It took us thirty years to get more DC/Marvel crossovers, and I'm sad that the results were a bit mixed. There were some surprises, such as Zeb Wells, arguably the worst Spider-Man writer in the last twenty years, really nailing a Deadpool/Batman story, better than the one Grant Morrison wrote. There are some fun little stories, like Aquaman and Jeff and Krypto and Jeff, suggesting that Jeff might be the key to fun crossover tales. But as with the DC/Marvel volume, so many of these stories are too short to really go anywhere.

There is a fun miniseries idea in telling the story of a merged DC/Marvel universe, not in the Amalgam sense (although I sure wish we could get some more Amalgam) but in the way that a lot of these stories just casually assume a world where the DC and Marvel characters co-exist. It feels more like a tease than anything else, like someone giving you tasty appetizers but never delivering the full meal, and some of the appetizers are just microwaved mozzarella sticks.

3.5 stars first segment with deadpool was my favourite. In fact if there’s a crossover miniseries of just dead pool interacting with various DC characters I bet I’d give that 4 or 4.4 stars lol

A tale of two halves, on the one hand you have a bog standard but not unenjoyable crossover between Deadpool and Batman that ultimately is ok, and on the other you have a really great crossover between Spider-Man and Superman that captures the essence of the characters wonderfully, plus some other stories that range from fine to very good. The quality is definitely mixed, as is the substance. I’m really glad Marvel and DC are doing crossovers again, but I hope they can eventually come together and do something more substantial, because this feels a lot more like a proof of concept

This was a really fun book to read in trade after all the crossover comics we got this past year. While I remember not really liking the marvel side of the deadpool/batman crossover, the marvel backup stories were a lot cooler in my opinion. I also mostly bought this trade first because I really wanted to read shazam and thors crossover and I really liked it for what it was. I want some longer stories about these characters now that we've gotten some more crossovers, like a trade that actually is just one continuous story like avengers/jla.
But yeah had a lot of fun rereading these and would highly recommend.

Much like the Cosmic Kiss collection, this anthology features an enjoyable array of what if scenarios, though the brilliance of some of these, such as the Captain America/Wonder Woman story, makes me wish DC and Marvel could agree to develop a larger shared universe for an alternative version of key characters. Only one work felt truly “bad” to me: Frank Miller. His Old Man Logan especially just looked like an abstract young Wolverine drawn on a rushed deadline rather than a specific aesthetic that feels deliberate.

A mix of feelings for this one. Some very good heartfelt stories that show some good essences of the characters and their motives and interesting dynamics between one another. And then on the other hand just some mini stories that dont feel like there was a real point to doing them.

Loved this mash up of DC and Marvel. My two favorites were the two Jeff the land Shark stories and the Batman/Deadpool story!
