I just think it’s a little deceitful to use the witches’ road as your title and also quote agatha all along when it’s like. A fine but completely normal wiccan story.

what an absolute joy to read

This isn't exactly what it says on the tin - it's not an Agatha All Along tie-in (two years too late), but a Wiccan story in which he tries to regain some of his lost magic after the Demiurge powers are stripped away from him. Still firmly in the comic universe, just with some corporate synergy in the title.

The main story here is pretty neat. It takes a few liberties with the aforementioned Demiurge powers, but it manages to put them back in the toybox by the end of the series so I wasn't too put out. The dynamic between Billy & Teddy was fun, even if Teddy was kind of...indisposed for most of the book, and the artwork's pretty solid throughout.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Marvel decided to put the Raid Of Ultron one-shot in here, since it's basically a follow-up to the series and wasn't included in the initial solicit. This one's a bit more wide-reaching as it also served as Marvel's Pride one-shot for 2026, but it's still firmly a Wiccan & Hulking story, just with more of their extended (and also queer) family.

While I'm always sad that there's no ongoing Young Avengers comic at Marvel, I'll take what I can get, and Wiccan: Witches' Road scratches that itch nicely.

Confession time: I haven't kept up with Billy and Teddy since the 2013 Young Avengers run, but I do have vague knowledge of some of their previous whereabouts. That being said, I could read this without any problem understanding things, which I really appreciated. The story was interesting, the series had gorgeous art, and I loved the final three issues a lot. I'm hoping that maybe after the upcoming Wiccan & Hulkling: Raid of Ultron oneshot that we'll get a continuous series for them, or even a full Young Avengers reunion!

Sweet fairytalish 5-issue mini arc. I loved a lot of the story mechanics (the way they solved "keep teddy around without having an all-powerful shapeshifter just fight everything, for example). Great art. If I was a new reader, I wouldn't make this my first wiccan/hulking comic but I would happily make it my 3rd or 4th!

Set in the aftermath of Imperial, Witches Road provides a study into Billy Kaplan as a character that explores his relationship with both Magic and his loved ones while also featuring a few surprise, fun character appearances including Ultron’s daughter.
