ASHLEY ANTOINETTE COLEMAN is one of the most successful female writers of her time. The feminine half of the popular married duo, Ashley and JaQuavis, she has co-written over 40 novels, including the bestselling Cartel series. Several of her titles have hit The New York Times bestsellers list, but she is most widely regarded for her continuing racy saga, The Prada Plan. Born in Flint, MI, she was bred with an innate street sense that she uses as motivation in her crime filled writings.
Picking up a deal with publishing powerhouse St. Martin's Press while simultaneously inking deals at Warner Brothers Studios and NBC/Universal, Ashley shows no signs of slowing down. She is currently hard at work on a new book series and two television pilots.

Leave it to Ashley to write the most deranged and mentally ill characters ever. She writes the most binge worthy series, because I’m seriously appalled by a lot of things that occurred in this book. So appalled that I wanted to stop reading. But this was a mess and I’m fully invested. Dom is the epitome of these men nowadays. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. What’s up with Ashley writing about women who mess around with their lovers friends after they’ve been treated so poorly? I just can’t get with that. Onto book three.
This is so messy and I’m invested so guess I’m messy too. Apparently Noni was the original Morgan. Reading this feels like I’m reading the Butterfly series mixed with The Prada Plan — just a very on-brand Ashley Antoinette story.
this was a short read I enjoyed this book the story line was on point I just hate this was really short other than that I would recommend this book to my friends Ashley did a good job with this book on to part 3
Another well written book by Ashley Antoinette! I love all of her books so, SO much. Love Burn is top tier and definitely doesn't deserve anything less than 5 stars! I love her writing style so much and I cannot recommend her books enough. Give me more!
I figured I would read the second installment, but again it spent chapters in the past. It gets a little confusing when a person is called by two different names. Just not interested in reading anymore.
Ashley Antoinette pen game is not one to be messed with . Reading this book is like your almost inside of it . Some parts will have you screaming and gagging . Some parts your heart may even feel like it's breaking with the characters . Karma is no joke and not to be played with what goes around comes around you have to be careful of how you play it .. I'm kinda torn and which way she will go .. I think everyone should read this book I like this side of Ashley's Antoinette pen game .
Words can't seem to explain the amazing work Ashley has created with Love Burn. This series has it all. And OMG Merci what can i say he is every bit of sexy wrapped up in Rude Boy. Tat already has the pit bull lock jaw on her ass... I hope Noni snaps herself back so she could take hold back of her life. This series is awesome you won't be disappointed
I loved this book.... Not only is it a page turner, it was full of surprises...The book took an unexpected turn with Noni and Dom that I was not expecting and the secret that Tat is keeping from Noni and Dom is life threatening and crazy.... I recommend reading this book.
This can't end like this!! And now I have to wait until May!! The story keeps getting better and better!! I hope Noni gets a backbone & goes what she gotta do because Dom & Tat are gonna reap what they sow real soon.
Nothing less than 5 stars for this book! I love Noni and feel bad for her all at the same time. She loves Dom, but he's no earthly good. And that lowdown Tat ain't shit.
Dom is sick to have a relationship with Noni’s best friend and then have a baby by her. What the hell?
You tell one lie, you have to tell another lie to cover the first one and then the story of deception begins.
Dom just couldn’t be faithful to Noni even through her consistent loyalty to him. He was more loyal to his friends, connect and her best friend than Noni.
Okay so once Dom gave her the info on who he was and why he took her to Mexico he gave her her waking papers it was her cue to get the hell out.
“I love him Gram, but he’s a bad guy,” she said. “They all are baby. Some are drinkers, some liars, some cheaters, some schemers… all men are bad men, we just have to love the good in em’. When you find the man that’s yours you take the bad with the good, because when it’s good baby… it’s the best thing in the world,” Gram said.”
I like Gram. Like she said you made a stupid choice by marrying him you didn’t even know him and then didn’t even give her a chance to meet him first. He lied to her in the beginning.
Did Dom and Noni’s relationship suffer due to the four miscarriages?
Merci said it best being with Dom as a setback and a downgrade. It took her down, made her insecure, took the life out of her, killed her dreams.
““You’re supposed to give the energy that you receive from a person ma. I’m just giving you what you give me. It’s called reciprocity. If a nigga give you shade, you give shade. If he shows you love, you show love. Stop giving so much if you’re not getting anything back. You deserve better.””
Crazy how Tatiana was in competition with her own best friend and Noni didn’t even know it.
Tat is sick. The fact that Dom was married and she expected more.
““If you accept the bare minimum from a nigga then that’s what he’ll always give you. Come on.. have a seat.””
“Love shouldn’t be this hard. It should feel effortless, you know? Easy like Sunday morning, not hard as fuck like a miserable ass Monday.””
““You’ll learn that there is beauty in your solitude, ma. Just because he was around you every day doesn’t mean he was ever truly there for you. There’s a difference in a nigga that keeps you around because he loves you and one that wants to hold onto you so that another man can’t have you,” Merci said. “A lot of times with men we get a beautiful woman and we get used to her. We deal with the PMS, we see the attitude, the everyday process of it all, and we start taking it for granted. It’s not intentional but it happens. It becomes a problem when it turns into neglect and disrespect though, ma. Only you know when you’ve had enough.”
I love Merci already. I respect him. I respect that he respects his friendship with Don but that he also respects Noni and his feelings for her. I like that he offered to help and left the door open once she gets herself together.
🔥 Love Burns: Book 2 by Ashley Antoinette – The Heat Just Turned All the Way UP 🔥 Hey, hey, my favorites 😁💚. #annieethebookiee is back with another book review.
Whewww, listen… this series right here?! Book 2 took everything I thought I knew and said, “Nah, let me show you how it's really done.” Ashley Antoinette ate with this one. No crumbs!
Let’s start with the FMC—girl, I wanted to shake her and hug her at the same time. And her best friend? Yeah… she needs her behind WHOOPED. The nerve, the betrayal, the audacity? Whew. I was heated! 😤
Now… Mercy?! MY MAN MY MAN MY MAN! 😍 That man had me cheesin’, swoonin’, and kicking my feet. Ashley wrote him too well. Lbs. He’s giving patient, powerful, and passionate—all at once. I am in love!
And Dom? BOGUS ain’t even the word. He’s dead wrong on every level, and I need him to be dealt with accordingly. ✋🏽
This book was pure drama, emotion, and fire. The chemistry, the secrets, the pain—it was all so raw and real. I couldn’t put it down. I’m not just invested… I’m obsessed.
⭐ Rating: 5/5 – because anything less would be disrespectful.

While Dom is laid up with trifling ashes Tat, he has now became the lowest dog on the planet, But my girl is grabbing her belongings and saying farewell and heading to St Tropez. Noni breaks down but when she runs in Merci she is sho led but understands, meanwhile Dom is losing his mind in the worst way especially with all his owed money is gone! Life is strange and he has never been angry at his wife but right now between owing the wrong people and knowing his marriage is down the tubes what can he say. Merci knows Noni is forbidden fruit but they both cannot help but to wonder……Tat Nonis bff from the sandbox is as low as the planet also but the secrets she have will leave your job hanging wide open… and Don’s Queen is on her way home!!! Part 3 baby here I come!
The story was at times romantic; but it was always challenging. The story evinces how women often prevaricate when it comes time to answer the question ‘How did I get into this situation?’. The fact is that Noni is well educated and dumb. We hear things like “Noni did nothing wrong”, “Noni did everything right”, or “Noni was brainwashed”. What I hear is “It is okay to make stupid choices, and if things go wrong you can always blame everything on the man and only pretend to take some accountability”. Eve fell prey to slick talk too, and where did that get us? Now one would think that women would have learned by now — especially the “educated” ones. | The other issue I have is how poorly these stories reflect Black America. They glorify drugs, crime, sexual immorality, and a woeful lack of curiosity about, let alone actual reverence for the Righteousness of GOD.
Merci & Noni: 😩 Ugh, very wrong but could be so right! WOW!!!!!! A kid with the best friend??? 🥹😩 The bestfriend Tat….wanted Dom so bad… that she was willing to destroy her friendship with Noni and Tat is HIV positive!!!!! Tat is not to be trusted either, she is relentless, jealous, and the type of person to do whatever to bring you down with her. Favorite Quote: “If you accept the bare minimum from a nigga then that’s what he’ll always give you.” ‼️ Man im sorry but im rooting for Merci and Noni. She deserves the love he could give her, But honestly it’s too good to be true.
What I learned: KNOW YOUR WORTH ALWAYS!! Don’t sabotage your goals and dream, even if you fall in love. 4⭐️

As soon as Tat sent the pic of Dom in bed I knew she would turn out to be Noni’s friend but I definitely blown away by the rest of her story. She is playing with a lot of lives with her deception and there is no sympathy here for her. Dom is so grimy for how he has treated Noni and although I don’t wish any harm to come to him, he needs to bow out of Noni’s life and let her find true happiness with someone else. That someone else is Merci. Can the bro code in this case be null and void? Can Noni and Merci be together without the death of Dom?
I am going to assume this was all one giant book that I read and am not refreshing with novellas? Noni married Dom without knowing him. He is a serial cheater and not the businessman she thought he was. Well, a businessman of sorts. She is feeling his friend/partner Merci now. She took his money and left the country. Money that doesn't even belong to him. Another 2.5 star read. Ashley Antoinette usually fleshes out her characters. But not so much in this series.
The story was really heading in a great direction and then BOOM it was over! This was like 1 day of material. I understand authors wanna keep readers coming back for more, but a 1 day story is doing too less. However, with that being said I cannot wait to see what happens next!
Storyline seems a bit rushed.. And all over the place. I wanted to get a little more defined details of why Noni was leaving. Maybe at least after the great reveal about her fake friend and hubby. I just thought it would of been a bit juicier... She's still one of my favorite authors. #Asharmy #foreverafan
Wow..so we get to see just how unworthy of Noni her snakish husband truly is. Dom doesn't know the meaning of love. I loved how Merci broke it down to Noni; we know that a man will do what a woman allows, but Merci spoke truth! Sometimes what the heart wants just needs to be ignored. Can't wait to see what Noni does when she learns more truth. Loving this series!
Noni is torn and I so understand. Dom has left her no choice at all. And that dirt Tat....HIV. I'm speechless and her dirty self just don't care who catches it. This book is short but really awesome.
I love Merci cuz he not with the games. I still feel like she shouldn’t have took the money but hey at least she didn’t spend it. Is she bout to go home and stay with Don or work on herself???
