Above the mist-shrouded Pit (home to the savage, zombie-like Fallen), Erris becomes a trainee pterodactyl rider, as her friend Timur reads ancient books, seeking knowledge.
When their leader, 'Risen' turns out not to be who he seems, and Erris discovers more about the Peakers' origins, who will believe or back her?
Ross Hughes's magnificent original storyline, monsters and compelling characters are a must for fans of Game Of Thrones, Stargate and The Hunger Games.
