Henceforth and Unstoppable is a reimagined origin of the Blaisdell family from the author's first novel, The Gathering A Tale of Nelly Butler, and it just might explain how Lydia Blaisdell came to be connected to America’s first documented ghost sighting in 1799. Although both books are connected, they can be read independently and in no particular order.

About the author

Michelle grew up in Maine and she has been actively involved with genealogy and local history for over 35 years. She is the author of the nonfiction two volume set of Vital Records of Bangor Maine published by Picton Press. After raising a large family Michelle had a nearly 20 year career in the newspaper industry before transitioning to promoting tourism in Maine. She is currently writing full time. Michelle and her husband share their home with their dogs Susan and Douglas.

OMG Where do I begin but this book is soooooooooooo good!
Michelle Shores writes with such a hunger it grabs your attention on the very 1rst page!
I loved her 1rst book as well. I hope you'll win more awards with this book you deserve it Michelle! Such an awesome read! Now I have to go & read some more of the book!

I’ve been looking forward to this book since I read The Gathering Room many years ago! This book grabbed me from the first page & found it hard to put down at night! The historical fiction was so well written & the twists that Michelle created were so phenomenal! I really enjoyed her explanations at the end that explained what was fact & what was fiction! This is absolutely another award winner for Michelle Shores! Thank You so much for this unputdownable story!

If you’ve read Michelle Shores’s The Gathering Room you already know that this author knows how to weave a compelling and complex tale from real places and events while adding in a little mysticism and magic.

Henceforth and Unstoppable is a perfect blend of historical fiction with a hint of the paranormal to keep you guessing—and it’s all in the name of love.

In the prequal to her award-winning novel, The Gathering Room; The Tale of Nelly Butler, Michelle E. Shores’ Henceforth and Unstoppable blends fiction, history, spiritualism, mystery, and suspense in this spell binding read. Shores research brought her to England and to real places and the history of real people that existed at the time the story evolves. Somehow she was able to meld the history of the area with her fictional writing style and sprinkle in a little bit of romance and healthy dose of legend. I can highly recommend this five-star book but be sure to read the section at the end of the book “What’s real, what’s not, and how it all came together.” Check out her website for more information about the book and blog.
