Hi, I'm Ryan! I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1980 and since then have written several books. You can read my Wikipedia page for more, or check out my author site at RyanNorth.ca!

I'm the author of the webcomic Dinosaur Comics (that's the comic where the pictures don't change but the words do, it's better than it sounds and I've also done crazy things like turn Shakespeare into a choose-your-own-path adventure, write a comic for Marvel about a girl with all the powers of a squirrel, or mess up walking my dog so badly it made the news.

I'm working on more stuff as we speak, hopefully it's good

"Dude." - MARCELINE

Untitled

Oh my Glob! What is happening to Candy Kingdom??? Looks like a giant pink fluffy gum is invading every spot of it... and it knows... mind control??? Aw, man!

Untitled

One of my favourite volumes so far! The story was so fast-paced and I absolutely loved the plot! Also this one is centered on Princess Bubblegum and Marceline! What more can a mortal ask for? Also, please don't read Goodreads plots... They always spoil the fun! Not, cool, dude. Not cool 🤨

Love adventure time, but the story was ok. Ive read better in this series. Enjoyed seeing Princess Bubblegum and Marceline having adventures but honestly it kinds bugs em that they are trying to force "are they or aren't they" relationship. They are friends! Nothing more!

Just a quick review of this, as it's pretty similar to all the previous volumes.

Familiar characters dominate the stories as usual, including Jake, Finn, BMO, Princess Bubblegum, Ice King, Marceline and even Lemongrab. The relationships between the characters are nice in this, especially regarding PB and Marceline.

The stories are funny, weird and super enjoyable, full of humour and colour and adventure (duh). The fourth wall is, of course, practically nonexistent, as the commentary along the bottom of the pages addresses the audience directly. It really immerses you in the world of Finn and Jake, as well as adding another layer of humour. The commentary makes these comics unique from most others.

The art is awesome. I still love looking through the gallery of covers at the end. The colours are so vivid and the styles are all so wonderful. It's one of the nicest comics to just look at.

Of course, it is kinda childish. But it's an easy and relaxing read, and there are some very subtle jokes and comments that only older readers will understand.

4 stars. It's a really fun read, and I love all the characters so much!

Once again we have our first issue which plays with storytelling (ftw) with a first person POV comic, which was delightful. And then we have a run of comics about one of Princess Bubblegum's experiments gone wrong. With Lemongrab! And also we get to see Marceline and PB working together which is always fun.

I enjoyed this one, but not as much as the other ones. I was suprized at the outward saying by Princess Bubblegum that she is always saved by Jake & Finn (and I don't know if that's true so far). I really her as a character, and I hope she save the day too.

Also..omg, love BMO. SO MUCH. Often my favourite moments are BMO moments.

Very imaginative and clever. There's stuff here that adults will find funny and will go over kid's heads.
Wish I would have found this series sooner. An amazing mix of characters.
The back of the volume says "what's made the Adventure Time comic book such a success is that it uses the medium to create an experience that is drastically different from watching the television show." Very true.

Other volumes might’ve been better. Enjoyed lemongrabs feature and the second half of the book as the story picked up.

On a side note; I dislike the footnotes ..

I felt that the main story was wrapped up too quickly, but I thoroughly enjoyed the journey to get there and the burgeoning friendship between PB and Marceline was adorable. A fun read.

I am just crushing these and it is a great time. Depressive states are no fun but bless you Adventure Time. This was my favorite thus far. So much PB. And the beginning? Major heart eyes.

The Candy Kingdom is in dire peril and Jake and Finn are indisposed, so we get a Princess Bubblegum/Marceline team-up to save the day. Plus the Earl of Lemongrab, a favorite character of mine because he's so very weird, makes an appearance. The dynamic between Bubblegum and Marceline, their interactions, their dialogue, is fabulous. These volumes continue to provide exceptional entertainment and delight.

In this amazing volume Marceline and Princess Bubblegum team up to save everyone (including Finn and Jake) from an old experiment that Bubblegum created years ago. There are some moments that brought laughs. It was mixture of Weird Science, Totally Spies, Charlie's Angels and Drake and Josh
