs the wrong backpack from the changing room at Chained. He finds a phone number in the work bag, and he very bravely calls and arranges a swap. The bag belongs to Summit, a workaholic lawyer and Daddy.
Summit needs Rowan. The Little lights up his life. And adult Rowan teaches him how to have a work/life balance. They're adorable together in both roles.

“I just wanted to make sure you weren’t feeling bad about ending up with the wrong bag.”

This is book 19 in the Found by Daddy series by Della Cain and Kaytea Kat. When I saw this one on Booksprout I picked it up immediately. I really love this sweet series. The books are quick reads that will make you smile and are guaranteed to be at least a four star read. What's not to like about that? I'm all for instant gratification.

Ending up with the wrong backpack, no one got arrested, both are members of Chained, Daddy/little, tubby time with mermaids, milkshakes served along with the metal cup they are made in are the best

When I choose this book to read, because I liked what I read about it. The beginning of the story went a bit different as I thought it would go. But who cares, because it did work for me.
Especially because Rowan his first meeting with Summit was a cut short thanks to Rowan taking care if his friend Sammy. I really liked that about him. That he cares so much about Sammy.
Summit is a workaholic and Rowan makes him see that there is more than only work when they grow more and more closer. I like how Summit is taking care of Rowan and checks in on his boundaries.
Nice to see some other familiar characters in this book.
If you are into this stories, this is a story for you.

I enjoy these cute stories for a light, low angst read. This one fits the series, but it seemed different to me. Rowan was cute, but we really didn’t have much little time with him. I felt he was more a younger little, but his little times didn’t seem to fit for me, except tubby time and the ocean story that Summit read and embellished for him. I liked both Rowan and Summit and the way they met.

Seeing Miss Lily is always fun, she has such good ideas for the Littles at Chained. Hopefully Sammy will find his Daddy soon, too.

If you're familiar with this series, you've met Rowan in his friend's books, but here we get to really see and understand him. When he grabs the wrong sachel, he ends up with Summit's instead. Summit is a high powered lawyer with a sensitive and caring demeanor. These two are so ideally crafted for eachother! The story flows effortlessly, with a lack of angst that is highly appreciated. With a clear progression, the relationship is realistic and relateable. Della Cain has proven why she's one of my one-click authors!.

So cute.

Like the other stories in the series, this was an adorable sweet read. Rowan was an awesome friend to Sammy. Summit was very sweet about the bag mix up. He’s a diplomatic level headed guy which makes him a great Daddy. I gave this 4 stars because their meeting each other was different than what the blurb said it would be. Also, I would have liked a little more of their relationship journey.

As part of the Found By Daddy series, these authors continue to please. This is a lovely story that follows Rowan and Summit from a mixup that leads to a first meeting to their happily ever after.

As a novella, it moves quickly, catching snapshots of their relationship over time. If you like a sweet, DDlb story with low angst, this is for you.

Thank you to Booksprout, Della Cain, and Kaytea Kat for the advanced copy. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

Rowen accidentally switched his backpack with someone else. His backpack with all his Little favorites is switched with a powerful lawyer who happens to be a Daddy named Summit. So begins the latest "Lost" book with the cutest "Little" accident, the hottest Daddy and the guiltiest "Little" accidental thief. I liked this one! It's light on the burn but sweet on the details of the whole courtship to a life together. I received a copy of this through BookSprout and this is my voluntary opinion.

Rowan and Summit's meet cute was adorable. Both laughing off that they got the wrong backpack. From the beginning we see how loyal Rowan is. He put his friend above Summit even if he was interested. Luckily Summit saw this as a good trait and decided to still pursuit Rowan. Summit as a Daddy was caring and knew what Rowan needed. This book was mostly getting to know each other to have a solid relationship. A book filled with positivity and heart felt moments.

When a little and a daddy both set their bags down in a cafe, then pick up the wrong one, they find each other at a club to switch and instantly are attracted to one another.

They were both very sweet and I enjoyed the fast pace, sweet story between them.

I would have loved a bit more of their story together, but this was super entertaining.

Totally sweet! Rowan, really is the sweetest. I think it's because he allows himself to be vulnerable. I like this story a lot because the relationship path is considerate, sweet with a hint of pepper. Daddy, is an absolute delite. Characters are likeable and down to earth. Great flow, nice supporting characters. Well done!
